- Eileen (1/5): No one should be sent to stay at this place. It’s a disgrace. - The staff Changed rooms 3 times. Dirty, run down ,unkept ,dark , pool that you would never swim in furniture old tied. Could not unpack as the closet smelt like a toilet.

- Pilgrim (10/5): We meet again - It was convenient for where I needed to be nice quite place and staff was very welcoming. Tried to help as good as it got.. thanks and I will stay there again if I am around and then I will use the pool 😊 A little thing only that they call you in the morning to ask what you want for breakfast.. that should be done in the evening..but it is OK o measured it and case closed😉

- David (3/5): - Clean Property Stayed here in May and thought would give it another chance. Big mistake Once again no running water in shower and cold. Credit card machine did not work Takes 20 mins to find booking as they dont use computer and book they scroll through whats app messages to find your reservation. Property is clean but lacks the quality it has potential for. Restaurant closed once again even though they state its open on social media platforms.

- Bethel (4/5): Quiet Hotel in peaceful area - Took us 20 minutes to gain entry to the hotel on arrival at 11.15pm as staff were asleep. Reception guy had no idea of our booking as was unable to reboot his computer. He eventually rang his manager and we were assigned a room some 50 minutes after arriving. Breakfast is continental but only consisted of omelette and toast, pancakes not available oh and fruit on the odd occasion which becomes tiresome after 1 week. There is one sunbed around the pool which is old and no umbrellas. Only had 1 meal in the 2 weeks which was delicious but order way before your ready to eat. Room was spacious, had to ask for toilet roll a couple of times and a towel. Lovely quiet area with nice views down to Accra. Noone on reception to check out with or to help with cases and open the gate. Staff quietly pleasant but only talked if spoken to, Customer service not quite there but hotel is perfect for those staying for a couple of nights in peaceful surroundings.

- Tea (6/5): - Decent stay. Breakfast could be better. Tv didn’t work in room. No other alternative was given. Lavatory water had brown tint. Hotel security needs to improve..they allowed an uninvited guest to linger around the property until I came out my room. I made it clear I wasn’t expecting a guest, but the lady insisted I come downstairs to acknowledge the individual. I did not like that one but. Other than that it wasn’t terrible.
- Frederick (2/5): Appalling experience - Didn’t meet our expectations at all. Not worth the price! No functional standby generators. Upon arrival, the room wasn’t well cleaned, same for the bathroom. There were mosquitoes in the room as well. The pool a dirty, looks like the water hadn’t been changed in a long time. We suffered power outages at least 4 times and we had to just go out rather than stay in the heat. The annoying thing is, there was no communication whatsoever from the staff or hotel management. We had to pester them with calls just to find out what they were doing about the situation. From outside it looks 5 star, nice & plush but once you’re there It’s not even a 2!

Considering we had stay booked for 2 but only 1 towel was provided, maybe it's something could be looked at? Service was really friendly and helpful though. Pool could do with a touch more of cleaning, didn't stop me swimming though.

They went out of there way to make my stay nice and they really took care of the place the entire time. There is an amazing view there and a pool that overlooks the view, so a beautiful backdrop at night of the city.

They made our stay really enjoyable and always ready to help. The shower - there is no water pressure and middle of shower the water turned off whilst I was still showering. The toilet smells all the time in the bedroom.

There is a stunning view from the balcony rooms and the staff are absolutely lovely. The bed was comfortable and the room was in a good state. The bathroom quality was lacking.

- Neil (6/5): A difficult hotel to find, and a mixed experience when we arrived. - An attractive building in a quiet location of Accra. The staff stayed up late to welcome us and took good care of us when we arrived. Breakfast was vegetable omelette and toast - the best omelette I had in Ghana. The hotel is a long way from the centre of Ghana. It said it was in Bortianor. This was incorrect. There are no accurate paper or digital (GPS) maps of Ghana, so the hotel was impossible to find by SatNav. The telephone number was incorrectly stated on Booking.com, though we eventually managed to find the correct number from another source. It took well over an hour, late at night, to get to the hotel from the airport. The water pressure in the shower was poor and the temperature was no more than lukewarm.

- James (8/5): Great hotel in McCarthy Hill - The room was clean and spacious, with decent air conditioning, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and really looked after my friends and me during our stay. I loved the beautiful view of Accra from my bedroom window and the breakfast/bar area. It was difficult to locate the hotel when we first arrived, and we could not get through to the hotel on the contact telephone number we had been given.

- Robert (6/5): Needs a good sorting out - The staff are very friendly and will help out with any problems even ordering taxis and telling you how much it will cost in front of the taxi driver to stop them ripping you off. The pool on the photo looks green because when we got there it was because its badly maintained they need it sorted. The room was never cleaned properly because it's the reception guys that clean it only when you leave the hotel.

The pool was nice and clean and overall, it is a nice quiet location and the building is gated so there is the added security. The interior and exterior of the building is of high standards! no comment.

The breakfast was served so nice and the morning staff prince and andrews, are very helpful and kind. We wished we could of stayed longer but were unable to due to family commitments.b

- Verdy (10/5): A home away from home! - Every time I come to Accra, Hill View Hotel, McCarthy Hills, is my go-to stay! The staff are extremely welcoming, supportive, and friendly. In addition to the great staff and amazing room and food prices. The location is ideal! West Hill Mall is about 15 minutes from the hotel, Without traffic, The Accra mall is about 40minutes away. And if there isn't heavy traffic, it doesn't take long to reach some of the tourist sights [e.g. Black Star Square]. Lastly, the hotel is up on a hill and oversees the city. The noise from the city doesn't reach the place, thus it feels calm and serene. The view is also very beautiful! Especially at night. I love that they use fresh ingredients, however as a result of this, certain meals take a long time to prepare. Our lunch was a bit delayed.
