Guest Reviews
- Sahil (10/5): Exceptional stay with exceptional host. - Gorgeous serene property with breathtaking views of the valley. An excellent spot for a quiet city break and family friendly. Gaye is a wonderful attentive host who made our family feel so comfortable.
- Stefan (10/5): - Lage. Freundlichkeit Empfang. Frühstück im Häuschen. Tipps für Freizeitgestaltung.
- Kumar (10/5): -
- Gary (7/5): A really nice stay, but maybe a little overpriced. - Location. Situated among the vines and fruit trees was very peaceful. Breakfast foods a nice touch. Fridge door doesn’t close properly, needs an extra push to seal. Ensuite fan not working, heat lamp only one bulb working. Lack of kitchen foil, paper towel and cling wrap.
- Ian (6/5): Enjoyable stay in beautiful location - Very generous breakfast supplied. Fresh fruit, juice, milk, yoghurt and cereals. Very comfortable and set in beautiful location. The cottage just needed a little sprucing up around the outside.
- Patricia (8/5): An excellent place for a night, but not quite living up to the price. - The place was clean, comfortable, roomy, and has wonderful views through the huge picture windows.
We enjoyed a good night there, and breakfast in the sunshine on the patio/terrace. The property itself was excellent.
The disappointments for an expensive night were: the wine tasting and restaurant were not open (but there was no indication of this before we booked); not all the stated amenities were available (no bath robes, or coat hangers); the bottle of Borrodell wine which was promised in the greeting message, never appeared.
- JOHN (9/5): great place - fantastic
- Josh (10/5): - Everything. It is perfect
- Okga (9/5): -
- Eeva (3/5): Disappointed used to be nice - Location Unclean not vacuumed for ages broken glass/ food in mat , property run-down neglectrd owner can’t see any problem
- Tapiwa (10/5): -
- Tapiwa (10/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Private and peaceful regional Australia - Great location and private facility to just relax and "drink in" the peaceful views and surrounds.
- ashlee (9/5): -
- Priyanka (10/5): -
- Adam (7/5): Great place, Great Views but a little over priced. - The breakfast was 1 container of cornflakes located inside our room. The extra's like bread, butter, jam was also included, as well as some chocolate's. Paying nearly $500 p/n I was expecting a little more effort ? The Spa bath contained "orange" colour water so that was disappointing. Also the Tesla Charger wasn't working. The package advertised a bottle of Wine upon arrival, This wasn't received.
- James (10/5): -
- Claire (10/5): -
- MT (10/5): Unforgetabble place to stay. So tranquil and comfortable - A stunning property!
Excellent Accomodation! wifi
- Floor (9/5): - We had dinner at the restaurant which was great. The next morning we were very sad to discover the restaurant burned down. Nobody was hurt , but a very sad sight. We wish you all a speedy recovery and rebuild so we can come again
- Debby (8/5): -
- Jaroslav (8/5): Very good - Lovely location. The continental breakfast was very nice.
- Melinda (8/5): Very good -
- Paula (10/5): Lovely weekend away - As always it's so beautiful to disconnect from the world at this amazing spot. I have been here several times already but first time with my partner and it was lovely. Absolutly nothing
- Tanya (6/5): Pleasant - The location is wonderful and quiet with lovely views and scenery. We stayed in Truffles cabin with 4 adults and it was a good size and a benefit to have an ensuite with one of the bedrooms as well as another full bathroom. It was too cold to enjoy but the gardens and patio spaces are also spacious. There needs to be Wifi available in the cabins, the lounges in our cabin need replacing, there is a full kitchen but needs to provide basics such as salt and oil (there was pepper and sugar). We stayed 3 nights and did not have enough firewood or some breakfast items so should look at replenishing wood and some breakfast items for longer stays. Responsiveness of staff could be improved.
- Hilary (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast
- Basil (9/5): A peaceful stay on a great winery property - Beautiful fall colours in the extensive property. Quiet surroundings but a great rural experience in this lovely rural property. Restaurant in the winery was excellent.
- Tina (10/5): Fantastic! - Very quiet, lovely location
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eslick (9/5): Really beautiful spot and Gayle the host is the real deal - Amazing location !!! Only one thing to comment .NO WIFI in the rooms and this should be noted !! WIFI in rooms Important this day and age for high end locations
- Ranjana (9/5): Superb - The premises are tiptop. Kitchen was extremely well stocked. The cottages didn’t have Wifi but we aren’t interested in a holiday where we were glued to screens. Very magical In this day and age, it may be good to provide WiFi in the cottages
- Elliott (8/5): Very good - Very happy with the reception, the views are amazing. I did not eat there, as I travelled their late Monday and only lunch was available from Thursday to Monday.
