Guest Reviews
- Derek (10/5): Fantastic experience - Spacious very comfortable, host friendly and helpful Elevator was small
- Julieanne (10/5): - Borghese suite was fantastic, so close to the beautiful borghese gardens and to the centre of Rome.
The room was very big, the bathroom very new, great hot water pressure. Our host Marco was amazing, most helpful and a great communicator.
- Chiara (10/5): - Ottima location molto centrale. Camera molto pulita. Ci tornerò sicuramente
- Elisa (10/5): -
- Nicholas (10/5): - The property location was perfect, and Marco is an amazing host. It’s close to the centre and to the subway. I’ll be back one day for sure.
- Alina Valentina (10/5): - A perfect stay! The host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Great breakfast and a very welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a place that pays attention to the little details, this is it. Thank you for everything! -
- Luca (10/5): - Location top Niente
Pulizia sempre ottima e staff molto attento.
- Regie (6/5): Marco was extremely nice and helpful. The location was very good and the room met our needs. - The location was in a quiet neighborhood across the street from a school. Access to the room was a little bit difficult, several flights of stairs or a very small elevator.
- Forcella (10/5): Weekend romano TOP! Niente. Tutto perfetto.
- Michele (10/5): Lovely staying in a beautiful place! - The room was enormous therefore very spacious, all is brand new and very comfortable, Marco the owner is exceptional in his presence, assistance and always reachable in case of need, The location is great!
- Carmine (10/5): 3 Days - We had a wonderful stay at the Borghese Executive suite. Room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was a definite upgrade. Location was very in a nice quiet neighborhood and close to major attractions. Marco was a great host. He offered several suggestions on places to go and was kind enough to reserve a taxi for our trip back to the airport. Highly recommend !
- Ivan (10/5): - Great accomodation and great host! 😃
- Marko (10/5): Great and convenient place - Marco was incredibly helpful and friendly. It’s very close to a beautiful park and is easy to get to other areas of the city. Very convenient.
- Katja (10/5): -
- David (8/5): Goos setup - Marco was great host!! Good location to Borghese Villa park and some of the attractions. Across from a school or academy with choir music in evening which was a good fit for the Rome experience.
More of a AIR BNB experience, I did like the little kitchen area and access to fridge freezer (that part was super clean well kept and stocked). AC worked great and hardly needed even with it being 38c.
- Innocent (6/5): - Bra läge till Termini och parken
- Michael (6/5): - Though the property is clean and the amenities modern, it is difficult to initially access the 4th floor apartments. It takes coordination with the owner via phone to get in, and it is not clear its location in the 5 story building.
- Ana (10/5): Excellent stay for the price; nice, quiet and upscale location. We like to walk so that was not an issue. - It was a very clean room and a little larger than other rooms in Europe. It is a bedroom and private bath within a rental unit on the 4th floor of a palazzo. Marco was an excellent host and went out of his way to remain in communication with us. Nothing.
- Mikko (10/5): All things went well! - Marco was very nice and helpful host. Quiet and nice neighborhood. Location was not very near metro station
Rekommenderar!
- 154wisamf (4/5): Don't advice for couples - The check in was very bad the Host said that I must wait until he reach in 30 min in a very bad way
The cleaning is very bad they don't change the bed items
- Ivana (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Rome!!! - Great location close to the major attractions in walking distance bit in quiet and lovely area.
Spacious,clean and tidy room.Excellent breakfast!
Marco was the best host ever, very helpful and giving us great recommendations
for our perfect stay in Rome.Thank You :-)
- Galina (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was really great. It is excellent option of staying in Rome for this money! I recommend this hotel for all who are looking for a nice quiet place not far from centre.
- Hagai (10/5): Good location. Spacious clean rooms. Amazing service. - Small hotel with only 6 rooms (a plus in my book). Rooms were clean and spacious. 5 minutes walk fol Villa Borghese gardens. But above all stood Marco the owner who went above and beyond to help us. As we had to come to Rome because of a family emergency (hospital stay etc), he comped us a second room for the night, found free parking on the street for us, put another bed in the room for no extra charge, offered to upgrade us and when we couldn’t find a taxi - He jumped on his scooter and combed the streets until he got one for us. Amazing and inspiring service which every 5 star hotel should aspire to.
- Geula (6/5): - Loud building. No Wi-Fi and difficult stairs with suitcases.
- Lisa (10/5): First visit to Rome by - Marco is a wonderful host, the apartments are close to a beautiful greenspace in the middle of Rome with a beautiful hidden gem of a museum and zoo The area is quiet and safe. Restaurants are plentiful and the food is sublime. Close to all the beautiful sites Rome has to offer without the noisy street night life. Loved it, would stay here again.
