The hotel is beautifully maintained, clean, and very peaceful perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff deserve special appreciation. They were extremely friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a warm smile. From check-in to check-out, the service was smooth and well-organized, making us feel truly welcomed and cared for. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and refreshing, and the overall environment is well thought out and relaxing. The location is also very convenient, and the hotel offers great value for money compared to others in the area. Everything was exactly as promised if not better. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hambantota. We will definitely choose Jade Green Hotel again and confidently recommend it to friends and family.

The room was okay and comfortable, and the view was very nice. Overall, the stay felt good value for money. The location is a bit far from the main tourist areas, although the view over the salterns was beautiful and great for bird watching. At night there were some very small flies in the room; they were harmless and seasonal, but they did slightly affect comfort. Other than that, everything was fine.

• Maria (6/5): Stuff is 5, the hotel is 3. Very old building without rennovation, meager breakfast menu - Stuff is very friendfull and nice, they were able to satisfy all requests. Quick checkin and checkout 24h. There is a possibility to choose european brekfast. Veru old buildings, room is rather good but bathroom is bad: the toilet is wobbly, the hot water lasts only 2 minutes, even though the heater worked for a long time, torn towels. Hambantota is not touristic place, no beach to swim, seesides, supermarkets and any other attractions
• Wathsala (8/5): Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly staff and good value for money. - The hotel offers good value for money. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Before booking, we were told that driver accommodation with meals was available. Although there was some confusion upon arrival, the hotel resolved it well by providing the driver with a room of the same standard as ours. We also had to cancel one of our four rooms after arrival, and this was handled without any issues. The location is convenient, close to town, with a clean swimming pool. Lunch and dinner from the restaurant were also good. The rooms were mostly clean and well maintained; however, due to rainy weather, small light-attracted insects entered the room at night. This appears to be seasonal and related to the climate rather than cleanliness, but it did cause some discomfort.

The staff were friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant experience. The food was a highlight lunch and dinner were absolutely delicious! The location amidst nature was beautiful, providing a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was just okay, and the room flooring could use an update either carpet or tile instead cement flooring. I also noticed some mosquitoes and flies, likely due to the surroundings.

• Harini (5/5): Two star motel - The pool was nice because it wasn't heavily chlorinated. But the property itself could have been better maintained. We experienced three short power outages lasting for about 30 minutes to an hour 3 times in one morning. The bathroom was not clean and there is no proper showering area - no bathmat or toilet paper supplied, so when you shower the entire bathroom including the toilet area gets flooded. The sink was unclean and has not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The balcony though nice had a notice with a warning not to use it as there were monkey intrusions. There were 2 plug points useable in the room and we had a triple room. The breakfast was hardly worth it. We visited during off season, so the indifferent service may have been due to that. But we did not see the TripAdvisor and Booking.com ratings they show off about. Please carry your own bottled water. The water provided tasted strange. The property in general could be better maintained.

The beds were comfortable. A/C was working just fine. Breakfast was very simple but tasted good. It was raining during the time we were there so the weather was a bit cold. So the hot shower was really nice. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. Overall it's a great place to relax. The main issue we had was the slippery staircase. The weather was rainy and water flows onto the staircase. By the time we arrived there, the staff was cleaning the stairs but it was not dried enough. One of our family members slipped and fell. At night, there was an insect problem but it's probably due to the rainy weather. Mosquitoes were annoying too but they'd provided vaporizers. Tea, coffee, and water supplied to the room weren't enough. Pool towels weren't supplied either.

Do not deserve any praise or stars - Convenient location for Hambantota area Had made this reservation for my wedding planners so they can stay close to the venue on the day of my wedding. When they checked out, I asked them to send me the details but their messages didn’t reach me on booking.comm chat. Then they decided to call me ON my wedding day while I’m at it, and threaten to call the police and have the guests arrested despite me telling them to send the details to me on WhatsApp so I can make the payment. The person on the phone didn’t let me get a word in and hung up on me. I then had to let my wedding planners to take care of it while dealing with wedding itself too. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone because of how they treated us. It was very lowly and nasty.

