• 445vincep (10/5): Great Stay! - We stayed at Ten North for 7 days in mid November. The location of the hotel is very good as you have easy access to the beach and the restaurants. It is a small hotel (16 rooms I believe) with very friendly and helpful staff. The staff will help you arrange your airport transfers and any tours you may want to go on. The rooms are a good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was very good and freshly made for you each morning by Laura. There is a small supermarket right across the street and a farmers market right next to the hotel on Saturdays. There is a skate/basketball park right next to the hotel so it can be noisy at night (till about 9) if you have a room on that side of the hotel. I would stay here again.

• Aimee (8/5): - This was a great stay. Very convenient location to groceries across the street, multiple dining options and a short walk to the beach. Breakfast was different every day and cooked to perfection. It was so good that I would have felt guilty not tipping the cook - I think her name was Lara. My only suggestion would be to have a comfy couch instead of a 3rd bed in the seating/ family room area. It was a little awkward, our family of 4 gathered on a bed to watch our Netflix shows at night before bed but we made it work.

• ciarabomford (10/5): Great budget option - A great budget option in Tamarindo All the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and modern. Central location. Peaceful courtyard with a pool, tables and chairs, and some cushions to lounge on. Breakfast nice, but a bit pricey (the most expensive we had in 3 weeks in Costa Rica, Tamarindo is expensive). The upstairs rooms don't have a balcony, downstairs have own seats by pool, so go for a downstairs room if you can. Loads of towels provided. Free coffee.

• Amanda (10/5): - The A/C worked really well and the rooms were perfect for our family of four. The shower worked great. Our favorite part was waking up in the morning to the patio table set for breakfast and a delicious, fresh meal made as soon as we came out. Our girls enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed that we could watch them from under the fan on our patio. This was a great spot with easy walking to restaurants and the beach too!

It’s just off the busy street and the beach is a quick walk away. Grocery store, yoga/pilates, skate park, amazing coffee and more is just steps away. Rooms are great. Highly recommend.
• Stacey (10/5): Definitely recommend for a personal authentic stay - We really enjoyed our stay. We are a family of four and we had the two bedroom apartment off the pool. The rooms have a rustic tropical vibe that is minimalist and clean. We did not try to cook so I can’t speak to those supplies. Linens were comfortable. Bathroom was pretty spacious actually for a small rental. Air conditioner worked well and the temperature was always comfortable. Pool was wonderful - kept quite clean and never too busy. We had a patio off the pool with a large spacious table and bench. We had the breakfast included option and it did not disappoint! They wait for you to wake up and come outside to the patio, where they’ve already set your table. The breakfasts were so good - cooked on the spot and lots of local traditional foods with local fruits and fresh smoothies. Definitely recommend! The hotel is on the small side, which gives it a very personal feel. It was like our own little private oasis in the heart of the town. Very walkable. A small group of staff were very kind and professional and helped whenever you needed anything. I would definitely stay again. Wifi is spotty, fyi

• corrinef2019 (10/5): Great choose for families in a central location - Great place. Awesome location centrally located in the middle of town. Friendly staff - really felt like we were at home. The pool is beautiful too. Simple but clean and functional rooms. We loved having the pool just steps from the door to our room. Great breakfasts included too. Only downside was some noise - mostly at night from the park just behind the hotel. The rooms had noise machines, which helped a bit.
• 712jessiej (10/5): Lovely Hotel - We stayed with our teenage daughter in a 2 bedroom apartment and had a fantastic time. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff is lovely and very helpful. We especially appreciated the delicious breakfast each morning. The location is really great. The hotel is right in the middle of town, close to 2 of our favorite restaurants (Breaking Bread & Green Papaya), and an easy walk to the beach. I was worried about noise from town but once you walk onto the grounds the hotel feels secluded and we didn't hear anything. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

• J1717G (10/5): Great stay - A home away from home. My wife and I had the queen poolside room while the kids had the poolside apartment. It worked out great. The rooms were comfortable as a result of the AC and the overhead fan. The dining table and chairs provided a relaxing spot for morning coffee and breakfast. The pool was clean and refreshing. Having the ice maker and water dispenser at our disposal was fantastic. But the best part of the stay was the staff. We were treated kindly at all times. Laura was a sweetheart with a warm smile. She made us a delicious breakfast every morning and had the coffee ready early. Thank you Laura!!