- Nikki (2/5): Accomodation old and tired, how I felt when I woke up there. - It had nice views from the upper section of property. Arrived to check in 3 pm no one was present. couldn’t try the wines , no sky bar no restaurant. Pointless staying at a winery. A real disappointment it felt like we should not have been there. We asked for a refund so we could leave they denied a refund. Should reduce cost and make people aware there will be no customer service or wine experience on a Tuesday. Over priced accomodation, needs refurbish. Didn’t even have dishcloth to wash up.
- Cameron (10/5): WOW - Love this place and Gaye was only too happy to assist with any queries. - The serenity of this stay was unmatched - Quite and hassle free. Everything we needed was there and surrounding nature and views were spectacular.
- Donna (8/5): A great getaway with friends in a beautiful vineyard. - Quiet with lots of animal life. Very relaxing near a few wineries and a lovely continental breakfast to share with friends. The lounges need replacing. Free wine tasting would be nice or a bottle of wine in room. At $7 per tasting per wine I thought was over the top and so went elsewhere.
- Hurley (8/5): Very good -
- Ange (8/5): Very good -
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (10/5): Beautiful location - Fantastic supply of breakfast supplies - jams, breads, fruit, orange juice, milk, butter, cereals, tea and coffee, yoghurt and a beautiful bottle of their wine. We stayed ion the Chardonnay and the views were beautiful overlooking the vineyard and very private. Staff were lovely. The restaurant was beautiful!!! There was no curtain on one of the bedrooms. It looks like it had been ripped off and pulled out of the wall. So that meant there was sun streaming in at 5am, which was not pleasant. The shower door in the main bathroom was broken, but still usable.
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - I've stayed here several times already and never fails to amaze me. I did have an issue with the Tesla charger still not working even though an electrician had come out to get it fixed. That was the only downfall as its handy just charging my car over night in the property.
- Justine (10/5): Our stay at Borrodell was absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend it! - Location, breakfast, accommodation, restaurant was fantastic
- Donna (10/5): Love the location! Thank you!!!! 🙏 😊 - Location was amazing!!! .
- Stephanie (7/5): Good -
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Warwick (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Betina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Traveller (9/5): Yes to the views and ambience but No to the quality / size of the bed - A wonderful peaceful location - our "cabin" (the Kingston) had a fabulous view over orchards and vineyards. Good breakfast items provided. Cabin was roomy, clean and very well set up except for the quality and size of the bed. A relaxing but not restful stay. Booking.com entry stated a "extra large double bed" (which on every other booking I have made is an Australian KING bed) BUT that is not the case here - the bed was maybe a queen size bed? soft and squeaky. Such a pity to have such an amazing studio cabin with such a poor quality and size of bed. Not a good sleep. Also no blinds on east facing large windows so regardless of bed up with the sun.
- Sharon (10/5): Luxurious, peaceful place to stay and only 10 mins from CBD Orange - The SomersetSuite was amazing. Such beautiful views, incredibly peaceful and a gorgeous property. The suite itself was exceptional and felt very luxurious. Nothing
- Ravinder (7/5): Good -
- Stephen (8/5): Lovely stay in a great location - Location Aspects (bathrooms particularly) were a little tired and could do with a refresh
- Zara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leah (8/5): Looking for a little R&R & to escape the stresses of everyday life. Borredell you provided! - Location was stunning! Endless views. Rhonda on-site manager, thank you! Your knowledge & your welcoming was outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (8/5): Beautiful location, friendly staff, relaxing venue. - Peaceful and picturesque. Loved the supplies continental breakfast and free bottle of bubbles The little cottage is showing a bit of wear and tear with age.
- Nick (8/5): Good but... - Beautiful setting. Comfortable bed. Good amenties Unimaginative breakfast automatically replenished. Unhelpful receptionist.
- Ian (10/5): Reconnect escape - We enjoyed the tranquillity and all the quality Borredell Vineyard had to offer.
- Staines (8/5): Very good -
- Ros (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (6/5): Pleasant - Beautiful location and clean and comfortable cabin. The first night, our power went out at 9pm, which meant all heating, lighting, and water were not working. Not ideal with 5 people staying in the one cabin. The after hours emergency number didn't answer, so we were without power and running water for over 12 hours before someone rang us back.
It was an easy fix, but on a switch board that was no where near our cabin so we couldn't locate it on our own.
It wouldn't have been too bad if the staff had returned our call or even rung us while we were out for the day to apologise and let us know power had been restored.
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Loved the location and view, the group of kangaroos that “escorted” us to our cottage was especially a delight for our children. The beds were very hard. It would also have been nice to meet a human from the property in person, I don’t think 8.30 am is too early to have someone around at reception.
