Vincent and his team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Before even arriving, they had arranged transportation, hammam and dinner, always with fast communication. The breakfast was very generous and absolutely delicious! When we arrived, we were welcomed by a very kind man who gave us lots of useful advice about what to visit and how to get around Marrakech. During the rest of our stay, we were mainly looked after by a guy named Mohamed, who was truly amazing. Every morning he asked us what time we wanted breakfast ready, and every evening he came to pick us up where the taxi dropped us off, no matter the time, because we had asked him to. Definitely not something to take for granted. He was always incredibly kind, helpful, friendly and available for anything we needed. We really felt at home. Highly recommended!

• Nada Debora (8/5): Wir würden die Unterkunft wieder buchen es hat uns gut gefallen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. - Die Unterkunft liegt versteckt in einer hinteren Gasse, wir haben es aber gut gefunden. Die Unterkunft ist klein uns familiär. Wir hatten ein Parterre-Zimmer und eines im ersten Stock. Die Zimmer sind klein aber liebevoll eingerichtet mit einem sehr bequemen Bett. Das Frühstück war einfach und gut. Auf der Dachterrasse hat es einen kleinen Pool und drei Liegestühle. Sehr herzig. Auch die Lage fanden wir sehr gut, in der Nähe von vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. • Simobdm (7/5): - La struttura è bellissima, la camera stupenda arredata in stile tipico marocchino, molto comoda , curata , pulita e grande - affacciata su un patio meraviglioso e con un bel terrazzo. Purtroppo a differenza di altri non abbiamo riscontrato una grande accoglienza,, questo ci è un po' dispiaciuto, perché il Riad è veramente valido e merita, ma magari è stato solo un momento..
• Valeriano (9/5): Un angolo autentico di Marrakech tra relax e tradizione - Abbiamo soggiornato in questo riad nella zona della Kasbah e l’esperienza è stata decisamente positiva. La posizione è ottima: in 3 minuti a piedi si raggiungono le Tombe Saadite e il Palazzo El Badi. Si trova in un dedalo di vicoli tipico di Marrakech, che all’inizio può spiazzare, ma una volta presa la mano diventa tutto semplice. Il riad è più piccolo di quanto ci aspettassimo, ma molto curato e autentico. Abbiamo organizzato con loro il transfer dall’aeroporto (15 €): scelta azzeccata, perché si evita di contrattare all’arrivo per risparmiare poco o nulla. L’autista era puntuale, simpatico e parlava bene inglese. All’arrivo siamo stati accolti da Mohamed, gentile e discreto, che ci ha fatto accomodare per il check-in (pagamento richiesto in anticipo, anche in euro) offrendoci un ottimo tè alla menta. Avevamo la camera Vanilla al piano terra: carina e arredata con gusto in perfetto stile marocchino, ma con qualche limite. È poco insonorizzata e si sentono i rumori degli spazi comuni; inoltre, per privacy, non si possono aprire completamente le persiane. Se tornassi, sceglierei sicuramente una camera ai piani superiori. Pulizia impeccabile, sia della camera che del bagno. Atmosfera molto romantica. Colazione dolce abbondante e varia, con proposte diverse ogni giorno. Abbiamo provato anche la cena marocchina la prima sera (15 €) ed è stata un’ottima scelta: molto buoni sia la tchatchouka che la tanjia di manzo con limone e olive, davvero ben preparata. Consigliatissima anche l’esperienza hammam di coppia (50 €) direttamente nel riad: il trattamento “Royal Escape” è completo e rilassante, con hammam, sapone nero, scrub e maschera al ghassoul. Un grazie speciale a Leyla, professionale e molto gentile. Ultima nota di merito per Oussama, probabilmente il proprietario, sempre disponibile e accogliente. Nel complesso, un soggiorno molto piacevole. Con una camera ai piani superiori sarebbe stato perfetto. Consiglio le camere al piano superiore, che offrono maggiore privacy e silenzio rispetto alla camera Vanilla a pian terreno.

From the scale and interior beauty of the riad, to the room conditions (adjacent to the terrace), with reasonable size and impeccably clean, all the way to the lavish breakfast. A different experience from what you get in a hotel—more private and personalized. The early wake-up (before 6:00 a.m.) caused by the adhan from a nearby mosque, and the breakfast schedule, which is only served from 8:00 a.m. (though this “late” timing is common in riads).

