• Jérémy (10/5): Parfait - L’emplacement, le personnel, ainsi que ses conseils. Les chambres sont très grandes et avons pu dormir avec 2 enfants en bas âge dans la même chambre facilement.
• Brittany (10/5): Comfortable stay in a great location - Very cute little villas and pristine beach location. During early morning we’d walk out and snorkel right off the sand! Accommodations were comfortable and very clean. Bedroom was well air conditioned. Living area isn’t air conditioned, but with the fan and leaving doors open it was fine. Nice little kitchen if you want to make meals on your own. We also loved the little pool right outside, it was perfect for our 6 year old. We arranged a taxi and car rental through Heliconia as well which was very convenient. It’s just a short stroll away from restaurants and a store. Everything was great

Hazel organized our transfers and gave good recommendations for New Years Eve. We loved the additional services. • UFUK (7/5): - First of all Hazel in front desk was an amazing host of the property. So helpful, very positive, organizing things when you are in need. the beach next to Heliconia is very nice. Close to the village where you can find shops, markets , dining opportunities. Easy access to ferry and to other beaches. AC only in bedroom but works well indeed. The kitchen can be renewed but it was functional. Seaside amenities are poor. Be aware of extreme level of mosquitos around and never forget good amount of repellants with you.
• Sigal (7/5): - Staying at Heliconia Grove was good! Hazel was very helpful and nice. The villa was nice as well as the amazing pool (: Two things bothered me during my stay. First, throughout the entire visit, the housekeeping staff did not clean the dishes left in the sink, nor did they clean the bedside table in my room, for reasons that are unclear. Second, the path leading to the villa is made of gravel, which makes it quite difficult to roll a suitcase to the villa.

Krásná pláž s rejnoky a baby žraloy a nejvíce nás potěšilo soukromí, které ubytování poskytovalo. Dále velice vstřícný a milý přístup personálu, jmenovitě Hazel, která byla ochotná pomoci ve všech směrech.

• Kornelia (9/5): Sehr gute Lage an der Anse Volbert.traumhafter Strand - Sehr schönes Holzhäuschen mit viel Platz. Schöne Terrasse. Hazel hat uns im Vorfeld einen Mietwagen besorgt. Hat alles bestens funktioniert. Im Schlafzimmer/Badezimmer gab es eine Klimaanlage. Die Lage direkt an der Anse Volbert perfekt. Liegen sowie 2 Kajak vorhanden. Der Bungalow wurde jeden Tag gereinigt. Alles war sauber. Am Strand wenig seegras. Perfekt für lange strandspaziergänge. Wir hatten direkt an der Wasserlinie Rochen gesehen. In näherer Umgebung mehrere Möglichkeiten um essen zu gehen.

The manager Hazel is very helpful and attentive. Car parking on site, plunge pool at unit. No plug in kitchen to wash dishes, told they went rusty and owners were not replacing them! At over $500 per night thats not good. Shower was blocked for 4 days, finally fixed.

• Pascal (9/5): Belle plage au calme - Emplacement magnifique sur une des plus belle plage de l'île (mais il y a des puces de sable doc il faut faire très attention et mettre du produit tropical) , accueil et conseils de la réceptionniste qui est vraiment super sympa ! Le nettoyage n'était pas terrible, des poils étaient présents dans la douche et n'ont jamais été nettoyé, les linges ne sont pas changé si on insiste pas, femme de ménage à changer. Pas de pression d'eau dans la douche (malgré le respect des horaires que l'on nous a indiqué).

• Gregory (10/5): Paradise on your doorstep - We had the most incredible welcome. Hazel would put some of the hotels like Hilton and 4 Seasons to shame with her amazing service. The villa was just a short walk from a stretch of beach that you could only describe as paradise. Anything we needed whilst we were there Hazel responded immediately, it was clear she cared a lot about guest experience. Everything was great.

Dirty kettle in kitchen, no door/curtain in shower (esp since we were travelling with kid and needed privacy), No hot water in shower, non functional mosquito nets, no ac blankets provided. Area and garden around needed maintenance.

The villa's Creole architecture gave us an authentic Seychelles experience, blending traditional charm with modern comfort. The mini pool was a delightful feature, perfect for a refreshing dip at any time of the day. The beach right in front of the villa was breathtaking—clean, pristine, and just steps away. We spent many relaxing hours enjoying the stunning ocean views and warm, inviting waters. The people at Heliconia Grove were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their warm hospitality made us feel at home and added a personal touch to our vacation. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on Praslin. We highly recommend Heliconia Grove for anyone looking for a perfect beach getaway. It's a serene paradise that we can't wait to visit again!

