- khristianlara (2/5): Entitled old guys ruined our experience and hotel did nothing - Location is Amazing, just got harassed by a guy didn't want to let us fish.Me and my family where guests and the Hotel took sides with the weird harasser (non guest) giving my room number. Unfortunately we had to leave because didn't felt safe anymore. Go somewhere else, there's plenty of options a this price point for better service and less harassment

- Gabrielle (4/5): Very unclean - The property is very nice and conveniently located in AMI. However after going for the second year in a row we were very disappointed. Very dirty. One walk around the room and our kids feet were black. No mopping goes on only vacuuming and the same things like sand where still on the floor each time we went back. One day they didn't put towels for us and ended up bringing it quick when we called. Best customer service was from a young man named Tyler who switched out our rooms as soon as we got there and hadn't gotten the same one as the year prior ( due to space ). We loved the hotel prior to this stay, and will most likely not be back. Getting outdated and like I said very unclean. The couches and the carpets are also very filthy. Big worry especially when traveling with kids and you see little cockroaches in the room.

- catf545 (10/5): Great for families, friends, couples! - Girls trip! The units are great. Well appointed. Great location within walking distance to the beach and shops. We went food shopping and bought our own libations and enjoyed ourselves. There is a room with two queens and a bathroom, and a room with a king and bathroom, and laundry! The kitchen has everything you need. We rented beach chairs from Beach Bums, which were delivered free of charge, locked up on the bike rack, where we returned them after our stay to be picked up. There is also a dolphin cruise/sunset cruise offered right out back. A great place to stay.

You need to cross through a parking lot and the strip mall to get to the beach. This should not be a $1200/night hotel. I’d do your homework. Highly disappointing for a Marriott road warrior who stays in Marriotts weekly.

However, we had to move rooms three times due to mold from water leaks and AC return problems. To make matters worse, the elevator was out of service, and we were on the third floor.

The rooms are gigantic, very well kept, super comfortable and with anything and everything that you could possibly need. Even for the most demanding of us. Service - front desk did everything in their power to makes us feel welcome and pampered. Luis and Claudia are truly stars of hospitality!!!! Housekeeping - One of the best I have seen. The suites are impeccably clean. (If you read my reviews... I don't say that lightly LOL) So, what failed? Why the 4 stars? We were very unfortunate to have to deal with a broken elevator and a room on the third floor. This really put a damper on our vacation. There was plenty of frustration and wasted time. Specially at the time of going to the beach with chairs, cooler, umbrellas, etc. One of us had to go down to the front desk. Ask for the service door to be open, bring a luggage cart upstairs, load it up and then go to the front desk again. Ask for the service door on the third floor to be open so that we could come down in the service elevator. To make the matter even worse. This was a family vacation. It was particularly inconvenient for the older members with mobility issues. For an Autograph Collection hotel. This simply can't happen. This cannot exist. The elevator can't be broken for three days. That is unforgivable. My true rating is a 3 start. But I otherwise found the place so perfect that I want to give it extra consideration. Please, please. Don't allow this to happen. When you have only one elevator. You got to have the mechanism in place to have it fixed in a couple hours at the most!! This doesn't happen at Holiday Inn. PLEASE. I really hope to be back. Beautiful island, incredible place with the kindest people . Thank you to all that help!!!
- JasonG4082 (10/5): Great Service, Room, and Pool - This is a wonderful place. Emi was very helpful in setting us up with a beautiful, spacious 2-bedroom. It was very clean, full kitchen, washer and dryer, and balcony Claudia at the front desk also went above and beyond to make our stay special. Pool is a bit small but clean and wasn't busy at all when we were there. There is also ping pong which we enjoyed.

That means during a long day from the beach we did not take a full shower but some splash using ice cubes from the fridge mixed with the super hot water came out from the sink. Charged me extra 75 than the bill received from email. Chatted this issue with front desk but two days past still not solved. The facility is beautiful and spacious but the customer service, if there is any, is the worst. Marriot needs to look into this property and change the management to save future customers.