- massimo (8/5): - Tutto bene tranne la colazione
- Martinson (10/5): Super guest room in a residential neighborhood with great host. - The space was incredibly comfortable and very modern. It was fabulous being in the middle of a residential neighborhood with a grocery a few steps away. It is quite a distance from all the tourist locations so we spent a lot on taxis.
- Waldemar (10/5): Very Great Stay - Location of the apartment is really great. Quiet place, comfortable sleep and very nice breakfast. A host provides really excellent service, support and advice pre- during and post- stay. We felt taken care of us all the time! It was really a material part of the overall great experience in Rome!
- Sebastian (10/5): - Alles sehr gut !
- Garyfalia (9/5): Comfortable and cosy! - Very clean and large room and bathroom. Big widows and nice view. Amazing host who tries to please the guests. Breakfast was not bad but could be better.
- Vladimír (10/5): Exceptional - Very cozy and comfortable appartment near Borghese park in a quiet area. Next to appartment is a supermarket. Marco was incredibly friendly and helpful. He has taken care of us every day. Very late check in after midnight was not a problem. We will come soon again.
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and big rooms, comfortable and clean. Great pillows! Nice breakfast available in the morning. Just missed a big mirror :)
- Abderahman (10/5): Outstanding - Excellent and responsive host. Central location. Very clean room. Great breakfast. Coffee and soft drinks are available all day long. Nothing
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional - The host Marco is simply amazing. He cares about his guests' experience, and is always available and ready to help. He knows his city and he knows how to treat guests.
The units have recently been refurbished. They are clean and spacious and well lit. I'm very picky about pillows and linens - you can tell that Marco feels the same way:)
There is a convenient shared kitchen with a large fridge. The neighborhood is safe and easy to navigate with a grocery store 50 meters away and several restaurants within walking distance. 10/10 I will definitely bring my family here again.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - In fact, his experience was very good. The reception was fantastic. Continue the staff is excellent. The official was always communicating with me and asked me if you need any service. Thats what I love really. Thank you.
- jojJ6613NZ (10/5): Perfect mini-break - Lovely large and stylish room, recently renovated with comfortable beds and pillows. Continental breakfast provided.
Marco was super helpful, he even helped us to organise a covid test for a green pass for one of our children. Highly recommended.
- Roberta (10/5): - Camere ampie , nuove , ben pulite e con tutti i confort
- Esther (4/5): Sconsigliabile - Cosa vi aspetereste di trovare in un B&B chiamato Borghese EXCECUTIVE SUITES? Dimenticatelo.
Rimarreste completamente delusi.
Stanza di basso livello. Mobili cheap e gestore dell’unità arrogante.
Totalmente da sconsigliare.
- Virginie (8/5): - Bon rapport qualité prix. Le popriétaire est serviable et très disponible. Bonne attitude.
- Boglarka (10/5): - This is a lovely place situated in a nice and quiet neighborhood, right next to Villa Borghese Park, and walking distance from the main sights of downtown Rome (and that walk goes right through the park itself!). Our room was modern, clean, styled with a really good taste, and also the en-suite bathroom was just perfect. Marco, the host took really good care of us from the first moment we arrived to the city - we could contact him anytime during our stay and he reacted immediately. I really recommend this hidden gem and will definitely return!
- Michele (8/5): Michele - Un buon soggiorno... Peccato x il parcheggio auto.
- johnnyroma123 (10/5): Love Rome! - What a great place! Perfectly located. 20 minute walking distance to everything I wanted to see (ancient Rome, Termini train station, Villa Borghese park, etc) Grocery store 2 minutes down the street. The neighborhood is enchanting. Bar/cafes, shopping, and restaurants are all reachable with a short walk. I was originally going to stay 3 nights, but due to extensive flooding in Venice/northern Italy I stayed 7 nights. Marco was friendly and helpful. He was able to accommodate my extra days. Price was a great value. My bed, linens, and pillows were very comfortable. My room had a nice bathtub that came in handy for soaking after some long days of walking. Not sure if every room has a tub. Room was very clean, and had great character. It was cleaned everyday. I loved the community room that had a full fridge, microwave, sink, plates, cups, and table/chair seating. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if in Rome! Graize Marco!!!
- John (10/5): - I saw this property on an older Rick Steves episode, so I figured I would try it out.

