Guest Reviews
- luis (10/5): Value for money - Simply a great hotel. Ultra friendly and clean. We were 3 UK couples on vacation. We love the place. Thank you.
- Paula (10/5): Perfeita!

- Samuel (9/5): - Excellent location, rooms and staff. The evening meal at the restaurant was not amazing.
- Lajos (10/5): Oasis in Bolivia - Very nice boutique hotel with delicious food and great service! I actually liked everything

- link (10/5): - A beautiful property with clean and comfortable rooms. The restaurant serves top notch dinner and breakfast as well.
- Craig (10/5): Very pleased to have visited El PUEBLITO, which offers comfort in a beautiful setting and with a warm smile - Amazing location, stunningly beautiful and a fantastic staff team Nothing. Its rustic and comfortable
- Kamilla (7/5): - Nice hotel, a little bit like a fairytale, we had a good sleep in a nice room, very good energy and the nights super tranquilo:) Please avoid to go there if you are not on a jeep, the streets up to the hotel are terrible! I thought I was driving to wrong direction. This would be very good for the hotel owner to fix.
I came there with my 3 year old son, we had breakfast early and at 2.05 pm I came to the restaurant and asked for something to eat for him from the kitchen, people was sitting there still eating, but they closed the kitchen at 2.00 pm. There was no delivery and nothing to eat there. They told me i could go to downtown by my self with him to get something. He was crying there. I left the hotel because once I drive from the hotel on this terrible streets I decided to dont drive there again. i told the staff about the street and they laugh at me :)
But DONT misunderstand, the staff was lovely until I complain. Everything else was GOOD, I will come back when I have a jeep:)

- Sevinç (10/5): Just like home! - Kindness and great service everywhere you look — in the animals, the nature, the rooms, and all the beautiful details. Such an artistic, soulful place
- Peter (10/5): El pueblite and the Samaipata valley is a total gem! - El Pueblito is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. The location is fantastic on a hill overlooking Samaipata and the valley and mountains. The hotel consists of several smaller buildings that are gathered around a square - like a small town. The environment is beautiful and restful and the food served for breakfast and in the restaurant is very fresh and good. An extra plus for the pool area where you can sunbathe and swim overlooking the valley. Nothing

- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional - El Pueblito has a fabulous location overlooking Samaipata. I loved the decor of small cabins around a courtyard with a llama inspired fountain..family based hotel that is welcoming to visitors. Swam in outdoor pool surrounded by nature. Highly recommend this hotel for recuperation but also can enjoy a variety of activities like El Fuerte nearby
- Nancy (10/5): I would highly recommend El Pueblito, great atmosphere, lovely family run business. I'd go back in a heartbeat. - It was very unique, and had such a lovely personal and creative touch.
- Flavia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Astonishingly amazing place - Beautiful place and location. The usual lovely Bolivian people, made it such a genuinely memorable experience. Would have stayed here for ages, but had to move on. Samaipata as interesting as it gets. Those views from El People 😍 Road to Samaipata was a bit rough!
- Autumn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leonardo (9/5): little gem designed as a small Pueblo with 12 theme-based houses arranged around plaza - The hotel is a little gem designed as a small Pueblo with only 12 theme-based houses each one different and of different size all arranged around a central Plaza and easy access to the reception/ restaurant building always accessible. Location is great and panoramic, with lots of things to do and walk to on property. Staff (we also met owner, this a family-owned hotel) is fantastic, super-nice and friendly. One thing I would suggest is to heat the water of the pool (which currently is not); it's a bit cold.
- Sinead (5/5): This hotel is charming and cute but should NOT be open in July. The road up to the hotel is an accident waiting to happe - I love the design and concept. They were very accommodating when we arrived with more family than our booking had said. We knew the rooms booked could accommodate the extra people but not every hotel would be as open and welcoming I think. I enjoyed the breakfast. Staff spoke excellent English and obviously Spanish. Beautiful restaurant/reception/bar area. Comfortable beds. The rooms were freezing when we arrived. Our door had a huge gap between the door and door frame allowing the cold in. The Librería had one small heater for the whole bungalow and it wasn’t working well. They then lit a fire for us in the bungalow which was great but that filled the house with smoke. Dinner is only served between a few hours but it was tasty. The biggest problem is the treacherous road up to El Pueblito. It is a mud path on a steep hill. It was like ice. We came down after our first night stay and refused to go back up. Some of our family risked it to retrieve our stuff but others refused to go back. It should NOT be open in the winter. The road is not fit to travel and the rooms are not well heated enough. Everyone at the hotel was wrapped up and sitting as close to the fire as they could. There was no view because the clouds had descended on the hotel.
- Gustavo (8/5): Very good - The access to the hotel is awful. I don’t understand why the hotel doesn’t do something to make it more accessible. I damaged my car on that road.
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erna (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay and we can recommend this hotel. - Everything. Beautiful rooms, very friendly people and nice surrounding.
- Sang (6/5): Amazing hotel, a little far from center, with horrible internet - Internet sucks! Starlink can easily solve this issue. No excuses. Internet sucks! Starlink can easily solve this issue. No excuses.
- Willie (8/5): Very good -
- Naomi (10/5): We relaxed and enjoyed ourselves there. Highly recommended - Staff was lovely and helpful. They even brought us a forgotten item down to Santa Cruz. It’s a bit of a trek—or short taxi— up the hill but the views, clean air and pool make it worth it. Plus each room is lovingly decorated and unique. The town needs to fix the road
- Dick (7/5): This place could do better, by installing airco, and add a coffee / station to the room - The views over Samaipata The damp, stuffy rooms, without airco or ventilator, we could ooen the windows because the mosquitos would come in.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): Outstanding place! We stayed two nights and absolutely loved it. - Excellent breakfast! Juice, scrambled eggs, coffee, bread, fruits, cake, ... Everything delicious! And so many choices it will be hard to try it all. There wasn't anything I didn't like. It was a perfect stay!
- Flavia (10/5): Fabulous staying! I would choose and recommend again! Magical and relaxing place, lovely staff. -
- Margarita (9/5): Superb -
- Dafne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kestutis (10/5): Beautiful place!!! - Beautiful place Wifi in the room.
- Gloriane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mollie (10/5): Truly delightful stay. - We loved the charm, comfort and friendly, helpful staff. Absolutely nothing that we didn’t like.
- Joel (8/5): Charming place but don’t eat there. - The charm The meal in the restaurant. Nul
- Francisco (8/5): - El Pueblito is a unique property in Samaipata. Views of the city below are great. All rooms are decorated with different themes related to the buildings of the little town. In the lush gardens peacocks and horses roam freely. The food was just OK. Service was attentive. However, because of its location on the top of the hill, your need a car to move around. After rain, you even might need a 4x4 to reach the hotel. Anyway, I still think is the best place to stay in Samaipata.
- Maria (10/5): Perfect place to relax ! - El Pueblito is a representation of a small town, each room representing parts if the town with exquisite decoration. You have a carpentry, bank, florist, artist’ house, chapel, etc… the view is magnificent. El Pueblito is a nice quiet place to relax. The food is very good as well.
The family that owns and runs the hotel is very attentive and warm.
100% recommended! Can’t think of anything we did not like
- Wolfgang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marcos (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Very charming property with super friendly staff Rough road from town up the hill
