Guest Reviews
- Trisha (10/5): -
- Bruss (4/5): - Carpet threads showing, old room white scraped off toilet and tub showing rust. Mice traps inside of room. Doesn't look like pictures
- Maria (1/5): I did not stay and I prefer to sleep in my car, rather than sleeping there. They need to clean and have the property in - Nothing. It is in terrible condition and the property should be closed. The room was dirty super dusty, the pillows and the bed sheets were dirty with sticks and the mattress was very uncomfortable and the towels were smelly, dirty and very old.The carpet was dirty, everything was in terrible condition.
- Derevencha (2/5): - Stink, carpet doory, wow, they have a Sting. Ceiling have a lick
- Taylor (10/5): - Management was very nice and polite
- Maurice (8/5): - Loved it
- Smith (4/5): - Loud people on both sides
- Laurie (4/5): - Not a very good area, I should of stayed at the 8 place across the way. It at least had a nice brightly lite parking lot
- Brian (10/5): - Great place
- roe (7/5): -
- Tracy (8/5): - The bed was comfortable Loud neighbors
- Michelle (6/5): - Everything was great except for the wifi issue. They said there was wifi and gav3ca password but it didnt work. I called the front desk and was told they might havevto reset it. Not sure bc i never got to use it.
- Felicia (1/5): Bad -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Matthew (1/5): Bad - Refrigerator worked in one of the rooms
Tv in one of the rooms
Lamps worked in one of the rooms
We booked three rooms. Combine the three and we have a functional room. We reserved three rooms. All three smelled like smoke or animals as soon as we arrived even though we said no smoking rooms. It didnt seem like they had been cleaned at all. I can't believe the maids or maintenance couldn't smell it because it hit us as soon as we entered the room. We had to leave doors open for 30 to 60 minutes to air out the smell. Tv and outlets didn't work in one room. Another room refrigerator didn't work. Stains on tubs and toilets. AC was not turned on when we arrived so the rooms were hot. It took 5 hours for the rooms to actually get cool after turning on the AC, which we had to wait to do because we had to air out the rooms due to the smell mentioned above. Breakfast offered was fruit loops and raisin bran with milk. No other options like juice or fruit available. We will not go back (we had reservations to stay on the return trip home and made other arrangements due to the poor quality) and recommend not staying here.
I gave a review online and the manager or owner came to our room knocking loudly at 9:45 at night. When I opened the door, he demanded several times to remove the negative review saying I shouldn't post about flaws there are in the hotel on social media.
Poor quality rooms and service.
- Franklin (2/5): - Felt like I was thrown into a 3rd world country. Alot of shady people doing shady things and alot of random parking lot drive throughs all hours of the night. Previous bed bug issues observed. Box spring looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster. Being a professional exterminator, home inspector and former Code enforcement office I was fully aware of how this place runs. The on line ap was very misleading. I had to carry my side arm just to let my dog out for a bathroom break. Left after 15 min. Being a former Discus thrower and college coach I have seen over 100 hotels and this was the worst by far. Im just glad I was alone with no kids. Worse than my Witchita experience. I need to keep a black light with me. I ended up sleeping at a rest stop.
- Jude (5/5): Passable -
- Albert (5/5): Passable -
- Lawrence (8/5): - The room was clean. The beds were comfortable.
- Shirley (6/5): - The rooms were dingy walls had holes graffiti on door
- Douglas (2/5): - Definitely never again, unless I get hooked on drugs
- Sandra (6/5): The people were amazing!! The room was a little on the dirty side ,the tub was really dirty, both mi - There wasn't one! There was nothing to like
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cameron (10/5): - Good
- Barbara (10/5): - Nothing
- Mikheil (2/5): - I came and only then was it cancelled. And I still don't know. Was it really cancelled or not?
- Amanda (7/5): The price was decent for the location since it was right at home for me. The room were clean but need to be updated. - It’s right next to the restaurant/lounge that I love to eat/have drinks at. The sink wouldn’t drain
- Sherry (10/5): - Good
- Travis (2/5): - Place was plain nasty. Dirty, mice infested, and the hitel double charged.
Expedia didmt help either sorting things out.
- David (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was weak with just cereal and coffee, but the location was great and parking right next to the unit means a lot to me. I would stay there again especially for the value. A little more choices of food for breakfast.good cheap place to stay
- Sharmarke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (7/5): An affordable place that is in need of some updating and good cleaning. - The convenience of the location. The advertised price was fantastic compared to other motels. The staff was friendly and accommodation. The room was just alright but the bathroom was absolutely awful. There were bugs in the bathroom and the bathtub had stains all around the inside of it. I think if they remodeled the bathroom with a new tub and cleaned it up better the motel would have a hard time keeping rooms available because everyone would be staying there.
- Derrick (9/5): Superb -
- Derrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fredrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (7/5): Relaxing - convenient location
- Loutfi (8/5): Very good -
- Laxmipathi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laxmipathi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (1/5): Horrible - The front desk man was very nice. The room was horrible. There was a cockroach in the bathroom, and the shower knob was duck taped to the wall. It was really horrible. I left and went to another hotel.
