Guest Reviews
- Anita (8/5): Good for a night, convenient location - Spacious, clean, good size room. Good shower. Very warm. Fan provided but windows didn’t open fully. Noisy next to the golf course
- Mustafa (10/5): -
- morgan (6/5): - Room was clean I walking into a glass door which didn't had any sticker or identification on it and the area had poor lighting
- Mark (8/5): -
- KIMBERLEY (8/5): Excellent stay, the hotel, food and staff are great. - A very warm welcome at Reception, all the staff were polite and friendly.
The hotel was well decorated inside.
We enjoyed dinner and breakfast- the food was excellent and good value! Shame it wasn’t busier.
Service for the hot breakfast was very slow and the dirty pots were not cleared in a timely manner but the food was delicious. The only issue I had was the bed which was very uncomfortable.
And the breakfast service could have been better as the young staff were chatting instead of clearing pots etc
- Robert (9/5): - Good location for to visit family. Large room with comfortable bed.tea and coffee supplied and bottled water when we arrived. Could not get the radiator to come on so the room was a little chilly when we returned in the evening.
Could not get the bath plug to work properly.
- Praise (2/5): Not worth the money - The checking in was okay and straight forward. The lights in the bedroom and bathroom weren't working. The room wasn't the cleaniest. The heating wasn't working. They asked for a caution fee in case there were damages but the property was not in the best condition.
- Rachel (9/5): Good value for money, and a great breakfast - Staff were great, and very welcoming. Breakfast very good, and freshly cooked. Convenient location and great view over the golfcourse from the room. Nice to have bottles of water in the room, which was large and spacious. rooms a little tired in places
- Louise (7/5): Ignore the outside and enjoy your stay - Really comfy, good location and good value. Staff are fantastic Outside takes you back to 1970s Russia - very outdated and off putting.

- Jamie (9/5): Alright, comfortable. Needs some maintenance. - Good location for our stay, loads of parking Found a cleaning sponge left in the bathroom when we first got in, then a cleaning cloth was left on one of the seats the next day.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Location
- Norma (1/5): Not a good vist expensive for what it was would not return - Nothing The receptionist was unfriendly not helpful. The room had no heating it was cold during the night paid for breakfast but had none it did not look very appetising.
- John (4/5): Average hotel that needs updating - Good location for visiting Grimsby. Poor quality mattress with no mattress topper. Some of the breakfast items were like warm.
- chris (6/5): Disappointing - Nice view from room. Bath on the en-suite. Exterior was shabby and drab, with filthy conference curtains. Smashed glass and cigarettes around the entrance. One over-bed light not working. Springs of mattress noisy. Only one bath towel in bathroom. No charger socket near bed. Cold dining room; full English breakfast only warm.
- Jayne (9/5): -
- Ashlee (10/5): Perfect - Location and the reception Nothing
- leigh (8/5): Great value for money - A very comfortable room with a huge bed. Temperature was great for sleeping and it was silent, so we had a great night's sleep. Outlook on to the golf course was very pleasant. We had a very nicely cooked full English breakfast. Thank you! Nothing
- Sarah (10/5): - The pillows werent very comfy but every else was great
- David (8/5): Very happy - It suited our needs. The room was large, with 2 armchairs. We were visiting my family who are only a few roads away. Nothing
- Karen (10/5): Great value hotel and a delicious fish and chip supper - Easy to find. Great location. Nice room. Good value Exterior is a bit off putting
- Malvin (5/5): Satisfactory - Close to town
Parking
Good evening meal

Very clean Noise from Party
Breakfast limited no Museli no fresh coffee
Evening meal was better but only chips

- Joseph (7/5): -
- Pete (7/5): -
- Louise (8/5): Good Stay - The gentleman at the front desk was fabulous! The room was a very pleasant surprise. We overlooked the golf course and the wall of windows made the view even better One of the beds was in need of replacement. The side wall had no support
- V11NYM (6/5): Very disappointed. - Location suited our requirements. Was informed 2 days before arrival the restaurant would be closed Saturday night. On Sunday evening, found the restaurant does not do food on Sunday. Allegedly, this is in the confirmation email. To order a drink at the bar, you were required to walk to reception and ring for service. Once you received your drinks, you had to go back to reception to pay for them.
- Dorothy (6/5): - No breakfast as it had finished The exterior was much worse than the interior
- Clay (3/5): Find an alternative. - The view of the golf course The hassle regards to money, no bank manchine working. Asking for a drink at the bar was a hassle
- Jeremy (2/5): STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE - The room has a balcony I been staying here on and off for a few years. It has recently changed hands and now has a large group of long term guests. This has impacted the facilities and services offered to paying guests. No charging to your room, bar is cash only and what was once a decent cooked to order breakfast is now a buffet to accommodate said large group. The buffet was stone cold, inedible, as was the coffee. Won't be back.
- Paul (8/5): -
- Adam (8/5): -
- Lindsey (4/5): Awful - Location for where we needed to be and free parking No heating on mid April and freezing room, receptionist offered plug in heater that had on all night 10hrs on full only then did room warm up.
Plastic/waterproof pillows awful
Poor lightening in the room Bessie lamp don’t work
Lift didn’t work properly door kept jamming and wouldn’t close.
Foisty/musty smell throughout and stained carpets
Breakfast was awful, staff unorganised, cold food. Cold tea/coffee. Poor selection not worth £15
- Mykhailo (10/5): - Thank you ❤️
- Gaynor (7/5): -
- Ann (10/5): Very enjoyable - Setting overlooking golf course lovely A little out of town for us
- Jane (9/5): Don’t judge by the outside because the inside more than makes up for it. - It was lovely inside, the staff were very friendly and the food was gorgeous The outside of the building. When we first arrived we weren’t looking forward to the stay, the outside needs some attention to it.
- George (4/5): - Breakfast not goodbye No heating room cold, need new lift
- John (8/5): -
- Hollie (10/5): -
- Alex (5/5): -
- Louise (6/5): it's good for short stays - This was my second stay here.
The hotel is in a great location with ample car parking. The staff are very polite and helpful. There is a bar and restaurant which I didn't use this time.
The room was spacious and pleasant. I found other guests put a dampener on my stay. People in the next room talking loudly at 3am wasn't great.
The kettle in my room also had a strange, yellowy/orange liquid in.
No phone charging points near bed.

