The ski valet is a difference maker. Dinner at 192 was delicious, and the entire staff was friendly, and they really went out of their way to make sure our stay was exactly what we wanted. We were there mostly the ski, and the proximity to the slopes, the heated pool (with two hot tubs), and the aforementioned ski valet made the experience wonderful. We'll be back for sure.

Service is amazing, setting is perfect, location is unbeatable, rooms and amenities are all very nice -- but it's the staff that truly make this place special. From the moment we set foot on property we felt pampered. Our bags and skis were whisked away without us having to touch a thing. Every morning we popped down to ski valet and the staff greeted us with smiles, warm boots, and dry skis. Loved every minute!

They keep your boots warmed up and all your equipment right there so you can boot/helmet up, grab your equipment and walk a short way right to the lift. I shared a two queen room and it was very spacious and bathroom also roomy. The gym was refreshingly well-equipped with not just cardio but a good range of resistance machines. Even a glute machine! No way! The hot tubs and pool and sauna also right there w gym. Taos Village is a charming and friendly place with interesting shops nd food options. I will be coming back.

We’ve stayed in the same room two years in a row and hope to book it again next year; it’s perfect for our family. The one-bedroom setup with a fireplace and a large, comfortable pull-out couch is ideal with two little kids. Everything was spotless, and the service was exceptional. Their text messaging system is a game-changer—quick texts get immediate responses and fast help without needing a call. We were also incredibly grateful for Elliot, who picked us up from town and even helped us grab a grocery order—a huge help during a week-long stay with little ones. We can’t wait to return.

We will be staying there moving forward. Steps from Lift 1 as well as the Gondolita over to the ski school, the location could not be better. Our 1-Bedroom suite was much larger than expected and came with a washer/dryer stack in room that was very convenient for our family. The ski valet was very nice and even warmed my boots before heading out each day. Will be back next year!

27kent (10/5): Awesome staff at the Blake! - I just wanted to call out all of the amazing staff at the Blake. From the valet who parks the car and takes your bags, to the front desk staff, and the ski valet that helps you with your boots and skis, everyone is so friendly and helpful at every turn. There's never an attitude of that's not really my job or trying to push off any responsibility for any reasonable request that comes up. My son's and I are regulars with this place, and there's nowhere. I would rather stay in Taos. The genuinely caring attitude, super clean and first class facilities are totally unmatched. The hot tub and pool is always a good tradition with my crew, and we always leave in a good mood. Just want to call these guys out and say thank you so much.
Anita (6/5): Fine enough - The location of the hotel and the hotel itself is great. The guys at the ski valet are fantastic! The service at the hotel is somewhat lacking. While pleasant, we noticed that they are completely overwhelmed by how crowded they get during these winter weeks, which is normal but should be managed better. The staff don’t seem to know a lot about anything (restaurants/shops) outside the hotel so you cannot rely on asking them. Rooms were moderately tidied when housekeeping did come and the restaurant is sloooow. Even when no one is in the place. It’s a shame as we liked the property and the skiing but for the amount that is being charged, I would have expected more top notch service.

Both years we have stayed at The Blake and you really can’t beat the awesome amenities like hot tubs and spa after a long day on the mountain and the ski in ski out location in the heart of the ski area is supreme! The staff a very nice and considerate of all your needs from before your stay and even checking in once you’re long gone. We can’t wait to return at the end of this year!

It was closer to use the restroom in my room than to go downstairs at the base lodge! We were treated like royalty, but in a laid back family type way. I love the options for environmental consciousness, and having the valet for our car, the ski valet, and all the little extras, like teas that were out of this world and fresh fruit every day! It was also amazing to sit in the hot tubs and be able to swim in the heated pool every day… and don’t forget the ice rink and fabulous shops and restaurants within a 2-5 minute walk.

alextelem_nl2025 (10/5): The Blake is Unparalleled and Unforgettable!! - This was my third visit to The Blake since it opened and my first time taking advantage of the Community Outreach Weekend Specials available to Taos County Residents a couple times a year in an effort to make Taos Ski Valley more accessible to the average local. It is a beautiful initiative and I was very grateful to book a night at this extraordinary resort, known for exquisite serenity and a gentle and caring staff. If you have never been, it is an unforgettable experience in an unforgettable place. The lore and history of Taos Ski Valley is legendary and unparalleled. A beautiful coffee table book and historical record is positioned in every room. The hotel is filled with beautiful art including much art revolving around the Original Inhabitants of the area, Taos Pueblo, which is a world heritage site and well worth visiting during your stay. The first Friday of every month there is an art and culture guided tour with live music and snacks. The hotel's restaurant, named for the small Piper Cub airplane which Ernie Blake (neé Ernst Bloch) used in his early years of scouting, not only provides world-class service and amazing food, but is located with incredible views overlooking a mountain stream, that tumbles down through the small intimate village. If you are looking for a fresh experience, to fall in love again with the mountains, a place where all are welcome, where the feeling is that of "One People Under One Sky," then you could do far worse than booking a stay at The Blake and exploring the amazing terrain just outside the door--which is absolutely world-class. Stay at least two nights if at all possible! I stayed one night and it was painful to leave by noon the next day. In closing, I am already looking forward to my next opportunity to play viola for a few minutes off the balcony at mid-day to bustling and happy throngs of TSV guests! Oh, and TWO hot tubs by the river AND a heated pool. This place is PURE BLISS for core skiers and mountain lovers from all parts of the World 🌎!! Trust me, I telemark...AND telemón!! 😇🏔️ 🐏 🪶