- Latricia (7/5): Good -
- Ann (10/5): - Run down…needs lots of work. A/C, microwave and refrigerator worked great. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but there was no breakfast.
- Steven (1/5): Bad - The clerk told us they didn’t accept dogs and wouldn’t let us check in. Behind locked doors
- John (8/5): Good enough - It was good for the price, big room.
- Clingmon (1/5): Bad - Nothing All
- Barbara (5/5): It was ok for a night. - We did not pay extra for breakfast. The guy checking in and out was very kind and a hard worker. Good location off the highway. Quiet spot. The beds were the cleanest part of the room, thankfully. We were thankful to find a room. This place could be something with some updating and proper cleaning. It seemed safe enough. Carpets were very dirty, mirrors were poorly cleaned, bath tub had a hole in the tile and tub was dirty and the water that came out at first was dirty yellow. Burn hole on bed covers. Furniture was torn up. The only light in the room was a lamp clamped on the headboard.
- Betty (6/5): This hotel needs help🙁 - Location First of all the regular rate for this room is $89.00 we had to pay $237.00 I think that would be able to make some updates. Older hotel, that needs some work.
Some of the furniture was broken. The sofa sleeper had no mattress on it and it was old, and the room smelt like cigarette smoke.
There was dirty water in the tub from somewhat cleaning that didn’t all drain out. There were only two small flat pillows on the bed.
When I booked the room I had selected king size bed with the sofa bed. The first room they gave us was two double beds. Telephone with no cord for connection.
- L (10/5): - Serene and peaceful.
- Gary (10/5): - Could use a vacuum in the room. Otherwise nice.
- Michelle (3/5): Checking in on Booking.com seemed complicated for the employee and he took a photo of my credit card (front and back!). - The location. This property was close to family I was visiting The check in process was awful.
The rooms have very old dilapidated furniture. The couch was stained and had tape on the arm.
- Christine (1/5): Bad -
- Juan (1/5): Bad - Cleanliness, overall upkeep, bed bugs. Bed covers. Running toilet.
- Leslie (6/5): Disappointing - I wanted to like this place. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and accommodating. Our room, however, was run down. Despite the large size of the motel we were put into a room between two rooms occupied by apparently long-term guests, smoking outside our room. A hibachi stood outside one of their rooms. The suspended tile ceiling in our room was drooping and ugly. An insect was entombed inside the framed picture on the wall. Wifi was problematic; we wound up using my cellphone as a mobile hotspot. But the beds were clean, there was a fridge & microwave, and we didn't have any problems with our neighbors. I think a breakfast is available at this hotel but we didn't take advantage. Essentially we paid a higher price than other nights on our trip for a run-down room we were happy to leave.
- M (1/5): Do not stay - I liked the location that is it when I got there they were rude wanted more money because we booked through booking.com isn't a pet friendly place they had two people staying at the whole place...I told them it was the last.of money they didn't care refused to help. Went to a place across the way from them at red roof when they tried to help us and they called to see if they could help us get in with this place they turned us away because we didn't have enough money...they are rude and money hungry, they told us that every hotel around charges a deposit that is a lie I found one somewhere else and they didnt charge not one deposit...I do not recomend this place they dont care about ur family all they care about is how much money they charge u. If u don't care about be ripped off and charged allot of money go there but if u don't pls do not go there.
- Shriniwas (10/5): good stay - nice hotel good
- Beverly (8/5): - Was disappointed to find out that the restaurant was not open. Rooms need a little TLC, but everything is clean and comfortable.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing -
- Thurman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Childers (10/5): Exceptional -
- Childers (10/5): Exceptional - Service and room Not having certain items in room- coffee maker - hair dryer
- Britteny (2/5): Don’t stay, cheap and dirty. - It’s close to the highway The pictures didn’t match the room at all! The light in the room was clipped to the headboard, the only real light was in the bathroom. All the ceiling tiles sagged, the carpet was nasty, there was coloring on the door. The blanket was the WORST, there was only 1 towel and 1 wash cloth. The chairs looked like someone brought them from home and the “family room” was suppose to have a sofa bed and it did not. So yes the room was super cheap but don’t stay here unless you’re desperate.
- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mackenzie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jason (8/5): all around the state was good and quiet. Staff was great. Good price decent room. - extremely quiet The rooms had acoustical ceiling
- April (5/5): Passable -
- Mackenzie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mojica (4/5): front desk never answered to resolve these problems - location was easy to find and easy to hop back on the highway there was no hot water to take a shower room was super cold heater did not work properly and the bed only had sheets NO blankets
- D (2/5): Very poor -
- Jose (3/5): Poor -
- George (9/5): Superb -
- Rosendo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brent A (8/5): -
- Sherry (8/5): Very good - It was very nice ,and affordable Did not like that the bar, and grill said to exist on property is no longer in operation.