- Elaine (9/5): Comfortable stay. - Nice hotel. Tidy, clean and comfortable room with lots of storage. Reception staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast not too good. Was advertised as closing at 9.30am. We came down at 8.45am to find hardly any fruit left and just an odd bakery item still there. Hot breakfast was still available but a bit dried out.
Coffee was cold and although it was topped up it was barely warm.
- Alan (5/5): Adequate accommodation for a weekend stay - The location of the hotel. Its was out of town and close to main routes. Grimsby town was around 40 minutes walking distance.
The price for the rooms was in our budget. The outside of the hotel looked like a 1970's school. I wondered why there was no photos of it, although the inside was better. The food wasn't great. I think artistic license was used on the menu pictures. There was no steaks left on Friday and the cook didn't turn up on Saturday morning to cook breakfast. We did get a discount on continental breakfast. The mattress in my bedroom could do with replacement, it appeared to be well used.

- AstridY (10/5): Zeer comfortabel hotel - Het personeel, de kamers, het ontbijt Niets
- david (10/5): - Big room comfy bed
- Peter (7/5): -
- Andrew (6/5): Nice stay but hotel is starting to look a little tired, breakfast service was also a little slow. - Location is ideal and the views across the golf course are lovely. The sink in our room was missing it's plug which was removed because it was blocked, I managed to clear the blockage but it wasn't really down to me to do. The room was very dusty, the cleaning wasn't really up to standard which is a key requirement having previously owned a hotel myself. We've been coming here for many years and parts of the hotel are starting to look a little tired now, a minor refresh is required.
- Graham (8/5): -
- Kevin (3/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): - It was clean and comfortable with a lively view of the golf course Can't complain about anything really
- Thomas (8/5): Good value for what we needed. - The staff were very helpful, especially Sarah who was amazing. The bed was comfortable, the room was good overall. The breakfast was a bit slow - it felt like generally they were a bit under-staffed. The lift was out of order for most of the day, though it seemed this was a one off. There was only one large towel in the room.

- Kelly (1/5): Disgusting - Not a lot my daughter who is 9 fell out tge bed and has a broken ankle the plug to the bath was disgusting the kettle did not work told them got me another one which was full of water god nose how long it's been in it still would not switch of while boiling I left after 3 hours did not sleep there Every thing it was not clean I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
- carol (10/5): - Brilliant stay , staff great, good breakfast also staff helpful and pleasant, we will be back 😀
- Snipas (10/5): -
- Paula (6/5): - Comfortable bed Hotel looks run down and in need of a face-lift inside and out. Stained carpets, worn out looking exterior, old fashioned rooms
- Gary (5/5): Good overall - Issue with check in which was not good no contactless payment which put damper on things as long time spent on check in Easy to get to from major routes
- Frank (6/5): comfortable, fit for purpose - Clean and comfortable room. Good location for an over night stay. Every thing was as per expectation.
- Madeleine (10/5): Excellent - Comfy beds , lovley staff , breakfast was lovley , Nothing
- Madeleine (10/5): -
- Jan (8/5): Give this hotel a chance - it’s great inside - Lovely spacious room. Super clean. Great view overlooking the golf course. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. The outside appearance of the hotel really lets it down.
- DAVID (10/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): Lovely stay , friendly staff and great room - Good location and clean Looks dated on the outside
- Booth (8/5): -
- JAMES (7/5): - Friendly staff and great restaurant. Bit dated
- Mark (3/5): -
- Karen (5/5): Bad nights sleep - Rooms clean and outlook over golf course
Great breakfast I have never slept in a more uncomfortable bed.
Bed springs digging into me causing pain and discomfort and leading to bad nights sleep on both nights of our stay.
- Julia (10/5): Great stay if you look beyond the facade - Very nice inside, great quiet bar area.
Nice tasty breakfast Outside looks very outdated
Coffee was really bad (might sound irrelevant, but morning coffee sets the tone for the day for me!)
- Lisa (9/5): Defo worth a visit - Lovely hotel, clean and tidy. Staff were attentive. Definitely don't judge a book by its cover!
Tracey the member of staff was brilliant. Credit to the hotel.
Breakfast was very nice.
- Steve (8/5): -
- Rui (1/5): Just to book if there is nothing else available - Location Lack of care by the staff
- Eduart (10/5): -
- Clive (4/5): -
- Rui (1/5): Really poor... - Location and it was comfortable I was with my son and was put in the room.104 that had a locked door to the room 105. The people in the room 105 were having Lound sex and speaking very Lound until 1am. I was with my son in the room and was upsetting. The people in the room 105 were trying to open the door to the room 104. I did not sleep at all. The room had no phone to communicate with the reception. Staff were when asked about a refund, it was unpleasant and did not really care about my situation and namely that I was with a 8 years old child. The hotel have other rooms without doors separating the rooms. When I book on booking.com it says that I'm booking a room with 2 beds and does not say that the room has an door to the other room. I would never book that room at all. Really poor...I requested an refund byb email but no answer.
