- 639KellyD (10/5): Only spot to stay in Miami with 5 star service - This is our 2nd time at Surfside. We love the location as it is away from the fray of South Beach and has all the elegance and level of service one hopes at a Four Seasons. It is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous common areas. Multiple pools and spots to eat through out the day. If you plan to eat at the adjoining restaurant Surf Club make a reservation. They are not part of the Four Seasons in that you can expect a table as a guest and you are not able to charge to the room. The bar there is very small and we did not have luck getting a bar seat or table. The service there was a bit rude unlike the Four Seasons. You get what you pay for here. Shout out to Sophie Gaitch who quickly rectified an issue with house keeping. It was so refreshing to not have to ask for amazing service or an apology - it was swiftly rectified. So rare these days. We will be back anytime we are in Miami.

In a city known for its energy and crowds, this property offers a private, tranquil pocket that feels like a world away—yet remains close enough to explore everything the area has to offer. The hotel's size is ideal if you prefer an elevated exclusive feel. With under 80 rooms, the property never feels crowded. There's always plenty of space at the pool or on the beach, creating an uncrowded atmosphere. The five-star service here ranks among my top three hotel experiences in the last year. Starting the day with breakfast service at Lido is a genuine delight, and the staff—particularly Patch at the front desk, who is so sweet—make every interaction feel warm and personal. Between the two on-site restaurants, I highly recommend The Surf Club for dinner—it's exceptional.

Sunday Brunch at Lido $125 doesn’t come with basic coffee, tea, or orange juice. They want you to pay extra. Money is not the problem here. It’s that a 5 star luxury hotel no longer understands what basic dining etiquette means. Your brunch should include something as basic as “basic coffee/tea”. This is a lack in decency and basic dining etiquette. Charge a higher brunch fee and include the basic coffee/tea if you must but asking to nickel and dime on top for some basic coffee is just cheap. Also didn’t enjoy the experience of sitting in a dark drafty room throughout the whole brunch; and there were barely any pastries. 2 out of 5 for overall dining experience.
- eat-sleep-be-happy (10/5): Fabulous! - Without a doubt, this is the most elegant, the classiest and most refined hotel in all of Miami. It is exclusive, it is super expensive and it is exquisite. The property doesn’t boast timeless elegance, it exudes it. The refinement doesn’t feel manufactured. It feels natural and intrinsic. The walls and the pillars speak to you and tell you about the history of the building and the property at large. My gushing above extends to the staff, the food, the bar and all the amenities of this hotel. The Michelin starred restaurant Thomas Keller is a little disappointing (see separate review). Otherwise, out of the many four seasons hotels, this one stands out as among the best of the best.

- fabfinds (8/5): First time not giving it 5 stars - So overall this is an exquisite hotel. I have been three times. But this last time was the first time I would not give it 5 stars. Small things but just lacking in the same polished service as it used to offer. Food prices are outrag3eous. For 3 people it was nearly $200 for breakfast and the breakfast was truly mediocre. I could try to justify it if it was really wonderful but it was not. It is SUPER pricey and I don't mind spending the money which I do often but I need to feel like I am getting what I paid for.

We usually stay at Faena, but this time we decided to make a change and stayed at the Four Seasons Surfside. The hotel is very new and beautiful, the rooms are very spacious, and its design is quite relaxing. The restaurants and food were very good. The staff were very attentive. I think the fact that it was not overly crowded was definitely an advantage.

The Lido restaurant was amazing and the team at the pool welcoming and nice. This was not the hotel's fault, but the amount of seaweed in the ocean mostly prevented us from enjoying the beach.

- Elegantease (6/5): Thomas Keller restaurant atmosphere great, food just ok - Got an early Saturday reservation, had to sit at cocktail table in bar. Table way too small for 3 people having dinner. Live music lovely and staff very attentive. I think I expected too much of the food bc of the ratings of this place. But my palet left disappointed. The fresh bread and butter delish as is complimentary crudite. The Fois Grois appetizer was $48, small and not as good as many we have had. Cherries didn’t really pair well with it. The candied bacon tasted more like baked ham, two tiny pieces for $22. The Beef Wellington is a nice presentation, again lacking flavor and $160 for 2 people. Rib eye was delish, but $120 for small trimmed piece. The fettuccine Alfredo with truffle was ok. New York cheesecake was tiny and not true NY style and consistency. For $700 for 3 with no alcohol left thinking it was not worth the $. Sorry to all of you Keller devotees.

