Guest Reviews
- Contreras (10/5): -
- Michael (1/5): Will never return or recommend - Nothing was good about this, even the employee said that there were much better places that were cheaper. Rooms were dirty, There was food and bugs all around the room. In the room I finally landed in the shower would not drain and was full of hair, Everything was dirty.
- Jeremy (1/5): not a place id stay again - tweakers everywhere
- Pollard (10/5): - I arrived at midnight on Christmas and they were there and happy to help me, I made a reservation on booking.com but there was a problem. The lady made sure I had a room and could rest.
- groquick21 (8/5): Motel old style authentique - Un motel indépendant à l'ancienne avec une vraie salle de bain. Un côté authentique qui l'a plu
- villanueva (2/5): - The price wasn't bad Dirty. Beds were hard and felt unsafe area
- DAVID (10/5): - Clean and inexpensive
- Dean (2/5): - Supposed to be a non smoking room. Room was yellow with smoke. Wouldnt transfer rooms or refund me the rest of my stay. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
- jane (8/5): I enjoyed the 50s charm! - This is a 1950s motel, which gave it a lot of charm. We'll maintained. When I arrived, there were several families using the charcoal grills in the central garden with picnic tables. Parking right by your room. But most of the rooms have steps into them. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
- Bridgett (6/5): - Staff was friendly and willing to work with us. Air conditioning not great. Cleanliness not great, I recleaned the bathroom. I cleaned the air conditioning filter and washed the shower curtain and window curtains. Not a lot of undesirables around, which made the stay worth it.
- James (6/5): - Hot and cold water fluctuated in temperature.
Satellite box television did not work properly
- Bridgett (10/5): Hidden Gem - Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Personable, and professional the price was reasonable, it was quiet clean and comfortable.
- Casey (10/5): - Excellent service
- Idaly (8/5): - The staff was super nice, great motel for a cheap option
- McNally (9/5): -
- Sharon (8/5): - Everything was fine. Except the room had a plug in air
freshener in the room that I did not care for.
- Dianna (2/5): - Bed sheets blanket and spread were dirty.. Floors were filthy... hair in shower...counters dirty. Price and location was good
- Jason (2/5): Terrible motel, friendly employees. - Filthy rooms. Window type A/C units in both rooms were working but barely able to cool. Overall, don’t stay here if you have any other option.
The people working there were nice enough but there’s nothing anyone can do about the condition of this dump without a complete revamp.
- Michael (2/5): - Bed was hard as a rock, mattress with no box spring on a homemade frame of a sheet of plywood on 2x6 legs. Sure conditioner sounded like a freight train and blew barely cool air. Had to almost squat to get under the shower head.
- aaron (2/5): - I brought bed bugs back to my home from this room. Disgusting!!!!!!!!
- Kory (10/5): - .
- Robin (8/5): - An older motel that is comfortable if you are looking for just the basics. Bed was comfortable and room was overly clean. AC cooled the room adequately. Close but not within walking distance was numerous fast food places.
- David (4/5): I will not stay there again - did not use it trash under the bed
- Kelly (2/5): Better go elsewhere - Woke up with a bed bug on my leg. 2 days later my legs look like Swiss cheese.
- Tina (4/5): - The front desk was great. Very sweet.
- Margarita (4/5): -
- Danielle (4/5): - This room is straight out of the 1960's with a pink bathroom sink, a bed like cardboard and a hidden switch to get the ac working. The room was nothing like this picture
- Gary (2/5): - Tried to stay here for Frontier Days because everything was booked. This goes straight up beyond a terrible experience. This is 40 dollar room at best. Dirty bathroom( hair on shower walls) sticky floors, hot as balls in there because the air conditioner was a filthy piece of junk, junk electric receptacles. I understand there is an event in town but to ever charge someone 250 a night for this complete dump is unspeakable and should be against the law ! The staff was the only good part and were kind to us and refunded our second night so we could move along. You’ve been warned …
- Craig (6/5): - Close to CFDs Venue
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff. Comfy and roomy.
- Kimberly (10/5): - The property is western themed. It’s a beautiful property. It is a bit dated but not in a bad way. The bathroom was my only complaint. It was so small. The tub was a two seater tub spacious. But the toilet was cramped in the corner. The staff was great.
- Robert J (2/5): - This place was not what we expected at all. It's more like a shelter type area. We did not stay there.
- Sean (2/5): - The person working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The location does not feel safe, and despite the ‘ no loitering’ signs, there was in fact loitering. There was clothing, bowls, and partially consumed bottle outside of our room door implying that nook is where someone was sleeping. The window in the room was opened when we arrived and the room smelled of smoke and the floor was dirty.
The staff was very understanding when we declined to stay and we were issued a refund.
- Michele (6/5): - It's an old hotel from the 50's. It was cute and comfortable for the price. I did love the old wooden thick doors they were great.
