- Julie (6/5): - This hotel is clean and the room was small but well organized. There is a closet with shelves but no where to hang clothes. The biggest drawback was the location. The hotel is right next to the train station so you need to be a really sound sleeper in order to stay here because the sound of trains breaking is a very high pitched sound of metal scraping against metal.
- William (4/5): - The location was fine. Not too far from train station and I could walk to many restaurants.
- Sean (8/5): - I never did check out the laundry set up but it was located really close to everything and anything. Especially the station which was relieving. The room was clean, a bit tight for two adults but we managed. I did fix the tv in there, it somehow never got plugged in but it was an easy fix. And y’all are quick to respond to questions which was relieving when I got waylaid on the way there.

We booked this last minute and had good response from the team for a convenient check in. Train noises stop at night so we slept fine. This might be a problem for light sleepers as the trains are loud at 5am.
- Ania (6/5): - The apartment is quite small but clean and they managed to use every spot. Thankfully the windows are thick! The noise from the trains below is constant and a lot. With the windows closed only hear a few really loud ones. There needs to be some hooks in the shower as there is nowhere to hang a towel. The location is aprox 10 min walk to train station and convenient to town centre
- Cathy (6/5): Never again - No fresh air in room. Couldn’t open windows d/t 3/4 trains per hour and construction workers using jack hammer. Safe at night but very dark walk from train station. Couldn’t drain bathroom sink . Tower fan is a joke, more air from blowing out a candle. Didn’t know about turning on main switch. When person came over didn’t give me time to answer door. Just barged in.

- Iyad (2/5): Horrible experience - Toilet no room to use. Everything falling apart - door handle and drapes coming off. Bed doesn’t fit 2 people. They also had a towel for 1 person and I asked housekeeping and she said that I have to request it online which means they would deliver the following day. How are they advertising 2 people but have towels for only 1 person? No hand soap. Had to use dish soap to wash my hands. Absolutely horrible. The check in code didn’t work when we got there and waited 1 hour outside the door to get the new code emailed to me. They said it was a glitch in their system. Overall hotels.com should not offer this terrible hotel /apartment. Also the trains pass every 30 seconds and can’t sleep with the noise. It is literally on the train track.

- michalgY4373ZI (2/5): ⚠️ Serious Warning – One of the Worst Stays in My Travel History - ⚠️ Serious Warning – One of the Worst Stays in My Travel History I stayed at Vision Apartments from June 4th to 26th for a business trip. After traveling extensively through Colombia, Indonesia, Dubai, and more, I can confidently say this was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. 1. Unsafe and unacceptable access issues After two weeks of my stay, my door access code suddenly stopped working. I spent over an hour dealing with customer support, repeating my problem to several agents. Eventually, a technician arrived and opened the door with a master key — but informed me the lock wouldn’t be repaired until tomorrow. And he didn’t give me master key not either new code that would works . Therefore I have to stayed whole night at the room and not go outside because if I left the room it must remain open as I had no key and no working code to re-open a door. FYI all door have this door locker which code you must put in to open the door. His exact words were: “Take your belongings with you when leaving the room, because you have to keep the door open when going out.” This is craziness!!! I was on a 3-week business trip, so carrying all my belongings wasn’t realistic. I was forced to stay inside overnight, as the only option was to leave the door physically open or take everything with me — both completely unsafe and unprofessional solutions. To make matters worse, there is no reception or on-site support. Based on my experience, I believe this is intentional — they clearly don’t want guests to have direct contact with staff, knowing how poor the service is. If there were a reception, people would beat the out probably. This level of negligence and avoidance makes Vision Apartments feel more like a scam than a legitimate hotel. 2. The same issue repeated again Just three days later, the exact same problem happened again: the new code stopped working with no explanation. I contacted support, had to repeat my entire story again to someone new, and a technician was eventually sent — again late at night. I was once again trapped inside the room overnight, unable to come or go freely as the door has to remain open. 3. Chaotic customer support Each time I called, I spoke with a different person who had no idea about my case. Support felt completely unorganized and untrained. No one took ownership or responsibility, and no real solution was ever offered. 4. High price, zero accountability I paid 4,200 CHF for this stay. Despite all the stress, security issues, and repeated failures, the company refused to offer a refund or any compensation. Their only response: “Payment is non-refundable.” Being trapped in a small, overheated, noisy room without the ability to secure or freely access it caused immense psychological stress. I felt completely powerless and unsupported 6. Misleading room quality The room was much smaller than what was shown online. There was no air conditioning, and the heat made it unbearable during the summer. Opening the window wasn’t an option either, as trains pass by constantly, making sleep nearly impossible. The online photos are clearly deceptive. ❗Conclusion Vision Apartments is not a legitimate hospitality provider. They mislead customers, ignore serious issues, and provide no direct help. The entire operation feels dishonest and unsafe. I will be reporting this to relevant tourism and consumer protection authorities — and I strongly recommend avoiding Vision Apartments at all costs.

