• Jennifer (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Pretty much everything I love this place. We have rebooked for 2026 Not a dislike but a recommendation, the linens, pillows and towels are getting old and need replacing.

• Kwok Hing (8/5): A super relax hotel - This small hotel had a relax feel and although situated on the main street, noise level wasn't too bad. The room was large and well equipped with a TV, mini fridge and a kettle. The onsite restaurant provide very good food and great service from their young waitering staff.  The onsite dive centre, Bambu Divers, provided good service and diving. All dives were away from the hotel, transported to local boats moored. I did 3 days diving, each was varied. I saw 3 giant mantas, 3 sharks, turtles and great macro dives.  I would recommend this small and friendly hotel. Nothing
• Antonius (9/5): - Locatie, personeel en privacy. Taxi's via Grab in Candidasa gaat moeilijk, om plaatselijke taxi chauffeurs meer kans te geven. Het probleem is dat de plaatselijke taxi chauffeurs ruim drie keer zo veel vragen als een taxi via de Grab. Bij een opmerking over een te hoge prijs gaan de chauffeurs omlaag in prijs echter de sfeer wordt vervelend. Voor ons de reden om geen extra dag te boeken in Candidasa. Taxi probleem benadeeld hiermee de hotels en toerisme.
• Hanne (9/5): Dejlig beliggenhed. Venlig og hjælpsom betjening. - Beliggenheden lige ud til havet. Fantastisk udsigt til Nusa Penida og til de små øer lige ud for. Rene og pæne værelser og velholdt have og poolområde. Søde og hjælpsomme personaler. Vi havde de sidste værelse op mod hovedgaden, derfor var der en del motorlarm og os.
• Joan (5/5): I wouldn’t stay here again - Lovely staff and great view beach side. Wacky Jacky cafe across the road has wonderful food and charming staff. For me the bed was very hard, I folded up the duvet and placed under the sheet to make it possible to sleep. The bathroom was adequate but very smelly.

• Baliite (10/5): an old Candi Dasa favourite. - A trusted old accomodation offer in the main street. Been staying here at various times over 30 yrs. Still the best value for money in C.D. Staff are like family, always a smile, very caring customer comfort attitude from all. Would recommend to any wanting home like stay. Very convenient to Restos, convenience stores and bars. e nothing .. nil.

• Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - Basic room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Rooms are all separate detached cottages with nice porch. Great to have a fridge. Pool area overlooking ocean was lovely. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Fresh cooked breakfast and tropical fruit was very nice at the open air dining with view out over the ocean.

• Mitja (9/5): Superb - Plenty of options to choose from menu. Quality food, nice portions, always fresh and quickly prepared. Staff is really nice and friendly, eager to go extra value. In the heart of Candidasa with so many options for meals close by, if not feeling having a meal in the hotel. Hot and cold running water, big bathroom, several supermarkets close by and lots of local stores near by. Little more flexibility when going out for the whole day, like having an option to get the breakfast served in the evening, especially when you are going on a day trip at 5.00 a.m. . You do get the fruit salat, toast, butter and jam to your room evening before, yet would be nice to have an option of getting the meal in the evening. But this is only a small issue that could be nicely solved.

Enjoyed our last minute decision to stay here and so glad we did, the team were amazing and did everything to assist. Met Danny a co-owner and he assisted us with transport both on land and water. • John (9/5): Great location, great staff , good clean cool rooms and good food and drinks - A quiet place in a beautiful location. 12 bungalows nestled in lush gardens with a good pool and restaurant. All the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them also the restaurant has a good menu and if you can’t find something for yourself I think you are being very picky. All in all I will definitely recommend Pondok Bambu to my friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay. John

Thre location however is the drawcard, great outlook and so close to fanatic restaurants. Special mention to Komang who was so helpful in assisting us to organise activities. Hot water intermittent. • Chelsea (8/5): I really like the chill vibe of Candidassa - Beachfront access and close to the town. Excellent rooms and really clean. The staff were lovely and helpful with everything - however you need to ask for help. Still using plastic straws.

• Pitman (9/5): Short stay in Candidasa - Small intimate accommodation, basic but very Balinese and in a good location Just should book things outside of accommodation as if you don't go through with something they get a bit sad about it and can be awkward

When we wanted to go snorkeling, trips were all set up for us, that afternoon, by Danny. Initially via Booking.com message then WhatsApp. Thank you Good shower, Comfortable bed Nice breakfast Fantastic helpful staff Candidasa is not the right place to snorkel. Ahmed is where you can go straight from the beach. Pondok Bambu is a dive, not snorkel centre. Room a bit dark, no shower gel or shampoo, no coffee in room, just tea.

• Smith (6/5): Candidasa is a beautiful little village we have visited many times. Dont'stay at Pondok Bambu. - Rooms were clean, bed was comfy, breakfast was great, & the kitchen / dining staff excellent. Our friends, my wife & I had two rooms side by side & we both had a substantial amount of money stolen from our safe which is where our money was always kept. We have no doubt the money was stolen & the amount of Australian dollars stolen was the same from both rooms. Pondok Bambu staff were the only people with access to the rooms and the safe, coincidentally cleaning our rooms at the start of our breakfast with one 'cleaning' and the other waiting on the balcony???

• Hurle (5/5): Great diving resort for a chill boys trip. - Amazing location, great view of the water. Friendly staff. Clean grounds. Best part of staying here is the dive center is within at the accomodation. They are a very well run scuba center. Felt very safe and accommodated by all staff and instructors. Thin mattress on beds. Rooms were worn and outdated. They were clean however overdue for work/revamp, especially the bathroom. Very little natural lighting. Not a room you want to spend time in, only good for sleeping once you’re very tired.

• Darryl (5/5): Location is good to shops, restaurants etc, access to a sandy beach, staff friendly & helpful. - No complaints about the breakfast, it was adequate & well presented, enough to start your day & more than what we would eat at home for breafast. The wardrobe was smelly e.g musty smell, then we noticed two mouldy & stained pillows on the shelf. Holes in the ceiling, we were assured that nothing would come through, the roof would not leak if it rained. The room really lets the property down, it needs updating/walls need painting, a better quality mattress on the bed, better linen, bathroom towels & pool towels.