Manager sat with us and answered questions about culture. Got to see local momma dog at pool. Large towels. Good A/C in room. Pool has shade trees and pads for wooden lounge chairs. Pool toilet was clean. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable and balcony looked out over salt pools. Grounds and pool were clean and water was warm in pool.

Requested my room to be cleaned every day due to issues listed below and there was no question as far as I could tell. Seems.like.staff are doing their best with what they are working with. Room was in short, disgusting and not clean (requires a deep clean). Shield to stop creepy crawly guests broken and didn't do the job. Told it would.be repaired but this didnt happen so spent 5 nights in fear and sharing my room with some reptilian guests. Had to completely cover myself under sheet and woke in pain every morning given sleeping so tense. Found wildlife faeces in my room and shower every morning, towels were stained and floor mat hadn't been cleaned since the last user. General.manager is friendly enough but felt as if prices for certain services were inflated and taxi excursion staff reported to him after payment for every trip. Ordered a dish from the menu on 2 separate occasions and both times informed it wasn't available. I have no.intention to return but other visitors may have a good experience. I guess I was just unlucky on this occasion and didn't take it personally...its just not what I expected given the photos.

Didn't like that the photos were an illusion, door was a hassle to lock, the bathroom was dirty limescale all over taps and soap dish including soap bits where the last person had used it, dry wee stains on toilet, tiny ants along the wall and counter top, it says in the description you get slippers and a hairdryer we had neither in our room, it also says rooms are sound proof they most definatly are not so rubbish sleep They give you a review card at breakfast that you hand back and they read straight away (awkward) needless to say nobody came to help us with our luggage from our room to check out after that, glad it was one night stay and I didn't have my kids.
• Aleksandra (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed in Jade Green from 26-29th of March with 3 kids. Jade Hotel is close to the airport and is a great stay if you want to visit Yala National park; Birds Resort and Ridiyama park (to see all the animals). Great manager Mr. Claude has helped us find taxis at a fare price and suggested on excursions and relocation. He also offered us a better room when my daughter had some unexpected allergy and even helped us with doctor visit. My children were unable to eat breakfast because the food was too different for European taste and spicy, so Mr. Claude offered us bread, butter, egg and sausage making sure we are fed. He was always there to help us with everything and we felt safe. If you come to stay, you can ask him about excursions and places to visit. Food: we’ve had chicken soups for lunch and had dinners in Jade Green. Food is great; very delicious and not spicy (if you ask so). They can cook our food with all the local tasty herbs which makes the food great. Hotel can help you arrange taxi from the airport. The room was a great size and had all the amenities we could think of, there was a very spacious bathroom and the shower pressure was amazing! The TV was also modern and you can log into apps like Netflix. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the swimming pool was fantastic too. It didn’t seem like they knew we were coming for breakfast even though it was included on the booking from booking.com; in the end it was ok but there was no tea or coffee.

Great breakfast - staff will ask you what type of breakfast do you want... Staff doesn´t understand english very well, but sill you can find one person from staff which will understand you. Manager of hotel is great, very friendly, and always asking about your opinion and with will to help you. He recommended to us great option of safari near. Pool was also very fine, we used it everyday. Little bit dirty bathroom, bad wifi (sometimes working, sometimes not).

The pricing was very reasonable. Suggest the exterior lights not be turned on in the evening as a lot of bugs and insects and mosquitos come in.. There are many spaces between the doors and allow all the insects to come inside the bathroom and hallway. A shower curtain would also be useful to keep the bathroom dry. Also bathmats would be useful to keeping the bathroom clean.

• Bernard (6/5): Pleasant Stay - But! - Quiet, reflective location not too far from Hambantota. Good place for a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Staff were courteous, patient, kind and understanding. Food was appetizing with a wide selection to choose from. Unfortunately the hotel lacked attention to detail - very important in the tourist industry. The ensuite accommodation was not up to standard - broken lights, stained seat cushion, leaking kettle, broken AC control unit, no sink plug, towels not changed, tea / coffee / milk packets not replenished, unclean lamp shades. These should be attended to before a paying guest arrives.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and affordable, and the staff is excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Hambantota.
