• chrissie (9/5): Great - It was well equipped and located. We loved the onsen and the owner was really kind and friendly. The kitchen in the apartment was amazing, and the beds were very comfortable The garden looked a bit run down and could do with cleaning up.

The Staff were also really great and incredibly helpful, it was really easy getting to and from the train station as they picked us up. It was very isolated from any shops around breakfast and dinner time so be prepared or go to the nearby supermarket or convenience store for food.

It was clear the hosts take a lot of pride in their property, and were happy to show it off with tour while we settled. Very strongly recommend. Wish we could stay longer!

• Magdalena (10/5): - This is an incredibly interesting, privately owned property. The owner is very helpful. The room has a private hot tub and a very comfortable bed. I highly recommend the Izu Peninsula and this property.

Comfortable temperature at kashikiri onsen. Hosts are very nice, can drive you to the staton or if you need to buy anything as the area is quite remote

• David (7/5): Great location and fantastic onsen - We had a car and the location was great for visiting local attractions and shops. The private onsen was fantastic when we were able to use it. Communication with the host was difficult as we did not have a local phone and had to rely on messages through booking.com to arrange access to the onsen. As a result were unable to use the onsen one night. Our room was a bit stuffy and we needed to air it out each day.

• Melinda (10/5): The best stay ever - A truly exceptional, fantastic accommodation. The room, the garden, the private onsen - all is handled with great care and love. Our host lady pours all her heart into this closed, enchanted piece of land, her care and warm welcome is the highest level of hospitality.

• Pierre (9/5): Expérience authentique dans un superbe lieu ! - Magnifique hébergement authentique, les extérieurs sont très beaux. Il est rare de pouvoir loger dans des endroits avec autant de charme. Un couple de personnes âgées est aux commandes de cet établissement, ils font tout eux-mêmes et ils sont adorables. Ils parlent très peu anglais mais se débrouillent avec leur traducteur. Nous avons eu une chambre avec coin cuisine et salon. C’était très spacieux et très propre, il y avait tout le nécessaire. Nous avons eu accès à un Onsen privé que nous avions réservé à notre arrivée. Parking gratuit sur place. Endroit très calme. Dommage qu’il n’y ai pas de petit déjeuner. En tout cas, il ne nous a pas été proposé. Autour de l’hôtel il y a très peu de commerces et restaurants mais cela n’a rien à voir avec l’établissement en lui-même. Les chambres sont vieillottes mais confortables. Il y a un espace avec un jacuzzi mais il ne nous a pas été proposé. Il semblait payant d’après ce que nous avons lu, mais le prix de la nuitée étant déjà élevé, une gratuité avec un temps limité pourrait être bien.

• Keiichiro (9/5): よかった！ - 近くでダイビングした。駅から少し遠いけど、お店まで送り迎えしてくれて、とても嬉しかった。部屋に温泉ついててよかった。朝ごはんは1人1000円でとても美味しかったし、支払いはPayPayも使えた。 入湯税の支払いが1人150円で、支払いが現金のみだった。近くにコンビニがない。
• Anna (10/5): Fairy tale place - The hosts took care of us and met us at the station and also gave us a lift on the way back. They do not speak English but communicate via google translator so this is not an issue. The property looks very unusual, feels like in a fairy tale) there is a private onsen available which we did not use as it was too hot (we were in summer). There is also the possibility to take onsen in the room so we utilised it as a foot onsen which was really appreciated after hikes along the Yogasaki coast. The train station is within 20 mins walk and one can use it to explore the Izu peninsula coast. We had a sea view from our room. There are no stores nearby but the hosts offer their help and can take you for shopping on request

The outside bath might be not enough clean for Japanese customers, there were some ants on the wall or small insects because of the plants and the closed space, but nothing out of the usual

The hostess was super nice and went out of her way to communicate with us using Google translate. The hostess took us to the convenience store to grab our dinner. They also picked us up at the train station and took us back to the station when it was time to leave.

