Guest Reviews
- frank (10/5): - Great location right around the corner from the Omni. Property was great. Kitchen and washer dryer made everything easier.
- oscar (10/5): - .
- Cheryl (8/5): - I really enjoyed my stay here. It was close to broadway and very clean. My only suggestion would be the lighting in the bathroom is not good. Being a woman and needing to put make-up on this was not good…but everything else was perfect.
- Kendon (8/5): - The bed is comfortable and the couch is just okay. The kitchen area was clean and offered soaps and such. I have stayed here twice now and my other room was much nicer. The only thing I loved was that I was on the first floor this time and didn’t have to drag my luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
The room however is under renovation apparently. I wasn’t compensated nor even acknowledged when asked about it. There are no floors. There is rust and debris. The baseboards aren’t even attached. For the amount I paid I was appalled. There is also no fan and very little ventilation in bedroom and no lighting. I pay a cleaning fee but I’m not sure where that’s going because there really was much to be desired. Also I see now it’s owned by someone else and the prices have doubled! I’m in shock. I like the location and the parking but now asking $500+ a night will be a no go for me.
- clara (10/5): - Great location
Walkable to downtown and Nissan Stadium
Free parking
- Greter (10/5): - Love the mid century modern vibe! It was clean! Parking was easy and free!
- Ahmed N (10/5): - Clean studio, great location. Parking spot was helpful.
- Kyle (10/5): - Nice place
- Sheba (10/5): - Everything was good! It was walking distance to the board walk, very clean, comfortable bed & everything we needed was in the hotel from refrigerator microwave stove etc... The only thing it was a non smoking hotel with no smoking area & my finance was a smoker. He had to walk off the premises every time he took a smoke.
- Mary (10/5): - Great location in downtown area with free parking. Walking distance to many attractions.
Was an apartment setup. Very clean, quite, wonderful bedding. Full kitchen, washing machine, dryer. Everything you could possibly need.
- Jason (10/5): - .
- Emily (10/5): - This place is amazing! Well decorated, clean, has everything you need. Within great walking distance to Broadway. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay to experience Nashville.
- Tony (8/5): - Attended a conference that was heldnat the Omni Nashville hotel. So this location was perfect, less than 5 minute walking distance. Much better pricing than staying at the Omni. Grabbed not a lot of amenities (e.g., pool) but i want here for pleasure. I just needed a place to sleep and store my stuff. I do like that there's a kitchenette if you want to save money or prefer cooking while thwre is a sawfe in the room and a combo washer dryer for laundry bot were out of order and unusable. This is the only ding i can give. Otherwise, great location, (though its not on the main strip where the bigger hotels are as it is a block behind so it looks sketchy at forst but it's not), clean room, easy check in and out, cold AC (absolute must have), great shower water pressure and the king bed was super comfy. I would book again the next time I'm in Tenessee.
- Brittany (10/5): - Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Nashville! Broadway is a short walk. Room was clean and decorated nicely. We also found the bed very comfortable.
- Rodney (6/5): - The property was a little off Broadway Street but still just a short walk away. But on the downside of the stay::
The couch looked and felt like it was a cheap idea couch that was found 2nd hand. The cushions sunk into the frame and it was uncomfortable. The TV was basically useless since I didn't have an Apple TV account. There were no local channels that I could find. The light above the shower burned out so I told the maid about it who was cleaning the next room. She said she'd fix it but it never got fixed.
- Pierre-Louis (8/5): - We like the place. It’s clean. A little problem: on the terrace, first day, there were 2 itinerants try to have our drinks. Not funny. Just a recommandation: do a fence can resolve the problem. Maybe also, it’s not very often that happens.
- Anna (8/5): - Decent spot to stay, the AC went out and they got it fixed for me quickly. Not the most updated or renovated but safe and fine to stay in.
- Barb (10/5): - Clean beautiful great location
- Jenny (10/5): - The check-in and check-out process was extremely easy. The apartment was clean and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do/experience. Included parking was a plus, as we had a rental car. We would definitely stay again!