- Pamela. (6/5): Pleasant - location and price no amenities
lights not plugged in
place was creepy
- Cynthia (4/5): Convenient location, helpful, friendly staff, disappointing condition of room and amenities. - We brought our own breakfast but did get coffee from the office and that was good. The location was perfect, right off of the interstate. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place in general is very run down. One of the lights in our room did not work. The toilet in our room had one bolt and tipped ever time you sat on the seat. When I got into the shower the knob for the hot water came off in my hand and so I took a very quick, very cold shower. It was advertised that there would be a hair dryer in the room. There was not and though the staff was very nice and helpful he could not locate one and I had to borrow one from a family member in another room that had brought her own from home.
- Brian (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (8/5): - Very average not bad not good
- Albory (7/5): Good -
- Newton (7/5): Good -
- Michael (6/5): - Marsden is a very small community and not good restaurant options.
- Roger (4/5): Just a place to stay warm. - All I can say is it was clean. Entrance door you could see parking lot around the frame. Chain lock was broken. Shower rod ready to fall. It was like stepping back in time. Breakfast was sad. Milk and cereal, no bread.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Sad day! - We about froze! The heater didn’t work much! We slept in our clothes trying to be warm!
Was thankful to be off the road but it was ruff being so cold! Glad we did have hot water!
- Lois (8/5): - Easy to deal with the front desk.
- Robert (4/5): yuck - Everything in the room was sticky and grimy. The fridge was inplugged and contained spoiling food.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Stay only if desperate. - Dirty, desolate and tub held together with duct tape. Floors felt damp. Breakfast left alot to be desired....a few apples, coffee, tea and maybe a bowl of cereal offered.
- Kara (2/5): Please anyone read before staying! Horrendous! - Nothing was clean, half the lights in the place did not work. Went to eat under their pavilion with my children. It had so much bird poop and dead birds, yes I mean multiple long past dead birds, that I nearly vomited. My room was not much better. I pulled the beds out in my room "129" to reveal cigarette butts in my non-smoking room, 2 eggs behind each bed, soda cans, dirty diapers, brown toilet bowl, pubic hair and pee on the seat. They said the phone lines were down but the wifi was working. So they purposefully moved me to where wifi did not work. I know this because when i was leaving, the man who checked me in said in his room he did not want us slowing down his wifi. Oh yah, i know it was his room that the front desk man went into because when i was checking out he left his curtains open. He was sleeping there without much cloths on... not what my family and I was paying for. I feel tremendously disrespected and all most insulted by Wyndham for allowing my family to stay in this dumpster. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME REPERCUSSIONS FOR THIS. IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
- Wil (2/5): - This place was horrible. The staff kept the lobby locked ALL the time. There was no coffee in room and the floors were filthy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient location right off the interstate. But at front desk was a setting of tables and a full food counter, but only coffee was available for breakfast. Nont what one expects from a Travelodge.
- Tyler (2/5): I don’t recommend anyone stay here - Hotels.com charged me for the room then the hotel also charged me for the room so I payed double for a not so clean room. It had hot water and a comfy bed but that’s about all I can say.
- Tommie Sue (2/5): - It was alwgull i will never stay there again the phone did not work the internet did not work no soap tv did not work coffee pot was dirty and did not have any cups the place needs to be shut down it was the worst i ever saw spider web and curtain was falling off
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The bathtub calk was black/dirty on 40% of the surround, tile by tub was almost black/dingy in front corner, bathroom door frame was coming apart, only 1 bath towel in room, TV needed special instructions to get cable system to work, telephone in room didn't have a wire to plug into wall plug.
Even though this was a low cost hotel you expect much higher quality from a Wyndom Branded Hotel!!! Old,dingy and poorly operated.......really?!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Looked like bates motel. Deserted looking. Report said 16.4 miles from Reelfoot Lake, but it was 60 miles from the lake. Very misleading.
- David (4/5): Underwhelming - Both stays, coming and going to Chicago, breakfast room wasn’t open at the appointed time, and didn’t have the king bed reserved, nor any towels on the 2nd stay until we had to call twice, which reminds me, phoneand fridge in the room didn’t work.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location of the hotel was great. Did not have working phones. The customer service was alright..
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away - Room had holes in the wall. Sheets and towels were severely stained. To save time there was not one thing good about this hotel. Disgusting!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place didn't look used. It looked like it had been deserted. We were the only ones there and it was 5:30 in the evening. Everything on the exterior looked like it needed a lot of work. The curtains in the room didn't hang properly. There was outside light coming into the room all night. I hardly slept. There wasn't even a lock on the door for extra security. This place should not even be approved for guests. We would never have stayed if the room had not already been paid for.
- William (6/5): Ok for a fast sleepover - Hotel needs updated badly, however it’s in a little town with no economic growth. Breakfast was terrible even though it was just continental.
- Sherri (6/5): Pass by if possible - Creepy run down looking motel from the outside. Drapes inside filthy and falling off the rods and look terrible from the outside. Sofa had dirty mismatched cushions. Bed was comfy with clean sheets. Bathroom was clean. Bag for ice bucket looked reused.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Rundown, dirty, terrible service, everything is broken, including motels washer, dryer. don't expect clean towels.