I paid for breakfast as well & the food was well-cooked & tasted amazing. Within walking distance to the lighthouse, so highly recommended for tourists who want to visit that area.

• Wee (9/5): Artistic and unique experience in Izu! - Very artistic and quaint property. Each unit comes with a bedroom and a small living room/kitchen area. Bathtub is connected to their source of spring water if you prefer to use the bathroom in your room instead of the public bath. The public bath is very unique, with many plants - cleaner than expected as well (given the many plants). Owner was very kind and patient with us and offered to pick us up from the station. It’s not particularly near a lot of amenities - wasn’t a problem for us as we were driving, but can imagine it might be if you are planning on taking public transport.

Be aware that the hostess only speaks Japanese, but she solves this really well with Google translate. The bed was too hard for our liking. Other than that, everything was perfect!

It would be good if the owner can offer bicycle rental services at a reasonable price. The transportation is a big problem in the countryside without a car. With a bike, it’s more convenient to get around.

• Wei (10/5): Exceptional experience - It's an absolutely wonderful place. I cannot believe there is such a dreaming place ever exist. The garden is beautiful. The hot spring is amazing. The whole set of room is comfy, it has bedroom, living room with kitchen and bathroom. The shower room has tub as well. Owner pick up and drop off the day arrive and departure which is wonderful and helpful. The breakfast is delicious especially sitting in the flower sun room with soothing background music. This stay is a wonderful experience with marvelous Ito exploring. Nothing, everything is beyond me.

• Hao (10/5): You get ocean view from the top level. You can walk to the trail near by next to the ocean - We were treated with great hospitalities by the owners. They accommodated our last minute changes around when we’d like to be picked up and dropped off from the train stations. They were also very helpful in making sure we had things we need and offered suggestions on meals. The onsen was very nice too. The comforter cover texture feels a bit rough. It feels like it’s been used for too long. Probably needing to be changed soon
• Ruben (9/5): Superb - Staff was very friendly and drove us to local attractions. The room features a private little onsen that is very special with a partner. Compared to anything in Tokyo you get a lot for your money in terms of accommodation.

• Saturn (9/5): Nice cozy stay. - - Location is very close to the coast and suspension bridge. About a 15~20 minute walk. - You get your own private little cabin-apartment type of lodging. I booked two rooms. Each had it's own entrance from the outside, and had a bedroom with two beds, living room with TV, kettle, etc., and shower room. Beds were very comfy and we slept well. - Owners are lovely people. I had made a mistake in my booking but they were polite and amended it for me. They also picked us up from the nearest train station and drove us to a pasta restaurant for dinner :) - They have their own onsen water source. The architecture and design of the place is really intriguing, like it's own museum. Lots of flower/plants. - Probably due to the abundance of plants, there are a lot of bugs so just be aware of that. There were a few large spiders and and a cockroach spotted in the onsen room, but can't really be helped since it's outdoors.
• Sg (10/5): Ideal place to visit Jogasaki coast - A very unique place, like a small park, a garden, a playground. The unit has a small living/dining room and a bedroom. The bathroom has a bathtub which you can fill with hotspring water. There is an indoor onsen which is like a garden within a garden; small,cute and beautiful. A couple runs the place. They are very friendly and helpful. Jogasaki coast is within walking distance from J-Garden.

• Sharmaine (10/5): A cosy and well-kept house for holidays at the coastal town. - A very cosy and well-kept place for holidays in Jogasaki Kaigan. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the lighthouse. May require coordination on your timing if you arrive by train but do-able

Owners were super friendly and helpful despite some language barrier. It’s a bit far from the train station/convenience store but owners are super helpful and drove us to and from the station + convenience store!
• Henriette (10/5): An absolute gem... - We had a very cozy and relaxed stay at J-Garden, though we had to change our room once because the first room was too enclosed. The hosts where kind and understanding, and this place is absolutely a gem. It's in walking distance to the coastline hike and by car (or public transport) you got a lot of opportunities too see the beauty of this Peninsula.