- Jeff (10/5): - Great location!
- Shane (10/5): Great Place - Great place to stay. Felt like an apartment
- Jeff (10/5): - Great location, solid amenities, and a fun, comfortable space for us to explore Nashville from. Great venues mere blocks away.
- Dawn (10/5): Very happy with my choice to stay here - This was such an awesome place, I loved everything about it. Such a cute place in a great location, in the middle of so many tall hotels. My 1st time traveling alone and it was super-easy. It was an incredibly short walk to where I was going (Ascend Amphitheater), and tons of other amenities. I would definitely stay there again!
- Lauren (10/5): - We loved this spot! They’re older apartments that have been renovated for guest stays. Loved the full kitchen! Our only notes… the building is not air conditioning, there are units in each room. Our unit was in the living room, but none in the bedroom so it was a little stuffy in there. There is a fan in there but it is small… and overhead fan would be ideal. There is no TV in the bedroom and the bathroom is not in the room but around the hall… nothing that would knock down the rating, just notes! Beds were comfy and we were a 10 minute walk to Broadway and a 20 minute walk to The Gulch! The free parking was the best part! Would absolutely stay again!
- tracy (10/5): would stay again - exceeded my expectations. great location- a short walk to gulch and Broadway without being too loud and busy.
bed was comfy, room was super quiet. our room (with living area/kitchen) was very very clean.
100% would recommend.
- Jennifer (6/5): - A great location and the staff seemed well organized. The room was clean, but in poor repair. There was no flooring, just stained concrete floor, wall panels were missing and baseboards/quarter round were not affixed properly and kept coming off with nails still attached making it dangerous to walk without shoes. The room across the hall had beautiful hardwood floors. Would have been nice if we'd been given a discount or even an apology for being given a room that is obviously under construction.
- Leanne (10/5): - We liked that it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do.
We didnt like that we couldn't work the tv.
We loved the room. Everyone we met there was so nice. Overall we had a great experience.
- Teresa (10/5): - Safe, clean and comfortable place to stay within walking distance to Broadway. I liked how it was close to the action but peaceful and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The price was also reasonable compared to the other hotels just a little bit closer.
- Jennifer (8/5): Great location! - Nice location. Appreciated that parking was included. Some surfaces, like the nightstands, weren't clean when we arrived, but otherwise, it was a nice spot.
- Dan (10/5): - Only a couple of blocks from Broadway
- Troy M (10/5): - The only things i didn't care for were the comfort of the love seat and bed. I understand you need durability, but the live seat was extremely hard snd uncomfortable. One other thing was that having only apple tv wasn't really convenient. We didn't spend much time there other than the rainy day. It was overall a great place.
- Deborah (8/5): - A
- Bobbi (10/5): - Definitely staying again
- Barbara (10/5): - The location was perfect. Once we parked the car we walked everywhere. The TV was complicated and wouldn’t turn off, that was frustrating, but not a deal breaker.
- lucia (8/5): - Location was perfect. All info including codes to get in building were sent to my email, making it a smooth check in/out.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and nicely renovated building. Check in and exit was a breeze. Parking alone is worth $10-20.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was exactly what they claim it is.
- maurice (10/5): - Very nice location and close to downtown.
- Mary (10/5): Walking Distance to everything - Hotel is clean. Bed is comfortable. Full mini kitchen. Large, clean bathroom and shower. Sofa was meh but its nashville so you won't be sitting around much. Would stay again
- Denis (10/5): - Great location, close to Broadway, but yet just far enough away to have a little peace and quiet. There’s a grocery store a couple blocks away, which made it easier to be able to get the necessities. Very nice clean place to stay.
- Stephanie (10/5): Best location! - We enjoyed our stay… The location was fantastic and it was appointed very nicely! It made our Nashville visit a great success… We literally walked everywhere we wanted to go
- Raymond (10/5): - Very nice place
- Ryan (6/5): Keep looking - Fairly worn out room. Safe was not working and labeled as our of order, drier was not working and labeled as out of order. The soda bed was wired shut (I assume also out of order) and the wire was exposed and cut my partners leg open when she sat down
Was fairly clean with the exception of a mouldy shower curtain that was unpleasant.
