Guest Reviews
- Brenda (10/5): - The property is gorgeous! It is surrounded by trees, plants, and wildlife. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The food at the hotel restaurant is made fresh and taste delicious.
The beach and Manuel Antonio National Park are a short distance away. The market and restaurant are walking distance from the hotel.
- Lino (10/5): - We had a great stay! Gustavo was amazing when we arrived. Helped us with where to go for dinner up to scheduling our tours. Jeremy’s at the hotel restaurant was a delight every morning for breakfast. All of the staff were amazing. 10 of 10 on all! Will definitely go back.
- Ericka (10/5): - Love my stay at jungle vista. Very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Loved everything about this hotel
- Alice (10/5): - Loved our stay, the staff were all very friendly and most spoke great English too which made things easy for us. Everything was spotless, pool area was absolutely beautiful. We saw lots of monkeys from our balcony around 2-3pm every day
- Steven (10/5): - We loved everything about Jungle Vista and will definitely stay here again on our next visit.
- Roi (10/5): - Very new and chic hotel, everything was excellent and the staff was amazing
- AMY (10/5): - Every staff member we encountered was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely book again.
- Stephen (10/5): - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Jungle Vista.
- JANE (10/5): Jungle Vista - Very comfortable hotel. Staff were all very helpful. Enjoyed spotting wildlife from our balcony.
- Debra (10/5): Fabulous place to stay. - We stayed for 4 days. The accommodations were beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The only comment i had was about the included breakfast. Same choices each day. I would suggest a continental breakfast
Also, if you’re not renting a car, prepare to walk steep hills.
- Dennis (10/5): - After this stay I think boutique hotels will be our new favourites. The hotel was small, quiet and comfortable. It was clean with a very spacious room and a balcony overlooking the pools and jungle-like setting where we could see monkeys, etc. The staff at the hotel provide excellent service and help with explaining excursions and recommend ones that suit your specific wants/needs. The food in the restaurant is great and the pools provide a wonderful place to relax. There is parking which is a plus. We had a great stay and highly recommend this hotel.
- Derrick (10/5): - Very nice place, small quiet and the restaurant was great! Free breakfast!
- Jonathan (10/5): - Wonderful jungle experience staying at this hotel. The staff are great as are the meals and drinks. Close to lots of varied and interesting activities.
- robert (10/5): - Great place. Money visits great for the kids. On site restauirant helpful.
- Reilly (10/5): - Excellent
- Roman (10/5): - It's like a little gem in the middle of jungles. Beautiful backyard view with calmig sound of a small creek.
Stylish and cozy room with small kitchenette.
- Suhail (10/5): - EMILY AND MONICA WERE THE BEST... TOP LEVEL SERVICE, BEST HOTEL IN MANUEL ANTONIO.
- Laura (10/5): - Loved my stay here! Could see sloths and monkeys every day from our balcony and woke up most mornings to the howler moneys! Kids had a blast in the pool, and breakfast was quick and easy every morning. Communication with the front desk was easy when needed. Only ate dinner at the restaurant on the first night, food was pretty good and could even watch the monkeys while we ate. Overall, totally recommend!
- Leah (10/5): - Exceptional customer service and beautiful rooms with lots of wildlife.
- Glenn (10/5): - Wonderful place, lovely staff. Excellent place to disconnect and relax. Highly recommend it.
- Subhash (8/5): - Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Nice location.
- Arthur (10/5): Jungle Vista Boutique es Bueno! - The hotel is thoroughly modern facility. Very good staff at the feont desk. The pool and restaurant area are nice. The monkeys visited during the free breakfast. Thats pretty quiet and private. No water views from there.
Its just up the road from the main street and multiple options for eating and entertainment. Very safe area.
Beware its a steep hill but we like to and are able to walk. Driving the surrounding roads to get there and around are tight. You can also just hire a taxi.
You can hear cars and cycles theought the door in our room that faced the road.
Each room has a balcony for two.
- Michael (10/5): - Across the board peaceful, friendly, convenient.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Nice hotel. Good value.
- Nate (10/5): Great stay - would recommend - Great place, wonderful service, feels like we had it to ourselves, easy access to pools and restaurant, great view, but not right by the beach - but we still walked it. Good exercise coming back up the hill!
- Jean (10/5): - Everything about this property was fantastic. The Team that welcomes you at the front desk remember your name, and are very helpful. I like to walk places and was able to do so safely and easily. The restaurant on-site was delicious. Highly recommend.
- Amanda (10/5): Perfect spot, we hope to be back! - Beautiful hotel, comfortable room, tasty breakfast, and helpful staff like Andres and a couple of restaurant staff. The hotel is nicely located - able to see monkeys from the restaurant and room, so made it more memorable. The only downside was the pools are a little small although super refreshing in the heat and that a staff person advised something for a park tour that turned out to not be true (no tour guides return to pick you up if you decide to stay later, but I was told that was the case).
