The fully-equipped kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave and coffee machine. Guests can enjoy mountain and garden views. There are 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, equipped with a bathtub with overhead shower and a separate toilet. The modern living area opens out onto the deck with dining room table, large couch and fireplace. The deck has seating with an umbrella and private BBQ facilities.

• Makoena (8/5): Except for the doors, I love the place. - Spacious, clean house May you please put stickers/ warning on the clear sliding doors? My colleague wanted to switch off the light and went straight through the sliding door, thinking that it was the open part. Fortunately, he didn't get hurt, but it could have been worse. Children could easily be hurt. Now, I could be paying for a broken glass, which was not out of negligence. I feel that it should not only be me paying for the cost (the owner must also share in the cost)
• GreekGeek97 (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay at Golden View. Everything was perfect. The place was also perfectly insulated which made the cold and rainy days a breeze to bear. The view from the kitchen window is stunning. Will certainly stay at Golden View again in the future!
• KAREN (8/5): Happy with the stay overall. - Clean,comfortable, well equipped. Hot water and super comfy beds. Nobody's fault but our own. Dad is elderly and has difficulty walking on uneven ground and unfortunately took a tumble. We would have been better off not staying in the unit on a slope. However, lesson learned. Will have to ensure booking in the future that units are on even ground.

• Frits (7/5): - The view is nice if you sit outside but unfortunately all doors and windows are covered in plastic foil which completely takes the view away when you are indoors, it also creates a poky atmosphere. The interior is good, nice bed, the kitchen complete. Location is good as well.

Staff obviously didn't clean properly. Some of the crockery and cutlery wasn't cleaned properly. Shower is a bit weird. Difficult to get perfect water temp. Either to hot or cold

• Danitza (8/5): Had a great time! - Place was easy to find and it was close to town. Liked the verandah with a bit of a view. It was clean and had enough of what was needed. The shower being in a bathtub was a challenge for the 76 yo lady, who's birthday we were celebrating. It was too high for her to get into. Perhaps it could also be mentioned that the main room has a wall to wall bed, which means it has to be accessed from the bottom - which is also challenging to older people.

All in all it was 2 days, well spent . The braai area was not covered . We could not use the area because it was raining so heavily. It would have been better if the rooms had ensuites. Some like their privacy. The rooms were lacking dress mirrors and just one room had a vanity area. Lastly , it was very hard for our vehicle to enter and exit the place because of the holes and rocks as you coming out of the gate. That should be a priority!

A lovely property with great gardens and mountain view. Not accessible for wheelchairs and disabled people who use a walker. It was difficult for the 86 year old lady to get from the driveway up to the front door and then the reverse at the end of our stay. No rails in the shower to assist the elderly. No complimentary toiletres, eg hand soap. Instant coffee would have been nice. No instructions available to use the coffee machine.

• Subin Kesavan (9/5): - When we arrived, our accommodation was occupied by another group who had mistakenly taken our keys from the self check-in lockbox, which resulted in a disappointing first impression. However, Lizelle handled the situation professionally and worked quickly to resolve the issue, although we did have to wait outside for a while. Aside from this initial inconvenience, the property is absolutely stunning and a wonderful place to enjoy quality time with family. We would definitely consider returning in the future.
• Alieza (1/5): Fernice nightmare - Open stoep The house is like a container. The sun beats down on most of the rooms making it feel like a sauna in the day with no air conditioning. The place isn't well maintained either... Floors chipped, fridge rusted, coaches tethered and shower trickles water. Left 4 days sooner! I really feel pictures are misleading with some sort of filter! Will not recommend to worst enemy.

We were very comfortable here, if only for the one-night stay. It was a short walk to town, where there were many options for restaurants and shopping. We also drove out to Golden Gate Park to view the animals. The beds were very comfortable, and the showers were hot with good water pressure. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. • David (10/5): Will be back again ! - The views and location were amazing - Was very happy to find that the photos of the property matched the property upon arrival, if not better ! Close enough to the centre of town but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The staff that serviced the unit everyday were very friendly and quick and the management were on hand at all times and checked in regularly to ensure everything was going well. Would recommend and will be back - Thank you
• Nicola (8/5): It was a lovely restful stay. - The beds were lovely and comfortable with warm blankets and duvets for the cold weather. The kitchen was also well equipped for making food. The property is close enough to town to walk, which is great. The gate entrance for the cottage is not the one shown in the picture online and it’s a very steep slippery driveway when it has been raining. There is also very limited space to park at the top and it’s difficult to turn if you have a large SUV with a bike rack on the back.