Wouldn't go back
- Debbie (8/5): - Convenient location, very clean
- John (10/5): - It was nice being able to walk everywhere.
- Adam (4/5): - I was disappointed in my experience with Black Swan. While the facilities were nice and clean, I did not like the hidden fees associated to the booking. $160 fee as a “facilities fee” (billed right at check out and before you arrive) seems like a way to lure you into booking the trip with a deceptively low daily rate advertised and then they make their extra money on the back end. Why not include the fee in your daily rate??
I was also promised amenities that were not present in the room (such as the in room safe). This might be a miscommunication between Expedia and Black Swan, but I called and spoke to someone at Expedia before booking and they assured me I would have a safe. This wasn’t the case at all and I was left with carrying around my valuables through my whole trip. The room also has a washer and dryer onsite, none of which worked. They labeled the AC, the safe, the washer/dryer all with “out of service” labels…
There is also no one onsite. This is one of those companies that rents rooms and then rents to you at a daily rate. There is a customer support phone number, but no one onsite to talk to or resolve issues. You basically have to communicate with someone via text messages about any questions or concerns, and they respond during normal business hours. This is fine but good to know it isn't like a traditional hotel.
All in all, I would have never booked with this facility had I known about the fees and non-functional systems onsite and other nuances.
- Edward (10/5): - It was and surpassed my expectations. The apartment was just gorgeous.
- John (10/5): Good place to stayj - Needed to contact host response immediate. Everything as expected. No surprises. Parking excellent. We’d definitely visit again and will recommend to others.
- Daniel (8/5): - Nice.
- Caroline (10/5): - This is a condo hotel so there's no front desk. It does create some problems, but not insurmountable. The one thing I disliked is the door does not lock behind you. You have to re-enter the code which I think is a safety issue.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Place was great! Only thing was the hot water ran out almost immediately after being in the shower for a few minutes.
- Tetsuya (10/5): - Super easy check-in/check-out process. Spacious room with kitchen items, washer & dryer. Stable wi-fi.
- Daniel (8/5): - Decent property
- Annette (8/5): - .
- Linda (8/5): Downtown gem! - Fantastic location to walk to anything downtown. We went to Billy Strings concerts at Bridgestone and Ryman and only time we used our car was to go to a restaurant and shopping outside of downtown. Only drawback was we were on 3rd floor(no elevator) and the room was warm. A/C does not cool fast and only cools the main room. Bedroom still warm. Otherwise good use of our money.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Right near all of the action in Nashville musically, but separated enough that you won't be up all night.
I wish they had some more information for guests about what to do, or where the nearest grocers are and stuff like that. But overall, that is small potatoes and I can very clearly look up that stuff online.
- Lisa (10/5): - Place was nice, had everything we needed, liked the necessities that were left for guests, cream, shampoo, conditioner, soap & my husband appreciated the sound machine for sleeping at night, enjoyed it so much we bought one, convenient for walking to Broadway. The only small thing that was a bit difficult was figuring out the Apple AirPlay on tv, younger generation would have no problem figuring it out, but we as 60 yr olds had a tough time but eventually got it.
- Angela (10/5): - Cute, clean and cozy. Great location easy walk to everything Nashville. Only missing A TV in the bedroom. Great communication, spacious amenities. Will definitely stay again.
- James (8/5): - Apartment was super as well as closeness to activities
- Jeffrey (10/5): - great location
- YURIY (8/5): - This is my second time staying at this property. I like its location; it is just a block from Nashville Music Center and a 7-minute walk from Broadway. It is also easy to check in and check out. As for me, it was too humid indoors, but it could be because the weather outside wasn't sunny.
The kitchen is well-equipped, and Olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee, and sugar are always available.
It is not the newest one, but it is well-maintained.
