- Andy (10/5): - 酒店比較殘舊，但整體而言都尚算整潔，職員友善，令人住得舒服，但床及枕頭較硬，沒有羽絨枕及羽絨被供應。自助早餐及晚餐很好吃，雖然款式不多，但勝在夠傳統。另外交通方便，距離強羅站只有3分鐘步程，就算第一次去都唔驚搵唔到，方便至極。
- Mary (10/5): Super cozy hotel in Gora - We loved this hotel but we love hostels too and this reminded me of a nice hostel. So comfortable and staff was extremely helpful and just nice! It's not fancy but super clean and we loved the breakfast. There were a few western options but it's fun to see what the rest of the world is eating at 7 o'clock in the morning!

At first we thought, there was a bad smell in the room, but then we realized that the whole town is in a volcanic area that smells of sulphur. The room was comfortable enough but unremarkable. Seemed a bit pricey for what was offered. Friendly, helpful staff.

The hotel is located just next to the Gora station, easy to find, and there are also buses and shops near the hotel. Hotel is a bit old, but clean and with competitive price, highly recommend.

- yihsuan (8/5): 地理位置極方便又價格合理的旅館 - 離強羅站非常近是一大優點。雖然房間不算大，但地面有空間可以打開放平一個26寸行李箱已經足夠了。旁邊就是鐵道的關係，電車經過的聲音有點吵，如果是很重視寧靜度的人可能要考慮。晚餐跟早餐都是吃自助buffet，菜色還算豐富。以這樣的價格在箱根其實算是很推薦的旅館。

The local bus stops are nearby as well. There is not much to choose from nearby meal wise, so the “board” options here are a must—a buffet that we found agreeable at both dinner and breakfast (limited options in Western terms, though). Would I stay here again if in the Gora area? Most likely.

It offers buffet with variety of foods. Saw a lot of local stay in this hotel. The front desk can speak basic English.
- mami (4/5): - こちらで予約させていただきましたが、駐車場が設備の欄に記載されていたので、そのまま当日現地に伺ったところ、事前申し込みが無い為、駐車場の用意がないとのことでした。 こちらのサイトからで特に注意書きも無かったと伝えたところ、離れた狭小の道の奥にある駐車場を案内しますと返答。 結局宿近くのコインパーキングが夜になって空いた為、停めることができましたが、そのような状況なら事前に確認連絡を頂くか、設備に駐車場と記載しないでいただきたいと思いました。

- Jean (8/5): Location was good but beds were uncomfortable - The location was good as it is very close to Gora station. However, there is no English hotel name indicated hence we had to ask the information counter on where is the hotel. Will be good to indicate English hotel name near the bus stop/ station. The room was quite small and the beds were not too comfortable to sleep on. All the adults had backeache upon waking up and did not sleep well throughout the night. The toilet was small and looks like those toilet used in the cruise. Overall ok for just one night stay.

The building however is quite old and the carpet in the room had a funny smell. We had dinner and breakfast included, which are a nice buffets with some wester food as well. I suggest to include both meals, as there are no restaurants open in the area during the evening.

- Ryan (8/5): - We stayed one night at Gora Hotel Paipu No Kemuri in late October 2018. Like all the other posts, the hotel was right across the railroad tracks from Gora Station. Very easy to get to. We had to get to the hotel by 6 PM since we booked with half board (dinner & breakfast). I am not sure if there are food establishments nearby since our stay came with meals. The dinner and breakfast was good (buffet style), actually better than I expected, but probably changes on a daily basis. The staff did not speak much English, but we did not have an issue. The outside bath was nice after a long day of travelling. The noise from the busses and trains were a bit loud, but that did not bother me. Overall it is what I expected after reading the reviews.

- Peter (6/5): Bring ear plugs - On paper this hotel and location looked good. Unfortunately, it is right next to the train line, which runs trains every 15 minutes between 5:30am and 11:30pm. If you get a room on that side then make sure you have ear plugs if you want any sleep. My recommendation is to stay down the mountain and do Gora etc. as a day trip. There is nothing in Gora to warrant staying there for. Most hotels are self contained, and anything outside shuts early.

The hotel will charge you another 150 yen per person even you have fully paid. Service is good. Location is great just short walk from the station. Easy to catch the Cale car. You have not much choice in Gora station with private bathroom. The reception is located in B1.