Would i stay there again, yes but not for extended stay as cute as itnwas and the staff was amazing! They get 2 thumbs up
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dara (10/5): - Very friendly, very helpful, very reasonable. Clean rooms. Western/Retro style! Will stay again!
- Verna (10/5): - GREAT PROFESSIONAL, EASY ,NOT CONFUSING WHEN YOU DONT UNDERSTAND ELECTRONICS........MADE SIMPLE.
- Ricky (10/5): - Staff is friendly
- Ricky (10/5): - Amazing
- Rita (6/5): - There was a bed with clean sheets
Radiator heat and large crack under door had to roll towel and place in front of door to keep cold out
- Deavon (8/5): - Staff was extremely feiendly and very helpful!
- Ricky (10/5): - I liked the large variety of premium channels, the wifi worked well.
- Ryan (2/5): - The linens were dirty from the previous guess. They simply covered the dirty linens with a blanket. There was human hair, dirt, and stains that looked like semen. I had to bring my own linens I had in my car to sleep. They told me they were sorry, but the sheets were old. I told them there was a difference between old and dirty.
- Ashley (10/5): - Great stay for the price.
- Ashley (10/5): - The staff were so good to us we stayed a week and they room service checked on us everyday to see if we needed anything. For the price it was perfect for a week stay and we were definitely going to recommend this place to anyone in the area who may need a extended stay. Great service all around perfect place for price!!!
- Joey (10/5): Great service - Great service and great rooms for the price!!!! Will recommend!!!!
- Ashley (10/5): - It was very great service for the price.
- Christine (8/5): - Comfortable stay.
- Rach (5/5): Passable -
- miles (2/5): - Not a pleasant experience
- Shawn (8/5): - Great Front Desk service
- Grant (8/5): Very good -
- Jesse (6/5): - Ok
- Tyrone (4/5): - Older motel
- Sarah (6/5): - It was a cute place but felt bit unsafe there was a fight in the room next door and the cops had to come.
- Sam (8/5): - Clean room, front desk was heloful, area isnt the best. But for the price you pay. Its pretty good. Pmus, they have all the spectrum channels.
- Joshua (8/5): - Matt was cool
- Michaell (4/5): - The linen on the beds hadn't been changed.
- Star (10/5): - The kitchen
- Michelle (5/5): Unsure - The room itself is pretty and quite big. If you want to hit the road, the location is perfect since you're on the highway immediately. Still the room is quiet enough to sleep.
There's an ice machine, which is a plus, but I had come to get used to coffee stations even in motels and there is none in this one. Just a very noisy fridge. The bathroom was really dirty (other people's hair, verdigris and mold, toilet not flushed after someone had cleaned the floor and thrown the dirt in there, etc.). The AC also looked like it would spread lord knows what around the room. There was trash underneath my bed that also did not get vacuumed up after housekeeping had come through, so it wasn't just a one-off. They did make sure to throw my pijamas on the floor though when they did the bed and just left them lying there on their dirty floor. Honestly it's a shame since the room itself is pretty enough.
I generally prefer assigned parking spots that I can see from my room. My rom was on the outer side of the motel, so either I park my car on the roadside or I park it inside the horseshoe but can't see it.
I didn't love the neighborhood honestly. It's only a 15' walk until you're downtown but I did not feel entirely comfortable walking around out there. Also there are people apparently living in this motel long-term. This just seemed fishy to me.
- Sam (1/5): Bad -
- aaron (2/5): - Came in the evening, just to sleep there, but we left as soon as we woke up. We felt very unsafe, room was dirty, would never stayed there again. Terrible experience. Also staff wasn’t helpful at all
- Larry (10/5): - Matt, at the front desk took care of me from the start. Brought me to the room, showed me the perfect place to park, etc. Good guy!
- Clovis (2/5): - Lots of shady people wandering around the parking lot. One guy was watching us intently riding his bicycle looking in cars in the parking lot. We did not stay the night. We felt safer in the Walmart parking lot all night! Do not recommend! And area around the motel has lots of shady character’s wandering around as well.
- Robert (10/5): - The property is older but kept and clean.
- Daniel (2/5): - Would strongly advise not staying there not a good part of town very dirty not clean. The guy who runs it. Took forever to get to the front desk probably about 30 minutes ringing the bell I get it’s a motel, but it could’ve been a lot better.
- Claire (1/5): Awful worst place we ever was at. - There was no breakfast not even a cup of coffee Everything, for the price charged I feel we were ripped off.
- -x (2/5): - Very old and dirty, lots of crumbs on bed and on floor, dirty walls and stained bed
- donald (10/5): - It was a very nice motel. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities you need. Cable was great. I would stay there again
- Jacquelynn (10/5): - Very clean and conveniently located.
