This is the only negative thing about this hotel. For the price, it was really good value. Not for those who want a quiet getaway the whole area is always loud but manageable with the doors and windows closed. The aircon was super cold in the room much needed in Bali.

• Sandy (9/5): Great place to stay. - Great location and lovely staff. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Staff were able to assist in organising a birthday surprise at short notice. Very impressed with the service. Only thing we didn’t like was the noise from the road at night. The traffic noise was awful at times. Occasionally some guests made excess noise and yelling in the hallways in the middle of the night.

The shower had as much pressure as a drizzle of rain. Didn’t feel too clean, toilet had hard stains, decorative pillows were dirty. The hallways are constantly noisy and the doors beep if left open, and lots of guests do and so they keep throughout night. Thumping from upstairs.

Always so happy to see us, always remembered our names or our orders. The service was always extremely quick and accommodating along with being in a fabulous location. The food and drinks were affordable too, we didn’t really ever have to leave the hotel if we didn’t need to. The Buffett breakfast was seamless and organised! Nothing. I think it was actually all perfect for our needs!

• Luke (6/5): Be careful with the aircon not working!! - The room was lovely and modern and spacious. The first room I was put in the aircon was not working. Which they obviously would have known but tried to get away with it. They had a man stick his head in the roof have a look and tell me I didn't have it on the right settings which I did and closed my curtains and told to wait an hour. It had already been on for 4+ hours - it wasn't working. I went back to the desk and said no I'm not waiting, I don't want my curtains closed for the air con to have to work, which it didn't anyway and they ended up moving me to another room. Thankfully that aircon worked. How could they not know the aircon doesn't work and put customers in there. Absolutely ridiculous....!! The road is sooo loud at night too.

The jacuzzi on the roof with the bar was amazing. The pool is really nice too. The hotel is nice, but for the price you can stay at way nicer hotels. Not a fan of the location just busy streets everywhere any where you walk you just get constantly berated. The food was average. Surprisingly the Indonesian food on the menu was not very nice. The breakfast was pretty bad and expensive for what it was. We had paid breakfast but ended up just going elsewhere for breakfast. When checking in my mum had requested a balcony room but they said they were full. Despite advertising vacancies. My mum offered to pay extra just so she could have a balcony. They said no. Then my cousin checked in she had a balcony room with a pool view but was on a different floor and asked to be moved to the same floor as everyone else so they gave her an upgraded suite with two levels- loungeroom and massive balcony. That was really lovely, but when we asked prior if my mum could change rooms and pay they said no. I really felt deterred from this experience. They gave a free upgrade to someone even though before this someone offered to pay for the upgraded room and they say no??? Doesn't make sense.

• tinaross (10/5): SOLIA SHINES - Solia is located in the heart of Legian, surrounded with plenty of facilities such as reputable money changers, laundry, mini marts, cafes and great dining. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, cleaned daily and have both a safe and a refrigerator. There are two swimming pools and bars with restaurants. Room service is excellent too and the quality and choice of food is exceptional. The biggest drawcard for me at Solia, is the devoted staff. Always professional, smiling and obviously, happy in their work place. The security is also a great asset and you will feel safe and comfortable at all times. Massages are also available for guest and on different nights, there is also live entertainment. I am a repeat and happy customer at this very exceptionally managed establishment.

Anies hotel manger with her front desk staff went beyond a call of duty to make sure our accommodation was very good also our Room cleaning guy Antara on the 3 floor. Who cleaned our room 321. Ms. Amanda, Ms. Ania (the manager) and Mr. Andi, and all the rest of the team whose names I can’t recall, did everything to ensure an amazing stay! The room was amazing, everything clean and perfect, Aircon was working perfectly, and everything was really great! The best way to enjoy your vacation! Everything was amazing, nothing negative. I read other reviews that say about noises, it’s nothing. The hotel is in the center and really at the best place, some times might have very low noise from the road but is seriously nothing and the location is amazing. Everything was really great.

A huge highlight was the resturant team lead by Agung (resturant captain) who himself and his team always went out of their way to make sure we had the best food and time. Room was good size and the spa was really well priced and very good. The location was really central to shopping and only a 5 to 10min walk from the breach.

• Departure00960818588 (10/5): Solia Legian for a memorable stay - Whether you walk out the front or back door you're in the city centre. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, bank, beach. The atmosphere is fantastic. Everyone is genuinely happy to see you and enquire on how your day is going. The staff can't do enough for you. They just want you to enjoy every facility available. The rooms are large and great for families. Asta the concierge who's always smiling like the sun is ever so helpful and friendly. The reception staff and others always shouting out your name greeting you. This is like an extended family. Food is fantastic and at a great price. If ever I go to Bali again I will definitely always stay at Solia. This time I broke up my stay between Legian and Seminyak. Next time it will be just Solia Legian. So easy to go anywhere from there. Better stop now or I might write an encyclopaedia on Solia and its staff. Thank you Solia for making my stay comfortable and enjoyable

Very comfortable beds. The staff were really great, the bar with pool table was a great way to spend an afternoon. There was no shade available in the Jacuzzi and associated bar area which prevented us from being able to use the space.

In house restaurant has really good pricing and the food quality + taste was a 9/10 for us. 2 pools, ground floor pool 1.3 - 1.5 mtr deep, roof top pool perfect for kids. Buffet breakfast with a large variety of food for $15pax. Most favourite thing about this place is their staff. They are all lovely! I cant fault Solia.
