Guest Reviews

- Darren (9/5): Almost perfect - Beautiful property and location, super staff. Breakfast
- Peter (10/5): Perfect location, super friendly and professional staff and great quality of the restaurant. - Our stay was simply amazing. What stood out above all was the exceptional quality of the service. We felt truly welcome and the staff did everything to make our stay memorable. In case nothing to mention. Everything was Perfect.
- Yash (10/5): - The staff was very friendly, they helped me reschedule my dates as international travel was disrupted. Because the same category room was not available on of the days, they gave me 3 dinner vouchers complimentary for 3 nights as well. Although we arrived late the first day, they voluntarily accommodated us with a lunch voucher too. It’s boutique hotel with less number of suites which helps the staff to attend the guests with a lot of precision. The food was extraordinary and the location was top notch. Just a stone’s throw away from the main square and all the restaurants and bars.
- Tom (1/5): - Wasted 420 dollars. Felt bad in the place, was not a good vibe, and had to leave in the rain to find another place. Didn’t get even a partial refund. The hosts are not considerate or compassionate at all about our situation, just wanted our money
- Meghane (6/5): Great location - debatable value for money - Great location close to all amenities, the building is stunning. The value for money is just not there.
The WiFi is patchy, and yes we’re on holiday so we should log off but it cuts off just for simple google maps research.
At £300/night and with the hotel seemingly empty, we got put into a room right next to a chapel with everyday service at 6am. Whilst this is a nice way to wake up, this is just not the level expected for Relais & Chateaux.
Asked everyday for breakfast time which I would understand in a busy hotel but every morning there was only us there.
There is no ambiance in the hotel, it’s effectively just a place to sleep. The staff is sometimes there but this is not a place to grab a drink.

- Albrecht (10/5): - zentrale Lage; überaus freundliches Personal; hervorragendes Frühstück; geräumige Zimmer - vor allem im Obergeschoß;
- Nicola (9/5): Highly recommend when staying in Cusco - The property is a gorgeous building with really lovely rooms, that are huge and have massive bathrooms with a lovely shower and bath. They have a bubble bath service and a fire place in the room where they can come and light the fire to make the room cosy. They also provided lovely hot water bottles at turn down service which was needed after long days spent outdoors - in the mountains - in spring. The hotel is situated in a perfect location around a beautiful square, walking distance to all the best restaurants and shops. Other than the spa there’s nothing really to do at the hotel other than being in your room or in the seating area by the fire. Not the end of the world as there’s so much to see and do in the area. They could also have more outdoor seating.
- Maria Sofia (10/5): - Location e accoglienza Cena
- Dr Francisco Garcia (10/5): Intimate and relaxing - The staff was friendly N/A
- Simon (9/5): Glorious spacious rooms with huge bathrooms and comfortable beds. No. 1 position in Cusco. - Location and rooms absolutely superb. Breakfast excellent. The staff (or the main concierge at least) could do with more training in English. The little square in teh centre could be developed into a nice garden but is rather plain at present. The shower was a little weak and very slow with hot water.
- Joseph (9/5): Special and luxurious in the very heart of Cusco. - Genuinely exceptional, boutique 5-star hotel. The staff are all amazing and know you by name. The food and services are amazing. We had a small issue with airport pickup thag soyred the first impression, but the staff went above and beyond to make it better.
- Joseph (10/5): Special place worth the splurge. - A true luxury hotel. The staff went above and beyond for us, even upgrading us to a huge balcony room. Was like a peaceful little oasis in the middle of Cusco’s festival season. Nothing. Every detail was considered.
- Dion (6/5): The building is beautiful, but the level of service is not at an international 5-star standard. - Beautiful building in a great location. 1. Staff were slow to respond to requests; reception was often unstaffed
2. Room was cold and heating was insufficient to warm the room
3. There were signs to not flush used toilet paper in the toilets - this is not acceptable in a 5-star Relais & Chateaux property
4. In the main guest lounge there was a lovely fireplace which was never lit; the lounge was consistently too cold to relax in
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (9/5): Beautiful quiet setting for restful stay - Beautiful building and space, not that obvious from the street. It’s very quiet and peaceful here and the staff were very helpful when we had any enquiries, they even fixed my backpack when it broke. Had a massage in their spa room, was very relaxing. Dinner was top notch too - thanks to Michel in the restaurant. Nothing really but it is very very quiet, so not the kind of place that’s buzzy in the evenings if that’s what you’re after.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alberto (10/5): - Really good service, excellent location in the heart of Cusco. All the staff is very friendly and helpful.
- Joseph (10/5): Amazing - Very incredible everything!!!! Massage was outstanding Nothing
- Ye (10/5): Exceptional - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Inkaterra La Casona Relais & Châteaux, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality, which set the tone for the entire stay.
The hotel is a beautiful blend of colonial charm and modern comfort. The interior is tastefully decorated with rich history, showcasing the unique architecture of the historic house while offering all the luxurious amenities one could ask for. The attention to detail in every corner of the property made it feel like a serene sanctuary.
Our room was not only spacious but also impeccably clean and comfortable. The bed was plush, and we were able to enjoy restful nights surrounded by peaceful surroundings. The bathrooms were equally impressive, featuring luxurious finishes and all the necessary amenities for a perfect stay.
One of the highlights of our experience was the service. The staff at Inkaterra La Casona were exceptional—always attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure our stay was perfect. Whether it was arranging a tour, offering recommendations for local activities, or simply ensuring we had everything we needed, their hospitality made us feel truly valued.
Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the stunning city of Cusco. We were able to easily visit the major sights, yet it was a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle when we returned.
The food at the hotel’s restaurant was another standout. The dishes were expertly prepared, showcasing local ingredients with a contemporary twist. Dining at the hotel was a true culinary delight.
Overall, Inkaterra La Casona Relais & Châteaux made our stay in Cusco unforgettable. It is a perfect blend of luxury, history, and exceptional service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - I had the immense pleasure of staying at this charming colonial-style hotel during my recent visit to the city of Cusco. From the moment I crossed its majestic doors, I was embraced by the warm and hospitable atmosphere that characterizes this place. Every corner of the hotel exudes a timeless elegance that harmoniously combines with modern amenities, providing a dreamlike experience.
The hotel staff deserves a special mention. Their professionalism and dedication are palpable in every detail, from the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms to the personalized attention in every interaction. Each member of the staff seems to work in perfect harmony, creating an environment of collaboration and excellence that results in a truly memorable experience for guests.
I would like to especially thank the reception team, whose cordial and efficient service facilitated my stay from the very first moment. Also, the housekeeping team, whose diligence and meticulousness ensured that each day began in a clean and welcoming environment. Last but not least, the restaurant staff, whose kindness and high-quality cuisine made every meal a true celebration.
In summary, my brief stay at this hotel not only met but exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend this establishment to any traveler seeking a haven of tranquility, luxury, and exceptional service.