- Amy (10/5): - We absolutely loved staying at el Pueblito. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had dinner every night there and each time it was delicious! Super clean! Quaint and charming. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!
- Waters (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful and pretty
- Adrian (10/5): I went to paradise. - It was paradise. The facility, staff, food, and everything else was top notch. A great resort for everyone! The road to the resort is BAD. I cannot blame the resort for that, though.
- Anastasia (10/5): Beautiful place with very friendly personal -
- Marta (7/5): Good - Nice room, comfortable beds, good breakfast, nice view We did not like the restaurant in the hotel. The food has average taste, tiny portion and expensive. Very far from the city.
- Aleksandr (10/5): Exceptional - I am thrilled to give El Pueblito a flawless and exceptional review, rating it a perfect 10 out of 10! This remarkable accommodation has surpassed all our expectations, establishing itself as the finest place we have ever stayed in after years of extensive traveling. El Pueblito elevates the concept of relaxation to an entirely new level with its flawless service, an outstanding team of staff, delightful animals and birds, delectable cuisine, breathtakingly picturesque surroundings, and an enchanting atmosphere of tranquility. Every inch of El Pueblito's premises reflects meticulous care and remarkable craftsmanship, creating an atmosphere that is truly awe-inspiring.
Prior to our visit, we had concerns about the WiFi speed, which is crucial for our work as teachers who rely on daily online classes with cameras. However, we were pleasantly surprised as everything worked flawlessly. The WiFi signal was strong enough in our room, and it was even better in the summer house (gazebo) located in the center of the square. This spot quickly became my favorite place to work, offering both power outlets and shade. Therefore, I would like to assure any fellow business travelers that the internet connection at El Pueblito is reliable 24/7.
Moreover, the shower facilities were excellent, providing us with wonderfully hot water. Despite visiting in late autumn, the rooms and reception area were kept comfortably warm with the help of heaters and an abundance of cozy blankets.
Notably, the nearby winery is a charming destination that should not be missed. We highly recommend booking a tour, especially considering its convenient proximity to El Pueblito. Our fond memories are incomplete without mentioning Patricia, the charming ginger cat, and the friendly dogs who added an extra layer of warmth and joy to our stay.
In summary, El Pueblito has exceeded all our expectations, offering an unforgettable experience that deserves the highest praise.
- Simon (8/5): great staff, excellent relaxing stay - peaceful, quiet, quaint not a good road to get too it
- Jakob (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel has a very special atmosphere. You will always hear the central water feature and the wind in the trees. We found it very relaxing. The breakfast is good and the people very friendly. We would love to have stayed longer.
- Anjag. (10/5): Amazing hotel on top of the hill - The place is just perfect, all well taken care of, nicely decorated cabins, stunning views, great food, attentive and very helpful staff and a lot of friendly animals :) Nothing! Could have stayed there forever!
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeremy (10/5): A lovely base for visiting Samaipata - We loved the friendly, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Our room was spacious, the shower excellent and furnishings were of very high quality. Breakfast was delicious.
- Mariela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariela (10/5): I fell in love with the property and the panoramic view - Beautiful location overlooking Samaipata valley. excellent customer service very friendly and very good breakfast and dinner. this property is made up like a small Pueblo, each room or cabin has its own theme. I loved this hotel four stars I loved everything!
- Nicky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): - Excelente servicio, propiedad, ambiente y comida.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! The pictures you have in your website doesnt do justice to the property. It is beautiful!! Very well kept and clean with amazing views. The staff is extremely helpful and accomodating. The food amazing - we had all 3 meals. Their cook does a great job in creating delicious dishes that are executed with perfection. We will be coming back for sure! Nothing.
Perhaps the roads can be in better condition but this is not the property’s fault but the towns.
- Federico (10/5): definitely would come back - amazing location, view, very cozy rooms and lovable staff.
Good restaurant and wine offer too!
- mikel (10/5): - Beautiful hotel. Super cute 1 bedroom suite.
- Guus (9/5): Superb - The location, the staff, the rooms Bit more expensive than other options around town
- Gabriela (9/5): Superb - Adorable structure and setting. Beautiful scenery and romantic location. Ambiance was gorgeous Boutique hotel was truly an experience No availability to extend and staff was slightly uptight and didn’t follow through. GPS doesn’t guide u properly. Poor signage to location. Road was horrible to drive to. Restaurant was so so. And u can here the room next door.
- Sheila (9/5): Superb - We loved our stay here. Friendly staff, very clean. Enjoyed the ambiance and ate well in the restaurant. We enjoyed the location even though it is a 30 minute walk to town.
- Claudio (9/5): Superb -
- Luis (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): We loved it - Everything was top class, the concept of the hotel is fantastic. staff were so nice and friendly Got some washing done and it cost 120 Bols which was way to expensive.

- Ørjan (10/5): Amazing!! - The hotel was beautiful and the staff where so nice the food at the restaurant were excellent. I loved all the animal, and the small humoristic messages everywhere.
