- Etandwa (10/5): -
- Kriel (2/5): Not a great experience - Nothing, I did not enjoy my stay. The room smelled molded and the one fan that was available was old , dirty and rusted. Not worth the money Nothing, I did not enjoy my stay. The room smelled molded and the one fan that was available was old , dirty and rusted. The blinds is broken and dirty Not worth the money

- Moodley (6/5): Good for short term stays - It was pleasant
- lizelle (7/5): Great value for money, great city location and good for a short stay. - The location of the property was close to centers and restaurants as well as the promenade. Great value for money. It was difficult to find parking on the street and not knowing the area we ended up parking in a center parking lot overnight and had to walk back to the accommodation. It wasn't far but inconvenient needing to drop the luggage and then drop the car and walk back on the first night in an unfamiliar area is not ideal.

- Sophie (4/5): Very disappointing! - Not applicable There was a major plumbing crisis that the host only informed me of on arrival at the gate. I was not yo flush the toilet (unless absolutely necessary) nor have a shower (or only very briefly), but there was a risk of any of this causing the sewage to overflow in the gkat below. Hence I did not feel OK to use thd shower at all nor flush the loo or relieve myself properly at all. I stayed out as long as I could, but had to leave early fof my flight the next morning. I had an event to attend at 3pm at Sea Point which is why I booked this spot for 1 night. There was no time by that point to find another place! I said to the host that I would try my best to not use the toilet or the shower but that I did not think this was worth the full price at R809 per night and asked for a refund on the sane day of check in. He never answered. I find this extremely unfair and unprofessional from a host. If he had told me even 1 hour before (when he was already clearly aware of the problem because he had already consulted with a plumber! ) I would have cancelled abd found a functioning space.
- Portia (7/5): The place itself was good enough - Perfect location for the purpose of the visit, Cape Town Marathon The lack of parking was stressful.
- de villiers (9/5): - Close to Promenade
- Lisa Amanda (8/5): -

- Mangar (10/5): Place was so safe that will make me come once again. Highly recommended! - Ian was very helpful. He helped us in all ways he could. Even the female staff was very polite on our day of check out.. Very thankful. Surely Coming very soon... Everything was beyond expectation!

- Glynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (3/5): Poor -
- Barbara (4/5): Has greater potential - The location The clean linen and towels. Warmness of host The place wasn't welcoming. No odor control. Little more effort to modernize inside area.
- Myles (4/5): basic -
- Reid (7/5): Good - Very nice apartment. Location ideal for a single woman on her own. They could do with a better wifi connection as was a bit intermittent. Also not much to watch on TV in the evening if you don't have your Netflix login code.
- Marcin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Da (10/5): Exceptional -
- Orris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wikus (9/5): Superb -
- Zahir (6/5): Great location and if you just need a place to sleep. - Bed was clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Rug was dirty and bathroom had no lights and slug was present in the shower.
The corrugated sheets in the shower and kitchen splashback instead of tiles made the place feel very cheap.
The string to the bedside light switch was broken and not fixed by the time we checked in.
- Gillis (8/5): Very good -
- Pipe (7/5): If you are looking for the best location to stay in Cape Town, this one is great - Location It was very light in the room, even at night
Very noisy
- Brigette (7/5): Good - Very clean and Staff were excellent Stairs to bathroom very scary
- Charlene (8/5): Very good -
- German (8/5): Very good - Good cost-benefit balance. The host was always willing to help. Its worth to mention for people really impressed about this, that 3/4 rats may come accross you in the path from the entrance to the apartment. Its supposed to be a general issue in Sea Point.
- Shihaam (8/5): Wonderful - Privacy, secluded and perfect for a stay over, my daughter didn't want to leave...will definitely book again, thanks Ian The door handle on the bathroom door is loose, suggestion, perhaps an air freshener in the bathroom would be useful as well & possibly a later check out time too, 11am, that would be awesome
- Petra (8/5): Good value for money. - The location was perfect for us. The host was very friendly. The studio was small, but the outline very practical. Some things are rather run down from long or heavy usage, e.g. shower, crack in windows. From the pictures in Booking we thought there would be access to a pool, but we couldn't find it.