The included breakfast in the morning was amazing, probably the best included breakfast of anywhere I have ever stayed. The hotel is right outside from the supermarket which was awesome and super close to the center of Tamarindo. 10/10, we will be back!
• amandalangbroek1 (10/5): Felt like a second home in Tamarindo - I adored my time at Ten North. The room was clean, cozy and the perfect size with everything I needed for week long stay. I was travelling solo and felt very welcomed, safe and taken care of here. Breakfast was made and served with care by Laura and her team every morning. The food was always fresh, hot and delicious. If you’re there on a Saturday there is a fabulous Farmer’s Market from 9-2 beside Ten North that was a wonderful place to get fruit, veggies, art, jewelry and more. If you’re a light sleeper bring ear plugs as the birds like to sing early in the morning. I look forward to staying here again.
• Carolin (10/5): - A quiet oasis in the middle of busy Tamarindo. Everyone is so friendly and helpful there. We had the two bedroom unit with the pullout couch in the living room. The pool is a nice reprieve from the heat. We would definitely stay again.
• Victor (10/5): - We got an upstairs unit with mini-kitchen and fridge. It was nice to be above the bottom floor pool level since the lower floor rooms' patio opens right up to the pool area. Hotel is conveniently located. All the tour group buses pickup/dropoff conveniently from this hotel. Unfortunately, the front gate to the driveway is always closed so you have to manually push the large gate open/close every time you come in out of the property. Hard to do if you are elderly in age.
• Meredith (10/5): - There is a reason this hotel is so highly reviewed. I traveled with my family and the staff, including Juan and Laura, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Unlike other travelers, we had no problem with the noise. The location is only a few min walk to the beach and next to restaurants and supermarkets. We highly recommend the breakfast at the hotel, it’s well worth it and the coffee is excellent. Looking forward to our next visit!

• Alexandra (6/5): you get what you pay for - Disclaimer: review written by a high maintenance traveler I stay in a variety of hotels, ranging from budget to luxury. This hotel had great reviews for the price but I have to say it let me down. The pool area/breakfast make it to the 3 star level, but the rooms to me were 2 star hotel level. Starting with the positives: 1. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and responsive 2. The rooms and property were clean 3. Air conditioning in rooms is great 4. Good location 5. Hotel set up driver (nacho) for me to and from the airport who who was great 6. I did not have breakfast at the property but heard good things Negatives for me: 1. There were ants and some other type of bugs/spiders in my room. It wasn’t a huge deal and they weren’t anything crazy, but it was every day. 2. I would’ve preferred the doors to have some sort of dead bolt. Gate was not locked at 6 pm as stated, although they do have a security guard at night on site. 3. This is not the hotels fault, just the town is loud and the skatepark next door can be loud. Although, the hotel provides a sound machine which is a nice touch. I did have to fall asleep with headphones. 4. I did not think the bedding was comfortable (but again, you get what you pay for, I didn’t expect much more) 5. 2 out of the 4 nights i stayed I had cold showers Overall, I wish I would’ve just spent more money and enjoyed my stay elsewhere. But if you’re a budget traveler and don’t mind those things, this place is great.

• 9wesh (10/5): 4th Trip to stay here - Wonderful experience. I have stayed here 4 times it is always wonderful. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Great staff and great facilities. Its a smaller hotel about 2 blocks from the beach and they always treat me like family.
• Jeanie (8/5): - There was a lot of construction going on so it was kind of hard to walk on the street in front but I think they were headed towards being finished and had laid down gravel a few days before we left which was nice. Really great location, next to the weekend farmer's market, close to an excellent bakery Breaking Bread, and pretty easy walk through town to get to the beach. Rooms could be updated and location of A/C splits could be changed so that hot air isn't blowing on the patio area as it made it hard to get the temperature comfortable for both rooms. and the main room wasn't cooled by the A/C in the bedroom -Made it hard to sit outside and at the only table. Bathrooms could be updated but beds were comfy, rooms were spacious, pool was nice and people working were very helpful, kind and friendly.