- 2021221972 (10/5): Its expensive, but worth every penny!! - Without a doubt the best FS experience we have ever had and the most expensive. The building itself is so full of character and in such a wonderful area of surfside. Rooms are well appointed with all the mod cons and the most comfortable FS beds ever. Service on point pre stay, stay and post stay and exceeded all of our expectations. The area is not the cheapest area to frequent, and we were taken aback from some of the ridiculous pricing. However if you buy a ticket..... The main dining room area and bar is simply breathtaking with a wonderful service team. Simply exquisite!!!

- GoldnAdvice (10/5): Thomas Keller Does It Right - This review is for the Restaurant The Sur Club. Being a huge fan of Thomas Keller, I wanted to try this restaurant in The Four Seasons Hotel . We were greeted immediately and escorted to our table. We did not like the location of the table, it was a booth . We requested a table with 4 chairs. They immediately took us to another table which was much nicer. The maitre D immediately came, introduced himself and they gave us the menu. We Sommelier was very knowledgable. We started off with Champagne and then moved on to an amazing wine, which was recommended to us. We tried a lot of appetizers family style, to sample as much as we can. I can honestly say each one was better than the other, the fois gras was the top winner. As an entree I split the Dover sole, which was excellent. The bottom line is this restaurant has delicious food, without foreign and weird ingredients. Everything was done to perfection. the service was not stuffy but very professional. I can't wait to go back. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

Four Seasons what makes your hotel a stand out is people like Augustine who went over and above to help me . He helped me retrieve an old gift certificate, then helped me to secure a reservation at the Lido on a busy Saturday night. How nice it was during the evening when he took the time to come over and introduce himself and make sure that everything was perfect. Augustine you are a class act and a spectacular representative to the Four Seasons. I must also add that the Maitre d ( from Sardinia) was excellent, making sure of our comfort, and making sure all expectations were met which they certainly were, the Lido is exceptional and I would definitely recommend it over the Thomas Keller restaurant in the hotel which does not offer the incredible and friendly customer service that the Lido does The food also is exceptional and wait staff outstanding

Activity coordinator and receptionist Mala ma'am entertained all the members and their children daily through interesting programmes.Restaurant manager Sarwnan took special care of the food.

The beach is a very short walk. The pool menu is wonderful and the food is fabulous. All the lobby appointments are stunning. The 2 shops are unique. If you want more Bal Harbour Shops are 5 minutes away. Fabulous! My only disappointment was for $2800/night my room was city facing, across from a service elevator and why does the bathroom have a single sink? However , room is lovely, plenty of storage and bed is amazingly comfortable. We will definitely be back to this glamorous resort. Before I end. The restaurants on property are OUT OF THIS WORLD

It's classy, tasteful and an awesome place to stay. I travel a good deal for business and decided to splurge for an end of summer beach trip. I wasn't expecting to find such a place. The food, service, room, beach, pool and employees were just excellent. You don't find this type of hotel property very often. The food is just excellent! The atmosphere is so relaxed, and the service is just impeccable. They even had a gentleman with white gloves on opening the door for guests going from the lobby to the outdoor areas! Talk about elegant! Again, do yourself a favor and go to this property.

At this day the price was the most expensive due to dynamic pricemaking. So I’ve paid the most but have got the least. 2. I was overcharged for breakfast for 3 days:I had to pay for the dishes that were over-salted: avocado toast and omelette. Its incredible because during check out in nobody from staff has heard me 3. Ive checked out at 11th of August. Today is 15th but Four Seasons has charged twice additional fee after check out. The last one was today when Im in Fisher Island Club 4. Im disappointed because of all these things, Ive never thought that FS team could be the worst instead being the best. You have to pay attention to this hotel and their policy - they are killing your loyal customers and reputation.

- sarah19931213 (10/5): Amazing team!! - My recent stay at Surf Club was spectacular. Yes, the grounds are immaculate, the hotel beautifully decorated, and the rooms well appointed. However, what made our stay so incredible was the Surf Club team. The staff here embodies luxury hospitality as it should be- refined and anticipatory while still warm and genuine. The team’s pride for their craft was palpable in our interactions with them. Be it at the front desk, in the restaurant, or at the pool, each member of the team truly showed us that they cared. Congratulations to the Surf Club team for reminding us what hospitality looks like at its highest level.