• Matt (10/5): Lovely Riad, great staff. - We had a great stay here, it was in a great location for Marrakesh and is nice and walkable. The staff were so friendly and considerate, particularly Mohammed and Ousama. Really recommend for a traditional Riad. The rooftop pool was a great bonus too.
• Euphemia (10/5): Een oase van rust op een perfecte locatie! - Wat een oase van rust wanneer je de grote bruine deur van het riad door naar binnen komt! Alles klopt! Het is er kleinschalig, rustig, sfeervol en van alle gemakken voorzien. Op het dakterras is er ruimte om te zonnebaden of een spelletje te doen op de loungebank onder het genot van een drankje of hapje. Ook kun je afkoelen in de plungepool. De kamer was netjes en mooi ingericht en een groot pluspunt: een hele fijne douche! Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en staat altijd voor je klaar. Het was geene probleem om een ontbijtje mee te geven toen we op vroege excursie gingen en kwam je 's avonds laat pas terug in het riad, werd er altijd vriendelijk opengedaan en gevraagd hoe onze dag was. Ook de centrale ligging van dit riad is uitstekend! Vlakbij de toegangspoort Bab Agnaou, ideaal als trefpunt voor excursies! Binnen een 20 minuten lopen sta je op het Djem el Fna plein. Het riad is redelijk gehorig waardoor je alle geluiden hoort. Prima als je je erop instelt en zelf rekening houdt met anderen door niet te hard te praten, luide muziek, bellen etc. Het riad ligt in de buurt van een moskee waardoor je ook de nachtelijke gebedsoproep van de Imam luid en duidelijk hoort en waar de lichte slaper van wakker wordt.

L’accueil est parfait avec de bons conseils de visite, les repas que l’on réserve le matin pour le soir sont excellents et copieux. Une belle adresse où l’on se sent bien. Il faut juste penser aux bouchons d’oreille à cause de la proximité de la mosquée mais le problème est le même dans tous les riads. Le quartier est sympa et safe et le Riad vraiment calme avec uniquement le chant apaisant des oiseaux

Elke morgen stond een heerlijk ontbijt in een prachtige relaxte omgeving klaar. En als wij vroeg in de morgen op excursie gingen kregen we een ontbijtje mee. De kamer is mooi en schoon en het dakterras na een drukke dag is helemaal top! De locatie van de Riad is ook heel praktisch en in een leuke wijk. Bij een eventuele volgende keer ,komen wij hier graag terug! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Helemaal niets!

Cibo buonissimo e che dire dello staff… Mohamed persona veramente sempre gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi richiesta e consiglio. Ti viene incontro a qualsiasi esigenza . C’è anche il servizio transfer dall’aeroporto al Riad e viceversa. Ci preparava pure la colazione da portare via quando avevamo qualche escursione prima dell’orario della colazione. Lo sceglierei di nuovo e sopratutto lo consiglio . Dimenticavo : è una struttura bellissima e di ottimo gusto.

Was easy to find as it’s so close to the Mosque in Kasbah. In a place where you could get lost in the alleys very easily this was a massive plus! The owner and manager couldn’t do enough for us during our stay and even after we checked out! They went above and beyond for us and were really friendly and approachable! They helped us out so much with different things! We got a lovely Hamman and massage there on the last day, it was a great way to end our visit to Marrakech! We went home exhausted from a jam packed trip of fun activities but relaxed and happy as well! Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Tutto era pulitissimo e lo staff è stato davvero super accogliente e disponibile. Abbiamo organizzato con loro anche l’escursione nel deserto di 3 giorni e, finora, è stato tutto perfetto! Consigliatissimo.

The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Excellent hot showers, heating or cooling as needed and comfortable beds. We had breakfast which was tasty and plentiful and also ate in the evening on 2 occasions, which again was great value for money. I would have no hesitation recommending a stay here, Vincent is most welcoming and this would be a frat base for anyone staying in Marrakech. Nothing really, the WiFi could be better in the bedrooms, but that’s being picky.

Bad und Schlafbereich sind nur durch eine Wand/ oben offenen Sichtschutz getrennt – das Bad ist also kein eigener Raum.

• Mónica (9/5): - Un riad precioso y muy limpio, en la zona de Kasbah a 2 minutos de la mezquita Moulay el Yazid, perfecto para ir o llegar desde el aeropuerto, a 20 min del zoco caminando. Un poco difícil de encontrar la primera vez como todos los riads porque no tiene el nombre en la puerta pero si os fijáis en el número de la calle o veis el video que manda en anfitrión. La habitación preciosa. El desayuno muy bueno. La terraza bonita con piscina. También tiene hammam, recomiendo probar la experiencia, muy diferente de los hammam que hay en España. Nos ofrecieron te de bienvenida y de despedida cuando recogimos nuestro equipaje.

• Tom (10/5): Perfect Riad Stay - We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful riad in Marrakesh. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the immaculate cleanliness of the entire property – everything from the rooms to the shared spaces was spotless and well cared for. The breakfast each morning was a real treat – fresh, varied, and served in a peaceful setting. The pool area is absolutely lovely – a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the city, with comfortable loungers and a calm, inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely helpful, always ready with recommendations or assistance whenever needed. Their hospitality made us feel so welcome and well looked after throughout my stay. The location is also ideal – tucked away just enough to provide peace and quiet, yet only a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the medina and main attractions. It's the best of both worlds. If you’re looking for a serene, comfortable, and well-located place to stay in Marrakesh, I can’t recommend this riad enough. I would definitely return!