- Robert (2/5): Avoid Vision Switzerland - Our room was situated above the train tracks. We heard trains all day and night. The room was so hot we couldn't close the window to block the sound.
- Kylie (4/5): - We were in the corner of the apartment and it was so hot (no AC). It was so loud even with the windows closed from the trains. We wanted to keep the window open though because it was so hot in the room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not the greatest experience - Pros: Staff was responsive to emails. Room was clean. Cons: The info provided on hotels.com states that (1) customers would receive a secure link to upload ID for check-in, but I didn't receive the link until I emailed a week prior to my arrival date; (2) customers can receive special access instructions if checking in outside of regular check-in hours, but I didn't receive any special access instructions even after a few inquiries. The email stated that I would receive the access code the day of my arrival. At 9:30 a.m. on the day of my arrival, I still had not received any access code. So I had to email to follow up. They responded within 3 hours but there was no mention of checking in at irregular hours. So I waited until the regular check-in hours. A few items (shower head holder, kitchenette faucet, sound bar anchor) were not securely attached. The welcome guide in the room suggests customers to email them, so I did so that I wouldn't be held responsible in case anything happened. It also asked us to check against their inventory list, but I didn't see the inventory list until after I emailed. There was no/poor AC/ventilation. The room was so warm that we had to open the window to sleep. But because it was so close to the train station and there was a train every 3-4 minutes, we eventually had to close the window. But the room was so hot with the window closed, meaning we couldn't sleep one way or the other. Room was small but we were aware and could handle that.

- Vincent (8/5): - It was convenient as a last minute booking. Very close to the tram stop. Has accessibility lift for luggage going up the stairs, and lifts. Can get a bit noisy during the late afternoon and night, many people out in the corridors, but otherwise value for money. The staff wouldn't give us the full room we booked at the start but they managed to fix the problem in the end. There were broken hooks on some of the beds and had limited coat hangers.

When we tried to leave, we tried everything to get the door to close behind us, but the door could actually be pushed open without even turning the knob. With no way to leave, we had to call and inform the staff, who told us to just wait in the room for someone to come fix it. Of course, we don’t want to waste our day sitting in their broken apartment waiting on a repair worker, so we asked to have our room changed instead, and they said they’d email us, which took almost 45 minutes while we sat in the room without any AC. We tried to crack a window, which then wouldn’t close afterwards despite our best efforts. Other notes on the general shoddiness include: All the electric sockets are on the wall crooked and in completely random position, the walls are scuffed, the bed sheets were stained and so were the towels. The shower curtain fell down in the room we were moved to. There wasn’t any kind of soap in the shower at all, so don’t expect amenities. There’s a coffee maker but no coffee or tea. And we couldn’t get a refund despite the horrible conditions! It’s also in a grungier part of Lucerne, surrounded by construction and worn down buildings, when most of Lucerne is genuinely gorgeous. I would rank it as marginally better than sleeping outside, but I wouldn’t recommend it!

- Amber (2/5): - Our stay at VisionApartments was horrible. Our room was right above a busy train line and due to it being so hot outside, we needed to keep the window open for airflow. It was impossible to sleep between the loud noise and heat. Check in was not clear and we had to have Expedia contact them to get an email address to get the access code. There was water provided in our fridge, however the water wasn’t sealed so had been used and refilled. Expedia tried to contact the property to cancel our second night due to how awful the conditions were to sleep and they refused. Do not stay here.

Room is extremely small, even though I was quite used to the small rooms in Japan, this was a whole other level. Very hot in the summer. Would not stay again, not enjoyable. Not even close to the 7.0 rating that it has on Expedia. Stay away if you want a great time at Luzerne

But when you traveled from another country and have been awake for 24 hours and check in to find a bed with a wet feces/vomit stain and have nobody there on the premises to get you a new room or new pillows, sheets, and a blanket. Not good. I literally slept in my clothes, using a bath towel as a pillow after I took the filthy linen off the bed and flipped the mattress. They provided me with new linen the next morning and the place was small and nice. That was just an absolutely horrible first impression to make on a tired traveler just looking to have a comfortable sleep. They gave me a small care package the next day which was nice but I would have much preferred an unsoiled bed when I checked in.

