• Sink (3/5): I would never stay here again. It’s way too expensive for what you get. - It was close enough to where I needed to walk to. The front desk was kind enough to change my room away from the loud busy street where there were protestors. The price for what you get is out rages. There should be complimentary breakfast for $300 a night. Free coffee and a coupon for dinner. Prices are high. Rooms are tiny.

• Beat (3/5): Sehr schlecht, kein Schlaf, für einen Geschäftsaufenthalt völlig ungeeignet. - Die Lage ist sehr gut nahe Kongresszentrum, Metro und Sehrnswürdigkeiten. Freies WiFi auch gut und Dachterrasse, die ich nicht gesehen habe, soll schön sein. Alles, was an einem Hotel wichtig ist. der Raum ist super-klein und eng, es hat nicht einmal einen Schrank. Das Bett ist miserabel, die Umgebung sehr laut. Ich konnte keine Nacht schlafen, zumal von der Metro die ganze Nacht Musik läuft und die Strasse mit viel Polizeieinsatz aussergewöhnlich lärmig ist. gut gelegen heisst auch nicht gute Umgebung: sehr viele Bettler am Boden vor dem Hotel. Feedbackanfrage nach zwei Tagen von einer amerikanischen Nummer ohne dass klar war, ob das jemand vom Hotel war. Keine Reaktion auf Feedback oder Anfrage nach anderem Zimmer. Zum Arbeiten völlig ungeeignet, höchstens auf dem Bett. Air Condition bläst direkt aufs Bett. Und das beste zum Schluss: der max. 10m2-Raum kostete USD 550 pro Nacht (!!). Ich würde nie mehr dorthin gehen.
• Ildiko (8/5): It was a convenient and very clean hotel in a somewhat mixed neighborhood, but where close to everything. - It’s location because it was close to where the rest of my family live. Otherwise, it is a scary neighborhood with massive police presence. The toilette in the bathroom had a very sluggish flow of water and I had to flush several times.

• Shawnee (8/5): Overall, would stay again - Great value. Nice rooftop bar. Lovely staff. One minor thing was I think one day my linens were changed with a dirty duvet with a large obvious coffee stain (stains happen) but also it smelled faintly of cigarette smoke. Accidents happen, just tried not to think about it. Next day, the changed linens were fresh and pristine.

• lisa (9/5): A great hotel in an ideal DC location, - Great central location to sights and trains. Bed very comfortable and staff friendly. Rooftop bar great and used both nights. Sadly a very unfriendly server for breakfast eatery who made us feel we were putting her out asking for coffee and pastries. In hindsight would have gone to cafe next door!

• Andrew (8/5): Great location, rooms compact but comfortable, great bars and restaurant. - Great location in Chinatown, next to a Walgreens and lots of eateries, opposite Metro so direct to two airports, close to National Portrait Gallery, Crimson Bar in the basement is like a huge speakeasy - fab! Plus rooftop bar. Rooms are small but have all the essentials.

Good service from check in desk (relocated us to a quieter floor, as we were originally under the rooftop bar and had arrived from a long int'l flight). Room was smaller than expected (knew it would be small but it was very small!). For this reason we would probably seek out a different hotel if returning to DC.

Cuma akşamı rooftop da yüksek sesli müzikli eğlence vardı. Tüm müzik sesi odadaydı. Odada zaten kulak tıkaçları var bunun için. Tıkaçları takınca anca uyuyabildim. Ancak müzik sesi çok rahatsız ediciydi.

• Samantha (5/5): Meh... - It was within walkable distance of everything in downtown Washington DC, also very close to Capital One arena The pictures of the rooms are deceiving, the single bed fills up the entire room, there is nowhere to move, my husband and I were tripping over our suitcases the entire weekend. Also there is nowhere to park outside the hotel to check in or bring your luggage in because we parked outside the hotel and street cameras charged us a $100 traffic ticket

• 850leyrer (10/5): Good hotel to stay in - The hotel is small but very comfortable. The service is great. Lizeth and Sofia assisted me and they were very nice at all times. The location is perfect, in Chinatown, were you have a lot of options to eat nearby and also a metro station. The hotel has a restaurant and they do happy hour! The rooms are very nice with everything that you need. I highly recommend this place if you come to DC!

There was a small issue with my room when I checked in, but Sofia at reception arranged a new one for me without any hesitation. Amazing staff and a fantastic environment! Issues can happen, but what’s important is being in safe hands with people who listen. I give them a 10 out of 10. Best location!

The room was very small however that was advertised so it was the expectation.
• L3759PAaarons (2/5): Unsafe Hotel - Guest Entered Room in Middle of Night While We Were Sleeping - I stayed at the Motto by Hilton Washington DC City Center from March 13–15, 2026 and experienced a serious security failure that completely ruined the stay. Around 1:00 a.m. on March 14, a man entered our room while my partner and I were asleep. The door had been closed and locked. He insisted the room was his and remained inside arguing with me for several minutes before finally leaving. This was a frightening and unacceptable situation. My partner was extremely shaken and unable to sleep for the rest of the night. We reported the incident immediately, yet no security came to the room, there was no follow-up that night, and it was not addressed at checkout. Hilton later suggested the door may not have been fully secured, which does not reflect what occurred. They offered minimal compensation and closed the case without taking meaningful responsibility. A guest being able to enter an occupied room in the middle of the night should never happen. Based on both the incident and how it was handled, I would not recommend staying at this property.

Staff was very friendly especially the host behind the counter, Lizeth. The room is small but for one person it’s very doable since you’ll be outside exploring most of the day.