- Carol (10/5): Fabulous location - Absolutely the best location! A short walk from Gora Station. 2 single beds comfortable for my sister & me. Wonderful onsen separate for men/woman, outdoor bath & indoor bath. The capsule style bathroom in the room was our least favorite part of the room. We would stay again. We had dinner in Hakone Yumoto at 808 Pizza & it was the best Naples style pizza well worth the 40 min switch back train ride. The little town of Gora closes down abour 6. Make sure you include buffet style modest breakfast for $5. Which Starts at 7:30 am or you will go hungry until late morning. The tonkatsu restaurant about 2 blocks away closes at 7 pm. We did not get the dinner buffet.

- Bruce (6/5): 2 nights spent. - Lack of English referencing on information signs, brochures, restaurant was disappointing. Bed very hard. Unaware of the local tax for hot springs - wether any hot springs used or not. It was raised at check in. The Y100 all you can eat evening meal was fantastic value which is the key point of recommendation.

- Christopher (6/5): Location > Comfort - Can’t really beat this location if you do the cable car and ropeway thing. Hotel dated, staff friendly, and beds a little hard. Ended up in a room next to the train tracks (knew it was a possibility when booking, wasn’t able to switch out unless we wanted a smoking room). Gambled and didn’t come up a winner, I guess. Got to sleep ok bc train stops at 2200, but starts at 0530, so it woke us. Have public and private baths, but didn’t make time for it. Private requires reservation. Overall, prob hit or miss depending on room location.

Best thing is their private onsen! Definitely my choice of stay the next time I come back to hakone! Thank you for making my stay in hakone a memorable one!

(The hotel is next to the train tracks, so you can hear the trains passing by.) Although the staff speak very little English, they tried to understand my questions and help as much as they could. The breakfast and dinner were good. We had to pay a standard 300 yen onsen tax. We used the onsen; it was nice and clean.

- Joe (8/5): Excellent Hotel for Easy Access to Hakone Area - This is a clean quiet convenient hotel with all the amenities you need for a trip to the Hakone area. It has hot springs baths, a very good restaurant for breakfast and dinner and is very close to the Gora station where you can easily catch a bus, taxi or the cable car to easily access anywhere you want to go in the Hakone area. It is not a luxury hotel, but is well-kept and has excellent amenities at an affordable price - excellent value for the money. I would definitely stay here again when visiting this area of Japan.

- Charmaine (10/5): Nice hotel & very near to GORA Station - The location of this hotel is close to GORA Station , bus stops and shops . It's a great place to stay . Staff were friendly , pleasant and helpful . The breakfast and dinner buffet were very good and delicious . Room itself was clean and comfortable . My family was very pleased with our stay here . Hope to be back for a longer visit in the future .

- Wanette (10/5): GREAT HOTEL - Great hotel, great location. Right outside of Gora Train Station. Easy access to the cable car and rope way to view Mt Fuji and the boat ride on Lake Ashi. Hotel had private onsen with a minimal cost which was great. Breakfast and dinner was provided and that was good. Everything about this hotel was GREAT! I would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): no toilet inside the room, cant speak english - there is no shower/bath neither toilet inside the room, and they didnt mention it in the website, even the hotel's page didnt mention it, it is very inconvenient. Well understand that onsen hotel may not have shower inside the room, but they should mention it. I have informed Hotels.com about this point, and they suggested me to call and ask if you have any concerns or something else that they did not mentioned in the website, so you may have to call and make sure the hotels got a bed, pillows, towels, slippers, toilet, bath/shower, hair dryer.......whatever they dint mention! The staffs hardly understand and speak in english...cant communicate at all......
- Alex (8/5): Great location, awesome breakfast and onsen. - This hotel is right next to the station in Gora and is an awesome base to explore Hakone and its surrounds. The hotel is a little dated but was comfortable and clean enough for our family and also had its own indoor and outdoor Onsen on the B1 floor. Breakfast was also included in the price and the selection for breakfast was absolutely awesome, including japanese/western food as well as soft drinks, coffee/tea soft serves, waffles etc etc. Great price for its location, perfect for those budget conscious travellers who want an awesome location to explore Hakone from.