- Nicholas (4/5): - Do not stay here in the hotter months- room was basically a sauna. When I reached out about the giant air unit in the room not working they responded by saying they gave us a fan. If you try and open the windows to let some air you will let bugs in that area attached to the streetlight right outside the window. Check in process also took over a half hour just to get a code for the room and you will get rudely kicked out of your room at exactly 10am the day of check out- I do not recommend this property to anyone
- H6837OYelizabethk (2/5): Not as advertised in photos & unsuitable design for a studio - Please be aware this room is not as advertised in the photos. We stayed in a mini studio apartment which was smaller than that shown in the photos attached to that specific apartment on booking.com, and it did not contain the furniture shown (there was no table, no chairs, and the only storage available for possessions was one small cupboard for storage). This apartment does not function well as a studio; we found self catering difficult for two reasons. Firstly there is no free surface for food preparation or eating, and no chairs to sit on. Secondly the small fridge was not cold enough to safely store any food (for context the chocolate we placed inside it melted). We notified staff promptly, but they did not help to rectify this. Finally this apartment is poorly designed for any temperatures above 20C. There are two windows on the same wall which are locked so they can only opened a small amount; as such you can't generate a breeze. The bathroom has no ventilation so it's incredibly humid. The building is designed with air con installed but for whatever reason it's deactivated in the rooms; with temperatures above 30C it was very difficult to rest or sleep, and sadly the staff declined to help with this problem. I can imagine a situation where one person staying in this apartment during low temperature weather and only eating out might find it suitable, however in any other situation I would strongly advise against staying here.

- LuzernerHans (2/5): Charged two rooms instead of just one. - Was forced to pay two rooms. One in the booking and additionally on arrival day. Reimburse was not possible because of their policies. For me just a cheek. Wil never ever book again. Cusomer support is a joke.
- Giulia (8/5): Overall good - Very nice and clean room. The room was in perfect conditions and all the appliances were new. The service offered was a little poor but at the end all went well.
- Odyssey531403 (8/5): September in Lucerne - Very clean and modern but also very small and cramped. We stayed in a triple room and couldnt comfortably store our suitcases or clothes. The railway line runs very close to our hotel room but if the window is closed, it is easy to sleep, might be a problem in summertime because the air conditioning is not very cool. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

- Avinash (2/5): VERY TINY ROOM , NO WIFI , RUDE RECEPTION STAFF. - This property was one of the worst experience in whole of Switzerland. DON'T go by the photos put out by them on any website. The rooms are very VERY TINY. THEY DONT HAVE WIFI. There is literally NO space in the room to keep any luggage or to move around. Its a jam packed room with just a bed.YOU CANT MAKE ANY CALLS OVER WIFI. Although this property lists WIFI in amenities while making reservation but in actual its a pathetic low bandwidth internet good for nothing. On complaining about this, the reception tries to over smart you by showing you a google pop up page. There is NO MICROWAVE in this whole property. The reception staff is very rude and hopeless with a disrespectful attitude. There is NO VIEW from this hotel. Dont spoil your vacation dealing with all this non sense. There are many more decent accommodations in Luzern much nearer to the city center.

