The room could have been updated. Kitchen faucet was about to come off. There could have been a normal size fridge in that big kitchen. The big carpet cut out in the middle of the room was tacky. The toilet was loose and felt unsecure when you sat down. The room was nice and roomy. The bed was uncomfortable. And that tub was ridiculous to get in and out of to take a shower. Jets in the tub were inoperable.

The condition of the rooms are sort of run down. I wasn't too comfortable in the bed. The pillows are really Not too comforting. The blinds were tattered. There was water leaking on the kitchen floor either from the sink or the refrigerator not sure. And for the money, I felt I could have paid $25 more stayed at a resort type place.catslina canyon to ne exact it Maybe a little further out.But that had a shuttle, just a better experience.I would not book here again until this place.Gets a rehab.It was pretty quiet for the most part.But for the price, it's pretty bare for comforts.

• Lacey (4/5): A place to sleep. - Where do I begin. The whole hotel is very old and in need of upgrades. The room was dark and dingy, the coverlet on the bed was gross, it should be replaced with something clean and white. The window blinds were broken and didn't close so we used our hands to close them, the lamp shade next to the bed was clearly broken and hanging on the light bulb and with one touch of the light, it fell off, I couldn't even figure out to how to turn that light on. There supposedly was a light outside on the shared balcony, but that didn't seem to work either. There was no blow dryer in the room! This is very basic for a hotel to have. Overall felt like gross.

I didn’t like the fact that other guest got to check in early and we had to wait. Also the room was super small and very few amenities. It had no fridge, limited outlets to charge phone. Also it had no hair dryer nor iron. Most of all I asked for a late check, via text msg, and they did not approve it. I was called and notified we need to vacate the room. We felt kicked out and rushed to accommodate someone who wanted to check in early when we weren’t given the opportunity to. Aside from that it was really close to the strip and pier.

We really enjoyed our two bedroom suite and the views were spectacular. We have never been to this hotel before, but we will definitely be back!

Around the port they use electric golf carts for short distance transportation! The hill up to the hotel is a killer! But the accommodation was clean, had coffee etc in the room and light Continental breakfast in the reception! I didn’t like the clothes rack over the kettle I thought something might fall into the coffee making equipment! If you have short legs getting into the shower might cause a problem as there is a high wall!

So many loud mechanical whirring sounds all the time. In the middle of the night it sounded like the upstairs unit was dragging furniture around?! Price difference from a good hotel was just not worth it.

• Maya (10/5): I booked a one-night stay here for my mom’s birthday and it was amazing! The view was beautiful, the room was super clea - I absolutely loved this property! We stayed here recently for my mom’s birthday, and the experience was unforgettable. When we arrived, we were chosen for their spin-the-wheel special and ended up winning an early 11 a.m. check-in with their best ocean-view suite. It was such a wonderful surprise! The room was spotless, very comfortable, and so relaxing. The staff was amazing always welcoming and friendly, greeting us with smiles every time. My mom had the best birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that asks me for good hotels in Catalina. The only thing I would mention is the walk up it was pretty steep and definitely felt like a workout. I know that’s not something the property can change, and honestly, it just added to the “fun times” of the trip. Definitely not a dealbreaker, and I’d still book again without hesitation for my next stay!

