• Nancy (10/5): - On one end of the scenic village of Haliburton. There's a lake across the road. The shared bathroom is ultra modern. The beds were comfortable with new bedding. It was a bonus to have the use of an equipped kitchen. The rooms were on the 2nd floor, accessible only by stairs. Host met us at our pre-established arrival time.

• Randolph (8/5): - An old home which had been nicely converted into a B&B. Robert was friendly and helpful. The only issues we had pertained to the actual building: no individual bathrooms and stairs to the second floor.
• Rodney (8/5): - I really didn't have any issues with the place at all. It fit the purpose and it was in a nice quiet area close to a lot of amenities and restaurants. A little dated but that's about it.

I believe there is a communal bathroom outside the apartment upstairs which is not convenient during the night for those who require bathroom during the night ;) Not a deal breaker if you are sharing the two bedroom with family .

Perfect location, short walking distance into village and lakefront trails :) Unfortunately, facility details described on Expedia did NOT mention about SHARED Kitchenette on the 2nd floor. Very misleading and disappointed :(. Mentioned to host. Also, upstairs room amenities doesn’t match room info. Eg. No desk chair, laptop workspace. Unable to adjust air conditioning temperature. Room door cannot stay open, as required…need door stop Floors are very very squeaky and noisy. It was the kitchenette that I selected this place. due to dietary requirements, I cook my own meals so I brought all the groceries in advance and not able to use them :(. Hope this is rectified for future guests.
• Rosemary (10/5): - We rented the 2 bedroom unit and it was perfect. The only thing I would warn people about, is that the bathroom is in one of the bedrooms. We were with our daughter, so no big deal. This was clean, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, even coffee, tea, sugar and some spices. We would DEFINITELY recommend and return!

• Adrian (6/5): Better options for the price - Its simply ok. The owner has turned a very old house into a series of rooms or apartments, which do its best under the conditions. Nothing fancy, not worth the price. Gets away with it because of the town and everything is normally sold out. Wouldnt stay here again.

• Daniel (10/5): - We were only expecting a room for the night, but discovered a suite with a living room, dining room/kitchen, and two bedrooms awaiting our arrival. The building is a historic home, and the subdivision between guest areas is not 100% sealed, but it was beautiful. The owner was very friendly and took obvious pride in the B&B. We really wished we were staying longer, and absolutely will stay there again.
• Andrea (10/5): Great bed and breakfast to stay at... - Amazing time while staying at 23Maple. Where were very pleasant to deal with and upgraded my girlfriend and myself due to a double booking which worked out better for us. The location was perfect and close to everything in town. The bedroom was a great size and the bed so comfortable. We had so much room in the kitchen and living room area and the back deck was nice to sit out imon in the morning. The selection of breakfast items was nice to have. Would recommend abc stay here again.

The house is steps from the beach, downtown Haliburton where all of the restaurants are and a five minute drive from the Haliburton School of Art and Design. The room we rented was nice - comfy beds and linens. Be prepared to share a kitchenette and bathroom with the other guests in the house. Hosts were responsive and very nice. I would definitely stay there again!

• Verified traveler (8/5): A nice spot - I enjoyed my stay at this BnB. It was comfortable and clean. One thing to note is that the owner does have a tenant that lives there. She was very nice and made cookies for us! However she did have a male guest over and was playing music one of the nights we were there and sound does carry throughout the house, so we heard them the one night and other guests down stairs the other. Breakfast was good but I wished for other options than were available. Overall it was a good experience and I would stay again!

• Bruce (8/5): New B&B in Haliburton, Ontario - Very nice century old building that has recently been renovated into a B&B with renovations and improvements on going. The owner is very anxious to please and the rates at this hotel were well within the realm of affordability. We stayed in the smallest room on the second floor in single beds. The pillows offered were very thin and did not offer much support though the new bedding was fairly comfortable. The shared washroom was a modern showpiece with a large plexi glass walled shower, new 2 flush water saving toilet and a large sink. The water system is on a well but we found great water pressure and the water drinkable. Once the owner begins to bring the rest of the B&B to that level this will become a really good place to stay for a night or two. The hotel is accessed through a constantly locked door which is easy to use without any keys. It snowed considerably while we visited and found the steps and front porch to be cleaned of snow regularly. There is room to park 3 or 4 vehicles on site and owner has secured space across the street in case of overload. The flooring through out the B&B is original beautiful knotty pine. It has outlived it's usefulness other than for the look and ambiance. From the second floor looking through the gaps in the wood you can plainly see the first floor and also hear those that are down there. Repairing this and insulating between the floors really should be the next step the owner takes in renovating this beautiful old building.