- Ricardo (6/5): - Owner said we could check in a lite earlier, but when we got he wasn’t around to open the building door, sonwe had to wait for one hour. The elevator wasnt working at night, I had to use the stair with my two kids and a baby. The apartments are nice, have potential, but they need to be refurbished. There’s a really bad smell at the bathroom, the ceiling is bad, the walls are dirty, beds are not confortable.
- ULPA (10/5): Wonderful Location - Great location, in local area... but walkable to many of the tourist sites
- Chirag (10/5): Lovely place, great host! - Stayed here for a week long business trip. Marco was incredibly helpful in arranging taxis and late night check in. He checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay. Nice room, comfortable bed and kept clean daily. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Owner accommodated for a late arrival (after 11pm) when my plane was arrived, which was nice.
Wifi did not work in my room (the one pictured). Owner moved me to another room for my last night where the wifi worked.
This accommodation was ideal for business trip
- david (10/5): Nice stay - Area nice with choice of food venues, Wi-Fi good,
- jgmlowe (2/5): Terrible and Rude management - my husband was working and our baby and myself came along. The shower didnt work for the first 3 days, and my husband couldnt take a shower before his meetings..when we called to ask for assistance we were made to feel like WE were a burden. The manager and handyman came to our room very annoyed and was very rude. We were made to feel bad for asking to get our shower fixed.. This guy should NOT BE IN HOSPITALITY.
- Simha (6/5): - This is a guest house, no an hotel. Difficulty to get a service, need to call the receptionist by the phone. no breakfast, no parking. poor WiFi, No check-in after 2100.
- Jose (8/5): Great Place. Great Price. - Booked this place last minute bc the price was right. I didn't get a chance to really look into the location but it was fine - although I would have preferred a little closer to Trastevere (just a preference). The girl who checked us in was super friendly and accommodating. The room was a nice size and everything worked. You'd totally miss the entrance if you don't really pay attention but that was my fault for expecting a big obvious sign :)
- 237angelicav (10/5): Dream of a gift - If you are on vacation or business, looking for a quiet neighborhood near sites, bus stops or walking distance to shopping and the VIla Borghese Gardens, if you just want a place to sleep after working or touring all day? This is a place to go. Security is tops for entrance and for your rooms with real keys. There is a grocery store is about two doors down;bus stops, restaurants and boutique shops are around the corner. I strongly recommend this hotel. A separate room with snacks, coffee/tea and take out food brought here to eat is provided for guests.
- Angelica (10/5): Gift of a Dream - We arrived very late but Marco the owner came to open the doors for us and showed around the premises. He made sure he was available to us and the staff as well. Daily the rooms were cleaned well and the snack room was stocked with cookies, coffees and teas. The neighborhood is a residential and business area and you would not know the hotel was in the area. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean, the heater worked great. We walked to the bus stops or around areas of the city.Taxis were available when needed. Veronica was very helpful to explain about places and recommended various places in Rome. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again.
- Sheila (10/5): Perfect - Lovely place to stay: owners very helpful: great area, right next to the villa borghese which has a lovely park; perfect to unwind after a busy day sightseeing. There is a small kitchen area where you can make a cuppa, and there's a supermarket right next door where you can buy croissants etc.
Spotlessly clean: and was cleaned every day, we stayed for 5 nights and had a great time
Would stay there again
- sheilanewton123 (10/5): Perfect base to visit Rome - We stayed here in March for 5 nights on our first visit to Rome. The rooms are spotlessly clean, staff are lovely and very helpful. It is a perfect base to visit Rome : right next to the Borghese Villa and gardens which is lovely place to unwind after a busy day sightseeing. There is a small kitchen area where you can make coffee, and there is a supermarket right next to the apartments.
Would definetly stay again
- drorp (8/5): Good place to put your head in Rome - We stayed here for one night only and it was perfect for us. It was clean, quiet, in a good neighborhood and good location. you have to contact the staff in order to meet them (they are not there all the time- there is no reception) but they are always happy to help quickly and with a smile. We love the idea of communicating with the staff via whatsapp! Wi-Fi was fast and free.
- zarahb2014 (8/5): Perfect! - Everything you need when you are doing a city trip in Rome!
Everyday you can fill in a paper about what you would like for breakfast (for free). There is free tea, coffee available at the reception to take to the room(you have a boiler in each room) . The bathroom is very nice, clean and looks new like the room. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the floor is wood so no carpets :).
There is not always someone at the reception but if they are present they are always friendly and ready to help you!
We had only one problem and it was .. Mosquitos. But that is not the hotel's fault.
In the morning it can be a bit noisy from outside but it didnt bother us cause we always woke up anyway around 8:30. In the night it was very quiet.
