Guest Reviews
- Tom (10/5): - Definitely recommend The Fleece Inn!
Really good property to stay at for a really good price, the staff were extremely accommodating, always making our stay as welcoming as possible, breakfast was great, and the pub itself is perfect for a drink and a lovely meal!
- Ann (8/5): - Very interesting property, room was very small with just a bed ,side tables and drinks table . Excellent food and very cosy with log fires .
- Philip (10/5): - Characterful old building with cosy fires
- Bryan (10/5): - Historic inn. Like staying in a museum. Such a cool historic vibe. Room was small, but adequate. Breakfast was outstanding. There happened to be a ceilidh dance on in the barn that night. We joined in and had a blast. Very memorable stay. One for the life books for sure. Recommended
- Nigel (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely old pub, always busy which was lovely to see. Great pub garden.
Room was a little small, but fine for a solo traveller.
All the staff were fantastic so friendly and could not do enough for you.
Breakfast was really good, more than most people can eat.
Would drfinitely stay again.
Recommend trying their pies they were fantastic.
- Louise (6/5): - This was super hard to rate, because the staff were absolutely lovely, very accommodating and just lovely people! The pub was old and quaint and in a lovely place, very beautiful. The issue was the bedroom was extremely small, very very hot, the bed wasn’t very good and there were a lot of noises. The bathroom also needed re doing, it just looked very tired. I appreciate it’s probably a listed property and extremely old, so it may be that they are limited on what they can do. Breakfast was included which was a nice touch, it was fairly average food. It did job for a night as we were at a wedding near by, but I wouldn’t be able to stay any longer. The staff and service were 10/10 though!
- Amanda (10/5): - We stayed in the shepherds hut which was very clean and charming. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I highly recommend staying at The Fleece Inn
- DAVID F (10/5): Great - Great pub. Great food. Great location. Accommodation in the pub a bit “compact” but overall we loved the place
- Jayne (10/5): - A treat of an overnight stay at a favourite pub of ours. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Always lots going on at The Fleece and the landlord is a great guy who goes out of his way to ensure the best he can.
- Robert (10/5): - Amazing place with soo much history in every corner.
- JOHN (10/5): Stay at the Fleece - Memorable, friendly and very enjoyable
- Robert (10/5): Magic place - Arrived just as it was getting dark and felt it was like going back in time as travellers must have felt. A warm friendly haven.
- Kurt (10/5): Brilliant - Absolutely amazing Pub/Hotel, room was superb, parking was easy and the breakfast was first class.
- N B (10/5): Absolute Positivity - It's absolutely beautiful and peaceful, the pub and everyone who works there are fabulous, and the food was great too. Can't speak highly enough.
- Stephen (10/5): - Wonderful staff, great food.
- YVONNE (10/5): - It had a feeling of history and the rooms made you feel you were back in time. Yet the facilities in the room were modern. The breakfast eaten there was fantastic - best ever!
- Natasha (10/5): - The Fleece Inn food was exceptional and this was definitely a relaxed character filled stay. Would definitely stay again!
- Michael (8/5): - Small inside room with ensuite no chair as room small but clean, and comfortable
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Picturesque historical pub in centre of friendly village. Lovely staff in busy lively pub. Super dog friendly. Lovely orchard type garden to exercise dog. Top of Cotswolds with plenty of places to visit nearby. Would definitely stay again.
- Valters (10/5): - Amazing place, the best dinner and nice breakfast and dog friendly. Want to go again. And tasty ale
- Helen (10/5): Wonderful experience - Our recent stay at The Fleece far surpassed any hopes or expectations we had. It is a wonderful place , steeped in history , character and atmosphere . The staff were excellent, particularly Simone , Sarah, Nigel and the waitressing staff. The food was superb . We absolutely loved being there and didn’t want to leave ! Thank you everyone at The Fleece .
- Carol (8/5): - It was interesting. An old, listed building full of character.
Bedroom was fine, stairs not for the faint hearted or someone who wasn't sure footed !
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very poor - The caravan was extremely small with nowhere to sit except a very small wooden encasement close to the floor. There was really just room for the bed (which to be fair was comfortable and clean). A small shelf near the kettle was not level so a drink slipped and soaked our shoes, thankfully it was not hot and we were in bed at the time. The outside shower/sink/toilet was in very poor condition. The shower was almost cold, had very little water flow and the fixture was weak so it fell out of the bracket easily. The outside decking to the shower was extremely slippy (we both slipped on this) and the steps down from the caravan were dangerous in our view. There were quite loud animal noises close by for almost all of the time during our stay, so that, plus heavy rain, prevented a good night’s sleep. I would strongly advise against staying here. The other reviews and photos are not representative of how poor this is in our opinion.
- David (10/5): Fleece inn Stargazer - Absolutely amazing great friendly staff and service the food was fantastic, definitely recommend this place to anyone
- eleonora (10/5): - Just a perfect stay, the caravan is lovely and the surrounding are beautiful. We enjoyed the evening at the pub and it was so gooood! We will be back!
- B (10/5): - The Fleece is a wonderful Olde Worlde Pub, with great meals, open fires and great ale, definitely worth a visit
- Stephanie k (8/5): - Charming historical building. Lots of options for sitting outside with heating. The food was very good. I loved the dining rooms with original fireplaces; very romantic as each dining room only has 4 or 5 tables so everyone is close to them. The inn has only one room, which is small but comfortable. There is a quaint gypsy caravan site for 'glamping.' This inn is a hub for locals and tourists alike making it very busy. Manager, Nigel, is a wonderful host.
