• Caryharri (9/5): Super - We loved our stay in this beautiful home. Full of amazing art work and antiques. The garden was fantastic and a super place to relax and enjoy the sun or read. Breakfast was bountiful and the Hosts couldn't do enough to make your stay comfortable. Unfortunately they lost 1 point as they didn't have AC just a fan which was a bit clunky. We were there on an extremely hot day though and in the terrace room. The rooms in the main house which was a lot cooler were probably OK. Just a factor for some. But we still recommend staying here!

• Steven (8/5): Very hospitable hosts, restaurants nearby, lovely breakfast. - Johan and Madelaine were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice including freshly cooked eggs, bacon, sausage etc. The garden is large with plenty of outdoor seating options. The property is not modern in the slightest but that is part of the attraction. There are 3 or 4 very nice restaurants less than 5 minutes walk away. Secure parking on site and free wi-fi. We were quite happy with our stay.

Йохан и его супруга невероятно отзывчивые и дружелюбные хозяева этого прекрасного отеля. За вкусным завтраком, попивая чай или кофе, можно мило поболтать с хозяевами. Отель удачно расположен, пара минут до центральной улицы. Есть своя закрытая парковка. Все прекрасно! Жаль, что у нас не было времени остаться на пару дней в этом отеле)

• Francois (9/5): We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone - Our stay at The Waenhuis was excellent.We were welcomed by our hosts Johan and Madelein with a cup of coffee in the Lounge with a lovely fire going in the fireplace.The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable.The breakfast was tasty and the fruit platter exceptional.

From the moment I walked into the well kept, lush garden I knew my stay would be comfortable, and it was exactly that. Wonderful staff, warm, accommodating hosts - I would love to visit again. There's nothing I would change about my stay here. It was better than expected.

I had a colleague join me a for run before heading to a meeting and they accommodated him taking a shower and invited him to join for breakfast. You just can't find anything not to like about this property.

Upon arrival we were greeted joyfully by the owner who walked us through and showed us around, she could not have been more kind and generous. Our room was perfect and sadly it was only for a one night stay. Breakfast was cooked to order which included plenty of sides such as yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, lots of different teas, coffee, cheeses, croissants etc. I had a very pleasant conversation with the owner over breakfast. Truly an enjoyable experience. We definitely recommend staying here if you are ever in George.

Would highly recommend for a place to relax and enjoy the peace and calm of their historical home, with cool verandas to sit out and enjoy the lovely gardens. Breakfast was wonderful. We are elderly (80) and stepping down into a shower without any handrail called for very careful stepping.