You have a television and some programmes you can change the audio from italian into english.
The hotel is 20 min walking from Termini station where you can take any bus/tram/train. There are also a few bus stops 2 streets from the hotel.
A great small hotel for couples, young travellers...etc
- siomikas (8/5): Value for money - Stayed for 3 nights. Nice room, with comfortable bed and bathroom, also very clean. It is quite in a good location - only 20 minutes on foot from Termini and 30 minutes on foot from main Rome tourist attractions so we even did not used any public transport. The hotel is in quit and calm area.
- mariaaT3361CL (10/5): romantic and chic - For our honey-moon it was the perfect room and hotel to stay in. Romantic room, gorgeous bathroom with Hermes amenities, and perfect service. Loved it. The breakfast room was incredible and the breakfast was the best i ever had.
- MartaPP (8/5): A night in Rome - Nice, clean, spacious bathroom, in the center, 200 m from bus stop, friendly staff, Parking in front of the hotel in the street, we were there on Sunday so it was for free, otherwise the charge is 1e per day.
- M2430AImichaels (8/5): Good Spacious Room... - In a good area, around 15 mins from villa Borghese and 25 mins from Barberini metro. The biggest flaw is the lack of fridge in the room. However, there's a good supermarket four doors away. While we were there (22-25 July 2014) there was some construction going on near by, with very loud drilling starting at 8:30 in the morning!
- is0bellep (10/5): Amazing Stay in Rome - We stayed here from the 27th December to the 1st of January 2014 the guest house is fantastic very friendly when we arrived, booked the taxi transfer through the hotel the driver was courteous and on time. The place is clean tidy and has WIFI access, They gave us useful info when we arrived and a map of the key tourist attractions and couldn't have been more helpful.
You are left to your own devices and rooms are cleaned every day when you go out in a morning.
The location is ideal in walking distance of most major attractions and near the Villa Borghese Park which was fantastic we even visited the zoo! or there is a bus stop close by if preferred. Breakfast isn't available but there is a supermarket 2 minutes walk away.
I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting Rome, we hope to return soon! Thank you for a fantastic holiday
- Mauro_Italiano (10/5): A peaceful stay in the heart of Rome! - We had an amazing stay at Villa Borghese Resort, thanks to the competence of its staff; they have been always available for infos and suggestions, even via-Whatsup. Rooms are tiny but confortable and cleen, and the location is fantastic (next to the wonderful Villa Borghese park).
- PeppermintFrog (10/5): Excellent stay! - The rooms are very clean, tidy, modern and stylish. We stayed here with our daughter who is one year old and the staff were very accommodating. There is a kitchen you can use (microwave, fridge, plates, glasses and cutlery). Location is great and walking distance to most places. There are bus stops all around the neighbourhood. There is even a supermarket just 50 meters from the hotel in case you need anything. Marika and Danielle are absolutely lovely! Their English is very good and they are extremely helpful. What wonderful, young and energetic people running this crazy busy business! All the best of luck to the super adorable couple!
The only possible downside is that there is no hotel/guesthouse sign outside the building. Apparently Italy has some crazy laws for that. So, just look up building number 15 and you should see the name on the buzzer.
Would definitely recommend staying here!
- mikefA1208GA (8/5): Excellent value in Rome - We stayed here 5 nights in February, 2013. The property is clean, well maintained and the management lovely. There is no real breakfast served but there is a coffee machine and packaged croissants available in the break room for half a euro. However, the great price more than makes up for the lack of food.
my only complaint is that the windows are not sound proof and street noise does come in. However, we did not need earplugs to sleep.
There is not always someone from management around so be prepared to act like you have an apartment in Rome, not a room in a hotel.
- cocoa_mo (8/5): Quiet, residential hotel near Villa Borghese Park- good value for money. - We stayed at the Villa Borghese Resort in May, and we enjoyed our stay overall. The room looks exactly like the pictures, and is big considering typical rooms in Europe and central Rome. We even had an extra bed in our room, although we didn’t ask for it. Clean and modern- good deal for the price. We found the location to be particularly convenient for those who want to stay away from the loud, touristy part of central Rome but still be close enough for convenience. We were 10-15 minutes away by bus from all the major sites and even walked home once when we needed to digest a big meal. The staff was helpful and friendly, although not everyone spoke English. We managed to communicate what we needed without any problems. The breakfast left something to be desired, and there is absolutely nothing “resort” about this place- it’s more like staying in a private residence. However, we would stay again on a future trip!
Note: if you are staying here, there is not a big sign outside the building just a marker on the doorbell- especially hard to see at night from a cab. ;)
