• Andy (10/5): - I couldn’t vouch for this place more, accidentally booked the wrong night and they were beyond accommodating. The facilities and the room were immaculate, I highly recommend to anyone considering.
• Jon (8/5): Better than expected, from other reviews - Hotel was dated but clean and comfortable. Price was great. Location was right off the freeway but quiet. Office hours didn't open until 7, so if you need an early start, remember office doesn't open to check out early.

• Cynthia (10/5): Loved it - Staff was amazing, very warm and welcoming, anticipated needs before we could ask, truly made you feel like they were happy you were there. Loved the setup and feel of the rooms, very clean and well taken care of. The location was perfect, within 10 mins of the shops, the Riverwalk, hiking trails, and lots of good food.

Sauna needs to be hotter. Need to have a water filer station to get water. We were dying of thirst from the dry climate and snowboarding all day.,. And all we had was ice and sink water.

• Greg (5/5): Ok place, if last minute for one night it's a good stay. - There was a vacancy at the last minute and the staff were very nice. The room was not clean. We are Airbnb hosts and understand how that can happen at times. Maybe this was not a typical situation. However, we found hair in the bathroom, in the shower, and toilet area. It was not a major issue for us, but worth noting. We also felt the rooms were paper-thin for noise.

The shower curtains need to be weighted as the current ones don’t work whatsoever with the pressure they have going on. The microwave was dirty as was the sink with razor clippings.

• Paula (10/5): Good accommodations and priced well - This is an old motel, but it's meticulously maintained, everything works well, and the bed was excellent. They even provided a clip to keep the drapes shut so that light didn't get in from outside! The people are nice too. The location is easy to find, and, while it's a little too far to walk to the downtown area, it's close to a mini-market, a park, and a coffee shop. I would stay there again, and I'd recommend it to others. I didn't use the pool or the spa, but I wish the hot tub had been working. (On the other hand, the city hot springs pool is half a block away!)

• Kathleen (10/5): - I am a senior lady traveling alone and felt very safe. The area was well lighted at night. The room (king) was quaint and more than satisfactory. The best part was the bed (and even the pillows). Not sure the brand ( I tried to find out :>). I slept so well - I have back issues and this was the best I've slept in months. I walked into downtown (Salida) every morning... 1.7 miles (downhill :>) I would definitely stay here again. It is right on Rainbow (the hwy) but it is a 'motor hotel' - Wonderful Mexican Restaurant right across the street, and the other way was fabulous Brewery/Pub.
• Julie (6/5): - You get what you pay for. Quality lodging is pretty expensive on the weekends in this mountain town. Unfortunately I have to come here 1-2 times a year for a state volunteer meeting of an organization I belong to. It’s atypical old, highway fronted motel with stained sinks & bathtubs (jetted). The towels were stained & thin. One bright spot was the floors were new. Carpet in one room & vinyl tile in the other. The AC worked pretty well & the indoor pool was very warm, but stained & old. Our key cards didn’t work each morning so we had to constantly have them reprogrammed.

They did have some construction going on the next morning by the front office.
