Guest Reviews
- Silvia (7/5): We stayed here just for one night because we needed accommodation quickly. Based on the reviews, we didn’t expect any lu - Clean and comfortable bed, quick check-in, peaceful atmosphere, Wifi,TV, billiard dated facilities and stale air
- bill (10/5): - larry was more than helpful with things. I highly recommend this place....was fun neat and a new experience
- Saribel (2/5): - Smells soooo hooooorrible, worst than a horror movie, I did no sleep there , I prefer sleep on my car
- George (3/5): -
- Allen (6/5): -
- Jameel (10/5): - Great little spot in Invermere
- TYURHAN (2/5): - We booked for a 3 days...but after 2 days we left the house. The Woshrooms are outside of the room...3:00 a.m. you going to woshrooms...but in the salon, som gays are playing cards .We felt yourselfs unsafe. This please is not for families...is cheap but not for families....
- saiful (8/5): -
- Brett (2/5): - Would not recommend. Horrible customer service. Management was horrendous to deal with. Lied right to my face about being able to refund for stay that didn’t even end up occurring.
- Guennewig (7/5): After a long drive to my destination , all was ready and usable to relax - The comen kitchen was clean and well equipped
The comen washrooms and Bedroom very clean It was what I expected gut
- Juliet (2/5): - It's not good
- Parker (10/5): -
- Darryl (2/5): - Spent 7 hrs only to sleep however from 2 till 6 am someone yelling and banging walls doors from outside screaming, swearing and threatening someone inside demanding to be let in, then whoever went from threatening to crying, unbelievable
- Karamjit (2/5): - The only problem was the rusty mold smell that was on ground floor. It was hard to breathe.
- Quentin (3/5): Cheap but sketchy, wouldn't recommend - Location was good, and it was the cheapest option available around. The room, bathrooms, and showers were fairly clean considering the rest. There was a strange smell inside the building and the dorms. There were some sketchy people hanging out in front of the building all night, it didn't feel very safe
- Immaculate (1/5): Sad - Nothing The hair in the shower rooms and not a single shelf to putt your stuff, just one adhesive hook barely enough for a towel. The curtains were stained yellow and brown, the room was very hot, the tiny mattress was super uncomfortable. The price was jacked up to hotel prices for the long weekend. Neighbors were loud until late. Other guests were outside talking until 6am but needed window open for fresh air flow.
- STEVEN MARCUS (4/5): - I cannot give higher than 2 stars, although I do appreciate the seperate bedrooms for a hostel. The fact that I had to liaten to the partiers in room 213 for the majority of the night (blaring their phone, thunping around since they were probably so drunk, doing the same outside) made me quesy about coming here again.
- Cheryl (2/5): - It seemed there is no rule of quiet time. It was already midnight and it’s noisy. It was very uncomfortable, I wasn’t able sleep through the night ‘coz it’s so hot and noisy. I will never go back to this place again. The carpet looks too old and dirty.
- Delos Reyes (3/5): - The facility is stinky
- Shawn (6/5): - Price was good but no great
- JoLynn (10/5): - Just fine for what we needed. Quiet, easy, reasonable price, convenient - all that we needed. Would stay again.
- Josephine (2/5): Very poor - Nothing Not clean the beddings smeel bad , washroom not enough
- Isabelle (4/5): Too close to train tracks - Not so clean. Way too close to the train tracks.
- Megan (6/5): - Check in was quick and easy, inside of the building had a very musty smell. The room also had a strange smell to it.
- Hind (4/5): - The staff was very accommodating but the smell is terrible, in the first room I couldn't breathe. The second didn't smell terrible but it has not been cleaned in months. The nice gentleman at the front desk tried his best but he is not enough for the whole place he needs help.
- Amee (6/5): - This is a very old hostel as you know if you’ve looked it up, so set your expectations. Considering many reviews, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was July long weekend, and the kitchen was clean and adequate. The staff was nice and helpful. Beware, the water from the taps was light brown, hopefully that gets fixed. The bedding in my private room didn’t smell fresh and was very wrinkly, that worried me, but still grateful not to be in a dorm room.
- Richard E. (10/5): - I wasn't sure what to expect, not having stayed in a Hostel before. They had onsite WiFi, which was helpful since I had poor cell service in the area. I had a private room with queen bed. The property was clean, safe, and comfortable. I was just there for 1 night and the stay was perfect.
- Joseph (8/5): - Although the place was a little dreary, it was spotlessly clean everywhere. The kitchen was spotless and well-equipped.
- Hayden (1/5): Utterly disgusting - Absolutely nothing. As soon as we arrived, a strange and intimidating man who was outside smoking circled our car and was very stand-off ish. We soon realised he was part of a group of similar individuals who were either staying at the hostel or living around it. Any time we had to leave the room he was there and tried to talk to us. I did not sleep for a single second as all I could hear all night was the group of men drinking, smoking, laughing and arguing all night and I was worried for the safety of our car and ourselves. We packed up and left at 6am to try and avoid them but they were still outside the front door. Disgusting place, I would have rather slept in the front seat of the car. We should have found somewhere else but had already paid.