- Carolina (10/5): Elegant and intimate Relais & Chateaux Hotel in the heart of Cusco - Small, cozy, intimate, elegant. A jewel in the heart of the city! It was all great and we stayed just few hours so very difficult to tell if something wrong.
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lena (10/5): If you’re debating it, stay here! You will not regret it. Gorgeous historical property and very bespoke experience. Beau - Absolutely magical property. Every detail was thoughtful, including the sustainable bathroom items. Loved the customized feel of everything and felt very pampered. Nothing!
- Fred (10/5): - A really amazing boutique hotel with 11 rooms. Staff are super friendly, helpful and proud to be helping their guests. Food was really good which is not always the case in hotels. Again, locally sourced ingredients. Rooms are big, quiet and very clean. 100% recommended
- Marco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manuela (10/5): A refined hotel with great attention to the guest - It is a charming hotel with a few rooms, all of them are suites. The hotel is located in a beutiful historic building just behind plaza de Armas.
The furnishings of the entire hotel are refined, refined and antique and create the atmosphere of noble colonial palaces.
The rooms are well-finished in every detail and well-equipped. they combine the charm of the ancient with the comfort of the modern.
What makes the difference in this hotel is the attention to detail. for example, in the evening when the room is prepared for the night a hot water bottle is placed in the bed to make the guests find the heated bed, the tea that is offered as a complement every afternoon offers a wide choice of drinks and sweets. Nothing
- Marina (5/5): Passable - Great location, warm attitude from the staff Noisy, very noisy. There are 11 suites in the hotel with the windows overlook a small courtyard, the light and the music from 6 till 22, hard to sleep even with the closed everything.
There are problems with the water flow in the room, very slow. Hot water wasn’t hot but so so warm. We informed about that but unfortunately nothing happen.
- Bijal (5/5): A Disappointing R&C stay. - Nice property, well presented and beautifully furnished. Lovely welcome. Big let down... there was extremely poor housekeeping where used water glasses from the previous night remained unchanged, the bathrooms were left dirty with shampoo bottles open, soap wrappers left in the shower, hair in the bathtub. The hot water bottles were left inside the bed from the night before exactly as we left them in the bed. No laundry bag. This type of house keeping is not expected from an R&C property. This was a two star housekeeping service.
- Andreas (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (8/5): - Loud neighbors woke us up in the middle of the night 2 out of the three nights
- Karen (10/5): - we loved it!!!
- Jill (10/5): Truly exceptional hotel - A truly exceptional hotel N/a. It was perfect
- Julia (10/5): - This hotel is really one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The hotel itself is very nice but the staff are next level. They are so friendly, helpful and really make a positive difference to the stay. They are so accomodating and I could not have asked for anything more. We left early one morning and missed breakfast so they provided packed lunches for us. The food at the hotel is amazing as well. Really rates as one of the best around the world. Highly recommend. Would give 10 stars if I could.
- Sue (9/5): Beautiful hotel, amazing staff - The property was beautiful and the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. A little noisy outside when windows open for fresh air
- Bunnyr (10/5): Very excellent stay. - Breakfast was great. Our room faced the square so very noisy during the night. Staff very helpful, professional and attended to our needs. Nothing,
- Dominik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jody (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel was amazing. We loved everything about it. The pillows were not that comfortable.
- Medina (10/5): Exceptional - Tranquilidad Check out 10 am
- Lilia (10/5): No amount of praise will pay it justice. Inkaterra is just fabulous! -
- Jennifer (10/5): perfect stay - book this you won’t regret it - my favourite hotel n the whole world. stunning property. best location in Cusco. nothing is too much trouble for the excellent staff. really in a class of its own we stayed in the plaza suite which is amazing but can get a bit noisy
- Lilia (10/5): look no further! - Everything was top notch!
- Sonsoles (10/5): Very pleasant - The room and the breakfast was amazin! 10/10
- Linda (10/5): amazing food in historic building - quiet, well kept historical property, live that it is Peruvian owned and operated a bit cold temperature wise and fire place didn’t function well
- Kanako (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sherrod (10/5): Relaxing - I enjoyed the luxury of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The amenities were excellent and it was a relaxing experience - exactly what we needed after 4 days of camping and hiking the Inka trail. The only downside was that our credit card wouldn’t process in their online payment form, so we ended up paying slightly more upon arrival.
- Uri (8/5): Very good - hotel location is perfect at the center of the historic city
