- Raoul (4/5): - This is more like a restaurant with rooms. The rooms are nice, but no WiFi on third floor and smell of food in rooms. Towels smelt like they had been left in washing machine for 3 days. This is NOT a four start hotel. Staff are too busy dealing with restaurant to care. Fine at 100 euros but stupid at 200

- Melanie (8/5): - We loved our stay so much we booked another night for the trip back. Albi is a beautiful village and the hotel is situated perfectly. On a more quiet street but very walkable to the cathedral, musée de Toulous-Laurtrec, the new walking bridge (very scenic), restaurants and more. The hotel has beautiful spacious rooms that are well equipped. The restaurant (be sure to reserve it books up) was phenomenal. If you require parking be sure to reserve or be okay parking yourself and walking. We would definitely stay here again.

- remj (10/5): Top notch hotel in perfect location, with excellent French breakfast. - Top notch small hotel. A warm welcome, delightful bedroom, excellent restaurant. The location is perfect, in the exquisite old town, within easy walking distance of the cathedral and Toulouse-Lautrec museum. Best of all, breakfast! At Alchimy this is NOT one of those ghastly international buffets offered by 99% of hotels, with lukewarm trays of rubbery eggs, flabby bacon and (horror of horrors) baked beans. Breakfast here was a breath of fresh air. We were led to our table which was already laid with a basket of fresh fruit, and another of wonderful fresh bread and croissants, good butter and jam. A pot of delicious home-made yoghurt was also offered, plus juices and coffee/tea. A proper French petit déj - bravo!

The rooms are very comfortasble. The food is excellent. I would certainly stay there again if I were to return to Albi.

- David (10/5): - If you want to experience a unique hotel in a beautiful town then look no further than the Alchimy. The welcome, the rooms, the service and the evening food is of the highest quality and we will go back there again. The only negative comment we have is about the breakfast as following the excellence of the evening meal we expected, at the least, a large selection at a buffet breakfast but instead we just had a basket of bread and croissants, an orange juice and a coffee so for €12.50 disappointing :-(

Good location in lovely town. Shame we couldn’t stay longer or try the restaurant. All very attractive looking surroundings. One to revisit. We went to see the Toulouse Lautrec museum and loved the display and the building.

We enjoyed a night here and recommend the breakfast which included fresh fruit and yoghurt as well as the usual bread and viennoiseries. Dinner was superb in the elegant restaurant and is clearly a spot favoured by locals.
- Nicolas (10/5): Toujours aussi positivement surprenant ! - C'est la deuxième fois que je descends à l'Alchimie, cette fois pour un séjour privé, tout comme ma dernière venue pour organiser une réunion régionale, tout était parfait. Le personnel est aux petits soins, l'hôtel est "atypiquement" génial, déco, environnement. Nous n'avons pas eu le temps de goûter à nouveau aux plats préparés avec goûts comme lors de mon dernier passage. Je ne manquerai de m'organiser autrement pour y remédier.
- galaxygrrl2000 (10/5): Super great, little boutique hotel. - This is a lovely little hotel, right in the middle of middle of the old town. The room was large, beautifully designed and super comfortable.. This is a small hotel. It has less than 10 rooms. Breakfast was good - a really yummy bread basket and yogurt, but was not a big spread and there was not fruit. I would stay here again in a second.