• NL (10/5): Perfect Hotel - Ten North is a great location, quieter off the main strip but still very easily walkable to the bars and restaurants. Supermarket across the road is very convenient. Easily walkable to the beach with boards for a surf! Staff were lovely and so friendly. We would definitely recommend and stay here again if we come back!

• sarahcY4746VX (10/5): Great location, breakfast & comfy rooms - I took a last-minute trip with a friend, and we stayed in the smallest & most affordable room. We highly recommend Ten North! I don't know which was better: the breakfast (Laura is an excellent cook), price, location or pool! I brought two floats from home, but they supplied two noodles. The pool was refreshing and clean. The trees provided great shade and I spent hours reading in the pool or on our patio. On Saturday I even floated listening to the music from the delightful Farmer's Market (on the other side of the hotel). Our room was wonderfully air-conditioned and the bed was comfy. The noise machine was a nice touch; noise from Friday & Saturday nightlife didn't bother us. There were plenty of drawers to unpack and we utilized the mini fridge. Pool and bathroom towels were switched out daily. Breakfasts were A++ and different daily. They kept us happy & full enough that we ate lightly for lunch. Laura was ready to serve up breakfast between 7-9 daily and we looked forward to it! The location of Ten North is great- walkable to everything. The construction, though, was not great, since you had to really watch where you stepped and avoid hazards- but, I noticed that many roads nearby had issues. Lastly, the little grocery store is steps away and on the 5th floor above it was an excellent pizza place on the roof with the best sunset views- make sure to go before the sunset, order a drink & get a pizza! All in all, I loved this hotel and will be back!

• Angela (8/5): - Overall, this property is very nice. The staff was great and the accommodations were exactly what we needed. My favorite part was getting greeted by a beautiful calico cat at the gate entrance. This hotel is right next to where the Saturday farmers market is located which was great. There are only a handful of parking spots in the hotel and if none are available you have to park on the street which was very sketchy at night time. Also, there is a huge situation nearby with crows. They all gather by trees next to hotel in the evening and the noise they make can be very annoying, especially at 5am.

The kitchenette was perfect for a few days stay and my kiddos loved going out to the pool first thing in the morning before walking to the beach. I would absolutely recommend!

Short walk to beautiful beach with low cost umbrella & chair daily rental. Great food in most restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Morning coffee free and good hot breakfast available at reasonable extra cost. All staff were very friendly and accommodating.

• Par-Ola (8/5): Unfortunate incident - Nice stay. Very nice lady at reception. Only 2 things - shower was not very strong nor warm and not the hotels fault - but the street was under construction and it literally collapsed into a hole under the wheel of the car when we got out of the parking which damaged the car - enough we couldn’t get out without multiple men lifting the car back out. .
• DayTrip376549 (10/5): Great hotel in the perfect location and reasonably priced - This was such a quaint hotel in the perfect location within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the sweet lady (I didn’t get her name) would cook delicious breakfast for us every morning with amazing tropical freshly made juice and the coffee was delicious as well! She was friendly and made you feel at home

• Bryan (10/5): - Based right in the heart of Tamarindo. Ten North was the perfect spot to be to hit up all the shops and amazing restaurants. We walked everywhere and when we woke up Saturday morning there was an amazing farmers market right outside the hotel where we grabbed some morning treats and local artwork. Thanks Ten North! We would stay here again in the future, good bang for your buck! Signed a New Yorker.
• Katie (10/5): - The hotel was quite comfortable. The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff was kind ,attentive and helpful. The pool was small but it served its purpose. The breakfast was delicious for a small price.

• Kim (6/5): - Location is very central and staff was really sweet. Unfortunately they suggested I pay for an upgrade to an apartment if I wanted quiet sleep. At 9pm the music starts and increases with extra deep bass (earplugs couldnt block) until well past 1 am. I was promised the next night would be better since it would be Sunday. It was louder still. Loved the service people here and the central location, but didn't like the music beat or proximity to loud nightime skate park (next door). Too bad I can only give it average because the staff was so nice.