This has become our regular go-to place, and it continues to exceed expectations. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with a mountain-modern aesthetic that really enhances the whole experience. Whether you're looking out over the river or up at the stunning mountain views, you can’t go wrong. (Tip: request a river-side room for the soothing sounds of the water or a mountain-side room if you want to wake up to breathtaking views.) The staff is phenomenal—warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. It’s clear they love where they work, and that energy carries over to guests. We also love the amenities: the large workout room is perfect if you want to stay active, the sauna is great for unwinding, and the outdoor pool by the river is truly magical—especially in the cool mountain air. Taos Ski Valley is beautiful year-round, but there’s something extra special about being here for the Fourth of July. Fresh mountain air, scenic hiking, mountain biking, and the chance to hop on a chairlift to explore more of the mountain—it’s the perfect way to enjoy the season. 553kathig (10/5): Fabulous summer getaway! - We live in Taos and took advantage of the community weekend at Taos Ski Village, staying at The Blake. The property and the staff were all wonderful. They managed to get us the riverside room we wanted and check us in early, and then the fun began. We loved the easy stroll from the hotel to everything in the village and the scenic lift rides (which we did multiple times). Hot tubs and pool were lovely! And, Tristen and Kaitlin were our gracious drivers when we wanted to head up the mountain to the Bavarian and Lift 4. They were both so fun to visit with. And others in the hotel and front desk were delightful. I loved that they texted us and we could use that easy method to communicate during our visit. We really had a first class experience at The Blake and look forward to doing it again soon!

I was able to communicate with them through texts and get any questions/requests answered quickly. The property is incredibly beautiful. As expected, the stores/restaurants have limited service due to it being the offseason. Would highly recommend staying here.

They made it very easy to bring our dog, and even provided a dog bed and treats. There are great hikes and mountain bike trails just steps from the front door, and it's nice and cool during the summer.

Friendly and helpful staff, two fine meals (dinner and breakfast) and a very nice king room with a nice kitchenette and two bathrooms, one with a soaking tub. Nothing else was needed for a great stay including a washer/dryer in the room.
coleg112 (8/5): Pristine town and resort. - Pristine town, resort and rooms. If you are a beginner skier-I’d select a different mountain with gradual slopes. This one is very steep! The staff were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. We weren’t prepared for a cashless town. We loved the energy of the resort and town.
sjsmart10 (10/5): Fantastic Spring Break at The Blake - We had a wonderful spring break at The Blake for the second year in a row. The Blake offers, by far, the nicest accommodations in Taos and is our favorite ski-in ski-out resort stay in the US. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and it was plenty of room for our family of four. The amenities, decor, service, etc. are all top-notch. The pool and hot tubs are kid favorites! It gets a little warm in Taos in March but beats the crowds of Colorado resorts at spring break. We will definitely be back to Taos and will always stay at The Blake!

We enjoyed the amenities and the ski valet was a wonderful convenience. Definitely recommend checking out the gym. Very much looking forward to our next visit!!!!!

The decor and vibes are so beautiful and well done, I really appreciate how they pay respect to the surrounding tribes/cultures/local businesses. The staff is friendly and helpful in every aspect; property is also very clean and taken care of. I Would recommend eating at 192 as well, the food was delicious :)

Skiing is fun, but a lot of work… lugging skis, poles, boots, etc. The Ski Valet folks are extremely helpful, making the ski experience stress-free and super convenient. The main lift is just a few steps away from the Valet area. PERFECT SKI-IN/SKI-OUT set-up!!