- Paul (10/5): Great stay - Great place to stay. Close to Broadway and many close bars and restaurants. Room was very clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. It rained during our visit and the dryer was out of service so that was unfortunate. I would definitely recommend and i will stay again next time.
- Izzy (10/5): - About a 5 minute walk from Broadway, super nice! Has a nice kitchen included with a little living room and bedroom. Loved staying here!!
- David (2/5): - I will start with the good part. The towels were nice. Other than that there isn't much good to say. The flooring was pulling up creating a trip hazard. There was mold in the shower. The shelf in the shower where you would put your toiletries is heavily rusted. The towel rack is loose and about to tear out. The doors aren't hung properly and jam when you try to close them. There is no heat or cooling in the bedroom. If you close the bedroom door it gets very cold in the bedroom. Every other night around 1am the trash truck comes to empty the dumpsters. The one night where the dumpsters weren't being emptied someone entered the apartment below mine and had an hour long argument on the phone. Then they slammed the door on their way out. To top it off they are cheap on the coffee they provided. The concept of a short term apartment rental is nice. However, the implementation is poor.
On to the staff. Once you make your non-refundable reservation you will find out they want way too much personal information. They have no protection for your information and if you don't like it you don't have to stay there but they are keeping your money. There information requirements are over the top and are unnecessary. The staff are simply jerks!
- Jonathan (10/5): - As advertised…loved the location and convenience
- Brian (6/5): - Nice location, only 4-blocks from Broadway. Reasonable price. I thought it was odd that they would charge me per person for early check-in. I understand a fee, but Per person, really?
- Hannelore (10/5): - Great Location
- Tom (10/5): - Great place to stay! Plenty of room. Full kitchen. Comfy bed.
- Chad (8/5): - Still doing some renovations but a great property with a great location. Will stay again in the future next trip to Nashville.
- Mark (10/5): Comfy bed and close parking, we will be back! - We really enjoyed our stay at Black Swan Sobro Nashville. Location was great and close in proximity to places we wanted to visit. Parking was ABSOLUTE best of any place we have ever stayed, we parked right outside next to our room, and so convenient getting in and out. We felt completely safe. The room was clean, well stocked with pillows, blankets and linens, and the bed was comfortable, firm and we rested well. We will return when we visit Nashville again.
- Johnnie (8/5): - No Elevator, smallest parking spaces I've ever seen, need a box fan to pull air in to bedroom or push it out depending on the season. The other complaints on here are just petty. If your staying a night or two, the fees seem crazy. But if you're staying a week the cost equals out. Very cheap for walking distance to Broadway. We'll stay again but hopefully get first floor.
- Sean (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay. & will certainly reccomend to others. If I could change 1 thing it would be all the trash in lot & outside patio area. Very nice facility & very secure Building. OffStreet Parking was great too! Thanks!
- Thomas (6/5): Good location and full aparment. - Room was more like an apartment! Full kitchen and seperate bedroom. Location was good for price (4 blocks off Broadway). Room was on 3rd floor with no elevator. TV had no local channels, just apple tv which never worked.
- Gloria (6/5): - The property was fine. They advertise one price but then charge double that amount as a “property fee”. Very misleading and lacking in integrity. No assistance getting a refund or cancellation within 5 minutes of realizing the price was for one night not the two I thought I was booking.
- Sienna Aubrey (8/5): - Great apartment situated 10 min away from Broadway. There is a fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer. There is no elevator so you’ll have to carry your luggage. I would suggest getting the units on the top floor so you don’t hear your upstairs neighbors’ footsteps. There is on site parking and a food court across the street.
- Melissa (10/5): Love this place. - We always love staying here. It’s the best kept secret place to stay in Nashville. This is like our 4 th time staying there. it’s close to everything and parking is free. The rooms are clean and it’s an easy in and out off the highway. It’s comfortable and quiet.
They now have an outdoor patio area which is cool.
- TOM (10/5): - As described. Parked the truck and Walked everywhere.
- Heather (8/5): - Property was clean and had all you needed including parking which was a big plus. The only down was a mildew smell.