- Fermin (10/5): Excellent experience - Our Tucan suite was large enough for the 4 of us and quite comfortable. Breakfast was very good although limited options (american, traditional Costa Rican, French toasts, or omelette) without a lighter/healthier one (continental or yogurt, cereal, large fruit platter, etc). Andres and Eithan at the main desk were very friendly and helpful. Andres was able to get us a last minute tour to Manuel Antonio although tickets for the day were sold out, and Eithan made our check out extremely comfortable.
- Julio (10/5): - Perfect view with a great quality of service
- Marina (10/5): Jungle gem - Modern jungle abode with great breakfast, pool, bar and restaurant. Nearby Emilio’s is a gem for breakfast, lunch or a quick bite with splendid view.
- Melissa (10/5): - Wonderful reception and cleaning staff. Lots of wildlife right off the balcony!
- Shailendra (8/5): - We liked the breakfast area and the pool. It had small kitchen too. Our rooms were kind of below the street level but the patio opened to lots of trees. I wish our rooms were level 3 and above.
- Wai (10/5): - We are a family of four, with a 12 year-old and a 14 year-old. We stayed for 5 nights in the Tucan suite (3rd floor).
I had done a lot of research prior to coming, and it was really important that our room had a great view of the treetops. Jungle Vista did not disappoint, as one entire side of our suite was basically a viewing area to the lush greenery outside. Within a few minutes of hanging out by the balcony, we were able to spot numerous capuchin monkeys and howler monkeys leaping from branch to branch. We didn't see other kinds of animals, but perhaps we might have if we brought binoculars.
The temperature in the room can be adjusted to your liking. We shut off the a/c if we wanted to keep the glass doors open; and when it got too warm, the a/c cooled the suite down quickly.
The master bed was very comfortable: the mattress was firm but not too hard. My husband thought the pillows were a bit flat, but I found them okay.
My son slept on the couch (which converted to a bed), while my daughter slept on the mattress that had to be pulled out from underneath the couch. They didn't complain about the sleep, but whenever we sat on the couch, the seat/mattress kept sliding out from under us, and that was annoying.
The Tucan suite has a kitchen with a full fridge and gas stove. It came with glass and dishware, which came in handy. Prior to arriving, we had picked up dish soap and a sponge from Walmart, but the hotel does provide a cleaning pad.
The bathroom was spacious
- debra (10/5): - Hotel was modern, clean. The staff was super nice and helpful. Great place to see monkeys and walkable to restaurants and the beach. The breakfast was delicious.
- Marco (10/5): - Perfect stay while in Manuel Antonio area. Manuel was really helpful in booking the excursions we wanted to take and the wildlife that came to visit the grounds around the resort made it seem like we were in the middle of the jungle.
- MATEUSZ (10/5): - Great time staying at the property.
- Cathryn (10/5): - We stayed for 8 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and kind. The rooms are clean and spacious. Its one and only restaurant features an excellent varied menu. Highly recommended this place. Walkable to everything in the area. Owned by Los Altos an upscale hotel up the road. We used their spa and ate the pool cafe. Would definitely stay there again if back in that area.
- AMY B (8/5): - Beautiful, clean, well appointed room with a kitchenette and sitting area. Full furnished patio. Gorgeous pool and fabulous restaurant. A little close to the street so can be noisy but still a nice boutique hotel.
- Colin (10/5): - Jungle Vista exceeded all of our expectations. The room is beautiful, the staff is attentive, and the restaurant’s food is delicious! We were able to see howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys and even a sloth from our balcony.
- Angel Michael (10/5): - We visited Costa Rica for the first time and we stayed at Jungle Vista. The boutique hotel was awesome. Saw many monkeys and Sloth from room balcony. I will stay at this location again.
- Rocio (10/5): - Customer service is great amenities as well everyone very nice and friendly love the room jungle view great experience I will definitely recommend to family and friends.
- TERESA LYNN (10/5): - We had such a nice stay at Jungle Vista. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We stayed in one of the Iguana Suites which overlooked the pool and the jungle. The monkeys put on a great show for us especially on our last day. They are up early BTW! Breakfast (included) was delicious. We stopped by the restaurant for drinks a couple of evenings had dinner there at least once. The food and service were very good and priced reasonable. Thank you to Gabriella and Michael for the cake and decorating our room for my boyfriends birthday. Truly above and beyond!!
- Nelya (10/5): - The jungle around the property, the nature is very beautiful. The staff is very friendly
- Adriana (2/5): - Horrible experience, hotel was understaffed and they made us wait for 6hrs before letting us into a room that was still not ready, missing duvet and pillowcases. Once in the room I started having breathing difficulties and noted mold under the bathroom sink. There was no other room available. completely overbooked. Other guests were also complaining about the wait. We checked out after the first night, very disappointing.
- Ilya (6/5): - Nice hotel in a good location. Staff was friendly.
But for the price we paid: shower was really bad (constant switching from very hot to very cold water). Also, the hotel has stairs and when people are walking on stairs, it is very loud.