• Kim (10/5): Overnachting in 1001-nachten sprookje - Zodra je de deur van de riad binnenstapt kom je in een soort 1001-nachten sprookje. Bij aankomst Marokaanse muntthee, hoog geschonken met veel bubbels. Tijdens onze kookworkshop geleerd dat dat de enige manier is om echte muntthee te schenken, zonder bubbels is het niet correct en gepast. De riad en kamer zien er prachtig, schoon en authentiek uit. Het personeel is super aardig en wij konden ons geen fijner verblijf bedenken. Ook het dakterras is een verwennerij. Bedankt voor de goeie zorgen! Wij kunnen momenteel niks bedenken. Alles was top!
• Carolina (10/5): UN ACIERTO - La verdad que el Riad lo recomiendo. Nos recibió mohamed con un té de bienvenida y luego la estancia fue súper amena. Pasamos tardes en la piscina para refrescarnos de las altas temperaturas y nos pedimos dos deliciosos smoting de mango y otro de melón que nos preparo el otro chico, no recuerdo su nombre pero también súper amable. no sabría decirte cuál de los dos sabores estaba más rico. Los desayunos muy variados, cada día uno diferentes y te quedabas más que bien. Mohamed es un chico súper amable y educado, que transmite mucha paz y a parte súper honesto. Al llegar y pagar la reserva tenía que devolvernos 2€ pero nos hemos olvidado al final por qué nos estuvo explicando como rellenar unos formularios y luego el último día cuando nosotros no lo recordábamos al entregar las llaves se ha acordado y nos ha devuelto los 2€. También nos ha impreso gratis las tarjetas de embarque para volver a españa, así que es algo que se agradece. En general recomiendo mucho este Riad también por que esta súper bien ubicado.

Il est d’un professionnalisme comme il y en a peu. Toujours attentif et aux petits soins, il a su rendre notre voyage unique. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison, en étant dépaysés par la beauté du lieu et la chaleur de l’accueil. La qualité de la nourriture, la douceur des massages, l’emplacement idéal du Riad ainsi que le calme et l’apaisement qui y règnent ont rendu ce séjour inoubliable. Les chambres sont très propres et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. Un véritable havre de paix que nous recommandons vivement. Nous repartons de Marrakech le cœur rempli de bons souvenirs , en espérant revenir très vite. Merci également à Oussama , Leïla et Aïcha 🙏🏻 Romane, Tiphaine et Solène Tout était parfait
• Diana (10/5): Voltaria - O riad é lindo, muito sossegado apesar de estar bem localizado (perto do centro). O pequeno almoço variado ótimo bem completo. A comida ótima, o melhor tajine de frango que comi. Tudo limpo. O duche também era bom, boa pressão de água tanto quente como fria. O atendente Mohammed sempre prestável. Aconselho imenso este riad, sem dúvida voltaria. Nada a apontar.

• Lorena (9/5): - El Riad es precioso, Osama es una gran gerente que nos ayudó y aconsejó en absolutamente todo, sin duda lo mejor que tiene el Riad es el. La piscina es muy cómoda y agradable, el desayuno era muy completo y el Riad en si estaba muy bien decorado y limpio, que eso siempre es de agradecer 👍🏻

Et de plus rien de salé . L accueil "facture" qui me semble un peu tout much...tu paies et après on te montre ta chambre..j imagine bien le côté marrakech où business est business...mais Monsieur chez moi aussi le tourisme fait vivre nombre personnes mais on accueille nos hôtes d une facon bien plus simple. • ME (8/5): Fijn en veilig verblijf bij Vincent in Marrakech! - Het is prachtig ingericht. Er is op het dakterras ook een klein bad. Daar kun je afkoelen, al waren wij er in augustus en was het 8 graden warmer dan normaal, waardoor het water minder verkoelend was. Maar het allerbeste is Vincent, die als hij er is, er alles aan doet om je een fijn en veilig verblijf te bezorgen. Het ontbijt is heerlijk alleen word je afgeleid door een aantal wespen dat er tegelijkertijd op afkomt. Dat is heel jammer, maar kan denk ik heel eenvoudig worden opgelost door tafelpropellertjes/kleine tafelventilators op tafel te plaatsen. Dat zou het heerlijke ontbijt nog beter tot zijn recht laten komen!

