- Eric (6/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful. Property is old and has aging sign everywhere. Room carpet has a number of dirt marks. Very hot in the restaurant during dinner and breakfast. Good about this property is it is very close to the walk tracks of Noboribetus.

- ota (6/5): - 自動チェックイン機があったので、 チェックインしたのですが、 大浴場や客室のシャワーの調子が悪く、 復旧していない事を事前に知ることができず、客室で冷たいシャワーを浴びる事に… お手頃なお値段でしたので、 こんなものだろうと受け止めました。 夕食のバイキングでは、 コーヒーゼリーの横のカルーアミルク、 小学生くらいの自分で取りに行ける子供くらいになると、 わからず、かけてしまうのでは？と 心配になりました。 朝食のバイキングは、 ごはんのお供が充実していてとても良かったです。

- Martin (6/5): Not recommended hotels - An old hotel with most of staff don’t speak English well. The breakfast is good but the dinner is very simple like Cafeteria food. Ohsen is so so, not very impressed. The room is ok, every time opening door with loud noises as you had to push hard to close the door properly. Overall all, this is not the hotel that I recommend.

- Keri (8/5): - This was a pretty nice ryokan/onsen. Positives: The staff were friendly, and they even had a reserved shuttle bus that will take you from the hotel to New Chitose Airport. The dinner and breakfast buffet was also great because they tried to serve local Sapporo/Hokkaido delicacies. Like, we were able to do our own gengiskhan lamb cooktop for our buffet dinner (which is only found mainly in Hokkaido). Negatives: it was so crowded! This is a big ryokan so there were tons of people checking in and out and smoking and making noise too. Since there were so many people, elevators were crowded and the public insensitive were crowded. There were no private onsen reservations from what I am aware. Having so many people kind of took away from the experience of bathing, eating, and sleeping peacefully here.

- MyDestiny2024 (2/5): Dirty hotel - Avoid this hotel. Luckily we only stayed for one night. Our room has 2 single beds & 3 futons. The room is very dirty with spider webs at corners of the room, dust on towel rail, exhaust fan on top of shower is very very very dusty. The room slippers are not disposable; which means it is use by every hotel guest. With the room condition, I am not confident they clean the slippers. And probably the public onsen is not hygiene. You can look for other hotel or consider staying in Lake Toya area.

- Stephane (8/5): - Nice traditional Japanese hotel. Room was spacious aside from the bathroom which is extremely small. Air conditioning in room was minimal however the hotel provided us with a fan. The staff at the hotel are very kind and helpful. The hotel is in need of upgrading. Carpets were worn and dirty. The public bath was nice and relaxing however in need of upgrading too. The buffet was good with many different food choices. The shuttle to and from the airport and train station was very practical.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Helt okej - Hotellet var rent men något gammalt och slitet. Tyvärr kändes personalen lite mindre gästvänliga och man fick en känsla av att man störde. Vid middagen var det väldigt mycket stoj/skrik och rörelse bland gästerna vilket drar ner betyget. Läget var superbra i förhållande till fotbad och hell valet. Hotellets onsens var fantastiska, fanns många olika bad.

- janelle (4/5): - We got the japanese style room and were given a shower. However, the hot water is not hot even though you turn it all the way. The room is dusty especially the curtains, the window screen and some dust on the furniture. The bedroom itself is so hot too! On our first night, we ask if they will set up the futon bed but it is so hard for the staff to understand what i am saying due to limited english speaking. So we ended up setting our own futon bed. The futon were on the thinner side so be prepared to get a back ache a little bit. The dining (dinner/breakfast) is so packed and very busy so you have to line up for the food and drinks. The staff are fast to replenished the food and the seat arrangement are easy to get. Our second night, the room was clean, there were two men came to our room to set up our futon bed in a nicer way. I requested a cooling fan but the front desk didn’t understand me again and hang up the phone :-(. The good thing in here was the onsen that you can relax. They also have a massage services that open at 3pm for 14500 yen you can get a 2 hr massage.

- HYUNGSOO (2/5): I don't want to think about it. - Before I lwent on the trip, I asked tthe hotel about he reservation for shuttle bus using Hotel.com's request method.. There was only OK sign from the hotel without any comment, At the hotel, a hotel rmployee said "If there is no answer, the reservation has not been made, and the seats are full . Therefore I had to spend a lot of time and money more.

- Jennifer (8/5): - The staff were wonderful and very helpful despite my husband and I knowing very little Japanese. We rented a private bath which was lovely. The facilities do need some updating, but the location was great. It was a very easy walk to dining, Seven 11, and the hiking trails. We also had a delicious breakfast buffet with so many different options.

Our room was clean, but amenities were scarce - there were no Ocha cups nor drinking glasses in the room and had to be requested. The onsen was nice, and food was pretty good.

