- Andy (8/5): Good , would recommend but if spending evenings in, the lounge area is not set up for relaxing comfortably - Bed comfy, heating good and easy to adjust, bathroom etc all fine. Very friendly reception staff. Restaurant excellent. Parking outside room great Lack of easy chairs for evening relaxing, also lack of TV (very surprising)

We had breakfast included and it was such a treat. The decor and atmosphere were lovely. We both enjoyed a massage (pregnancy/ deep tissue) and my partner loved the sauna. Coffee in the room was yum. Bathrooms were very dated compared to the room and the shower goes from cold to scalding very quickly! Once you get the knack it's okay. We were prepared for this from other reviews, though.

- Zahra (8/5): Nice and beautiful outdoor, close to the airport - When I arrived, I was deadly tired. The lady at the desk was very understanding and as I had big luggage, she kindly changed my room to ground floor. It was a comfy stay. Beautiful outdoor. All required facilities were available. Regular room service and the “no disturb sign “ is on the other side of the board for “room service”. So, be mindful and do not forget to leave the sign if you do not have the service!...And very mindful about environment and recycling. There are parking spaces but “first in, best dress” , so you may not have your parking nearby. No restaurant to serve food in the room and I had to order Ubereat. It looked like the modern Hippie-style hotel. So, no TV, but Wifi available. One more useful information, there is just one tap in the shower and you have to turn it completely to the left to be hot and gradually turn back to right to set in the temperature that you like! ;)

- Cyrus (8/5): It was a fun vacation. No hassle finding the hotel and accomodation was as expected. - They have an excellent restaurant within the compound. Parking is adequate but no reserves. Heating is adequate. Great views of the lake and mountains. Internet speed is adequate. Rooms are a bit dated. Toilets are a bit dim. kitchen is functional but maybe needs renovation. Restaurant while great food, is a bit pricey on dinners. Menu is limited but it was specialized.

Heel goed dat je hervulbare opties voor flessen hebt, afval wordt gescheiden en de energie van zonnepanelen vandaan komt. De tuin en buitenplaats is gezellig en groen ingericht en de kamer (+keuken) ruim. Alle drie de nachten van ons verblijf was er een private event in de tuin/restaurant met (live) muziek. Prima natuurlijk, maar 1x per week zodat je hotelgasten dit gewoon kunnen gebruiken zou eerlijker zijn.

Dedicated parking would be nice, it's a slight pain having to park up the road when you have heavy luggage. Some of the parking was taken up by people not even staying but rather going to the restaurant. You do get woken up by people walking down the hall way too (even at 4am in the morning).

- Josie (1/5): This place was $436 for us for one night and it was not at all enjoyable. - The shower. The price. The tired presentation of the room. The lack of lighting, the damp smell. So many things. Nowhere comfortable to sit. Our room was right next to the kitchen wheelie bins that were constantly slammed shut early in the morning. The whole place was tired and in desperate need of maintenance and a general tidy up. There was a stain on the curtain, the door to the bathroom was water damaged. No TV and no comfortable place to sit. The chairs were leather, hard to get out of and far from comfortable. We won’t be back.

- Robin (8/5): Good place for a person with a car and wanting relatively quick access to the airport. - Reception stayed open until 11 pm; I arrived at 10:55pm. The room and included breakfast were fine. I had to leave at 7:45 am. Car parking was available in the last tight spot. It was 10 mintes to the airport and there was at least one gas station in between. Entry to the hotel and reception were a little hard to find at 10:55 pm.

- Philip (4/5): Don’t let the view draw you in. Looks can be decieving, d - The view and check in staff were friendly. The location is enticing, but it’s on a busy road. It’s impossible to darken the room due to there being no blinds on the door window. The shower curtain was too short …hence wet floor. The restaurant menus are pretentious and at breakfast only include 1 cup of coffee. Absolutely ridiculous! In all my travels I’ve never seen such attitude!

Room was a bit tired eg. Broken towel rail in bathroom, hairdryer was in a cheap plastic crate under the bathroom, broken hook on back of bathroom door etc

- Libby (6/5): - Has the potential to be a beautiful property in the future once renovations are done. A little disappointed that the inside of the room were a bit dated & dark, however they were very clean had the essentials of teas & coffee, toaster & crockery. I love the organic feel of the whole Sherwood property. I appreciated the space in the room we had (32). The restaurant looked amazing, even though we didn't get a chance to try it. The car parking was unallocated which made it hard when we returned at night.

- Bec (6/5): Great vacation hotel, probably not suited to business trips as much - Quirky rooms, fun. One of the receptionists worked her magic to locate an iron when none were seemingly available, but was 40 mins after I went looking, I was very appreciative when one was located. No room service, nor a willingness to deliver to rooms, had to wait No iron available, and very hard to locate one when all were gone from the laundry

- Kristie (9/5): Always a wonderful and relaxing time away from Auckland. - We love the simplicity of Sherwood. The food is always exceptional. Bathroom is okay, not amazing. Noisy hallway - not great soundproofing.
- Peter (5/5): - Die Lage Es gab eine Auswahl an standardisierten Frühstücks, die jeweils sehr übersichtlich waren. Duch relativ hohe Zuzahlung für weitere Komponenten, zum Beispiel für einen Oragensaft etc., bestand die Möglichkeit der Erweiterung.

- Louise (10/5): - Four very cosy nights spent here at the Sherwood. A large comfortable bed for a good night's sleep and a tiny kitchen for snack prep and morning tea & coffee/breakfast. The staff were all super helpful, relaxed and friendly. The restaurant is so good that we ate there for 3 of the 4 evening meals. The menu is not cheap, but the food is well worth the money for its variety, quality, freshness and being locally sourced. We felt very much "at home" here and would definitely stay again. Very much in favour of the eco emphasis too! A big thank you to all Sherwood staff 😀
- Nicola (8/5): Very convenient for doing a Milford sound tour and the restaurant is an absolute must - Had the most awesome meal in the restaurant- very creative menu and really tasty. Almost didn’t use it as the website doesn’t live up to the eating experience. The open balcony so guests can walk past each other’s room windows - felt it lacked privacy. Also not much around this part of town.

- Paul (6/5): Not my best choice. - The restaurant on site. No TV , no microwave, and the fridge seemed to not work or failed overnight spoiling our leftover food and milk.
- Véronique (6/5): - L'accueil du personnel, le petit-déjeuner, La déco de la chambre sympa. Les poubelles de l'hôtel visibles depuis les chambres, et l'odeur qui va avec. La salle de bain n'était pas du même standing que le reste de l'hôtel, vieillot, baignoire étroite et glissante, température de l'eau difficile à régler et pommeau fixe.
- Emma (8/5): A really lovely place to stay! A bit out of town, but Frankton and surrounds is very nice - The room was well appointed, lovely decor and comforts, they'd thought about sustainability and it was was very cosy, nice lighting, very quiet. While the restaurant was beautiful, it's very fancy and not for everyone. We had to venture into town to find dinner and breakfast a little more low key.