- Leah (10/5): AMI Waterline - Upon arrival, the desk clerk was super friendly and helpful. I believe he said his name was Luis. He had only been working for a couple of weeks but he was AWESOME! When we checked in our room, we did our normal wipe down, antibacterial spray, and check the bedding. Well, we discovered bugs that were extremely tiny and would normally be brushed away like lint but one moved which is what caught our eye. This is not a complaint but a highlight to the hotel staff, specifically Maggie, who came to our room and changed all three beds with fresh bedding. She was so friendly. Once we got clean beds, we had an awesome experience. Each day we interacted with staff, they were very friendly and helpful with which beach we should go to, where to eat, and how to catch the trolley. I would definitely come back.

- DonG1819 (10/5): Top Notch Anna Maria Hotel - I spent five nights at the Waterline Villas Autograph Collection hotel while on vacation with my family. I am a lifetime Titanium with Marriott with over 1,400 nights stayed. This is a very, very nice hotel and should be considered a go to place to stay if you plan to visit Anna Maria Island. We booked a two bedroom villa with a water view and large balcony. Be aware that the hotel will charge you a one-night deposit upon booking (which is refundable if you cancel before the cancellation deadline). Upon arrival, check in went very smoothly. The hotel is pet friendly ($150 fee for the entire stay) and we brought our 20 lb. dog with us which worked out wonderfully. The room/villa was fantastic....I can't praise it enough. Perhaps one of the nicest Marriott rooms I've ever stayed in. It was listed at 1,200 ft^2 but it seemed bigger than that. It comes with a nice-sized living room and full kitchen with a range, full-sized fridge, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, utensils, etc. There was a master bedroom with King bed, master bath with two small WICs. The second bedroom was bigger with two Queens and another full bath. No closet in the second bedroom but they had a dresser where you can hang up your clothes. Our room had a full-size washer and dryer which was extremely convenient. The balcony was huge and we could access it from both bedrooms and the living room. The decor in the room was very nicely done as well....top notch. As far as the view goes, our room was a 'water view' overlooking the swimming pool but the only water we could see was the marina that surrounds the hotel. Any view to Anna Maria Sound or Tampa Bay was blocked by trees and buildings. Waterline is located on the east side of Anna Maria and about half way up (north / south) the island. It is about a three block / five minute walk to Holmes Beach. There are several shops and restaurants within walking distance of Waterline. Downtown Anna Maria and Bean Point Beach (nicer than Holmes Beach IMO) are 1.5-2 miles away and about a 10 minute drive from Waterline. There is a Publix and some other stores about a seven minute drive away as well. There is a trolley (really a bus) stop right outside of the hotel. The hotel amenities were decent. We ate at the hotel restaurant - the Chateau Anna Maria - and it was quite good. The swimming pool was a little underwhelming. Pretty small but it usually was not busy. The hotel gym is also pretty small with a couple of treadmills, ellipticals, a bike and some weights. The equipment was of good quality. They have an onsite office to book boat / dolphin tours which we did not do. Housekeeping was solid and we really appreciate their flexibility because getting the room made up was a little tricky with our dog in the room. Great service from the front desk throughout our stay. If you plan to visit Anna Maria Island, I strongly recommend the Waterline Villas Autograph Collection hotel.

The villas are stunning, featuring high-end finishes and an elegant feel that truly elevates the stay. Emi and Claudia are awesome. They were welcoming, helpful and truly provided great Customer Service. Giselle, in particular, was outstanding. Her friendly and accommodating nature made our stay even more enjoyable. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, the luxurious accommodations, and the excellent service created a perfect getaway. We can't wait to return to this serene paradise. The villas are beautiful, stilish, clean, and stock with everything you need. The furniture was comfortable and the dining table was really cool like the ones on watches as well as the lights on top of it. The bed was very comfortable as well as the fluffy slightly longer pillows. I loved the shower head and the shower floor in the primary bedroom King size. What a beautiful property with the Marina and wild life in front of the resort. The area around it has really good restaurants as well. Everything was great but the most important part of our stay was how we were treated by the staff. They were very helpful, friendly, and on top of everything at all times. Emmy was AMAZING! She has the best personality and she shines at guest service and it comes so natural to her. She made our stay so much better. Thank you Emmy! We will definitely be back soon. 🫶🏼
- pm4018 (10/5): I would stay again - My family just spent a few nights here. The hotel was excellent. Up to date, clean and very quiet. It is within walking distance to several restaurants. The island is best suited to walking and biking. Like most of coastal Florida there is a lot of traffic. The hotel is located on the main road which has a constant flow of traffic. If interested in fishing I would highly recommend Anna Maria Boat Company. They will pick you up at the marina on site.