- Michelle (8/5): - Amenities is great, staff is friendly and helpful. Clean and the room is spacious. The only downside was our room was close to some air conditioner motor kind of thing and it ran all night. It’s also a bit far from the Main Street. Other than that it was a good stay.
- b0blimtg (10/5): Roomy Ryokan and great onsen experience - Good experience, especially liking the onsen and buffet breakfast and dinner that comes with the room rates. We also get Yukatas throughout the stay. Parking is free and in front of the hotel. Our Ryokan room was also roomy, with 2 beds and enough room for another 4 futons easily.
- Yasmine (10/5): - We loved our stay at this hotel and wished we had more than one night to spend in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was well run, despite being enormous (taking up 3 separate buildings). My husband and I loved the onsens and sauna, and especially magical was sitting in the outdoor onsen with snow falling on us. The dinner and breakfast buffets were also outstanding, with plenty of vegetarian options for my husband. We hope to be able to return to this area in a different season in future, and when we do, we'll definitely try to stay here again.

- jatlhawks (2/5): Do not stay here - Most disappointing ryokan experience. We stayed for 3 nights so we could maximize onsen time. However, the hotel is completely disorganized and gave no information about bath times. From 10am-2pm all baths are closed for cleaning. Leaving no advantage to stay here.
- Wai Hung (10/5): Wonderful hot spring hotel - The room was clean and comfortable. Also, the dinner and breakfast were good. We had a very Happy trip.
- Akaroa8864 (2/5): Bad smell in toilet and no internet signal - We stayed in this hotel from 27-30Dec,2019. We suffered from the bad pee smell from toilet of our room and got no internet signal in our room . We don’t want to come back for the same bad experience and we don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. - DadTravelOrganiser (4/5): Dated, but could also be so much better without a refresh - Let's start with some of the facts about this place: * It is clean, and whilst everything is dated, it seems well maintained. * The onsen is lovely - on the roof, inside and outside with tree-top views. * The location is good, with an easy walk to all the sights that you want to see and the town. * There is easy parking, not on-site, but just up the road. But things could be so much better. To be honest, I was glad we only were staying 1 night. I would agree with other reviewers that the service is not as good as you often experience in Japan. The restaurant whilst fine is not terribly inspiring. It does appear that the hotel is a regular recipient of corporate groups, which can lead to really busy times in the restaurant, which the team seem to struggle with. Having said all of this, I did debate with the travel agent who was helping with our trip whether to stay here. It does appear that there are a number of uninspiring choices in Noboribetsu. If you feel the price is ok, do stay here as the location is fine and sleep ok, but if weighing up whether to eat in or out, perhaps go with eating out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The shuttle bus itself to airport is good and convenient , however, what I wanna point out is the bus driver. We had a lot of luggages and were struggling with the trolley on the slope to the bus, it was raining, we could hardly manage to get the trolley to the bus, out of my surprise, the bus driver was just standing beside the bus 5 meters away watching us and didn't show any interest in giving us a hand at all. He didn't help us with loading and unloading our luggages at all either, just standing beside us and watching us struggling with the luggages ourselves. This is not the kind of a Japanese hotel service we experienced and expected at all. Even the public bus driver would have been offering help with luggages. Front desk service was good, but the shuttle bus driver, I hope your hotel could do something with the shuttle bus service to improve customer experience.
- KL (6/5): Hotel Stay OK only - Booked a Double Room for 2 pax but only 1 pillow was provided upon check in. Requested for a hairdryer upon booking time, but upon check in no hairdryer was provided in room. Request from reception ,was told no more stock. Ask us to go to Onsen room to use hairdryer there. We complain only they go find a haidryer. Daily buffer and dinner food choice are the same. Only good bus from Noboritbesu Station stops in front of the hotel and Onsen is great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location of the hotel is very near to the natural footbath. From there, can access the nature walk very easily. Bus stop is just outside the hotel; it’s very convenient to go there by bus. The hotel provides free shuttle to/from Sapporo once a day. You can go to their website to make online reservation. Room is basic but clean. The buffet dinner and lunch is acceptable. Staff at reception and restaurant are friendly and efficient.
- Niko (10/5): - Very nice rooms, spacious and with both Japanese and western styles mixed. Good breakfast and good dinner. Very close to the public foot bath.
- maytasj (10/5): One night onsen heaven - We stayed for only a night but I managed to spent quality amount of time for onsen. The rooftop onsen was great with choices of services such as jet bath, outdoor, regular with stunning view. I stayed during Golden Week so many people. Avoid peak hour should help. Dinner was soso but breakfast exceeded our expectations. Hope to spend longer stay next time.
- Lordohs (4/5): Other better options - Like many mention here hotel is dated and old. You have kids running around the onsen with their dad constantly screaming at them and guest of a certain nation talking loudly inside the bath. Flooded with tour group. No hairdryer in room. Food is horrible... don’t even bother buying their meal package. Only consolation probably is the futon bed, fall to sleep almost instantly and slept through the night.