- Paige Pozos (8/5): Perfectly acceptable for an inexpensive hotel, a l - The guy who welcomed us in was great, there was an issue with the water when we were there, they were there within two seconds to get it fixed. It’s a very inexpensive hotel but it’s clean and it’s safe that we were kind of had a weird smell to it, the carpet definitely need to be replaced. But overall, it is cute and it has a lot of potential. It has like a little grass barbecue area outside, which we really liked. And it’s very essentially located.
- Julie (2/5): - My door had been kicked in so the deadbolt was broken. Cheap wooden door that you could see light through. The screens were coming off the windows, couldn't safely lock them. Microwave was dirty, fridge was warm, stains on the sheets and the carpet was wet. It was a non smoking room that smelled like smoke. The clerk said it was “the best room???” Inflated rates to screw the tourists. But somebody was growing a nice garden in the courtyard…
- Cecile (2/5): Not a good stop - The first room they assigned us had ants in the bathroom and tHE AC didn’t work. They moved us. The curtains looked filthy but we stayed anyway because we were so tired. Left AS SOON AS WE WOKE UP!
- Julie (6/5): - The room was cute but the hot water only lasted about 8 minutes before it went cold
- Sally (6/5): - Liked the fact you could park car close to room for offloading bags. Shower was great and powerful. Unfortunately the room smelled of smoke, would ask for a non smoking room if this was possible.
- Tina (8/5): - This motel was quaint, very clean and had great employees. It is very dated in its room atmosphere, but we enjoyed our stay here.
- Edith Kay (2/5): - Power went out and there was a fire truck by the entrance but the office was locked so could not find out why the air conditioner berley worked
- Cayden (6/5): - Decent stay for a night or two but not great amenities and the room was not very clean
- Jacob (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jacob (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kevin (4/5): - Tried 3 rooms. First room, broken tv. Second room bed was slept and dirty towels on floor. Air was still moist from recent shower. Third room was sad but acceptable at that point of exhausted hopes time. Cheyenne almost booked solid because of Frontier Days. What do you expect for $72 bucks? More than what was received.
- Zoe (4/5): - When we requested more pillows and towels, they told us it was a "maybe" on pillows but that they could get us another towel. When no clean towels were available, we were led to a room that they said someone had just checked out of, looked around to see what they could guess hadn't been used, and gave us a maybe clean maybe dirty towel and pillow directly from the room. A bit appalled at the situation... we found another place to stay.
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Zandra (2/5): - Easy reservation and check in/out process.
- Jason (2/5): - Did not sleep any.neighbors was loud and slamming doors
- Duane (8/5): It was appropriate considering the price of $77 dollars a night - No Breakfast Internet wouldn't work. Unable to use my laptop.
- Delia (10/5): - We stayed 1 night at the Sands on a weekday. It was clean, felt safe, and the bed was comfy. The night clerk was friendly. We walked downtown from the hotel. The property is older but was kept clean and the parking areas were clean. I like that you can park right by your door. The only downside was our room did not have A/C, it was hot and there was no fan. We got back late so didn't take notice of the room temp and were tired so just went to bed. I would stay again just not in the Summertime without A/C.
- Henry (2/5): - Made reservations on line showed up at 11 pm door said closed, rang door bell for 5 min, called 3 times with no answer. Had to go down the road and stay
- Isidro (1/5): Bad -
- Sharon (9/5): . - Staff was very nice and helpful. She printed a map for me and helped me find something
- Susan (4/5): Disappointing - The funky pink and burgundy tile in the bathroom! The curtains where thin and the room was lit up all night. The motel needs to invest in block out curtains.
- Lan (6/5): - Bad smell
- martin (10/5): Perfect locaty - Amber was fabulous; knew the region well, set me up with a guide
- Mike (8/5): - Nice place, polite staff, comfortable accommodations.
- Jackson (4/5): - The staff was great. The room was very dirty, comforter had burn holes, the bathroom looked to be covered in rust, and the curtains had mystery stains that couldn’t be identified.
- Marila (2/5): - This is the DIRTIEST hotel I’ve ever stayed. Tge room smells so bad. The carpet is dirty. The bathroom is dirty and tub is also dirty. The whole rooms STINKS. I was nauseated and almost vomited when I entered the room. I couldn’t sleep because of the smell. The bedsheets and the pillows were also dirty. It
has hairs on it, luckily I brought some blankets and pillows that i used that night. This hotel ought to be shut down by public health
- Edith (2/5): - Older motel that is not well maintained. First room had no deadbolt or chain and leaky shower. Second room had slippery tub. Neither room had thermostat for temp control. Beds were uncomfortable. Price is great but I would never stay there again. Not recommended unless you are desperate.
- Arthur (10/5): Exceptional - Location and staff were great. Price was good too. Would stay here again! Water wasn't as hot as I wanted but, good enough to clean off.
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- William (1/5): Bad -