The staff are amazing and the food delicious at all the restaurants. Honestly you never have to leave the hotel. Everything needed for a perfect trip is right there. The special details too were so lovely. The room and view breathtaking. Loved it here

From front desk/housekeeping( turndown/runner of the night)/room in dinning/ cleansers that took out the stain on my best friends white Jacket!! / pool area!/ door bell men/ wine area helped us open up our wine bottle/ would definitely come back again! Everyone is so nice & informed ! Just want to throw a shout out to the following people who served my best friend and I ! - Collin (1/5): Bad - "My stay at this hotel was marred by an unpleasant incident. On the third day of my stay, as I returned late at night, I was denied access to my room due to a payment error with my credit card. Not only was this very stressful, but I was also treated with a lack of consideration that does not align with the level of customer service expected in such a establishment. Fortunately a friend of mine, lend me her credit cart, without her, I should have splet in the lobby ! This attitude goes against their own values, which state that one should treat others as they would like to be treated. Despite the politeness of the staff, this incident left a bitter taste and tarnished my overall experience. I hope that the management will take steps to prevent such situations from happening again in the future." It was clearly a fault from their part they tried to debit almost 27000 E ( see picture)
- 0mila (6/5): Don’t book during a wedding or event - It’s unfortunately common amongst the Four Seasons hotels nationally. Once there’s a wedding or big event, the quality and attention to detail goes down. It was obvious. We also did not get tended to when we went to enjoy the beach. I asked for vegan options/accommodations and was completely ignored. When requesting simple things like ice or toilet paper, it took over an hour to receive. I’m allergic to dust and had an awful first night because there was dust everywhere. I was up sneezing all night. Thankfully when requesting allergy medicine, they sent benadryl. Regardless, it only made me drowsy. I had to run out the next day and grab allergy medicine When I decide to book with any Four Seasons hotel, I expect significantly better.
- Passenger46452669409 (2/5): Goons providing service - Service and hospitality very poor. Yesterday I had a meeting at the Lido restaurant and in the middle of our drink they informed us that the restaurant and hotel is closed for an event. They kicked us out to the hotel lobby. Then a security goon came to the hotel lobby to kick us out of there as well. Then we went to the condo lobby and two other security guards, likely trained in prisons, were about to physically remove us. I live a block away, spend a lot of money in this hotel, and was meeting with a high-end hotelier who is an expert on service. I couldn’t believe that this was the four seasons Surfside. I will not be coming there again.

Everything was the way it should be and even more: the hotel design is fantastic (the way the architects combined the old historical part of the property with the new one is a masterpiece), perfect location, excellent service, wonderful spa, great food for dinner, great setting of the Champaign bar. Nothing to complain

- Bostonbeach (10/5): Great high-end hotel on the beach - Great high-end experience, typical of Four Seasons. We appreciated the welcoming glass of champagne after our trip. Our large, quiet room was on a high floor with a balcony looking toward the waterway and Miami beyond. Ultra-clean! We sat in the lobby just to absorb the history of the place. Our dinner at the Surf Club was delicious and perfect, the cherry on the top of our stay. Hotel is close to Bal Harbor for fun shopping (real or window). Everyone we encountered was great. Overall, a relaxing and luxurious stay! This is more of a heads up: getting to the beach involves going through a locked gate (take your key!) and crossing a public path (we saw very few people on the path). Team at the beach was great!

The morning sunrise over the calm crashing waves of the Atlantic can not be topped. Thomas Kellers on site restaurant, Surf Club is divine from food to the decor. Highly recommend a stay at the four seasons if anything I stayed above may be your cup of tea.

- Evan (10/5): Excellence at it’s finest. - This FourSeasons is relatively new, second in Miami. The Location is superb, right on the beach, overlooking the ocean. The team and service- excellent. Have not failed to remain my personal favourite on that point as well. The room is beautifully designed, calm sense of comfort with many technology smart devices to save time if needed ordering room service or other service they provide. Happy me and well done 4S<3
- Verified traveler (2/5): - If $500 dinners (for two) and $200 breakfasts is your thing, then this place is for you. I honestly don't mind paying $500 for a dinner, but it has to be amazing or life-changing! $26 for a coke is the straw that broke the camel's back (in this case, my back). The hotel is very nice and the staff is very friendly. If you have kids, you will be limited to the family pool which happens to be in a shaded area and happens to be extremely windy... all the time. Family pool sits in some sort of valley (bad engineering) where it acts like a wind tunnel and is just to uncomfortable if you have a baby. I honestly was expecting a better overall experience. This hotel is probably wonderful if you're ultra wealthy and have no kids. Not for me and my family.
