- Hermann (10/5): Ein kleines Juwel in einem ruhigen Seitental - Das Hostel liegt in einem bewaldeten Seitental, etwa 10Min zu Fuss vom Strand. Unser Zimmer (mit Bad) war das schönste unserer bisherigen NZ-Reise (nach 1 Monat). Wir fühlten uns darin sehr wohl. Schade, hatten wir nur 1 Nacht gebucht. Am Morgen besuchten uns Hennen des Hostels auf der Terrasse. Ihre Eier bereicherten schliesslich unser Frühstück
- Emma (10/5): - This Beachstay is in a beautiful location. The house itself is very well equipped and has great common areas and facilities. Beds super comfortable. Everyone very respectful and friendly. 10 minute walk to the beach, and 2 walking tracks within minutes walk.
- Kimberley (10/5): - Close to the beach and hikes. Very laid back. Jeff has great recommendations which are posted right on the wall for your convenience. He even has farm fresh eggs from his chicken available for $1 and a trampoline. So fun!

- Verified traveler (10/5): A peaceful, green stay - This was such a lovely place to stay, in a gorgeous location. I wish I could have booked a longer stay. The outdoor area was full of greenery and a perfect place to kick back with a book or conversation. The hostel had a cozy feeling, and also walking distance to a nice waterfall hike and to the beach.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Wished I could have stayed longer! - It was such a lovely stay, I wished I could have stayed longer! Could easily do a week there, the short distance is totally worthwhile for the breathtaking views. Everyone was friendly and welcoming even the pets.
- Farida (10/5): - At Piha Beachstay, the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Jeff #1 who went out of his way to fixed a surfboard so I can rent it and Jeff #2 who was hospitable making checkin easy. The room was clean and spotless-thanks to the amazing housekeepers! The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The outdoor patio area had comfy chairs for sitting out and a trampoline for a fun bounce! A shared kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook including a good size fridge and free range eggs (for purchase but a nice touch!). The location was perfect just steps away to breathtaking Kitekite Falls and 10-15 minutes walk to famous sites such the Lion Rock, Piha surf beach and the Tasman Sea Lookout. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Piha about 45 minutes west of Auckland City.

Lovely full kitchen, comfy shared space, plenty of bathrooms, and clean cozy rooms. Each area had patio doors that opened up to the most incredible views of nothing but mountain. Really wonderful guests and hosts. Recommend 12/ 10 and will be going back!

- Alexandra (10/5): Immer wieder - Freundlicher Empfang! Ich hatte übersehen, dass ich in einem Mehrbettzimmer gebucht habe, aber das war völlig in Ordnung. Die Doppelzimmer sagen ebenfalls sehr schön aus. Leider sind die Sir Hillary Trails im Moment mehrheitlich geschlossen.

- Cazza (10/5): Quiet stay in picturesque surroundings - We were warmly welcomed and shown around. We had the Nikau room which was modern, clean and comfortable. We had a private ensuite and rear access to a private balcony and car park. The communal kitchen was well stocked and user friendly. A very nice outlook from the dining and sitting areas. A little bit of a walk to the beach but if time is on your side it is not an issue.

And if the woman who was doing nature hikes is still there (loraine I believe was her name) definitely take her up on one, her energy is infectious.
- M (8/5): Beautiful homely stay - Lovely beachstay just a short walk to Piha beach/cafe. Greeted by very friendly staff. Room has beautiful view of lush gardens and mountains. Only area that could improve would be notifying guests in advance of their plan for loud music and fire crackers (with visiting small children screaming and dogs barking) the night I stayed. Thankfully I had ear plugs and was able to sleep after my long journey.
- Bruno (10/5): Bon pour les backpackers - Emplacement très calme, ambiance chaleureuse dans la pièce commune. Grande terrasse pour les jours ensoleillés. 2 douches et 3 toilettes pour tout l'établissement. A 2 min de l'entrée du circuit pédestre pour la cascade.
