It really makes your stay that much be - The property was well maintained, clean, and in a great location. Secluded a bit which is nice but close and easy enough to get to downtown. There are multiple pools which I thought were great with really cozy day beds. The ONLY complaint and I even feel bad saying this was that I stayed in building 2 on the first floor and there’s really no privacy since you’re literally next to the outdoor seating area of their restaurant. If you open your curtains everyone can see you and look within the bedroom so I had to keep my curtains closed at all times. They do have a sheer curtain as well however I could still see people and since it’s the bedroom I didn’t feel like I had much privacy. The other thing was since being right next to the restaurant I woke up every morning from their music at about 8am. Not terribly early however some nights I was unable to fall asleep and went to bed late and then I wasn’t able to sleep a little later.

We had to ask the mail bartender for it. Our food came like warm as if it had been sitting. For a resort like this your coffe was terrible. Our second day we ran to McDonald’s for coffee and breakfast. We had been here twice before and had no idea we would be placed in building 4. This must be the building for 3rd party bookings instead of the pool view rooms. Pretty bad for a $1000 2 night stay.

- Patrick (8/5): Overall quite pleasant. - When we arrived, we thought wow this could be the best hotel we have stayed in on this trip, great room with balcony overlooking the sea. Nice food, 6 swimming pools and various other activities. Why it was not the best, the breakfast matradee was quite rude seemed not to know what to do (confused) it took a long time to get seated even if the restaurant was mostly empty and no queues and our orders were often wrong. Then there were the planes from the civilian airport and the military airport but the noise which was constant became quite annoying. They did have live music most evenings and too be fair some were quite bad one in particular mumbled rather than sang. So it’s not the best we have stayed in, a shame because it easily could have been.

Chambre très spacieuse, joliment décorée, lit confortable, conforme aux photos. Piscine chauffées et suffisantes (6 bassins plus ou moins grands) Le service navette pour le centre de Key West est très utile et évite de trouver un parking au centre ville, l’hôtel se situant dans une zone (avec vue en 2eme plan sur des usines) à l’entrée de Key West, la voiture est obligatoire sinon. Deux choses ont rendu mon séjour amer et me laisse une vraie déception : - une mauvaise odeur en arrivant dans le vestibule et dans le salon, sans doute du tabac froid laissé par d’autres hôtes avant nous. Très désagréable quand on est non fumeur et pour mes enfants ayant dormi dans le canapé lit du salon (lit que j’ai dû faire, dommage dans un 4 étoiles) - et surtout je ne comprends pas que si les chambres sont rangées et nettoyées chaque jour, on n’ait pas retrouvé 3 cadeaux de mes enfants laissés par inadvertance dans la chambre. Comment peut-on faire confiance à un établissement si on ne retrouve pas des affaires oubliées ?! Bien dommage que la seule réponse fut : rien de signalé par le service objet perdu et sans proposition de dédommagement. Le coût était dérisoire et le geste eut été apprécié. Pour info complémentaires : pas de fontaine à eau à proximité des piscines ou dans les étages, pas de machine à glace et pas de laundry (seulement un service de nettoyage)

The location is pretty isolated (in a good way — it felt very peaceful), but they have a shuttle that can get you downtown for free, as well as free bike rentals and (I think) paid golf cart rentals! The concierges were amazing and helped us book super fun activities on the island. Overall a very enjoyable time, we feel nostalgic about it already! We got kicked out of the pool at 9:45 even though it supposedly closes at 10:00

Felt like we were being scolded like children a few times. We have a very respectful adult group and staff/ security was a bit much. I would totally understand if we were loud or disrespectful. But the scolding didn’t fit the scene. mixed drinks were not good. We travel a lot and I’ve had better experiences at mediocre hotels and restaurants. One server to six pools and service ended at 4pm. For the price and the other options available in Key West, I would stay elsewhere.

- john (8/5): Meh! Above average but overpriced. - Shuttle service downtown was very convenient. The room and bath were nice and comfortable except the room temperature at night. Front desk staff were very nice. We had a quiet room as requested. Glasses in bathroom were dirty. One of them had lipstick on it. Room thermostat was restricted so you could not turn it down enough to keep the room cool at night. Restuarant food left much to be desired. Very pricey and low quality. Got questionable grouper that tasted more like cheap food service frozen fish of some variety. Had a beef shank that was half fat and not braised enough to be tender. It was tough. It was $43.

- Siobhan (4/5): Return visit was an absolute disappointment - We’ve just checked out after our second stay here, from the UK. Obviously we loved it so much the first time, we came back. We got engaged here last year and came back for our honeymoon this year. This time was a completely different experience. At check in we were told we were being upgraded (which I would never expect). However, we were given the room we’d paid for. No worries. Then we asked for extra linen for the sofa bed for my son. Only to be told we couldn’t get a duvet. They didn’t have any, although there were duvets on the beds? Later on, the hairdryer blew the lights in the room. The hairdryer was also so hot, especially on the plug. It took an age for someone to come and fix it, even though we told reception we had dinner reservations. We had to call twice. We just felt like we were being a bother and to be quite honest, the reception team were quite rude. I didn’t get their names, there was a man and a woman. Then housekeeping didn’t arrive the next day and we had to call down for someone to come so we could at least get towels. We will definitely be returning to Key West, but I will absolutely never stay at Oceans Edge again. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.

Very disappointed that they did not mention that they were busy with renovations when we booked. They should put a notice on the website or give people a discounted rate for inconvenience.

- Yury (6/5): - It was big room, comfortable and clean. The reception staff were inexperienced, and it took them 40 minutes to check us in. I was passed from one employee to another. I was tired and not feeling well. I also recommend booking through Booking.com because it will be cheaper there. At 10:40 a woman came to my room and asked when I would be checking out. Why did she come if I could stay in the room until 11:00? Overall, if you disregard these issues, the hotel isn't bad, but I had the feeling they wanted me to leave as soon as possible.