The beds are very comfortable and we also had a HUGE balcony overlooking the pool and marina. When you walk in it was decorated beautifully for Xmas and Emmy at the desk was so helpful during our stay. Good staff means a lot to a traveler. This location is perfect as there is a place to eat lunch and dinner right in the hotel. If you stay here, have breakfast at Victoria's It is super good. Also, during dinner, Vistoria's is Sophia's; let me tell you, it is 5-star food. we would not hesitate to stay at Waterline again.

The staff was awesome. Very accommodating. The villas were very clean and comfortable. Great vibe overall. Walking distance to beaches, shops and restaurants. The slice of chocolate cake for the birthday boy was a well received and devoured as it was so delicious. The hotel is near the trolley bus stand so it was great to park up, leave the car behind and tour the island on the trolley. Being able to walk to The Doctors Surgery was perfect , and it was a great place to grab a wine and the charcuterie board. The recommendation for Blueberries for a morning latte was spot on.

- kellyn241 (2/5): Not a resort experience - Cash paying guests receiving a timeshare experience. We arrived to a very clean room. The cleanliness is exceptional. The room was warm upon arrival in June. It’s very hot outside. The a/c in the guest bed ( 2queen) is barely working. The rest of the villa is fairly comfortable but not near cold at all. “Someone is working on it”. We stayed here last June and had the same experience. The a/c is inadequate for summer. We will not be staying here again.

Easy, quick check in with a friendly, efficient front desk gentlemen. Beautiful suite with lovely view and full kitchen. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Large pool with plenty of lounge chairs and towels. A full service restaurant with beautifully prepared and delicious food. Excellent service. You must try the raviolis stuffed with mushrooms. The cream sauce was heavenly. Several beachy shops within walking distance. Beach a quick bike ride away and yes, the hotel has bikes. If you are looking for luxury on Anna Maria Island this is the place.

- W5139QCjessicas (8/5): Spacious villas - Waterline Villas is a great choice for families. The 2 bedroom villa is extra spacious and well appointed. The primary bedroom has a large, luxury bathroom with tiled shower and separate water closet. Washer and dryer is en suite and convenient for families visiting the beach. The kitchen was well stocked, but lacks storage for pantry items. The property was very clean. All of the staff was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. Emmie called me when beach gear came available and offered several items for us to borrow for the beach. The reason why we rated the property 4 stars instead of 5 is for the price point ($1100/ night) it didn’t quite feel like a resort. It was our first time visiting Anna Maria and we arrived at the property from the south, which meant we drove through an old Florida strip mall to pull into the entrance. We were a bit underwhelmed upon arrival. After we checked in (a bit early, which was nice), we visited the pool. The pool is small and lacks the feel of of a resort pool. There are few umbrellas and little greenery. There is an underutilized recreational space with a few pieces of outdoor furniture, an older looking ping pong table and a pack and play filled with toys left behind by previous guests. The hotel is situated on the harbor and the view from our room was 1/2 harbor and 1/2 street that is under construction. It didn’t completely provide the relaxation of a water view. While Marriott can’t change that the hotel is close to a main road and size of the common areas, the property and guests would benefit by investment made improve the entrance experience and recreational spaces to make it feel more tropical and relaxing. Overall, we recommend the hotel for the beautiful villas and hospitable service.

We were in an apartment for 6 and there were only four chairs at the dining table and only two chairs on the balcony. We didn't ask, however, as it didn't really bother us. I'm sure the hotel would have got us more furniture if we'd asked.