- Dylan (8/5): - Easy check in. Decent place, but thin walls.
- Benito (3/5): Poor - Some of the guest are to noisy even midnight.
- Reza (1/5): My stay was marred by discomfort and noise, making for a sleepless night - The location of the hostel was very good for me. I had a restless night, unable to sleep due to uncomfortable conditions. My bed had an overpowering odor, and to make matters worse, nearby noise from loud conversations carried on throughout the night, disrupting any chance of rest.
- Shannon (6/5): - The staff member who checked us in, indicated that (although we had already paid through Expedia) he didn’t have us in the computer. After showing him confirmation emails, he reluctantly gave us a room but said we may have to move when the manager arrives.
Fortunately, we did not hear from the manager and fell asleep before the noise began
- Walter (2/5): - Location is convenient. Place could use a bit of upkeep and could be cleaner.
- Amélie (6/5): - The property was ok for a night.
- Chester (2/5): - Poor hygiene
- Ella (5/5): Passable - Run down property with no atmosphere. I wouldn’t classify this as a hostel. Facilities were old and kitchen was dirty.
- chi keung dino (8/5): - price
- Seyed (5/5): Passable -
- Mark (6/5): - Room smelled like an old sock and the mattress shifted oddly when you sat on it (unstable frame). Still pretty good for a hostel, good amenities, just needs a bit more maintenance.
- Luis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Linda (10/5): - Just needed somewhere to sleep
- Jem (8/5): - I liked the room and the building. It was great to be able to use the equipped kitchen, including deep freeze for our ice packs. The only issue we had was some kind of alarm going off, three beeps over and over, all night. (Out in the common area, not in our room.) Nobody came to shut it off, and I didn’t see in my room a way to contact staff. Other than that, I enjoyed our stay here. It was clean, quiet, and good value for money.
- Bea (2/5): Very poor - Beds were ok, the rest was terrible. Dirty showers, only 2 toilets for 16 rooms, no daylight in the kitchen, lot of noise and smell of other guests.
In an other room were 4 adults and 3 kids. Bleh, never go to that place, too expensive.
- Mildred (9/5): scootscoot - Free breakfast was not included on our booking, however the place was very nice. very accessible and only few minutes drive to Fairmont Hot Spring Resort. The place is clean and big so not crowded even though the kitchen and washroom are sharing. None so far, all is good
- Lauren (8/5): Wonderful. - Super accommodating host, comfy, clean and affordable place with privacy. Would stay again! More parking spots?
- Chris (2/5): - Needed a good rest after camping for a week before driving home. Paid extra for private room, put right by the door, so I heard everyone going in and out all night, paper thin walls, neighbour snored all night then was up at 5am making “business calls.”
This place definitely needs to promote “quiet hours” and turn down the lights in the common area during said times, I had to put a towel under my door to stop the bright lights from shining into my room.
- Harmandeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Husam (10/5): I really like the rooms it was nice, quiet and clean. The staff were really nice and helpful - It was amazing and the staff were too nice and helpful N/A
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Dave (7/5): Good -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Qing Xin (2/5): - You pay for what you get. The place is cheap and ok for one night if you do not want to sleep in the tent.
- Amy (5/5): Passable - Friendly staff
Clean beds
Budget Did not know families were living there which made the communal areas not very clean
I didn’t know what we could use and what we couldn’t
- Ofelia (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): - Had our own bedroom and comfortable.
- Lance (6/5): 'Bizarre' best word to describe it - I was trying to come up with how to describe our experience here....came across a review that pretty much captured it, so here it is for you to read: I really want to rate this place higher, as it ticks a lot of boxes on paper. It provides free phone booth to call anywhere in Canada. It has free pool table & Netflix TV & generous lounge area, the place is clean & tidy. It also has own bar fridge in each dorm. The shower was hot & nice.
If it's a bed & clean place you are looking for, this place is 5/5 for value. But if you are looking for the community mingle vibe like most other hostel (HI Lake Louise / Dreamcatcher in Golden etc), you will be disappointed. It has a clinical boarding house feel rather than hostel. I have stayed in lots of hostel, this is the oddest set up I have come across. The manager drive from elsewhere to check you in (although he was very prompt), and leaves 1 minute after. There is also no staff on duty. You really can't feel any love. This place has a weird vibe, it almost feels like a place out of the Hitchcock movie. Furniture seems like from old motel / diners.
Every single room is directly off the open common area, so can only imagine how nosy this place is when it is busy. Single bench kitchen with 1 stove may be hard to cook when more than a few guest. Only having 2 bathroom & 3 showers really isn't enough for the amount of beds. Towel should be automatically put on guest bed like all other hostel instead of waiting for guest to ask for one, after the manager is long gone.
- Alberto (5/5): Low quality hostel - It was cheap. We had a full room for all the family (5 members). There were common facilities with kitchen, living room and bathrooms. It is a low quality hostel.
