• Verified traveler (10/5): Kind and considerate staff - I'm a U.S. citizen and was stuck in Canada, waiting for my passport to arrive in the mail. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, considerate, and genuinely concerned about my well-being. Each time I extended my stay (ended up waiting about a week for my passport), they asked if I was okay and ensured I was able to afford the extension. While my passport never arrived (I ended up having to travel to the Consulate for an emergency replacement), the Altona staff were so great, making the experience so much better. Really appreciate their kindness.

We got to the hotel rather late, and the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. It's an older property, but the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was clean, large and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel to other dog owners especially.

Hot tub activation not working on Thursday and the shower drain has hair that was there since the first day of our use of the pool. We extended for another day and moved to a standard room, it was clean but old. There is rust stain on the tub, the entry rug is damaged and toilet flush not working well. My suggestion: Upkeep the facilites and update a bit the room fixtures.

I had an exam to write remotely during our stay and the wifi was stable through the exam. Room was very clean. And provided us something to eat for supper. Left before the breakfast “included” in the hotel was available. We left at 7am. Breakfast started at 8am. Room was clean. If you only need a place to sleep, then this meets the mark. The description of the hotel says there’s a casino. It did have VLT’s in the bar. ☺️

I think the one poor girl was covering check ins, the bar and the restaurant. They couldnt find my reservation for a while. My check out sas ok but others had a problem. Some they charged at checkin some at checkout. My daughter payed at check in then at checkout they tried to charge her agai . Luckly she had her reciept.

We had lunch in the bar the day we arrived and it was good. I am allergic to feathers. I did not realize the pillows were feather until we got back from our event at 1am.
