Plenty hot water & good heating in room. Very comfortable bed. All British TV channels, WiFi & streaming available FOC. Network coverage a little weak due to location. Idyllic setting, though a little dated in decor style and in need of external overhaul. Good breakfast. Very accommodating host who facilitated me early breakfast request. Good value overall.

Thomas (8/5): Nice place, nice price - I found the Meetings to be nice, quaint, older but very satisfied with the room, host and bed and shower. A few things need attention (loose toilet seat), but it met my expectations and I had a good time here.
Susan (10/5): - This accommodating, family-run inn on the banks of the Avonmore and Avonbeg rivers -- the famed "meeting of the waters" is a comfortable and welcoming space in a recently refurbished inn from the late 1800s. Best for guests with access to a car, The Meetings is still very manageable without one, since the Local Link bus stops four times a day for travel to nearby Wicklow Town and other villages as well as the gorgeous Glendalough region with its famed walks and historic ruins. Evenings in the delightful pub chatting with other guests and with our hosts were a highlight of our stay. A wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Close-by Rathdrum offers excellent dining and the B&B a good breakfast and welcoming pub. A very pleasant stay overall!

Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is truly a hidden gem in Wicklow. The setting is nearly fairy-tale like at a sleepy confluence of two streams that provide an amazing background to this B&B. On the bottom floor is a pub that is populated by locals and guests, makes for a wonderful place to grab a pint and conversation. The couple who own it were so very kind and friendly throughout the stay. Breakfast was delicious. It was such a romantic location that I wish I could have spent most of my holiday here! I will definitely be visiting again on my return trip to Ireland!
John (10/5): Top notch - We came in towards the end of a very busy day, we could tell me staff was exhausted from the day but they still took the time to make our stay extremely pleasant. The owners were full of smiles and helped make our stay amazing. The food was great and they were very accommodating to our needs. The beds we're extremely comfortable and everything was quite clean. Now to speak of the location: pictures can't describe the beauty of the meetings. The website shows the rivers but to actually be there and experience them is another thing. We will book here again for sure.

Francis (10/5): Beautiful stopover in an amazing area - \nestled between Avoca and Rathdrum in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains this is a great place to stay for exploring the area. I was doing a couple of days walking and the breakfast provided coupled with the comfortable room was exactly what I needed. The proprietor was friendly and helpful with eating suggestions in the evening. The restaurant was closed other than weekends which is not a problem as there is lots of choice in nearby towns.

This was the most comfortable bed we had on our week long tour of Ireland. However... even though we closed the 2 fire doors on the corridor at least 3 times, they were wedged open by somebody when we returned. This needs to be addressed.

Elizabeth (10/5): An unpretentious jewel in the country - The lady who owns the Inn/restaurant/bar was very friendly. She made us feel very comfortable and made us feel at home away from home. The setting for the inn is scene. I would go back again.
Ray (10/5): Quiet but lovely. - The meetings is the ideal spot for a peaceful getaway with a great view. It about a 30 minute walk into Avoca town. There is not a lot to do if you don't drive, but otherwise it is a nice quiet base from which to explore Wicklow. The owner Derek was lovely and actually dropped us to Rathdrum for our train. The room was a very clean deluxe double with four poster bed and a view of the rivers.The breakfast was great in the little coffee shop downstairs and Ann who served us was very helpful and friendly. Great view of where the river's meet makes breakfast even better. If you want a quiet break away, this is perfect.

Suzanne (10/5): Wonderful authentic Irish hospitality - D and family & staff were wonderful! She let us checkin 5 hours early upon arrival after a tired plane ride. Food was fabulous! Restaurant onsite a plus. The restaurant is open on Sundays too. If you are looking to stay in a B&B where you will meet and mingle with the locals on your stay in Ireland than The Meetings is the place for you. There is a bar and restaurant onsite where all the locals come to mingle, eat, sing, & watch sporting events on TV. It gave us a real feel of Ireland on our first night stay. They had live Irish music onsite too playing outside on the patio area. We got to meet many Irish locals from town and even the local stray dogs who everyone loved to give lots of attention to and joined in on the fun. Rooms were very clean! coffee & tea always available. Beautiful views from the decks around the premises. Loved the historical park next to the B&B which tells of the history of Thomas Moore and his famous poem written on the River Avoca "The Meeting of the Waters". A very beautiful and tranquil spot for photos and peace of mind. The setting of this B&B is absolutely gorgeous on the River Avoca. If you are looking for a fancy place to stay than this B&B is not for you. But if you are looking for the real taste of Ireland where you will feel the love of the Irish people and their wonderful hospitality, and want to experience a peaceful night stay or weekend stay in a beautiful and tranquil setting than "The Meetings" is your kinda place.

Rooms were very clean & comfortable although a little cramped with the campbed squeezed in for my daughter. Excellent breakfast with decent selection. Only complaint was the very squeaky floorboards in the rooms. We were wakened at 6.30am by our neighbours walking about! Other than that great location & value for money

Dermot (10/5): Value for money - I really enjoyed my stay here, alright the place needs a little bit of renovating but it is full of character settled in the middle of such beautiful surroundings and the staff are all so helpful..we enjoyed all our meals ..breakfast was cooked fresh and plenty of it and we slept so soundly..all in all a wonderful experience ..if you like walks ask Derek or D for a map of the local walk well worth it.

Richard (8/5): Hidden Gem - I was just looking for a place to stay close enough to Dublin while I visited my partner in hospital. What a wonderful surprise, location is 10/10. I booked a single room but got a double bed in a small but adequately sized room for one person. Bed was very comfortable with a decent quilt and pillows - shower was great! Room was very clean, fee wifi worked as well as you would expect in this rural area and plenty of digital TC channels. I had a view onto the road but all guests have access to a lovely terrace with seating and wonderful view over the two rivers. The pub adjacent had a lovely cozy atmosphere, plenty of seating and very reasonable prices. The free continental breakfast was basic but adequate, toast, jams, cheese, yogurt, cereals etc. - an option of croissant or pastry would have been nice but really can't complain for the price I paid for the room and I was offered a cooked breakfast (at an additional cost). Overall lovely place, would definitely come back next time with my partner.

Louis (8/5): Peaceful Place - It was such a beautiful setting and the proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a perfect view of the meeting of the rivers and the hillside. Picture perfect! And then to have breakfast in the the dining room with the same view was so relaxing. We were able to travel around and see the different ruins and sights which were within an hour of the B&B.

Michael (10/5): Lovely staff great location - We stayed for one night ,a Tuesday night . I have stopped off here for a drink about two years ago while touring in Wicklow so I knew the area well enough. The bar and lounge are very dated but it suits the location in a way. After reading the reviews of the bed and breakfast I decided to take a chance and stay. The staff are so down to earth and welcoming. The room number 8 had a king sized bed and a huge flat screen TV. We had a drink in the bar which was very quiet . Breakfast was top class. I feel we got great service and value for money. Michael behind the bar was so helpful and charming . Only fault was with the wifi ,little to worry about . I'd say the up keep on the building is expensive taken all the trees and water . But it's in good condition. We will be back.
