• Learner (9/5): - We enjoyed staying at this quirky guest house. We were warmly met by the friendly owner and had plenty of space to hang out for the day we were there, waiting to catch a shuttle to Belize City. I say quirky because in our mini apartment, there was a bed in the kitchen ( as well as our bed in the bedroom), and there is an old US school bus in the garden. But it felt quirky rather than derelict. It's a 5min taxi ride to the bus terminal in town or a 20-minute walk. We chose the Taxi option. It's also close to a good bakery, and you can see the supermarket from the hammocks in the garden. There is a fabulous restaurant called Hambre which is a 20 min walk. There was nothing we didn't like, but this place will not appeal to everyone. It feels local, and maybe a little dated, but it was spacious, safe, and clean, and everything we needed.

Place wasn't fancy, but was clean, had coffee & supplies of sugar creamer to get us going the next morning. There is a great little bakery at the other end of the street. Liked that our car was in a lockup yard for the evening. Road outside was a busy and a touch noisy. If the old broken down school bus was removed it would improve first impressions. Hubby says he felt like he was sleeping in a container.

• Olimpia (3/5): Don't recommend staying here - I liked the warm water. That was about it. I don't recommend staying here. The owner was standoffish and impolite. They didn't charge my card when the app said they would. I was to stay a second time and canceled because I wasn't happy with the 1st stay. The gate used a bike lock which was annoying to have to close every time. The bed only came with a very thin sheet, no blanket. When I canceled they asked me to provide a local bank number for my refund which was ridiculous because I don't live there. Then when I asked for cash, apparently I had to bring a receipt as if people walk around with receipt books. The owner was extremely rude. I would never go back.

• Alena (5/5): - K dispozici byl barel s pitnou vodou, káva a cukr. Komunikace s přítomným mladíkem byla v pohodě. Ocenili jsme teplou vodu v koupelně. Nelíbil se nám poměr ceny a kvality ubytování. Jsme zvyklí hodně cestovat a bydlet v nejrůznějších typech ubytování po všech kontinentech, takže nechápeme výši ceny za toto ubytování. Vše působilo značně opotřebovaně .Pokoj byl velmi stísněný . Koupelna není samostatná místnost, ale je oddělena jen poloviční zděnou přepážkou a závěsem... rozhodně žádné soukromí. Zařízení je velmi skromné, chybí úložné prostory, takže jsme zavazadla měli celou dobu na zemi okolo postele. Měli jsme objednané 2 pokoje...jeden měl jen ledničku a druhý měl jen sporák. Když si někdo objedná jen 1 pokoj musí volit mezi sporákem a ledničkou.Trochu nám to nedávalo smysl. Místo na malou ledničku je v obou pokojích a namísto velkého sporáku by do obou pokojů stačil malý dvou vařič.Ve vstupních dveřích nebyla žádná síť, takže jsme museli volit mezi komáry nebo zavřenými veřmi. Myslíme si, že majitel by mohl investovat pár dolarů do nákupu venkovního nábytku a nahradit roztrhané vyřazené sedačky z autobusu, které jsou po celé zahradě.

Chris cut down coconuts, and we drank fresh coconut milk and also showed us the plants he was growing in the yard. He picked bananas for us to enjoy. He was thoughtful, and we noticed he was a great problem-solver for all the guests' queries. Marta stopped in after her workday and always had time for a visit and had great suggestions for things we might like to do. We would love to come back again 🫠

From there, you can walk on a pedestrian path all the way to the bus station. Nothing really. I didn't expect it to be too fancy neither, but it met all my expectations.

• Darron (6/5): Pleasant - Kitchen facilities were great. Hammock and chairs outside to use.. Owner arrived later to make sure we were OK which was nice. Short walk to store, ATM and bakery. Arrived at 3pm as arranged but staff were asleep and after shouting for 10 minutes a neighbour came over and screamed to finally wake the guy. Informed that the credit card we used didn't go through and were told we couldn't use the room till we went to the ATM and got cash out and paid upfront The room was small and crazy hot. We had a fan but didn't really help. Not really the fault of the guesthouse but no air in the room so was terribly stuffy. WiFi was slow.
• Constance (10/5): This guest house is extremely clean, safe, and the personal service is the best of Belize - I have been living in Belize almost 18 years and I wish I had found this place earlier on our needed trips to Belmopan. It is conveniently located close to UB and just off of East Ring Road, just two blocks east of Brodies. There is a combi that passes in front of the place every 20 minutes and will carry you to the bus terminal for $2 BZD. There are shops and restaurants all around within walking distance. I rented a non a/c room and it was very comfortable and clean and breeze was fine with the windows open, even though it was a record-breaking heat day. This place has a communal kitchen. The service here is excellent. The on premise manager, Chris attended to any need that I had. The room itself has a mini kitchen in front with water, dishes/utensils, a mini fridge with a separate freezer, a toaster oven, and a 4 cup coffee maker. The bedroom area has a tv with internet connection, a lamp, lots of hanging space (hangars provided) and it was very clean and well lit with a full body mirror. I particularly liked the bathroom sink because it was big enough for me to hand wash my laundry each night. . This guest house is also fenced and very secure. I will definitely return and carry my sweet hubby with me next time because he will enjoy this place. I can't think of anything that could have been better. The owners tried to upgrade me to a higher room for free because of a slight technical problem and I assured them that I was happy just in the room that I had and loved the personal service.

I had to pay a small fee to be upgraded to a room with AC. Apparently the expedia-selection options cannot distinguish rooms with or withour AC, I was told. Room was nice and clean, good and stable Wifi!

• Dušan (9/5): Superb - We arrived later than we had announced, but the host accommodated us nonetheless. The property is comfortable and safe; the shared kitchen is fully furnished. There is a shortcut to the main bus station that is not visible in Google Maps.
• Nicola (8/5): Quite and clean stay with nice hosts. - We just stayed overnight. The small apartment was well equipped and clean, staff friendly and helpful. Place is remote in a quit neighbourhood, but a supermarket, restaurant, ATM and Bakery are around the corner. Belmopan itself is unfortunately not a city that is worth a visit if you don‘t have a good reason. We just stayed for a night inbetween two bus rides, and therefore the location of the guesthouse was a bit too far from the „centre“ of the town.
