The hotel is very pittoresk, the rooms personally decorated and the staff is really helpful and very service minded. I truly recommend a stay at this hotel when you’re visiting Paris!

Nigel (8/5): - A lovely little hotel situated in the heart of the Latin Quarter, a perfect location enabling you to walk to all the major sights in Paris with lots of eating options within less than a five minute walk. The metro is also only a five minute walk away. Although very charming, the hotel badly needs a refurbishment.

Michael (6/5): - Overall, this was a good hotel, but not worth the price. They try but miss the mark. To start the locks on the room doors are a learning curve as there is no handle, the shower handle was very loose combined with high water pressure which made for something out of a comedy movie as water went everywhere. Also the breakfast was 15 euros each and a disappointment. On the upside the location and friendly staff almost made up for the state of the hotel.

Trevor (10/5): - Such a beautiful, quaint, wonderful place to stay in the middle is everything on the Left Bank/St.Germaine/Latin Qtr. area. Right behind you is the stunning Jardin de Luxembourg, you must see! Plus the cafes, the Pantheon just down the street, easy bus access to places all over the city, are so convenient. The decor, from the dining room, sitting room and guest rooms are so French chic! Such comfortable furnishings too. The breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice is wonderful! The staff are so very kind, eager to please and very accommodating. It’s very safe too. Highly recommend this charming place. This is my 4th visit to Paris & I’ve stayed other places, but I will only return here from now on!

Cassie (10/5): - We couldn’t have asked for a better place to land for our first stay in Paris. Laurent at the front desk was so helpful and welcoming: he made us feel right at home. Everything about the hotel was charming: from the historic decor, courtyard, delicious breakfast, and romantic windows. The location was perfect for walking to Jardín de Luxembourg with the kids and there were lots of great shops around. As our plane took off, we all agreed we couldn’t possibly stay anywhere else when we return to Paris.
Patricia (6/5): - I felt this stay was satisfactory but the hotel could easily make some improvements without spending a lot of money which would bring the quality up significantly, for example, get rid of antiquated decor items like dust covered fruit baskets, floral fabric drapes from 60’s, bird cages, etc. Replace the carpet, mattresses (which felt like sleeping in a box spring, and add coffee makers and blow driers. The hotel is in a great location and could be made great with little effort. Good to great with little effort.
Mark (10/5): Lovely Friendly Hotel - Lovely little hotel in a great location. Staff were super friendly. Not a large international formulaic chain and a little quirky. Area is very quiet but only a very short walk to bars/restaurants shops. Also, very short walk to Pantheon, Jardin de Luxembourg, Saint Sulpice, Emily in Paris' house (Ask my wife!!) and much, much more.
Verified traveler (4/5): Once, not twice - Beware, I am not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. I’d give it 3 at most and I’m being very generous. The only upside is the location which is great. The rooms are archaic, the AC does not work. The bed mattress is nonexistent comfort wise. Lacks basic amenities such as toothpaste which I asked for and said there were none which is ridiculous considering hotels should have toothpaste especially 4 star ones! There is no one to help with luggage. I was annoyed that the doors require actual keys that you have to return before you go out to the city. The hotel attendant ran after me to get it. Overall, don’t be fooled by the four stars.
Dean (10/5): Great spot for touring - We rented at this hotel because of its location and reasonable price, and we’re not at all disappointed. Great location: across from the Odeum, within easy walking distance to the Seine and major attractions, and a stone’s throw from Luxembourg Park, which was an awesome place to relax and people watch. At the hotel we had a very engaging host at the desk who went out of his way to give us advice, and even served us coffee when we got back tired from museum hopping. Was the room luxurious? Of course not- it was small but perfectly functional. Anyone who stays more than the bare minimum in their room then complains that it is too small, too dark, etc., is a fool.

Had some wifi issue during the first several days , which got better later. Would not hesitate to book again if chances arise.

James (10/5): - After staying in 30 or more Paris hotels, I discovered Relais Medicis which fits me precisely. Close to restaurants, sites, activities but charming , small and quiet. Lovely staff. The 6th is my favorite arr. This was my 5th stay here Public rooms are handsomely decorated including a delightful breakfast room. The staff could not be more accommodating! A few tips to improve. Beds are low which for persons of a certain age (me) makes it difficult to visit the toilet during the night. By raising them 6-8 inches, getting in and out of bed for me (and everyone except children) would be greatly facilitated. And down pillows should be offered to those of us who are used to them. The wifi is now much improved Overall, the hotel works very well for me , and I intend to continue to book there.
MelK (10/5): - It's well located on the Place de L Odeon. The room was very nice. Some negative comments: 1/the doorknow is hard to turn...too small 2/I hate those shower facilities where you have to stick the shower into a clamp and hope the clamp works, and sometimes it doesn't. 3/The breakfasts are expensive but good. Cheaper to eat breakfast out.

Donald (8/5): Great location - A great location close to so many cafes and sites on the left bank and handy to the nearest metro at Odéon and the Palais de Luxembourg gardens. While trying to give the room character however they overdecorated it and it became a bit dark since there wasn’t much natural light in the room. It was spacious though and the air conditioning during the heat wave was a godsend.

Rita (8/5): Staying in Paris, feeling in Provance - The hotel is small, with the atmosphere of a home in Provance: ivy clinging on the walls , a little ancient water fountain in the middle of the internal garden, rooms decorated with flowered paper walls and curtains, etc. The room was very quiet, pleasant and larger than the standard Paris rooms. The location is perfect, near the Luxemburg garden, Odeon, 5 minutes walking to the metro, train station and Monoprix.

My room was infested with them, and the hotel staff never moved me out of my room, and didn't want to give me any adjustment on my bill. I had to take several precautions not to bring these bugs back to my own home!!! They need to close down this hotel until they fix this problem.

The curtains were blackout curtains allowing us a great sleep. It’s a superb location in one of our favourite areas.

Paul (10/5): Quaint Hotel Centrally located in Latin Quarter - Our stay at Relais Medicis was fantastic! This quaint little hotel was centrally located in the Latin Quarter and was just a few blocks to the nearest metro station (Luxembourg). A short walk to Notre Dame. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were good size, given European standards, and were perfect for a family of 3-4. I would highly recommend this hotel as it was a great value for the price.

Andrew (8/5): Simple, convenient hotel with some charm - Nice neighborhood. 2 blocks to metro, 1 block to Luxembourg Gardens. Lots of bus access. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Room was a little odd but adequately equipped and comfortable. Street is a little noisy. Breakfast was 1 roll, 1 croissant, 1 pain au chocolat, a cup of plain yogurt, a cup of applesauce, a slice of ham and some packaged cheese. Unlimited orange juice and coffee. Staff was nice.

The staff was kind and helpful, and the location is excellent to visit the Museum of Louvre, and Notre Dame cathedral within walking distance. We are already planning another trip to Paris to stay in the same hotel.
