- Gloria (10/5): A wonderful trip for my 60th birthday. - Good morning! It was my 60th birthday and I was meeting friends there. Roger from Food services went out his way to make my day special with the cake, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, champagne, and fruits and berries. That was amazing to me! I am forever, grateful and thankful that I celebrated my 60th birthday, there thank you !! to the whole entire staff.. thank you to Evans who checked me in and gave me a breakfast buffet coupon celebrate my birthday thank you to everyone. Nothing to do with you, but I went to the timeshare meeting at 12 noon on May15, because I was approached by a young lady that asked me to go first of all they charge my credit card $40 and told me I was going to get that back. I haven’t seen that back yet but I’m still checking. Also, they were extremely pushy and they told me it was going be 90 minutes and it was going on almost 2 hours and when I said something about it, I felt like they were irritated so I didn’t mind the presentation for the 90 minutes. I was going to do that, but I wasn’t there for a timeshare, but I committed to the 90 minutes, not two hours. ❤️. Again I had nothing to do with the hotel.. I am waiting for the hotel to finalize my bill on my statement, but other than that I had a wonderful time beautiful hotel excellent staff.. Gloria room 433
- Trina (10/5): - Cleanliness, location, pricing 1 lady worker at the inside where you get coffee and other things to eat and drink was very rude. The power went out for quite awhile and Wyndham did nothing to compensate for it. They should have offered free drinks, snacks , a meal something.

Ocean Hai was not our kind of restaurant and the grill at the pool was expensive. The 19% gratuity was excessive especially when the staff made it clear they were only receiving 12%. So with an additional 10% gratuity added on it totaled 29%!

The hotel is not designed for conventions. It has small bar with limited options for food. So when you get 240 rooms worth of convention people networking there is nothing left for private guests.

- tricia (8/5): Very nice accommodations and great location to pier 60 and town. - The location is great, the bed was comfortable and the hotel was clean. Staff were friendly. The king size room was spacious. Easy access to beach, chairs fill up quickly same with pool! It would be great if there were two pools. We are there during spring break and the pool chairs fill up when opens at 7:00am, so has to secure chairs early! As two adults we spent a lot of time at the pool with loads of kids splashing around. It’s a great family hotel, but hard to find time for adults only. With an additional pool that could have worked. Also the hot tub was constantly filled with kids, so that was something we couldn’t enjoy.

The pool area is a bit small for quite a large hotel. The breakfast was OK but I thought the staff were a bit slow if you wanted something. As a result we only had breakfast once.

- Stormie (2/5): Disappointing - I enjoyed the food at the property, how close it was to the beach, and how clean the rooms were. I gave it 2 stars for cleanliness and location. The rest of my expirence here was extremely disappointing. This is my first time writing a review about anywhere ever. When we arrived for our 5 night stay we explained we wanted to pay cash for our visit. The staff immediately shut that idea down and said cash can only be paid at time of check out. Ok no big deal! They said they need a card on file for $100 a night deposit that would be refunded upon check out. Completely understandable! We doubled checked that only the $500 would come out of the card and we could pay for our room in cash and they confirmed. A few hours later, they charged my boyfriend’s card the price of the stay and the $500, leaving him in the negative. When we went to the front desk to figure things out they were apologetic and told us it would take up to 5 days to refund. We were very upset that we had no money for our entire vacation. Luckily, they gave us a $300 credit towards restaurants at the hotel, which I think was well deserved. At that time they decided to let us pay cash for the room so there were no other errors. Fortunately, my boyfriend spoke to the bank and disputed it so after a day or so we had access to our money back. The beach was overly crowded , they offer 2 “free” beach chairs during your stay, but then someone comes around with an ipad and asks for a tip. Of course I tipped them, but i’m already paying $35 a day for that amenity. Housekeeping did a good job but I regret tipping them because they took away our soap and did not replace it. They also did not replace our toilet paper. We kept up the do not disturb sign because we didn’t want our toiletries to be taken away again and did not want to bother the desk after our initial issue with being overcharged. Our toliet in a room also did not flush barely at all, but again we avoided the front desk. The pool was gorgeous but so crowded it was impossible to get in. Same with the hot tub. If you’re looking to be able to swim or use a hot tub I would absolutely book another hotel.