- Sarah (10/5): - The location of the property is perfect walking distance to everything downtown.
- Dustin (2/5): WE WILL STAY HERE AGAIN - Will never stay there again, and you really want to look at other places also. The HVAC never cooled the bedroom because there is NO HVAC IN THE BEDROOM! The fan provided is a joke. We drove into town 90 minutes early to only be told we couldn't check in to a ready unit without paying $50.00 extra to get in early. They know nothing about hospitality. We are in the biz and would NEVER deny someone early check in on a ready to go unit. They are just a big corporation trying to make every dollar they can.
- Shannon (10/5): Great stay! - Clean apartment. Close enough to Broadway to walk. Free parking included!
- Reegan (8/5): - It was close to broadway and affordable
- Richard (8/5): - .
- WAYNE (10/5): - Like staying at a friends apartment
- Heather (10/5): - This property was close to Broadway. We were able to park the car and walk. The unit was large enough for my husband and I. Was quiet and well-appointed with amenities. The area around the property was a little sketchy but we felt safe.
- jeana (8/5): - Excellent location close to Broadway. Very very loud people above us all night and no front desk to call and stop it Big room and clean
- Heather (10/5): - Everything you needed was accessible or provided on the property or close by
- Greg (10/5): Great location and price - Had all the amenities and comforts of a one room condo or apartment, walking distance to everything. The wood floor creaked a bit. They only surprise was having to go up two flights of stairs and there was aTV in the living area but not one in the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable.
- Refugio (10/5): - Simply said you felt just like home
- Grant (10/5): - Other than at time of booking, there wasn't any interaction with any staff so can't really comment on staff. Things were as advertised and it is impossible to beat the location. We did not have a car and were able to walk to most locations and Uber the rest of the time.
- Karlene (8/5): - Great property and great price! Needs a smidge of upgrading, but very clean and excellent location to all the fun! If you have trouble with stairs, request the main floor.
- Chuck (10/5): - Nice property convenient to downtown perfect size.
- Suzanna (8/5): - The units were very clean! The outside area could use some TLC there were cigarette butts everywhere and uncomfortable patio furniture.
- rebecca (10/5): - The Black Swan's units were great. With bedroom separate from full kitchen/dining area and livingroom area, the accommodations were very roomy. There was a little bodega across the street for essentials and grocery shopping nearby. We came to Nashville for the symphony, and were pleasantly surprised that the concert hall was only a couple blocks away. Everything was walkable, from art galleries to honky tonk tourist area to country western museums to sports arenas to the river walk. And restaurants galore! All within a few minutes walk. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Since we accessed the room with keypad code, we never met the hotel staff, but I had multiple text exchanges, and they were quick and attentive to all my concerns. I will stay here again the next time i visit Nashville!
- Laura (10/5): - Love the place! Bed was very comfortable and the kitchen and bath amazing. We did struggle with the Apple TV but didn't really need it.
Location was amazing easy access to Broadway!!
- Ronald (6/5): Week in Nashville - Property is in a good location. Walkable to Broadway, but quiet at night. Free parking is a plus. No elevator. We stayed on the first floor and the noise from the unit above us was VERY loud. They were not being noisy, just walking around. There is virtually no insulation between the floor above and the ceiling. Dishwasher worked well. Washer and dryer worked well and was nice to have. Cooking utensils were old and worn. The entire property could use a refresh. We had an issue with the wifi but it was fixed on our second day. The BBQ joint around the corner is EXCELLENT. We would probably stay again, but on the top floor.
- Kim (10/5): Great Nashville Homebase - Great location. Easy to access. Would stay there again.
- Andrea B (10/5): - 10/10 would stay here again!!
- Dana (8/5): - Room 18 was a nice unit with full kitchen. Nicely appointed but bathroom could use a little TLC, a touch of paint and caulk would do it. I different shower head would be nice. The current one is full force all the time.
- Lawrence (10/5): would stay again - A very pleasant spot close to the convention center. If I travel to Nashville again this will be my first choice. A very good value.