- Thomas (8/5): Boutique hotel with popular restaurant - Boutique hotel with large and very comfortable rooms. Bathrooms in particular were great. Service is basic as the place is probably more of a restaurant than hotel. You will need to make reservations if you want to eat at the restaurant.
- Gael (8/5): Bra hôtel. - Bra Hotel överlag. Väldigt väl placerad, nära till restaurangen och butiker. Rummet är rymligt, bekväm. Den inredning är Art Deco. Sängen är lite hård, kuddarna så där. Frukost är bra. Dusch utrymmet är stort. Det är toppen bra med parkeringen nära till hotellet, kostar 15 € per natt, dock är det väldigt trånga platser och krångligt när man åker ut (tvungen att åka på väldigt trånga gå gator cirka 200-300 meter.
- Ian_9999_2017 (10/5): A small gem in the city - A couple of nights away for our wedding anniversary. Excellent welcome and nothing seemed to be a trouble for the bilingual staff. Our room was decorated in a contemporary way without being brash, and spotlessly clean. The only odd thing was that there was no soap in the toilet, and no suggestion that there ever had been - maybe an oversight? That aside, we still have to rate Alchemy as excellent, and will definitely go back there when we return to Albi.
- Nanachubs (10/5): One of Nanachubs Top Ten - This is what we expect of a luxury hotel. We were so impressed, we stayed an extra night. There are few rooms and each one is a jewel unto itself. So comfortable and no amenity overlooked. The service is so attentive. Breakfast was elegant and efficient. The restaurant was wonderful and reasonable with diligent service. We adored everything about this hotel: location, quality, staff - all exceptional.
- TedH482 (10/5): Excellent quality Bijou hôtel in a central location - Alchemy is located by the side of the Palais and in this capacity is fabulously located being in the old beautiful and old medieval centre of Albi. In consequence, the worst problem you will have during your stay is possibly finding it by car. Our satnav went into a chaotic psychosis as we approached the pedestrianised area where the hotel is situated. So many roads have been pedestrianised, which seemed to confuse the technology. This really will be the end of any problems for once the reserved garaging of the car is made in an bijou garage, the rest is adorable. This hotel with about 10 bedrooms oozes comfort and no stone has remained unturned to produce opulence. Our only minor criticism is that it was lovely having a quality coffee machine and free water in the fridge, but both were in a cupboard without lighting, which did make usage quite difficult and a touch dangerous. This is a minor criticism when everything was so perfect Leaving central Albi was as difficult as arriving. There is a very complicated inner city traffic system in place, that seems to be alien to visitor traffic..

- LMSP (10/5): Excellent boutique hotel with character which more than lived up to our high expectations - Small, very comfortable Hotel with excellent and very friendly service. We had room 1 - large with a spacious seating area and huge bathroom. Everything seemed new and super clean. Breakfast was excellent, especially the coffee, and supper our first night was delicious. They’ve recently opened a bar across the square which serves great cocktails but did make quite a lot of noise late into the evening on our second night. Or perhaps the music was coming from elsewhere.

- Verified traveler (4/5): bel hôtel mais mauvais wifi - hôtel récemment rénové et confortable - dommage que le service soit limité puisque les serveurs du restaurant s'occupent de la réception quand ils ont le temps. Hier je les ai appelé parce que le wifi ne fonctionnait pas et ils n'ont rien fait. Quelque chose devait être débranché car ce matin, sans rien faire, le wifi fonctionnait. C'est inacceptable car j'ai besoin du wifi.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was by far our favorite hotel during our travels through the French countryside. Our room was beautifully decorated, colorful and clean. Check-in was quick and convenient. We opted to eat dinner at the hotel and were treated to some amazing dishes. The best part of our experience here was the management - the owner was present and engaged all of the guests. You can tell it's a well-loved local establishment.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Un bel hôtel - Le début n'a pas été vraiment engageant. Personne à l'accueil à notre arrivée, attente 5 minutes sans voir quiconque ! La personne qui finit par venir, plutôt sympathique, nous amène à notre chambre. La chambre est spacieuse et confortable, la salle de bain et les toilettes sont impeccables. Le mini bar est gratuit, mais hélas la machine à café ne marchait pas. Voulant visiter Albi, nous avons demandé un plan en sortant avec le lieu ou est situé l'hôtel... mais la personne était incapable de nous situer sur la carte ! Nous nous sommes donc débrouillés seuls. Le petit déjeuner est de bonne qualité (fruits frais, yaourt maison...), et copieux, même si ce n'est pas un buffet. Il manque à cet hôtel un accueil à la hauteur pour un 4 étoiles, mais pour le reste c'est top, donc je suis prêt à y retourner.

Finalmente, el hotel dispone de parking, que es una ventaja suplementaria debido a su situación muy céntrica.
- P (8/5): Good stay - It was a good stay with professional services. Great location and facilities. The only negative is how they are very strict on moving the car out of garage by 2 pm even though the check in time for the next guests are 3 pm.

- Katerina (10/5): Great boutique hotel with amazing restaurant - I stayed at the hotel one night. It's located very close to the cathedral and the Toulouse Museum. There is no lobby at the hotel. The entrance and reception is located right at the restaurant. The absence of lobby is compensated by the amazing room, great staff and delicious restaurant. I stayed in room 7 (I think). The room was spacious with trendy decor overlooking the city hall. It was very comfortable! In the morning I was welcomed by the great smile of the morning staff. After my morning run, I decided to have breakfast in the room and delicious breakfast with tasty coffee was delivered to my room. Additional pleasant touch was that all beverages in the room were included. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who is visiting Albi. I also recommend the restaurant for dinner. The lamb was delicious! All the small touches, frendly staff and great location make this hotel the perfect choice!
