- NicSils (8/5): Great location, hotel needs to be updated compared to other hotels in pricerange - I stay here for the location, as it's super close to Clemson, as well as the pool and beautiful views of the lake and the trail around the lake. I wish the restaurant and the little breakfast "to go" stand had more healthy options, as we had to find restaurants in the area for breakfast and dinner. The restaurant on site needs an upgrade as well, as it's just too dark, our booth wasn't clean and its just a pub-like atmosphere with very average food. I've stayed here several times now and I have to say its time for an upgrade to this hotel's rooms. The bathrooms have very dull lighting and our toilet was very stained with a seat that wasn't tightened. They put out travel size soaps and toiletries that don't last one use, instead of the large pump hand soap. The towels need an upgrade, with some fluffy, others so thin and scratchy, that you can't dry with them. The room fridge had a broken leg, so it was difficult to open the door to it, and the carpeting is pretty dark and dingy, and should be replaced. For the price and being a golf club, a more modern upgraded room is expected and would be greatly appreciated.

I booked this because my son loves hot tubs and the hot tub/pool facility was unfortunately closed for a few more weeks (until mid April) so that was a bummer. It was nice that they offered breakfast for purchase in the conference center next door but the breakfast wasn't great. I couldn't find any info about wifi or where the gym was in the room and no one at the desk when I checked a few times.

- Amy (10/5): Beautiful and quiet location - Nice quiet location but still a short drive to campus and downtown. I didn’t see the coffee station until I was leaving. The front desk staff should have told me about all the amenities and hours. Such a restaurant and coffee etc.
- Angela (10/5): I enjoy coming here and often feels like a vacation - The location wonderful, on a golf courxe, and a lake. The staff gives you a first floor room with a pet. Private exit to walk the facilities, makes it so nice when traveling with a dog. I just love the ourdoors that surrounds this facility its top notch. I am not sure, it has everything that I need.

- Jennifer (6/5): - While not super close to on-campus activities, it’s a lovely location with beautiful views. The pool looks like a great spot for summer. However, the hotel itself is quite dated inside. The beds are uncomfortable and in need of an upgrade, but the biggest problem was how thin the walls were. Even minor sounds from adjacent rooms like coughs, phone conversations, or wake up alarms sounded like they were in our bed. Hall and lobby noise also kept us awake. We also asked front desk staff for recommendations and guidance a couple times during our stay and they were either not knowledgeable about the area or just unhelpful, as they never seemed to have any ideas or answers.

No food or drink options at night without leaving the property. It's not too convenient for late check-ins. . Snack Pantry was REALLY WEAK.

Everything else was sub-par…pun intended😏 Rooms are furnished with very old decor, harsh, bright white lighting, old bathrooms, old carpeting, and those old flowered mattresses from the 90s that you can see through the thin sheets. Oh, and when I arrived around 11:00 at night, I walked into the lobby to an empty desk. I patiently waited for about 15 mins until another group came in and started waiting. I then called the phone number and the front desk phone started ringing. That seemed to make enough noise to call the employee to the desk. I get that it’s sometimes necessary to step away from the desk, but if you’re going to do it, then you either need to only be away for a few mins at a time, or have a bell or camera or something to alert you that guests are waiting.

Pool area was very clean with plenty of umbrellas, clean towels and seating. On-site restaurant was amazing with great food, reasonable prices and a varied menu suitable for kids and adults. Would've loved to have explored the campus more but it was 6 million degrees outside for the duration of our stay (late July). My only complaint (albeit a small one) was that the room refrigerator is very small with no freezer. They made up for it with a huge ice machine on our floor, though. Cleaners were cordial and very friendly. It was refreshing that every staff member that we interacted with over a 3-night stay really seemed to enjoy working there. Thank you all for a wonderful experience and I look forward to staying with you again!
- George (10/5): - The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is right on campus which I enjoyed and was the purpose of my visit. The room was a little tired but I’m being picky. It was clean and quiet and did the job. I had a great nights sleep and the staff were welcoming. Would stay again.

- conquistador74 (10/5): Always great! - We stayed here a second time as my older son attended a camp at Clemson, where he hopes to attend. Just like the first, the staff, all of them, were wonderful. Kind and helpful, it seemed like nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are super comfortable, the pool and cabana were great. Being next door to the Neri Center was great for our tour the next morning with my younger son and my wife. My younger son also enjoyed golf at the course. If things work out, we look forward to our return!

- Colleen (9/5): Excellent choice for a short stay while visiting Clemson University! - This is a reasonably-priced, nice hotel in the perfect location for Clemson University activities! While our room was not fancy, the bathroom looked as though it had been recently renovated, and it was comfortable for a quick stay. It is located within walking distance to the visitor center and just a quick drive to the campus. The hotel grounds, walking trails and pool are gorgeous (with beautiful views of Lake Hartwell and the golf course). There are 2 casual restaurants within walking distance and a small Starbucks on site. Ideally, the carpet inside the room would be replaced with tile, etc. instead (it was dark and dingy; in need of deep cleaning or replacing). And, if you prefer a softer pillow, you may want to bring your own.