• Joris (10/5): Parfait ! - Nous avons passés un excellent séjour au Riad des Lys. Nous avons pris beaucoup de plaisir à échanger avec le personnel qui nous a accueillis, qui était au petit soin de nos demandes. Oussama qui nous a reçus pratiquement tout au long de notre séjour, était vraiment très agréable, serviable et attentionné. La chambre très jolie, une décoration réalisée avec beaucoup de goûts, un charme marocain très sympathique. Nous avons également pu manger un dîner marocain délicieux ! Que dire de plus, si vous souhaitez passer un super séjour à Marrakech le Riad de Lys est un très bon choix.

• Kai (10/5): Absolutely amazing, 10/10 - We absolutely loved our stay in this riad – very good localisation, the staff was friendly, helpful and very attentive, our room, the terrace and the pool were top notch, and the breakfast was superb (lots of food, everything was fresh and there was a nice variety of spreads and toppings, fresh fruit and orange juice everyday, you get the gist). Over the course of our trip we had stayed at 7 different places in different cities and this riad was the absolute BEST of them all. Highly recommend! Keep in mind that you don't get a key to the main door – you can come and go as you please during the day (because someone from the staff is always there to let you back in), but I'm not sure if it's possible to go out at night (as from what we saw, the main entrance is locked at night). It didn't really bother us as we were planning our activities during the day, but I guess it's good to mention that

The owner was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. • Katie (10/5): Perfect, peaceful, welcoming - 10/10 The property was very close to the centre, but still far way enough that it was very quiet at night and a peaceful area. Rooms were very clean and spacious and the staff were exceptional! So welcoming and friendly and helped us with everything we needed to know, provided a transfer to and from the airport for a cheap price and countless facilities provided. Breakfast was also a 10/10! Also were welcomed with tea and cake when we arrived which was lovely 🫶 also very close to a taxi rank and pick ups for excursions were very very near. Nothing it was 10/10

• Amber (10/5): Amazing hospitality and beautiful riad - We absolutely loved the riad, and the staff, cleanliness, breakfast and overall experience was great! Nothing was too much for the staff, and they were so efficient with helping us, and getting things done. The room was extremely clean, as was the rest of the riad, and it was lovely to sit up on the terrace and relax in the sun. Breakfast every morning was lovely, and they even brought out a cake for my partner on his birthday, which was so kind! There was no pressure to pay for beers or drinks had throughout the day, and the team went above and beyond, even booking our transport back to the airport at last minute notice. The only concern (which is out of the riads control) is the location, down alleys in Kasbah. Our first experience leaving the riad, there was a group of men telling us to go a certain way for the markets and following us, and they seem to target people from the riads. After the first experience, they learned to leave us alone, but were loitering about the alleys when the sun went down, which can be quite daunting! Be prepared for them, and just say no thank you and walk past with confidence, they will leave you alone. This is not a reflection on the riad, and do not let it put you off booking, just more a note to take with you.
• Lynda (10/5): Exceptional - Our welcome at the Riad was warm and friendly. Mohammad was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He was the perfect host and made our stay really memorable. We will certainly be going back. We could not fault anything! It was a quiet oasis within the centre of Marrakesh. The evening meal on arrival (must be ordered in advance) was superb and probably the best chicken tagine we have had! The included breakfast was different everyday with fresh pancakes, omelettes, fruit, bread and cheese and always served with a smile. The room was cleaned daily to an excellent standard. Nothing - the stay was amazing!

• Sarah (10/5): Beautiful elegant riad with a fantastic staff team, we will definitely be back soon - This was a really exceptional place to stay - it was beautiful, peaceful and elegant - comfortable rooms, great breakfast and located in a quieter part of the centre but still within walking distance to the medina ans palaces. But as always it is the people that make the place and the team at Riad Des Lys were fantastic. I am not usually a ten out of ten person but there isn’t anything I can think of to add here - I would definitely recommend staying here on your trip to Marrakech
• Izzy (9/5): Ideal base to explore Marrakesh! - Oussama and the team at Riad Des Lys were amazing, the riad has been beautiful resorted it is very comfortable, clean and has a lovely roof top with a plunge pool and sun beds. Transfers from/ to the airport can be arranged at a fair price- it is a private transfer and always on time/ waited when the plane was delayed. The Riad is in a quiet, safe area- we always felt safe with someone to greet us. I would stay at Riad Des Lys again in a heart beat- thank you for your warm hospitality! The walk from the main square is around 15-20 mins but an easy stroll.

The staff were exceptional (especially Mohammad) and the service was fantastic. We also had a Moroccan spa treatment there too and it was very good. We were very happy there. It was a little hard to find, but then it was off the beaten track so very very quiet.

• Greta (9/5): Best dinner - The riad is nice and Oussama is very friendly and welcoming. The dinner was the best, very tasty homemade tajine, and also good value for money. The terrace is small, but very pleasant. There is nothing that we didn’t like. The Riad is nice and the people working there are very welcoming. Maybe, only that the Riad is a bit smaller than how it looks from the picture.
