Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): - At arrival there was no one there, the place was closed and also under a different name.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - understand that the name has been changed to FatDaddy's
the only complaint I could have of it is the lack of shampoo and the hotel size soap easily fixable by spending a couple of dollars at the store across the street
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Beautiful property with wonderfully friendly staff and refreshing pool. The cocktails were fresh and delicious. The location is conveniently close to the public beach however it is on a busy street that has traffic roaring by until late hours and beginning before 6 am. There was also loud music until the wee hours making sleep minimal. We still had a wonderful time!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place, great owner and staff. Close to the beach (just a block) and the couple of restaurants that are in town. I like this place better than the high priced hotel right next door.
- Steve (10/5): - Beautiful property with great scenery and perfect location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Increíble el personal y el restaurante y las instalaciones de lujo super recomendado
- Mari (8/5): - The room has all that you need, the bed and the bathroom were very clean and with all the facilities. The pool is perfect and the restaurant is delicious, although is close in the morning and noon.
The only thing that I ask for it the next time, will be a key for the garage, to arrive and go out in any time.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a great location. We had lots of spiders and mosquitos in our room. The floor was dirty and the comforter had dirt on it. There was a glass window missing in the bathroom (therefore the mosquitos could come in as they pleased). Overall it was a good stay just could’ve been more clean.
- Andrea (6/5): Nice hotel only steps from the beach. - very close to beach and local restaurants. The Numu restaurant has the best sushi in Costa Rica and lots of other good things on the menu. The room is small and nice, but there is no maid service. Also the rooms back up to the road, so noise is an issue.
- Danielle (10/5): Mellow Space - Our stay was wonderful. Beach was a short walk from hotel, many restaurant choices within walking distance. And most places let us bring our dog. We'll be back! Prices reasonable, great service and cool pool.
- Gloriana (10/5): Walk distance to the beach, beautiful building. - 1 night in the place and I want to comeback. The staff was really useful providing info about the surroundings. Potrero still a really calm place to stay.
- Su (10/5): Awesome staff awesome place - All the staff is amazing! The food is also incredible and the apartment is so beautiful and spacious
- Jessica (10/5): Well priced hotel a stones throw away from beach - The cabaña was huge. Very comfortable seating to lounge in. 2 large bathrooms with big showers in them. The beds were comfy, the open plan kitchen was nice to cook in while chatting to others sitting at the lovely big wooden dining table. The hotel had a lovely warm pool to swim in and provided a covered seating area to hide from the harsh sun. The restaurant was outstanding, not overly expensive, but food that takes your tastebuds to heaven and back. The hotel was a stones throw away from the sandy beach, a small but well-equipped supermarket handily placed across the road. The area was quiet and laid back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The service at Numu was GREAT (Just ask for Gus and he will make sure your stay is a good one - whether making you breakfast, drinks, or anything else!). We arrived early and there was no problem with getting into our place early; cleaning staff hadn't been there yet, but they let us drop everything off and we headed to the beach.
Beach is a short walk across the street and its beautiful. Not a busy beach; but that makes it really nice. It is also just a short walk to Playa Flamingo; another awesome beach, with more great restaurants and shops.
- Tracy (8/5): Happy stay in Potrero! - The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious, air conditioners were good, bed was comfy, but the best part was the staff. Gustavo was awesome, kind and helpful. The restaurant has a great menu and staff was happy to accommodate our special requests.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never book - Over booked hotel and my daughter and I had to go search for another hotel on a holiday weekend, which ended up costing me another 120 dollars.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing customer service on the beach - The customer service was incredible. Booking got messed up and they gave us a free night stay and free breakfast. Amazingly accommodating. Extremely nice staff. Was clean and safe.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good choice for short stay - The owner of this hotel is Canadian so the decor, food and cleanliness is better than a lot of hotels in the area. The room is small but has a big wardrobe and dresser. It was super clean and modern too. I almost hate to mention the drawbacks but.......it doesn't have a mini-fridge for keeping drinks cold and it's right on, a main road so you here the traffic.
- Floyd (10/5): Muy Bueno! - Gaston, the property manager, was very friendly, helpful with local directions. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Three minute walk from the beach. Our room was very nicely decorated and confortable. The restaurant has a gourmet menu with great fish dishes and surperb vegetarian options. The service was excellent and the atmosphere made for a memorable experience. OVERALL: Loved our stay!!!