- Pradhan (9/5): The stay was very good, we really enjoyed it. It would be great if the other facilities were available too as it mention - I really like the location and vibe of Borrodell Vineyard. It is amazing place for a couple or family. Everything was excellent except we were not aware of the other services and restaurant were closed for that Saturday, which didn’t meet my expectations.
- Yvonne (9/5): We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night - The location was fantastic, very quiet and private with lovely views. It was rather difficult to find a staff member to ask a question
- Kim (10/5): Wonderful home away from home. Great place. - Love it. We stayed in truffles cottage this visit. Can’t wait to be back again.
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tristan (7/5): Lovely location and comfortable accomodation - Breakfast was continental style. Was ok. Nothing special. Location and surroundings were beautiful. Lovely and private.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - A warm welcome on arrival and we were escorted to the accommodation and shown through. Beautiful outlook, quiet location not far from town. The continental breakfast was exceptional with local condiments. A bottle of wine to sip on while watching the wildlife.
- Gregory (6/5): Good view, unresponsive management when needed - The view Customer service/communucation
from the apparent manager was poor
- Elizabeth (10/5): A truly relaxing country stay. - Stunning view, cosy and beautifully decorated. Very relaxing atmosphere. A wonderful ambience. Nothing.
- Gp (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Stunning views! - The stay exceeded my expectation. Has a beautiful romantic feel for it. Will definitely be back with my partner. The only negative was he Tesla charger did not work but it's something that can be fixed with some servicing perhaps.
- Donna (10/5): Was wonderful - Beautiful setting and cabin was lovely and cozy Nothing
- Colin (8/5): Very good -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Resham (9/5): lovely - nice place nothing
- Elizabeth (10/5): A sublime experience in a wonderful place. - Everything. The best his is our 4th trip to Borodell. Gorgeous chalets. Amazing view. Everything you need for a cosy weekend. Loved everything
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Lei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Perfect stay and so close to town but far enough out to enjoy the tranquility - Breakfast provided was lovely and the cottage was cosy and comfortable. It was the perfect place to stay and unwind.
- Benjamin (10/5): Secluded romantic accommodation with exceptional views - Romantic and secluded retreat located near to Orange wineries with spectacular views, and all the necessary features to fully relax and enjoy your stay.
- Fotopoulos (9/5): Lovely and relaxing - For breakfast there was a variety of things to have such as yogurt, fruit, juice, cereal, milk, english muffins, etc and it was lovely and good the quality. A bottle of wine was there and it was very nice.
Truffles cottage sleeps 6 and has enough room for everyone., air conditioning and heaters, fully equiped kitchen, etc.
Peaceful, quiet and lovely spot to relax.
Staff were friendly and professional.
- Richard (5/5): Overpriced for what you get! - Nice view
Private Very hot. No curtain on big window facing west.
Air conditioner unable to cope with heat.
Lack of interest in staff member offering wine tasting on arrival. My partner & I had to share a glass for wine tasting!
A desert wine in the fridge! Didn’t exactly go with cheese & crackers.
- Shane (8/5): An experience to be shared with friends and family alike. Location, location, location. - The location is beautiful amongst the vineyards and fruit trees. Great little cottage with three bedrooms and three bathrooms making it fantastic for up to 6 people. The lady who met us upon our arrival was extremely welcoming and let us check in a little earlier than expected. We had both cottages and provided a venue and comfort for everything we were after from the weekend. Struggling a little here to find too much wrong. The cottage immediately to the left as you approach (I forget its name already) has a beautiful veranda across the front presenting a beautiful vista. Unfortunately couldn't see too much from there due to some trees across the front. I would suggest cutting these back some and allow access to what is a wonderful location. Like I said, struggling to find too much wrong.
- Dorrington (7/5): Good -
- Patrick (8/5): Very good - Poor maintenance:
Pergola frame on balcony had rotten joint, dangerously close to falling,
Bathroom fan didn't work,
Bathroom blind was mouldy,
Front door lock was faulty, very difficult to lock or unlock,
Eaves above balcony appear to have a peewee nest, birds very active and noisy banging on roof all day.
- Vallová (8/5): Very good -
- Ankit (1/5): Bad - Very bad and scary location, even cannot find the location There’s nothing to be like.
- Elisabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Location Location
- Garry (10/5): From the moment we arrived I felt relaxed and welcomed. Louisa greeted us and escorted us to our lodge to enjoy a comple - Beautiful place , quiet , peaceful and easy to find. Nothing
- John (8/5): most enjoyable - v good the septic tank began to smell after about 3 days
- Keri (8/5): Relax and unwind - The views are spectacular, lovely to relax & unwind the cottages very charming & comfortable The availability of being able to contact the venue.