Everything was great and highlighted with morning yoga and attentive ski valets. What was most impressive was the friendly atmosphere and rewarded talks with both staff and fellow travelers. E9783JTma (10/5): Ski - Great location to ski at Taos. Everything we needed was right at hotel - ski rental, retail shops, restaurant. Pool and hot tubs are very enjoyable. 192 restaurant is located in hotel. No game room for the kids like some ski hotels have but the pool is nice and warm so we spent our time hanging out there. We would definitely go back and stay at the Blake. Lizzy and the staff were terrific. There was always a smiling staff member whenever we needed anything.
61marshally (10/5): Great experience AGAIN at The Blake in Taos Ski Valley - This place is the best low-key luxury hotel right at the foot of the mountain; just finished our second spring break trip here with my wife, 3 teenagers and 2 dogs, already booked for next year; don’t have to leave once you arrive and drop the keys with the valet, ski rental is in the hotel and the best part for skiers is the Ski Valet, no dragging your gear to the room and you walk right out in the morning to the main lift; the town is small and manageable and dogs are treated like royalty, non-pretentious vibe that we really enjoy; the staff at The Blake is low-key as well and take great care of you when things are needed, but aren’t over the top like other high-end places; it’s worth every $ to stay at The Blake, best all-around ski-destination I’ve ever been to
NellsonB (10/5): Fantastic hotel right next to the slopes - Everyone we met that works here was super friendly, from the valet, to the front desk, to the ski valet guys. The proximity to the slopes and the ski valet take all the frustration out of skiing. Our room was spacious and very nice. The bathroom in our room was fantastic. We never noticed the maid service, and the food at 192 was amazing. We want to bring the family back here next year our experience was so good.

They were just a text away to answer any questions and make our annual Father/Son ski trip perfect! Everyone from the valet, front desk, The 192 (restaurant) and ski valet were amazing. We can’t wait to return!

kcm612 (10/5): Luxurious and Convenient - This was our second stay at the Blake for a ski vacation with my husband and our 2 young kids. The location is perfect. The room was extremely well suited to fit all of our ski clothes and equipment, and I really enjoyed the on property amenities, including the Ski Valet, ski rental, and spa. Soecial shout out to the guys and the Ski Valet who were super friendly at helpful. We didn’t get to use the outdoor heated pools but hopefully we’ll have a chance to on a return trip! Also as a mom traveling with young kids, I appreciate the hotel having free washers and dryers to use as well as a microwave. The 192 in the hotel serves delicious food, although I miss the Shredder Bowl (breakfast) and Skillet Cookie (dinner) from last season! The hausmeisters were super helpful and quickly responded to any request. Overall, a wonderful, luxurious stay and we can’t wait to return.
stevezI3660MB (10/5): Best trip ever. - My wife and I just got back from Taos ski valley and had the best time at the Blake. The people were very friendly and always making sure we were good. The hot tub was a great place to relax after a day of skiing. They gave us a ride into town and picked us up. The driver Aaron was great and told us a lot about the area. You can tell he as well as everyone really enjoys working for the Blake. We have already recommended the Blake to friends and family. We are already thinking about booking another trip back.
philnfood (10/5): Best stay for skiing Taos - Fantastic hospitality. My wife and I arrived in the middle of the night due to late flight into ABQ and then a 3 hour drive up. There was someone there waiting for us to help get us quickly checked-in and our rental car valet parked. The ski valet takes care of the boots and skis and will have everything ready for you to hit the slopes without much delay. Front desk checks in on you via text every day to make sure all the amenities such as the hot chocolate and coffee are fully stocked. Ordering from the room service option went to the restaurant and depending on how busy they were they may or may not be able to fulfill food orders. Room: spacious bathroom, mountain facing balcony with a table and chairs, refrigerator and comfy bed with ample pillows. On every floor there was a water filling station. Only downside is that the ice machine is on the first floor. Facility: fantastic ski valet, lobby, gym, heated pool and sauna.

They absolutely take care of you and want you to have the best possible visit. The day we checked out they literally took all our bags and packed our entire car while we were on the mountain! I was so impressed with this place. Will definitely be back.

riverb0atr (10/5): Taos Ski Trip and a lot More - The Blake is a skier/paradise. The ski valet is incredibly convenient. The ski valet guys are super helpful with any equipment needs. The ski valley sports store is next door if you need anything. The hotel is located in the heart of the ski village, so all restaurants are 10 steps away (ski lift about 20 steps away). The spa is a great experience. You can ride all day then check in for the steam room (if you have a spa appointment that day) (while all your equipment is left at the ski valet). Hotel staff are incredible. Everyone is super nice and snappy with responding to any and all requests. Car valet guys were great too. Car was ready to go whenever we needed it. The rooms are very well kept. Hallways very well kept. Front desk is extremely helpful (and fast!) for whenever you need them. Try to make time to explore the city/county of Taos. A lot of very interesting history and art there. I primarily came for the skiing/riding but didn’t get the best weather conditions and still had an amazing time in Taos, New Mexico. And if you’re going to come check it out, then you should stay at the Blake.

My biggest complaint is they don't want to except cash; I understand the inconvenience of cash, but IT IS LEGAL TENDER and when offered to you to offset a debt you must take it or risk not settling debt. When our cash is not excepted, we have a major problem in our country. Not everyone wants or has a credit card. Please change your policy on cash.