- Maria (7/5): Perfect seaside trip for family - Location of the hotel was amazing. right on the beach and close to all of the restaurants/bars you would want to visit. We also loved hopping on the Jolly Trolley which we could get right outside the hotel, this brougth you to towns nearby. I thought for the price it would have been slightly more upmarket (especially as we went in off season and it was still much more than we hae paid for upper class places in other locations) For example, they didnt offer a luggage to room siutation which is such a small thing but something I would definitely expect for the price we paid. The property was slightly dated as well.

- David (9/5): Amazing hotel for a short stay in the middle of Clearwater Beach - We loved this hotel. The location is perfect to walk up and down Clearwater, we managed easily without a car as there are plenty shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room and installations are excellent, as described. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic room for four (double bed plus bunk) on the 16th floor with a north-facing balcony, worth the premium. The only small issue is that our room had a slight smell of humidity. Probably because the A/C shut of automatically when leaving the room. But not much of a bother, it would go away with the A/C on.

- vegabay (10/5): Local's Stay on New Year's Eve - This was my fourth stay at this hotel. I live in a town about 10 minutes away so we frequently stay here for a staycation. One thing about this hotel is that it is consistently good. They've got it figured out. Even on a busier time like New Year's Eve. We were able to check in about an hour early even though it was New Year's Eve. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean. Had a front facing balcony room and were hopeful that we would be able to see the fireworks on the beach on NYE. Definitely want to mention for future people looking to stay at this hotel for this reason that we did have a good view of the fireworks that people shot off on the beach. The main Clearwater Fireworks display is down at the Sand Key park by the Sheraton Sand Key, and can be seen at Shepherds or Opal Sands, but we could still see them from afar in our fourth floor beach facing room. Also, there were other people shooting off their own really nice fireworks right in front of Pier 60--right in front of the hotel. I love that they transformed part of the Lobby Bar into a "ski lodge". That area was really pretty, cozy, and made for great pictures. Good job Wyndham! We also attended the NYE party at the hotel. I guess it was supposed to be out by the pool, but was moved indoors to a ballroom to accommodate for colder weather. A good move by the hotel because it was much more comfortable. Enjoyed the band as well and the decorations. Would've been nice to have party favors on the tables though, if looking to improve next year. Enjoyed the hot tub the next morning. Perfect temperature and saw plenty of people in the heated pool too even though the outside temp was around 50 degrees. Would definitely recommend anyone considering this hotel to give it a try. Yes, there are others that I love in the area, but there is something that keeps us coming back there!

Traveling on my own was important. I was within walking distance to everything. Location is great for me because I travel here on work business often and felt safe and familiar and love Tampa Bay. The airport also is easy. The food was good. I love the white sand in the beach and the chairs came with it.

The food at the different hotel restaurants were very good. The hotel rooms were modern and well done. I am looking forward to staying at Wyndham hotels again in the future.
- saraandartm (4/5): Staying elsewhere next time! - I want to acknowledge the staff friendliness and service. Evan, who checked us in, couldn’t have been nicer. He gave us a great recommendation for Pizza as well. However, the hotel itself needs work. The restaurant had dirty window sills and not the best quality of food. We received breakfast vouchers but wasn’t told we need to make reservations as they get very busy. So the first morning we sat in the screened porched area and froze (very cold temps that week). The only good thing about the restaurant was the great wait staff. The rooms were worn out and the sheets were poor quality with fuzz on them. To top it all off we weren’t given a late checkout, despite the American Express benefits, despite the manager giving us the impression that we can ask for it on the day of checkout. Not happy at all!

Staff were personable and friendly, hotel was beautifully decorated for the holiday, clean and well-maintained. Room had great intercostal view and bed was comfortable. Nice pool and beautiful, if often crowded, beach. Evan at the front desk was particularly helpful and kind during my stay. There are several local places to eat, mostly casual dining. Limited shopping within walking distance.