- Swaine (8/5): Very good -
- Legend (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wessels (6/5): Dont like cape town anymore. Thought vultures are birds - Parking is a problem whilst cape town got a petty crime problem Shower, must dance around to get wet.
- Crystal (9/5): Superb - I love the location
- Lusanda (9/5): Superb - Accommodation was neat and clean. The location is great as transport and restaurants are easily accessible. Overall we were happy with everything. The TV could be installed with netflix and/or YouTube.
- Rheeder (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosey (7/5): Great stay if you're on a budget -
- Zitha (8/5): Very good -
- Renskie (7/5): Disappointing - It was a very central stay for visits in and around Seapoint.
It was equipped with necessary facilities designed for comfort, but these facilities unfortunately did not deliver up to the expectations at my time of stay. On my arrival, after a 24+ hour flight and road travel, I was looking forward to a nice, warm shower. The water was cold, and so was the weather at the time.
There were constant power cuts due to work done by the owner's/host's electrician.
The TV was not working in all 3 days I was there, and this was apart from the problem with the power cuts causing it.
There were workers doing repairs on cupboards etc, and have made a noise with music, apart from their work and communication with one another, of which some were in front of my studio while I wanted to have a peaceful rest after less than 5 hours sleep during my 24 hours travels from the UK.
I've sent the host/owner e-mails about problems from day one, where I've reported all the above. He only responded on the last day of my stay.
- Marcelle (8/5): Very good -
- Colin (8/5): Just what I was looking for - Very central. Nothing extremely happy with my stay
- Sume (8/5): Comfortable overnight stay - I stayed with my mom. Everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Very comfortable stay. Some lighting on the outside stairs up and in kitchenette would make it even better
- Yasseen (5/5): Passable - Self catering Needs an extension cord on the bedside
- Gary (10/5): Very good stay ... very happy .. - Very central location and all instructions clear ... Ian a great host .. Nothing
- Gaia (6/5): Comfortable and clean, parking is an issue unfortunately. - The apartment is smaller than the images but overall comfortable and clean. The apartment does not include parking which is fine but to find parking on the street is hard and we had to park 2-3 block’s away a few nights as all the parkings were taken by other residents/ people. We were also told to move our car multiple times as the parkings were “apparently booked/ reserved “ by other people. The parkings in the street are at least safe and we had no issues with safety.
- Esi (8/5): Very good - I liked how cozy it was and how everything was right there if we needed to warm food or take shower or make a cup of coffee The glasses had those lines of brokenness and some shattered as we switched on the microwave
- Morole (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the location and privacy it provided.
- Leo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (8/5): Cosy room in quiet off road - Good location ,near to shops and walking distance to Sea Point promenade. Room was light. Very grateful for wall heater .Bed was comfortable and WiFi a bonus .Fridge worked well . Bathroom very small and needs a bit of maintenance.Could hear noises from others. Electric plugs tripped twice .
- Lawrie (8/5): An honest appraisal. - Everything was in good working order We would have liked block out curtains. A lot of light coming from security and street lights.
Ian George tried to alleviate by directing a security light away from the studio.
The maid did not make the bed. She didn't come at all on the Saturday.
Not sure what the ruling is.
- Patricia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mariela (10/5): Exceptional - Close to public transportation, restaurants, groceries.
- Lusanda (9/5): Superb - The property is situated in a close location to beach, restaurants etc and is value for it's money. The utensils and bedding could have been cleaned properly. The heater took a while to get warm, so the room took a while to be warm.
- Micho (7/5): Good -
- Myks (10/5): Exceptional - The studio was cozy and comfortable. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The furnishings are cute with great interior . The location is convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby. Overall, a great place to relax and feel at home. Staff was friendly and even assisted with extension cord when I needed to do some work.