We also enjoyed an evening swim in the beautiful heated pool with a poolside cocktail! We will definitely return if in the area again!

- Glory (4/5): Not impressed - wish I was... - NO ROOM SERVICE even though hotels.com says there are limited hours of room service. NOT ADVERTISED CORRECTLY. No room service. NONE. Also, this place is poorly managed. Not the fault of the staff who seem to be doing the best they can with a difficult situation. Example: If you press "0" on your phone for front desk - it will ring and ring. There is no answering machine alerting you to the hours. Then if you go downstairs - you wait 10-20 minutes for the front desk to "get off the phone with a guest" and respond to you. Also - rooms starting with "3" are on the 2nd floor not the 3rd floor - who came up with that? Our front door was not "charged" so our key cards to our rooms didn't work. Eventually they replaced it. Also if you're in the back of the property you have to climb up and down three flights of stairs - no elevators. I could go on and on but - basically a nice property, nice staff, poorly managed. Not worth the price. On the plus side - the onsite restaurant is good but - you DO need a reservation. No lattes onsite - I bring this up as a coffee addict. Limited food/drink options but all of it was tasty.

It was, however, my first time staying at the Waterline. I must say, it was really top shelf! We stayed in one of the suites and the amenities were superb! While we were only there for one night we, unfortunately, did not get the chance to eat in the restaurant. We did however, order room service which was delicious. All in all, I would rate this hotel as first class and will most definitely be booking it again in the future!

Travelling from the UK We stayed for 3 nights in the two bedroom suite with kitchen and living room. It was luxurious and everything in the rooms were top end quality and brand new. This made our trip extremely enjoyable. Pool area was quiet and again great facilities. Front desk staff were beyond outstanding and simply couldn't do enough to help. They were welcoming and informative. Without a doubt we will be visiting again and will also recommend this hotel to friends and family. Best hotel in Anna Maria area. Perfect location to visit the island too.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - 3 o’clock check in but room not ready until almost 5. Staff did their best but not very helpful. If it were a best western for 75$ I wouldn’t care.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved it - We spent the day in Busch gardens and Tampa, but wanted to explore Holmes beach. This hotel was beautiful and so clean! Very expensive though

- Lisa (10/5): Nice spacious hotel - We really enjoyed this hotel, it was very spacious, King sized beds, TV's in every room, full kitchen, our room even had a washer and dryer in it! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I didn't like was the pillows, they were too mushy for me, and the free continental breakfast was not much, only some cereal, yogurt and fruit, but better then nothing :)
- Whitney (8/5): Beautiful resort (&a few things you should know!) - My husband and I had a great time and would absolutely go back. However, there are a few things I wish we'd known before arriving: 1. It's in an odd part of the island. We'd only been to Anna Maria once and thought we'd be closer to the fun colorful houses. However, this feels like where the locals live as it was across from a hardware store and the surroundings aren't the fun vacation vibe we expected.The resort will shuttle you daily to the beach, which is a 5-minute ride. Between the island trolley, the monkey bus, ubers and the hotel shuttle, it's easy to access the beach, restaurants and Bridge St. However, I would have liked to have known before arriving. 2. The Beach Club staff is AMAZING. All three people we interacted with were truly incredible. GREAT customer service and very helpful. We loved them! Some of the front desk staff, however, seem a little new to the hospitality industry. For example, they charged us $5 for a razor when I forgot mine, which is pretty unusual for a hotel at this price. Not a big deal at all, but little things like that still need to be figured out re: customer service. 3. Our room did not overlook the marina - it overlooked a gravel parking lot. The resort was not full, but the person at the front desk said we couldn't be upgraded because we'd gotten the Expedia rate. Again, not a huge deal, but since there seemed to be avail rooms overlooking the marina/pool, it's good to know that you'll likely not have it at the rate you get here.
- Stephanie (10/5): Beautiful hotel with friendly receptionists - We had a wonderful time in the 2 bedroom suite. It was so nice, clean, and comfortable. Our stay was too short, so we never got to try the pool or fitness center or shittle. We drove to bean point to explore and spent most of our time at Manatee Beach. I hope we get back soon.