Very small, so small that we couldn’t open our bags on the floor. The room had a kettle but no cups or tea or coffee? No fridge. Everything in Lucerne is very expensive for Australians. For example 4 medium McDonald’s meals cost us over $60!!!! A 500ml bottle of coke was $8 AUD. Anyway the hotel Fox was on the cheaper side of available accommodation in Lucerne and a bonus was we got our own bathroom which a lot of other places didn’t offer.
- Leanne (8/5): Great for a short holiday - The hotel is located very close to city center; it is an easy 15 minute walk. The hotel itself is very nice, with great amenities. The rooms are a bit small, but cozy. It’s located near the railroad tracks, which can be a bit noisy, so we appreciated the ear plugs they provided.
- pete (8/5): Good Value, We liked it. - More modern hotel, affordable, and not far from tourist area. About a 5 min. walk to the train station and 5 min. more to the tourist area. You can stay down there, but pay 3x as much. The room was not overly big, but was clean, modern, friendly staff. Building and room well kept up.
- Diego (8/5): Good hotel small bathroom. - Good hotel with good attention from reception. The rooms and clean and comfortable but the bathroom is bad iluminated and the shower is extremely small. Location is good, a small walk leads you to the center and the river. Parking is available. The train lines run near the hotel but in our room we didn't notice any noise from trains.
- Erica (10/5): - Hotel Fox is conveniently located, just a 6-7 minute walk from the Lucerne train station. Hotel staff was super nice and friendly. The hotel is also a short walk from old town and the main tourist area. The hotel is charming, modern and clean. The area is very safe, with fun bars and restaurants on the same street. The bathroom was newly renovated. The only issue was the room and bathroom size were a little small. However, I’m Europe things tend to be a bit smaller so take this with a grain of salt. We were overlooking the train tracks, and heard nothing. The room was very quiet. There is also free WI-FI. Could not find any stations in English despite the 200 television channels they claim to have. We stayed here late September 2018. All in all, we were quite happy with the accommodations.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant 1 night stay - Pleasant stay at this hotel. A little bit outside of town — 20 min walk — but they also gave us free public transport tickets to use during our stay. Hotel was next to train tracks and ear plugs were provided, but they weren’t necessary as we did not find the area too loud even with our window facing the tracks. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not much in the very near vicinity of the hotel but it was definitely a good price point considering how expensive Lucerne is.
- Chesa (4/5): Not a good place for honeymooners - I already told them that we are going on our honeymoon and they did not even extend a room that is atleast a double. Instead they gave us 2 single beds in a room so small. Hardly any space to move. We were aware of the noise but we didn't expect it to be that bad that you'd actually use the ear plugs they provide. On our first day they didnt even bother to clean the room well enough. Used glasses were not cleaned nor changed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean hotel - Hotel is clean and conveniently located. We were able to walk to a majority of Lucerne sights within 10-15 minutes, including train station. Hotel was comfortable, floors are granite, so you know you’re not on dirty carpet, bathroom and shower stall was a little on the small side. No key cards, they have codes to enter each room, as well as the hotel when not staffed with front desk staff (9P-7A or so). Overall worth what they charge. Parking garage is tiny, so make sure you get an appropriately sized rental car if you are driving to & from Lucerne

- Verified traveler (4/5): Not what I expected - The room is right next to the train station. Literally could jump out the window on top of the train. And the shower was basically at the foot of the bed. So discretion is out the window. You can lay in bed and watch someone shower with a see thru door.

- Cathy (4/5): So noisy at night - Our hotel room was facing the train station with contruction work at night time. It was so noisy and was hard to sleep. The hotel did provide ear plug and we closed to window and turned the air con, but it was still hard to sleep with the noise. The shower head was broken and the room was small.

- Crystal (8/5): Noisy, but great location - The only negative thing we had to say about this hotel was the noise that came from the train station across the street. The weather was much warmer than we'd expected, so we had to sleep with the window open since there was no air conditioning. The trains ran all night and were very noisy, so it was hard to sleep. Otherwise, the location was great. It was about a 10 minute walk to the city center. The staff was also very friendly and the room was clean and very cute. Would stay here again in winter if the window could be shut, but would not stay in summer unless they upgraded to air conditioning so that the window could be shut.

- icegk (8/5): New and modern hotel - Hotel is new and modern. 10 to 15 mins walk from the train station and once you manage to find your way the first time, it will be easy. Complimentary public transport and wifi card were given to us which was a delight to us. Room was a bit small but we don't stay in the room that much as Switzerland is such a beautiful country to explore. Cleanliness was great and fan was provided in the room which was useful as we visited during summer. The hotel staff was very helpful whenever I require assistance. The only downside is that the sound from the train tracks nearby were quite noisy especially at night.
- tsvetih (2/5): Terrible hygiene! - We were not satysfied with the cleanliness of our room which was rather dusty and off-putting. The worst part was the bathroom which was in a nearly hazardous state. I honestly doubt that it was ever cleaned since the tiles were covered in pink mildew as well as fungus! The condition of it was so discusting, me and my partner did not take the risk to shower. Gladly we stayed just for 1 night. To top it off, the staff was rude as they did not consider it necessary greeting us at any point of our stay. Early in the morning they were slamming doors right next to us and were being quite obnoxious. We DO NOT recommend this hotel for your stay in Lucerne and will definitely not stay there again on our next visit to this beautiful city.