- Ronewa (8/5): Very good - The apartment had everything to use as indicated the day I arrived to check in there was a misunderstanding that led me to almost bitten by a dog while going to the office but it was all sorted
- Moloto (10/5): Excellent and value for money. - Location was excellent, safety and the studio Garden. Whish the same apartment again. Nothing
- Leonard (7/5): Comfy week long stay - The location is great, within walking distance of grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, and cafes. Also, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure/temperature of the shower was really nice. Check-in and check out process was smooth. Great value for money. Finding overnight parking for the rental car nearby was a breeze. As some others have noted, there is definitely a humidity issue. The room in Studio 2 was very moist. So much so that every morning there was condensation built up on the glass inside the room. Also, the issue with rats. During the day it was fine but arriving at night or leaving early in the morning we always came across rats running around the pathway from the unit to the main door. My wife was always a bit uncomfortable as there is not much lighting on the pathway.
Lastly, the internet for our unit was down the entire time. It never worked. We were told to try to connect to the next unit but it didn’t work for the first 3 days of our stay either. Finally when we did get it to work on the 4th day it was painstakingly slow. I don’t think that router could handle the bandwidth. I informed Ian about the issue but little was done to rectify it. I needed access to internet because I had to work some mornings. I ended up having to buy extra mobile hotspot data in order to be able to do that so keep that in mind.
A few minor things could be done to really improve the unit that I’m sure wouldn’t make the unit prohibitively expensive. 1: some automatic motion detecting lights in the driveway. 2: sealing the sink in the bathroom better so it doesn’t leak. 3: providing an extension plug or more outlets closer to the bedside table for easy access to charging electronics.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Sabina (9/5): Superb -
- Nick (9/5): Wasn't there much but it was perfect for my needs - Clean quiet. A place to put my head down for the night. Good facilities in the room. Loved the salt and pepper shaker. Batteries need replacing in the remote for the TV
- Nicolene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katinka (10/5): Exceptional - clean space, great location.
- Margaret (9/5): Superb -
- Monica (9/5): Awesome, beautiful, friendly, private place to be if you need some alone time with your partner. - This was an absolute pleasure staying at Highworth. It was a getaway for my partner and I and it was really very private, clean and tide. Ian was absolutely helpful and friendly. will definitely be booking this place again. Loved that it was situated near all the places we wanted to go to. A real couples dream place. Loved every moment of my holiday, I cannot complain about anything
- Michali (8/5): Good but needs a few adjustments. - Being close to the city and all tourist attractions is convenient for exploring and enjoying the local sights. Having friendly neighbors and living in a quiet and calm area can contribute to a peaceful living environment. It's great that there are local breakfast and lunch delis nearby, making it easy to grab a bite to eat. Additionally, the walking distance to sightseeing spots and bus stops provides convenient transportation options. Overall, it seems like a fantastic place to live or stay for tourists. I understand that power outages can cause issues with the electric gate keypad, and it can be inconvenient if you don't have your key with you. It's unfortunate that the intercom experience can sometimes be off-putting, especially late at night. It seems reasonable for tourists or even locals to expect such situations. Connecting the keypad to the inverter power during loadshedding could be a helpful solution to ensure its functionality.
It would indeed be a great consideration for the establishment to provide clean towels, even if the guests are not paying a high amount of money. While shampoos and conditioners may not be necessary for everyone, ensuring clean towels is a basic expectation that can contribute to a positive experience for guests
- Jennifer MengChu (10/5): - Though property is small, studio provides most of it can offer. 1st night of no hot water is due to electricity out from city.
- Deon (7/5): Very pleasant but not value for money - The bed was very comfortable, and tea coffee and sugar was provided. Also shower gel and shampoo. The cottage is centrally located and walking distance to local shops and restaurants. There was no aircon, only a small fan blowing hot air. The cottage is VERY small and space is a bit cramped. Even the basin in the bathroom is TINY and I struggled to wash my face and brush my teeth. There were also some ants in the kitchen and the blinds don't close completely, so people from inside can look in when you're taking a shower.
- Kim (8/5): Very good - Acc was better in real life than in the pictures :) 😃. Location for me was great.