In general the smell of all the building was awful.
Although the bedroom was more or less clean, the kitchen wasn't. Sometimes it was a bit disgusting to be in the common areas and use the shared bathrooms.
There were a lot of people living there for long periods.
- TUDOR (8/5): - If you like to save money this property is good for one night. The rooms are clean and checking in could be as late as 11 pm. Only the basics are being provided but for a tired traveler it's just enough. The only negative thing about the place is the noise from a close by train passing a few times during the night.
- Diana (10/5): - Quick and easy check in!
- Casey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (1/5): Bad - To pay this kind of places.
Nothing empressus. We were realy scared whole night. Bunk beds, no own washroom. All kind of people do thong with no control.
Must refund my money.
- Stephen (10/5): - It was exactly what I needed and the process was the simplest ever.
- JOY (6/5): - You get what you pay.
- Peter (8/5): - We liked that you could check in late, close to stores, restaurants, beach and marina. Easy to find and the room we had was perfect. Thanks for the hospitality. Only problem i had was trying to get regular tv.
- Rachelle (5/5): Just right - The beddings are not clean and the room is not as well. It is dusty and my daughter had insect bites after
- Mariana (1/5): Terrible - there is nothing to like there dark activities around- drugs and drunken people. Overpayment issues. don't book this hostel. The owner is lier and ruthless.
- Norm (5/5): If I had read the booking better I would not have booked it. - Aside from the price the rooms were warm there was no air conditioning.
- Cristina (8/5): - I was upgraded to a superior room at no cost.
A pervading smell of fried chicken lingered everywhere. Premises -- common areas are spacious and accommodating. Room setting around the common areas resemble those in a hospital. Appreciated the fact that windows open for fresh air and glorious mountain views all around.
- Aran (6/5): bed was comfortable enough, showers worked great ! - the location is perfect. the whole hostel is very basic, and could use some better furniture etc..
- Nobella (8/5): Well stayed. - Cleanliness.
- Jaspreet (1/5): Bad -
- Mara (6/5): Pleasant -
- Walter (10/5): - Very friendly environment. We stayed for one night and it was good. The room was clean and it is convenient located close to the lake and restaurants.
- Christina (2/5): I will not come back to that place - centrally located, close to the lake The room was smelly, smoky. Very basic. Not sound insulated.
- P (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- Ali (8/5): It's a good place to stay for a night - Rooms and social room very clean and spacious. Rooms had their own fridges which I haven't seen in any other hostel. We only stayed for a night and rented the whole room for 3 people. I can imagine staying won't be easy with strangers in this hostel as the beds don't have individual light, no desks, no lockers and no curtains for the beds. Not many showers in the hostel. The location was kinda not straightforward.
- Praveen (2/5): Will not go back - Near the lake No fan or AC, only one bathroom for all the rooms. Staff was not very friendly
- Teagan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Murray (6/5): Pleasant -
- Josh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daan (5/5): Passable -
- Ken (7/5): Good - yes good for group of people
- Fiona (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (2/5): - The manager is rude and abrupt and seemed annoyed by us checking in! The whole property is absolutely disgusting!! There were bugs on the bed and spiders and cobwebs by the ceiling!! The AC didn’t work, one toilet per floor and one gross shower per floor! Doesn’t look like the doors have ever even been wiped down!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
- Samantha (6/5): - The owner is really nice and accommodating ! It’s a hostile, I woke up to pee on the floor in the bathroom but it was cleaned up right away . We showed up late and the person working there was personable and kind ! The bed was comfortable and we slept well!
- Clydee (8/5): The staff is very accommodating and freindly - Cleanliness is very important so they have to clean the room properly
- Alain (8/5): Very good -
- Benedict (10/5): - Nice and neat. Very comfy and kitchen functional with everything you need.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ilko (8/5): Very good -
- Murray (6/5): Okay cheap place to stay. - Price. It was the most affordable. Central to the area. Bed was good. Quiet. Stark interior. Single light in room. I thought that it said tv in double bed room.
- Bea (9/5): Superb -
- ty6037 (8/5): - Its nice place to stay. Will definitely come back.
- Benedict (10/5): - An 3rd bathroom would be great. But overall it's a great place to stay.
- Burnett (5/5): Passable - Staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. Not air-conditioned.
- Aniana (1/5): give our money back - this place is crap, we travelled with my whole family and another family friends, we reserved and paid for our reservation for 3 rooms, we never had a chance to stay for our reservation, because the place was so stinky, room smells smoke as well. no AC in the facility, its terribly hot. we wasted our money we did not end up staying in the hotel we checked out right away and we never get our money back. never ever stay in this place again. the whole place was crap
- Sayuri (4/5): Disappointing - Having a private room was nice for privacy but I could hear everything out in the common room and hallway. No quiet time at night exists here. People were talking loud and playing pool past midnight. I could also hear a person next door talking on the phone all night long.
- Konstantin (7/5): Good -