But the shower is the one thing that made our stay much less enjoyable.
- Donna (10/5): Monkeys will entertain you! - We had a wonderful stay at Jungle Vista. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We had a Toucan apartment, which included full kitchen, king bed, pull out couch and walk out balcony. Delicious daily breakfast included. The waiter in the cafe was my favorite. So very nice. The white faced monkeys would hang out and try to steal the sugar packets. They were on the patio while we ate and provided hours of entertainment. We also saw and heard the howler monkeys and one sloth. Free parking too.The only cons were we were not allowed to use the sister property but that was fine. The bed was a bit hard but my biggest complaint was the water. It would turn from scalding hot to ice cold while showering. We learned to shower quickly, while constantly adjusting the temp. Felt very safe in the hotel and the area overall. Excellent restaurants close by.
- Allen (10/5): - it was up against the hill that was very lush. Pool was very close
- Melissa (10/5): - What a beautiful hotel. Very modern and clean. Located right up against the jungle. We saw scarlet macaws and howler monkeys from our balcony. The balcony was really amazing. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a little mini-kitchen in our room. The included breakfast was very yummy. On our last morning there we had a white faced capuchin monkey come up right next to me and steal the sugar off our table. It was so exciting, we loved it! The staff is very friendly and attentive and helped with local tips. We loved it here and will definitely stay here next time we are in CR.
- Saul (10/5): - Beautiful rooms, extremely clean and great staff. Loved staying here and the front desk employees were extremely helpful and pleasant. I almost didn’t stay here because a few bad reviews but I’m really glad we did. The hotel has a partnership with a nearby resort also which was really awesome. A car comes to pick you up to drop you off at a private beach or the resorts Pool. Couldn’t of been any better, too many people complain about the small things! Yes there is construction but who come to see Costa Rica to stay in their room all day. Don’t let that stop you. We were never woken up by construction and they stopped by 4 or 5.
- Oma (10/5): - Although it was under construction we did enjoy our stay...room was a bit smaller than we thoughts but was pleasant. We were very pleased with the staff for recommendations for places too eat and the one who told us about a sloth right outside our patio door. We saw him and took many videos for the Grand kids
- Tammy (10/5): - Staff very friendly and helpful. Monkey's and sloths right out our deck. Rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Would stay here again!
- Marco (10/5): Great STAFF and place. - The guys that welcome me (sat 22 feb at 20:30) where incredibly helpfull -
- Roxannw (10/5): - We really enjoyed the staff there. Very very helpful and professional. Their English was excellent as well. Beautiful room. Monkeys and a sloth outside our balcony within 5 feet. Very good location. There was construction happening when we were there but we had advance notice and were given the option to cancel without penalty if needed. We weren’t there during the day anyway
- BM (2/5): - This was a new property.
It had a problem with the evacuation of the septic refuse, in particular for lower levels. We booked two units. The toilets got clogged the morning after we arrived and nobody was able to do anything about it.
We ended up going somewhere else.
Most troublesome was that the property seemed to have known about this issue as they filled up the rooms from the top floor down; we were on the 2nd and 3rd floor and nobody else was on the 2nd or 1st floors.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property is not ready for welcoming gest.
Only the pools are avala le on thé site of the hôtel.
Bad réception .they were not able to find matches for thé gaz cooking surface ! No light for balcony.no table and chairs for eat.no restaurant on site! They refer guests at an other hôtel at 300 meters away !! The mail I received don’t talk about all these. They said everything were ok, just à building in construction. For me, it is very bad prestation.
- Hallie (4/5): - We arrived in the afternoon and the hotel doesn't have reception office, no name, half of the hotel is still under construction and covered by net. The reception is just a person sitting on a desk in front of the building. The taxi was failed to find the hotel we have to ask and finally find it.
After we arrived the room, the room is brand new and look partly like the picture, however, the room seems to be just finished remodel the day we arrived. The room is super smelly and there are two painting tanks with ladder right in front of the room. We felt headache after sitting in the room for couple mins and asked the reception. He suggested us to leave the room, open the fan, door and they will put two coffee bags in the room to help absorb the smell. The head bed still not installed and still has nail and wood exposed. No curtain on the bathroom, leave no privacy in the room.
After we get back from dinner, the room still smell strong, we contact them to see them can exchange other rooms and they told me nothing available. We then contact the expedia, the expedia called us they mentioned they offer us to exchange another room. This is not true, no one contact us. Then they offer they can offer free cancel if we want, the problem is it is impossible for us to find anyroom at 8PM during Chrismas at that moment. They told the expedia they will offer us the other room in the other building, but this never happened.
They didn;t do room service, didn't provide new towel in 2nd day.
- PC (6/5): - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the building was too new. There was a leakage from bathroom ceiling and no blinds for the bathroom window. The shower water went hot and cold itself. The only quick fix the staff could do was to use a bed sheet to cover the bath window which was on the first floor. It is an expensive stay which I dont think worth the value at this stage.
