Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): False Advertisting - The extra charge for the "spa" was added on top of the rate. False Advertising. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
- Jennifer (2/5): Dirty - The apartment was generally nice BUT the bedroom carpet clearly was not vacuumed. I stepped on a potato chip left by someone else, which is both revolting and entirely unacceptable. The washer/dryer area was also very dirty, the bathroom needed a bath mat, and there was no shower curtain liner leaving the cloth shower curtain to get very wet. Furthermore, while customer service was very responsive at first and offered to send a cleaning crew over, the crew never appeared, and the place remained dirty (with someone else’s dirt) the entire time I stayed there.
Will not be staying in this gross place again.
- Heath (6/5): From Gray to Yellow - The information I received regarding check in/check out procedures and information about the apartment indicated that there would not be any cleaning service during my stay. After the first night there (July 4th), someone came through for cleaning service. This person removed a pillow case from my personal pillow and washed it with white towels. The pillow case was gray and it is now yellow. So to sum up, the cleaning service was not supposed to be there but showed up anyway (July 5th), they touched my personal belongings, didn't pay attention to the color and bleached it. So I now have a mismatched pillow case for sheets that cost about $200. I'm wondering why the cleaners showed up at all when it was stated that no daily cleaning service would come during my stay. So I had to pay over $100 for a cleaning service to bleach my gray pillow case and make it yellow for me.
Other than that, the place is clean, it's a good location in DC, there are plenty of utensils in the kitchen to make the stay more comfortable so one doesn't need to eat out for every meal. There are plenty of healthy eateries nearby, so the area is nice. Just wish the cleaning service didn't show up when they're not supposed to. I'm still debating within myself what type of action I would like to take in this regard. Perhaps by posting this review I'll feel better and won't feel like taking any action at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, close to restaurants, close but not too close to capitol hill.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The blinds in one bedroom were broken the first day I checked in and I have put in a maintenance request but they never sent anyone to take care of it. Their excuse was they need to order a replacement. I stayed there 5 nights and they failed to fix it. Also, the toilet in the other bedroom was broken and it makes a weird noise the whole time which makes it really difficult to sleep. They finally sent a plumber after calling them around 8 times in a row to complain. Overall, the stay was terrible. People who slept in the room with the broken blinds kept waking up early and people who slept in the other bedroom could not sleep because of the toilet. Their solution was to hang a towel on the window or use a sleeping mask. It is a completely unprofessional solution when the guests are paying them to stay. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The management is really bad.
- Roxana (8/5): only one drawback - the apartment is very comfortable, the location too, the only thing that I did not understand was that the bathroom and the living room were not clean. another detail importamte the very comfortable bed excellent
- Karen (6/5): Nice stay - Clean apartment, safe, furniture was not comfortable, no regular TV channels
- Lewis (2/5): Second floor against noisy street - First off, this *is* an apartment, and not a hotel. Although the apartment is situated in a nice location (30min walk to the White House, Smithsonians, etc.), it's unbearably noisy since it's on the 2nd floor against a pretty busy street. Even with the windows completely shut, we could hear people talking right outside, sirens blaring, and cars driving late into the night.
The shower was also quite filthy - it kept clogging and didn't drain at all.
We asked for some extra blankets and towels, since we weren't given enough on our first night. The house keeper finally brought it to us on the 2nd day. That's the price you pay for not staying at a hotel (there's always a lag).
Finally, there was a discrepancy between the price that hotels.com initially showed and what we paid (we had to pay more for our stay). Seems a bit fraudulent.
We won't be staying here if we ever visit D.C. again.
- Tyler (10/5): Great place to stay in DC - Loved it. Great location, plenty of room and great amenities.
- Walther (8/5): Good option! - Apartment very nice, altough cleaning were not as good as needed.
Very good position to visit Washington by foot/bike
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was really lovely, the building well appointed and the staff helpful. However I did not appreciate the frequent and stern reminders about checking in early and leaving on time and the threatened penalties for not doing so. For the amount we paid firstly I’d expect 2pm check in and midday checkout and secondly a bit more flexibility or helpful suggestions About luggage storage etc
- Verified traveler (10/5): Family stay in Washington - Property was spacious and well furnished. Beds were comfortable. We offered the opportunity to park at the property by the concierge for $20 dollars a night which was a bonus.
- Tom (8/5): - Very convenient to events around Thomas Circle; many restaurants and small stores nearby. Excellent front desk/concierge services in building.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - V ery nice place
- CY74 (6/5): - Excellent location, but apartment needs a make-over. It's out dated and bathrooms are very unattractive.
- Eddie (8/5): Good location for a Washington DC visit - The apartment was clean and secure and well located to the White House and transport, which were both only a short walk. Beds were comfortable and showers hot.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Make sure to double check which building!!! - It was an Alright experience. Make sure which place you're getting. I thought I was next to the national mall Apartment, But boy was I mistaken.
Staff was alright... Small dirty gym and there isn't a pool..... I felted cheated somewhat....
Also I just now realize, My place looked nothing like the pictures they showed ):
- connie d wiley (6/5): Excellent location not well maintained. - Excellent location. The tub caulk was fifty percent solid mold and mildew. The shower flowed only at fifty percent. There were not enough pillowcases. Two of the pillows had bloodstains. The mattresses were flipped over and the non skid bumpy service was on the top. The refrigerator did not have an ice maker and no ice trays . were supplied. No ROKU as was advertised. The unit had two televisions. One remote operated both televisions. Thus, one of the remotes was useless. The master bath has three light bulbs. Only one was operating. We searched for light bulbs and couldn't find them.
- A (8/5): Safe neighbourhood, clean premises. - Over pleased with our trip. The heating in the apartment was an issue. There was no control of temperature even though the thermostat was there. The heat shot up to 85'F and was very uncomfortable. We were opening and closing the windows and sweating or fraazing at times. The beds were a little too soft for us.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great! - Great location, great building, great stay!
