The constant noise and dust flying around from the building site that was the hotel made it impossible to relax when there.

- Andrew (8/5): Position in China Town - Quite a long walk to the Old town along blocked, non-existant or poorly maintained pavements, but located in a quiet cul-de-sac away from traffic. Old style concrete construction allows noise to travel extensively. Good pair of silicon ear plugs are advised for light sleepers.

Finalement, nous l’avons trouvé : The Malika. Il est idéalement situé : proche de la vieille ville. Il est calme : aucun bruit de la circulation, au contraire, on profite du chant des oiseaux. La chambre est bien insonorisée et la literie et confortable. Les matériaux sont de qualité et la décoration marie le moderne et l’ancien, les teintes rappellent la vieille ville. Le personnel est discret et attentionné ( lors de notre première sortie de l’hôtel pour visiter la ville, on nous a proposé des parapluies ;) il y a également des vélos à disposition). Bref, une perle à Phuket town…

The location is a little tucked out of the way, but this means it is nice and quiet. I was there for just one night and so walked into the old town (15 minutes away) to look around the shops and for something to eat.

- Paul (8/5): Great affordable accomodation - Nice quiet hotel, clean bathroom, big comfy bed and all the necessities. Great street food not far away. The only exception was with the ants crawling across the floor, but I would still stay again.

The hotel itself seems like managed by family business, hence they really care on what’s going on. Great service, friendly staff, and most important great value for your money. We stayed at the 5 stars hotel prior to this stay, and honestly I enjoy more this hotel than that 5 stars hotel in patong beach. Great Location that allows you to weekend market in the weekend.

- HANA (10/5): - 가성비 너무 좋아요 초등학생 1명 포함 총 3명이 묵었더니 엑스트라베드가 미리 준비되어 있어서 감사했습니다 (따로 신청하지 않았음) 시설이 정말 깔끔하고 좋았어요 수영장은 1.5m로 깊은편이고 생각보다 크구요. 일단 호텔이 너무 이쁘고 한적하고 좋더라구요. 푸켓타운까지 걸어서 15분정도로갈수있는 거리이나 호텔에서 운영하는 툭툭이를 이용하셔도 되고 저희처럼 렌트 하시면 전혀 불편함 없이 다닐 수 있더라구요. 푸켓타운 곳곳에 도로 주차할 수 있는곳 많아서 걱정했는데 다행히 잘 다녔습니다. 3층에 묵었는데 엘리베이터가 없어서 아쉽지만 괜찮았어요. 망고나 젤리 등 방에 두었다가 개미테러 당했는데 애초부터 들고 들어오지 않는다면 문제가 될건 없을 것 같아요. 아침식사는 별로였어요. 메인음식 하나 주문할수있고 식빵과 요거트 우유 콘프레이크 과일은 상시 준비되어 있습니다. 테스코와 빅씨까지는 차로 약 15분거리 입니다.

Easy walk into town for a great pad Thai dinner and then a top breakfast. Room clean and tidy, comfy bed with excellent pillows. Decent shower. Friendly staff who recommended excellent dinner spot.

Não possui elevador e são muitas escadas para acessar os quartos, e não tem pessoas para levar as malas até os quartos, apenas as meninas da recepção. Bom café da manhã, porém ao pedir para esquentar 1 copo de leite (pq só tinha o frio disponível) foi uma dificuldade para atenderem. Não gostam de realizar nada que seja fora do preconizado a eles, ou seja, não são muito solícitos (funcionários do café da manhã) Funcionários da recepção educados e solícitos. Cidade apresenta locomoção pois quase não possui táxi, somente servidos privados.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Short 3 day stay at the Malika - The location was quite difficult to find as I missed a turning and had to make a big round to get on the right route. Hotel surroundings very quiet, room was big and clean. Basic necessities where there. Only problem was there was a lot of mosquitoes as we booked a pool access room. We stayed for 3 nights, breakfast was decent, you have 4 choices of cooked breakfast and unlimited coffee and toast. Swimming pool water not very clean, and the mosquitoes were really a nuisance. Surroundings wise was quiet and away from the buzz of phuket town, if you walk out to opposite the school, you can find food and a 7-11. So not much of a problem. It's a 20 min walk to phuket old town aka thalang road and 10 min walk to Robinson shopping centre where you have day and night markets. As I rented a car, getting around wasn't that difficult, 15 min drive to big c or chao fah variety market.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel - The Malika is a great hotel, with a beautiful pool. Boy, the receptionist, would super helpful in helping us plan our scooter rental and ferry accommodations. The location is a bit remote and requires a vehicle of some sort to get to any point of interest.

- Elle (8/5): - We had a good stay at The Malika. The staff was very nice and responsive. The pool and hotel decor are very cool. They even offer bicycles if you’re brave enough to ride through the streets of Old Phuket Town! One drawback was the fact the hotel has no elevator and we had a bunch of luggage and a room on the 3rd floor. But overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is great with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and taxis are inexpensive.

- Chi Kon (4/5): Worst hotel experience ever - - no lift for entire 4 floor building - no telephone in room. Need to walk downstairs from room and across a building to reach reception. - room not ready upon check in. Shoe prints on bed sheet and pillows. - ridiculous charging upon check out. We were handled by the lady owner who insisted we paid for the cleaning fees for on bedsheets and room towels with some turmeric powder coloring. It was 1450 bahts initially (as compared with daily room rate of only 1200 bahts !!!). We tried to explain how this could be removed but she was too furious to even listen. She asked her staff to bring down the towels to the lobby and washed in front of all other guests!!! The drama ended when her husband got involved and agreed to accept 500 bahts to settle.....

Overall, everything was great and if not considering the smell it was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in Thailand.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Awesome hotel, recommended! - This is a fantastic hotel if you stay in Phuket town. Hotel is modern and has all basic amenities, and all areas are kept clean and tidy. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet location about 15mins walk from the main tourist area of Old Phuket town, in an authentic traditional community. Highly recommended !
- Verified traveler (6/5): close to pier for next day ferry. - The hotel is beautiful and modern, the room has a beautiful glass door patio overlooking the pool, but only a thick curtain to close on the inside. Therefore there is no privacy in the room during the daylight unless the whole curtain is closed which makes it dark inside and then no view, it would be better to have a privacy curtain as well. I didn't like the bedside light as it shines upwards from the fitting and not shielded by a shade so it's really bright in your eyes and it flickered, not ideal for getting ready to sleep. They also had lighting in the floor on the stairs so that was a bit blinding rather than coming from above. It looks modern but it's not practical, I don't want to fall down the stairs because I am blinded by the lights. The door on the room does not have an extra security lock which I did not like. Only the key card entry system which didn' t even have an additional bolt let alone a security chain. Because of this I wouldn't stay here again, I did not feel secure. I stayed here to get to the ferry easily the next day.

It will be right choice for those who like to be away from noise and gathering and family trip. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were neat and clean. The hotel has lots of own place and swimming pool is just in front of the hotel.