- scoot69 (6/5): Typical touristy hotel - Stayed one night. Room was large, with an extra sitting area attached, though the decor was rather dated. We had some trouble locating the light switches because they were all over the room. Nothing much to say about the hotel except for the fact that it has some hot bath options. We only managed to visit one of them on the 7th floor. It was large and indoors, typical bath, with not that many amenities provided. Dinner and breakfast was buffet style in a large dining area. Selection and quality was average.

- Gazza (6/5): - Ok hotel with good onsen but they could not get me a taxi at 11am!! The bus to JR Station had gone and I had to walk to the main road outside to flag a cab back to the hotel!!
- Chit Poh (8/5): - I've email the resort to confirm booking and asking the direction if we take bus. however, they never get back to us. staff not helping when we struggled in the snow storm. please get yourself a 50 min private onsen, its relax and chill. buffet dinner was good, variety of choices.
- thye chong (10/5): Excellent Stay - Clean, ample facilities, excellent breakfast & dinner.
- Guest (8/5): - Room is spacious. Bathroom is very tight and could have been made bigger with the spaciousness of the room.
- GuruDhina (8/5): - This property is nice and we stayed Japaneses Style room with children. Room and restroom are clean, but very small bathroom/toilet. Breakfast is reasonable and but the dinner is good number of choices. We didn't used the onsen due to very crowded. Carpark is just outside, the staff helped. Overall the stay was good.
- Bazaaa (2/5): Dismal - Stayed overnight. Important points are: Room: old and dated. Evidently our room was a smoking room and everything including linen smelt of cigarette smoke. No hair dryer in the room; you are expected to go up to the main bath. Meal: our dinner buffet was noisy, crowded, with average to ok food. One male manager in particular was shockingly rude as he bluntly attempted to correct my cutlery use (“NO! THIS IS THE BOWL FOR SUSHI, NOT THIS”). Frankly the staff here (and the hotel in general) appeared rushed and lacking the usual Japanese omotenashi. One interesting point was that there did not appear to be a Japanese patron in the massive buffet dining area, despite there being plenty in other communal areas of the hotel. Given that the website states there being two buffet restaurant places, I have a suspicion that they segregate Japanese and non-Japanese customers into different dining halls. Bath: the quality of onsen water is excellent, but bathing facilities so-so. Private bath costs an eye watering 3,200 yen for 50 minutes (establishments in other area charge as little as 1,000 yen for similar usage). Location: this hotel is further away from Noboribetsu onsen town than any other, and includes a 10 minute uphill walk that can be perilous in winter. There are definitely better located places in town. Overall, not at all a good value for money and an unpleasant experience. I will avoid this place in future specifically. There would be better places in this town for sure.
- Sookwan (8/5): Nice hotel with fairly reasonable price - This hotel is one of the most famous hotel for group tour, because of I think, it's fair rate. a lots of people in and out every day and night. Very reasonable price comparing with other hotels around. You can find a little nicer hotel near by, but not with this good rate. However, hotel is still in good condition. Nice Japanese style room, nice hot spring, and fairly good dinner and breakfast. I will definitely come back.
- Pachelbel1998 (6/5): Hotel is dated and room is small. Not worth the money paid for - Booked this hotel after reading the reviews in Tripadvisor. Having paid about 64000yen for a Japanese Style Room for 2 nights for my family of 4, i was expected to be greeted by a high class hotel with big room. However, upon reaching the hotel, i was greeted by old and stained looking carpet in the lobby. During check-in, i tried to change my booking to a Western style room but was told it's fully booked and only smoking room is available. Decided to keep to my original booking. The room given to us was very small. The tatami bed was not set up. Hence, we hv to set up the tatami bed. After setting up the bed, there was basically no walking space luggage space. On the 2nd day, before we left for our sightseeing, we have stacked our mattress together so that the housekeeping staff has space to walk around during their housekeeping. However, upon returning, we were shocked to see that our beds have been undone and or mattresses have been packed into the cupboard. This means that we have to go through the hassle of setting up our beds all over again. In addition, i have placed my shower cap beside the wash area in the toilet. When i returned, it was gone. Apparently, the housekeeping staff had thrown it away this is the first time i had encountered my shower cap being thrown away during housekeeping. I was very disappointed as the hotel does not provide shower cap at all. Last but not least, the hotel is located above a slope. To get to the town area, you will have to walk down the slope and it takes about 10 mins to reach the town area where all the shopping is. I will not recommend this hotel to families with young children or senior citizens. There are other hotels that are in close proximity to the town