• Harold (4/5): - No breakfast I rarely complain about motel rooms. But this one Room 106 was small, dimly lit, next to the dumpsters and had no heat source that's were able to make operable. Since we were only there for 1 night and less than 24 hours, I did not ask for a different room. Friends of ours were on the 3rd and 4th floors and their rooms were really pretty nice and had views. Our room had no view except for the guys in the hot tub outside our room that my wife was enjoying. For $300 it was a very poor deal. Maybe the property owners will give us a free night on our next stay to make up for it.
• stitchadventures (2/5): Do they really care? No. Very poor management - My husband booked and paid for this hotel for two nights for my birthday. I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free. I felt sorry for the staff, who did their best to apologize for delays on checking in and the "not ready yet" room. Oh, you can check in early, if you pay a $fee (on top of the surprise check in ''resort fee" )But even then, your room won't be available because there isn't enough staff to clean the rooms. We finally got our room key at 4:30 pm. I was shocked to see the condition of our room with a view. Poor lighting, horrifying smell (we kept the broken sliding glass door open for hours to air it out). No way to open the blinds to enjoy the view (they were installed that way on purpose), missing bath tiles, rusty drains, cabinet falling apart. Even the shower handle was installed backwards. Took five minutes of cold water draining from the hot (H) side, until I went to shut it off, and it got warm on the (C)cold side! I think the worst was that several rooms on our floor had shattered windows and sliding doors. Poorly repaired with epoxy applied over the long cracks, and film applied. Obviously the building is probably shifting (it's on a hill) because so many rooms had the long cracked windows and doors. Also, the noise from the floor above us was relentless, and you could hear them peeing! Truly, the owner needs to repair, remodel, or destroy and start over. He shouldn't be able to take anyone's money for what is provided. Oh, and no staff on the premises at night, so you'll be on your own when those windows shatter. Best to pay a little more for a 4 or 5 star hotel.
• Daniel (3/5): Not comfortable at all. - Walking distance to town Arrived office was closed and had to search for staff to check in. Beds are uncomfortable. Place is run down needs a remodel. Inside room looks dirty.
• Steven (4/5): Disappointing for the money but they were attentive and helped improve our visit - I was able to request a better room from the daytime front desk manager and she was wonderful and accommodating, ensuring that we had a good stay for the remainder of our nights. Location of hotel was very good and convenient to the downtown area. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Room was Deluxe Suite with View. Condition of the room was actually quite poor when we arrived with lack of sticks to close the window shades, no cover for dining area lightbulb, no lamp, uncomfortable dining chairs (no cushions) and no cushions on outdoor patio chairs. Rooms were a little odd, with 'stairs to nowhere' as this seems to have been converted from two story condos. This was not as represented in the Booking ad. Overall the hotel is dated and needs repairs in many areas.

Would like a refund. Would definitely not recommend this place. Baseboard away from wall nails showing. My son had to find somewhere else to go because it was not safe for his daughter to crawl on the floor. Liked nothing about this property !

• Charlotte (5/5): Uncomfortable but great location - The location is super close to the ferry, restaurants, and stores. The most we ever walked was 12 minutes. There is a water bottle filling station in the lobby. There is an elevator. A crib, iron, or hair dryer is available upon request. This is at the top of a BIG hill. The AC/Heat was so loud when it turned on, it woke everyone up. The bed was also loud and uncomfortable. The room in general was old and seemed to be kind of falling apart.

Looks and feels like a little piece of Europe. - The room was really nice and we were chosen for a free upgraded room. Had a complete kitchen, with a stove, pots pans, plates, cups mugs, glasses and utensils. Had an extra rollaway bed, besides the queen bed that we didn't need but made good use of it anyway! 😂 The view of the island was great and the patio above it all was awesome. There was also a downstairs that lead to nowhere, but we made good use of the staircase also🤤. I highly recommend this spot. Oh, did I mention the hot tub?!👍

• charzg2020 (10/5): Suite is ridiculously nice. - The hotel staff is very accommodating and was happy to know when I checked in after a 3:00 concert at the casino, that I was upgraded to a suite as the guest of the day. I will add that the walk up the hill from the casino was quite a task at 11:00 pm after the last concert at the casino ballroom for Jazztrax this year. Peabo Bryson was worth the walk.

When I arrived I was informed they are full and IF they had the people would text us if the room was ready as we had requested. So to start, their poor planning was my problem not theirs. When I actually got to my room 3 hours past my booking time I found the room furnishings rate a 3 on a 10 point scale. If I could have, I would have and found other accommodations. But in the future I definitely will not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

The hotel itself is welcoming and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were able to do early check-in. • annsK5720GY (2/5): Do NOT stay here!!! - False advertising. Booked a suite with two queen beds and a deck, kitchenette and A/C. No queen beds, they were doubles! No deck, just two chairs in the public egress area. No AC in the bedroom. Holes in the floors, outlets coming off the walls, damaged appliances, damaged cabinets, dirty!! Literally got my fingers black from dirt. Huge spiderwebs. Staff were not helpful and screwed up things as simple as the door codes. They spoke to each other in Spanish thinking we couldn’t understand then lied to us… amazingly rude. Wouldn’t refund my stay even though we were there less than an hour.
• Alfred (3/5): If they refresh this place...I would come back. - We ate breakfast in our room. The location was convenient. I am a senior citizen...having an elevator or someone to help with the bags would have been helpful. The bed was unsleepable...it was very bad. The entire unit is outdated and needs a refresh of the carpets, stove, tile, etc. The online pictures are a "bait and switch"!
