- Justin (8/5): - Na Parking is bad for the cabins and quad. 1 car supposedly for 4 guests. We came in 2 as our friends came from another city. Quad cabin walls are paper thin. Heard thr family next door at 645am on a sunday like they were IN our room. Tight parking had me avoiding large tree branches only to ding fender on a smaller tree that should have been cut, in my blind spot.. Stick with a stand alone cabin or larger lodge house.

I just didn't know everything was closed on the days we were there but for a weekend stay I think it would have been super fun for the kids. Pioneer Town is very interesting and is great for photo ops. Restaurants and shops are all close by. There is construction going on but we didn’t mind.

- Randy (9/5): Exceptional - will repeat. - Everything was exceptional - the staff and attention, the cabin comforts and facilities, and location. The shower amenities were top notch. Being pet friendly was the deciding factor and plenty of space for a small dog. And firepit usage and wood provided was terrific. My only minor critique was that the mattress was a bit soft. But all the pillows, comforters and blankets were comfy.

- a (8/5): - We stayed in Megs Boarding House for my birthday weekend. Didnt help that it rained and a cold front came thru. But didnt stop us from utilizing the pool. I dont think id stay in megs boarding house again though and would definitely upgrade to a newer cabin. But glad i got to experience staying in there. Was very adorable, but walls are super thin and we were upstairs and man those stairs are steep ...and i get it...its old fashioned megs boarding house lol. But there was even dirt marked on the ceiling.. Over all, Had a great experience. The whole pioneer town is amazing and absolutely loved it. I didnt know there was a scavenger hunt. Next time i will definitely take part in that! Down town wimberly shopping center is right up the road, great places to eat, And hike! In the evenings you will see deer all over the properties it was beautiful! Heb is also right up the road so that was nice. Will definitely be back for a longer stay with family this summer!

- Cynthia (10/5): Peaceful Quiet - I was pleasantly surprised by 7A with the peaceful quiet when sitting outside the cabin. This was a very relaxing stay and will return when we next visit family in Wimberley.
- Carhart (5/5): Passable - Very pleasant staff and great location. Travel trailers parked out front were a surprise, noisy connected room, no hangars in the closet, and AC condenser is located directly opposite the bed headboard which meant we got to listen to that all night.
- Deborah (10/5): 7A was a nice, quiet getaway for the solar eclipse in Hill Country. - Everything we hoped it would be! It was a little pricey for us, but that was due to the eclipse. We loved the ranch and everything about Wimberley. We wish the pool was heated so we could have enjoyed it but I know that warmer days will be there soon. We loved cabin 1 and it was just what we needed. I don't think I'd change anything..?
- Heather (10/5): We will be back, and loved our stay. - Very clean, quaint, lots of fun stuff for the Littles to do, and beautiful grounds. The pool is sparkling, clean, and the river was clean and relatively shallow for kids. We will definitely be back . We came on a Sunday right before check-in, and found out that the office was only open for one more hour, so our kids were not able to play with the games and in the recreation center. But plenty of stuff to do so all good.

Though the ladies in front desk were great, informative, friendly, and helpful.

- Isabel (10/5): What a relaxing place in nature, we’ll stay next time for sure - The view from the cabin over the river, watching the deers cross your front yard in the afternoon while reading a good book in the porch. Having marshmallows at night in the fire ring outside the cabin, easy access to the river. We forgot there were tennis courts and didn’t bring our racquets sadly. The water from the tap was yellowish, we didn’t call the office to ask if it was safe to drink or not as it was nighttime, we had bottled water anyway. The fire starter didn’t help at all, we went the old way to start the fire.

We stayed in a cabin. It was cute and cozy. We will definitely be back for a longer weekend.

I almost fall when I was walking from the pool to my room. It was really dark at night no lights in the road. They need to have better towels in the rooms.

The oven was a bit challenging as the red light is always on, even if everything is off and can not tell at what temperature the oven is running……burned some cinnamon rolls.

- James (7/5): We had a good time. Don't let my personal disappointments keep you from staying there. - it was clean and quiet. It had a beautiful location but it was too cold and wet for us to enjoy. (winter time) I ran out of hot water in the shower. The lodge was difficult to get into and out of with our car. Only one chair in the room. No table to play cards on. Part of my disappointment was that I was expecting it to be an actual ranch and was surprised that it was actually a motel(dude ranch) on the edge of town. My fault. Overall we had a good time in Wimberly and the lodge was just a place to sleep.

- Zachary (6/5): Neat location in little village that needs attention to maintenance and basic room amenities. - Beds were very comfortable. The small village setting was fun, but needs a bit better signage. There is a difference between quaintly rustic and in need of repair and attention. It looks like children spilled makeup on the furniture and pillows. The bath was rusty and had water / soap staining on parts that were not cheaply covered up. Blankets of any sort would have been nice. Towels need full replacement. I could have done without multiple text reminders to wear my property bracelets, mark my vehicle and not to forget to check out on time. Maybe we were not the target market.

- Matthew (8/5): - It’s a really cool place in a unique setting. I mean, staying in a ghost town was definitely different and cool. The bed was way too bouncy and the bath towels were small and worn thin. If you can get past those two things (which we did), you’ll love the serenity of the river and the wildlife.
- Kellan (10/5): We loved our stay and will be returning! - The rooms were so nice for groups/families, the beds were comfy, the room was very clean, the location to the river was very nice. All the property has to offer is fun and wonderful. We will definitely be returning next summer for a group trip to this location. No complaints
