SOOO convenient for walking around downtown, fantastic location!! We were there on a Monday evening, very quiet. Morning staff less outwardly friendly. No decaf coffee.

Ring (8/5): - This is a cute hotel with very friendly staff. The shower was large with good hot water The futon was quite hard which, for me at least, made it uncomfortable for sitting and sleeping. A microwave would have been nice but to be fair availability of a microwave was not included in the description.
Tuija (9/5): Comfortable and unique stay in Eau Claire - I enjoyed the motel aspect. I needed quick access to my vehicle and appreciated parking right outside my room. The bed was comfortable, and although the room wasn't as quiet due to noise from adjoining rooms, I had a great sleep (with the help of my earplugs). Soundproofing the motel rooms from one another would improve the guest experience. It was surprisingly easy to hear the next room despite them talking at a reasonable/quiet volume.

Ken (9/5): Cozy hotel with a north woods ambience - Great laid back ambience, with a Wisconsin north woods feel. Rooms are compact, modern and nicely designed, with good attention to details (storage space, lighting, towel racks, etc.). There was some outside noise during the night / early morning (people talking, garbage trucks, etc.), so bringing ear plugs may be a good idea, just in case. Otherwise, no complaints.
Linda (9/5): Surprisingly more than expected. Loved it. - I prefer upscale 4+star accommodations while traveling by car, long distance. Gives me something to look forward to. There were not any while enroute. My daughter found this establishment online and showed me pictures and write up- I said “OK”- I must say- I was overly pleased. If faced with a chain 3star hotel or the option of this spot- WOW- it is chic, cozy, comfortable, clean, friendly, and oozes with a neighborhood fun vibe. We had a wonderful time! Also- the Lakely restaurant that is attached- was unfortunately closed on the Monday we were there- we went to a sister establishment for dinner at the Informalist- it was excellent as well.

Kim (9/5): Great price for a very nice property. - It is conveniently located in downtown Eau Claire. The rooms are cute and comfortable. It’s a great value. The night manager couldn’t find my reservation after I got in at 3am due to a major airline delay. This was a hit frustrating and luckily I had emails but that is not really proof so I’m glad he ended up giving me my room but it took a bit the get it straightened out.

Janine (10/5): Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay in Eau Claire. It is super conveniently located in downtown & easy to acc - This is a really cool boutique style hotel. Excellent location in downtown. We walked everywhere when we came for Jazz Fest. It’s small & personable. Love the awesome Lakely restaurant and bar onsite. We had some excellent food & cocktails and great live music. Parking was ample and private. We enjoyed our room, plenty of space and a very comfy bed & pillows. Loved the turntable in the room & fun to go and check out vinyl from their record library. We only wish the volume on the record player was at least a little bit louder….you can barely hear it. There’s gotta be a better “sweet spot” for volume where we can have it turned up to at least television level volume & still not be disturbing any guests in rooms nearby. Our suite actually didn’t share a wall with any other room, and it was very quiet. The place has tasteful decor everywhere & our room was very clean & the staff were all wonderful. The bathroom lighting was lacking. Just one bulb above the mirror, so a tad dark for getting ready. There is a ceiling light inside the shower stall. Also, we had a suite with a separate living room area. There was a futon type of thing in there, it looked like it could be pulled out for more sleeping space. But this thing was seriously hard as a rock. Very uncomfortable to sit on even to watch TV. I cannot imagine trying to actually sleep on it. Also, there was a TV in this room and not one in the bedroom. It’s nice to be able to relax in bed & watch some TV before dozing off, or in the morning. So that was a bummer. It was also unpleasant trying to sit on that futon contraption & to try & watch TV.

Dale (7/5): Perfect for a stay in downtown EC~ close to everything & lots of outdoor activities available. - Unique, restaurant & bar on site, location No coffee/ breakfast available on property!!!! Staff weren’t able to help with questions or requests. Double bed in a queen room ???? It was an ADA room so that may be why. Headboard was oversized & bed wasn’t centered ~ just odd! Records to use a nice touch as well as games etc though we didn’t use any.

The Lakely bar is also fantastic, we greatly enjoyed our cocktails and the service from Addison was great. Our room (#16) had a slightly unpleasant smell (sort of mildly sour/damp?) when we checked in. Everything looked perfectly clean so I couldn't determine what was causing it, except the chair had a largeish stain on it, so maybe that was it? It faded eventually, and wasn't a huge deal. Everything else was great and we will stay again if we come back to Eau Claire!

Sarah (7/5): Fine, could’ve easily been better. - Destination was the Lakely, so location was convenient. Parking worked out well in the lot across the street. The hotel room was SPOTLESS!!! My reservation was for a suite for 2 people, and I told the person at the desk that my friend was coming. She gave 2 keys and 2 parking passes, but never asked about bedding. After the concert we went upstairs to go to sleep, only to find no bedding for the futon. It was really late, so my friend ran out to her car and grabbed a sleeping bag she happened to have. I shared my pillows from the bed. The breakfast really wasn’t anything. The coffee was so strong I couldn’t drink it even after adding water. You better like maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal because that’s the only flavor. Or you could grab a granola bar. I had to wonder what was supposed to be in the empty baskets. Why even bother? We all know how easy it is to run to a Sam’s or Costco and get some other oatmeal flavors if that’s the mainstay of the guest breakfast. Weird and disappointing.

Thomas (10/5): Anniversary in Eau Claire - The way Amber and Sarah went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had a room to stay in for the weekend. The Lakely was a beautiful restaurant with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Will be back and definitely spread the word. Booking.com had no communication with the Oxbow and they didn't know we were supposed to stay the weekend.

Room was noisy as you could here everything outside through the heater/ac unit. Could have used a chair to sit in besides a block or the desk chair. Definitely would not stay in the Flats again.

Jackie (9/5): Really loved the relaxed vibe and location. - Lived the vibe of the hotel. Staff was helpful. Room was very spacious (king deluxe suite). Maybe a little more “vibe” in the room, like in the lobby. Room was a little stark. Coffee table worn. No towel bar at the sink area.

Roger (8/5): - Good location and walkable to various places. This is not a resort, so ditch the “resort fee”. Just be truthful and increase the base rate, if you need to charge more.
Vanda (8/5): A nice option in downtown Eau Claire - Good location. Originality in decor/options. Big shower . Patio with fire pit.