Also by your window you can see the railroads and all day you hear the trains. You have to walk about 25 minutes from train station and you don’t find anything nice clise the hitel. I will not recommend it and will necer stay again...
- Sharkhunter2010 (8/5): The top floor suite was nice - The hotel is located a short walk from the train station, about 10-15 minutes. The staff was very nice and you receive a transportation pass for busses and trams for the length of your stay (I already has a swiss pass so I didn't need it). The room was clean and if the weather had been nicer, a balcony with table and chairs would have been a great place to relax and the end of the day. Bed was comfortable, but the bathroom a bit cramped, as is common in Europe. The cleaning crew did not leave toilet paper so that was a bit of hassle to go the front desk for, and be aware the desk is not staffed after 9 pm. With the Lucerne festival in full swing, the rate for the night was the best I could find for 3 star or better lodging. The suite also had multiple plugs for charging devices which was a nice touch. Television was small and located far from the bed, so if you need to have that for entertainment and don't speak much German, that is not a great option for you. For exploring it was an easy walk to old town, or to bus stops if that is how you wish to move about.

- DiegoM721 (6/5): Good service - For a 1 day stay was ok. Walking distance to central station ~10 min. Room was cean and had a good bed. Its beside the rail tracks, so despite the soundproof windows you still feel and hear the noise. They provide earplugs to help. The problem is the bathrom. Very poor designed. If they had put 10cm more in the bathroom it would be ok. The hotel is new, so it looks clean. But the choice of colors and decoration was a little bit poor. For the price, I think the cost benefit was good.

- Jason (10/5): Solo trip - Solid hotel. Staff is great and accommodating. Room was of good size. Bathroom was small but manageable. Beds were comfy. Provided luggage storage and plug in adapters and free water. It is nearby train tracks so they do constantly go. They provide ear plugs but if you’re an easy sleeper, or sleep in a city, it’ll be nothing new with noise. If you are a light sleeper, use the ear plugs but I didn’t mind the noise. It’s a solid hotel and would stay again. Walking distance to everything.

- Terry (8/5): Very pleasant stay - We had a good stay a the Fox. Reception was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is new so is in good condition with good wifi. It is a 1km walk to the main sights like the covered bridge, but is a pleasant walk. Despite being near the railway, the noise was not an issue. We would stay here again.
- Sanjay (6/5): Modern clean hotel next to train station - Ok guys, I stayed here with my wife for 3 nights. Pros- Newish build, clean, safe, modern decor and furnishings, great view from our balcony on 6th floor. Cons- Room has no storage/ cupboards, cannot speak to reception as there is no telephone in room, the toilet is very small. But the most glaring issue is that this hotel is right next to Lucern station. So you will hear the trains screeching to a halt when they arrive at the station.

Most of my time was spent outdoor. I only needed a safe room to sleep. This hotel met my expectations. 15 min walk to the Chapel Bridge.

You do get a pass to ride the transit for free. This was lovely and about a 5 minute walk to the stop, that took you right to the train station I would recommend this hotel

- Celia (8/5): Hotel Fox Family Vacation Stay - Hotel was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was its location; the hotel was immediately next to the train tracks that were very loud when the windows were open. Otherwise location was relatively close to train station and restaurants.
- Aerin (6/5): - The hotel is a 5 minute cab ride and about a 12 min brisk walk from the train station. The hotel itself is modern, but it's not conveniently located. In fact, it is directly next to the train tracks, with trains running until midnight every day. The facility is clean and the staff was wonderful. They were very helpful with my questions, helping with my wifi, arranging for a cab, and contacting an excursion company that cancelled on me. The down side is that there is no air conditioning (yes, there's a small fan on the night stand). If you're there in the summer that is a problem, because it's so loud with the windows open from the train. Also, if you're there on a Sunday or Monday know that it will be very difficult to find food anywhere in the area. You will have to walk back into town if you want to eat. I was fine with the distance at first - it's really not that far...but when you've been hiking all day and your legs are killing you, walking that extra way back to your hotel is just not desirable. Otherwise - clean, modern, great staff.

Close to the train station and most points of tourist interest are within walking distance. Rooms are small and parking is limited, but overall does the job, given the reasonable price.

The rooms are compact and bijou and it’s close to the main station but seemed to be well sound proofed. Parking is limited around the hotel and it only has a small car park

Though the room is a bit small, it has a nice balcony where we can have a nice dinner there.The staff is very nice and helpful. The room uses password lock instead of key so it is convenient that we do not need to return the key to the reception as it does not open 24 hrs.

- Laura (4/5): Family Room - too hot - The family room was spacious and clean, but it was uncomfortably hot because the air circulating system was not working. The 2 portable fans in the room could not cool the room down. We notified the front desk and they claimed that they had it fixed. It was not fixed.
- JESIN (2/5): Summer terrible stay for family - No air condition, two furnished fan but one was't use due to short wire and no plug in at near door bed. narrow room area for 3 or 4 beds. reception was closed between 9 pm to 7 am. too noisy at open window because no A/C.