• Jernej (9/5): Superb - Very friendly and helpful staff, peaceful and private estate and almost empty beach at the time of our stay. The private pool was a great addition. The path towards the village (restaurants) is not ideal for walking/baby strollers and a bit dangerous (in particular at night) as there is no pavement.
• Tim (10/5): Hazel the host is in contact constantly before your trip and even arranged a hire car from the jetty. She is super knowl - Location - stone’s throw from the beach. Beach is long and excellent to walk, but not clear waters like some of the other beaches. Property itself was excellent, plunge pool and loungers outside to relax on. Inside central lounge area with bedrooms at each end. Could do with a deeper clean but honestly nit picking here. The village is quiet and there aren’t that many places to go. Hire car is a must.
• Dmitrii (10/5): Exceptional - Hazel is a wonderful, positive, attentive and friendly hostess at this hotel. The same applies to the hotel staff. The hotel is located on the first line of the beach and has a private territory that is completely surrounded by tropical greenery. The hotel grounds and plantings are very well maintained. All villas have their own mini pool with Jacuzzi. It takes 1 minute to walk to the sea from each villa, so there is no need to be on the beach in the open sun. In addition, each villa has its own sun loungers. You can swim on the beach at high tide and low tide. At low tide, it is only necessary to go a little further. The water is clear turquoise in color, sometimes algae are found, but not critically, which are found on many beaches of the Seychelles. There are no big waves here, because the beach is located in a picturesque bay, and there are several green and rocky small islands around. You can take a kayak at the hotel for free and swim to them. The villa is very comfortable. All necessary utensils and equipment are available. And the huge bedroom with a king-size bed, a ceiling fan and a super quiet powerful air conditioner is simply amazing! The villa is made in the local style of wood and with a stylish roof, but everything is maintained in excellent condition. In addition, there is a communal gas barbecue where you can roast fish bought at a nearby market or caught. Supermarkets (3 nearby) and cafes with good quality street food (3-4 nearby) need to be reached on foot to the village center in about 10 minutes. At low tide, you can safely walk there along the beach (the sand is dense and legs don't fall throug), at high tide - on the road, but be careful, sidewalks are not everywhere. At the same time, the hotel is located on the outskirts of the village, so it is quiet at night, the noisy street life of the village is quite far away. Our stay at this hotel exceeded all our expectations and we did not want to leave. -
• Pierre-Alexandre (10/5): - Hazel and her staff were extremely kind and efficient. Their attention to details was very much appreciated. The bungalows are large and very well equipped. The property offers free to use gas BBQs, which allowed us to grill our fish, which we bought at the locat fishmarket every day. We cannot but recommend this place! We tried to find one point to improve, but nothing came to our mind! Well done Heliconia Grove, we will surely come back!
• Pascal (10/5): Great bungalows at one of the best beaches. Perfect for families and couples! - Great size of the apartment with perfect Veranda. Directly located at one of the best beaches of Praslin.
• Dr. (7/5): Nice place with a moderate price-quality ratio - - Location at the beach - Wooden huts with a very nice, tropical feel of the interior - Little pool with every bungalow - Free kayaks Generally, the bungalows appeared well maintained. So we were surprised about: - Bed bugs. We were both affected. - Cockroaches near the trash can. (It is designed to sit in a cupboard, but open.) - Only very few bungalows have a sea view. We stayed at number 1, which is located right behind the parking lot so that visitors to many of the other bungalows have to pass it. The bushes in front of the patio do not offer much privacy. - Make sure to inquire about sand flies at the beach, particularly if you make a short termed booking. When we were there in early January 2024, the stretch of beach in front of Heliconia was particularly affected so that we could not spend time there with our child.

• Alexey (10/5): Exceptional - Heliconia Grove - is a very nice place to stay on Praslin island! It is self-catering private villas with outdoor pool and direct access to the Cote D'or beach (just in the middle of this nice beach). Location is great - is is just 5-7 min by foot from village shops and at the same time it is very quiet place where you can feel like alone one-to-one to the nature. We like this kind of hotel - where you are completely free to do everything by yourself (not fixed with breakfast/dinner, some defined schedule and other rules as in 5-star hotels ;-) There is a barbeque place where you can cook fresh fish from the market best way as you wish. Villas has everything needed for life, quite comfortable and with style.. Hazel - hostess of these villas is really nice person, very kind and provides all the best for their guests!

• Khariton (10/5): I absolutely loved it - Although you don't see the beach from the rooms, its access is very convenient. Its a nice, quiet, clean beach with no seaweed growing close. The rooms are nice, i really like the planning. The floors are wooden, it is comfy to walk barefoot. By the patio there is a pool. Its a quiet location, with just 5-10 min walk to the bus station, food stores, restaurants etc. The property provides grill facilities and kayaks for free. I didn't find anything to dislike.

• Tahsin (10/5): Idyllic villa, perfect setting, wonderful host - Hazel was a lovely, welcoming host, and made our stay perfect. The grounds were beautiful, right next to an amazing beach, and the villa itself was wonderful. Restaurants and shops are a short walk away. I have no complaints at all.

The apartment was huge. 2 large bedrooms and shower and toilet facilities. Hazel, the host was amazing. Very attentive to our needs. Highly recommended and hopefully will visit again. • Lucas (10/5): Will come back there ! - Great stay at Heliconia! Very welcoming and great atmosphere. Little villas are very comfortable and right on the beach (not the best one of the island due to sandflies but nice!), but the private pool is a plus! We preferred to drive 20min to Anse Lazio which is the best beach and has all commodities for children. About 10min walk from the village (no sidewalk) where you find all you need and various restaurants. Otherwise, you can use the kitchen in your villa or bbq outside.

The property provides sunbeds so absolutely perfect for a lazy day at the beach. Special thanks to Hazel who was really kind and helpful with everything.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Our stay at the Heliconia Grove was simply wonderful. Maryvonne is a fantastic and welcoming host, very helpful in terms of providing information to help you make the most of your stay. For example, she arranged for a boat day-tour for us and told us all about how get around the island, rent bikes, get to Vallee de Mai and Anse Lazio, where to eat, etc. Her staff was also exceedingly pleasant and extraordinarily helpful. The location is amazing and the property/grounds are in outstanding condition. There are kayaks and beach chairs for your use, as well as an outdoor grill if you go fishing (or just buy some delicious fish from the local folks just a short walk away). Also each unit has a freshwater hose to wash off sand/saltwater and small pool that is perfect before/after the beach. I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed. My only regret is we did not stay longer.
• leila (10/5): Superbe chalet, emplacement idéal ! - Merveilleux endroit à 2 pas d'une des plus belle et paisible plage de l'île, 8 chalets à l'architecture locale, tout en bois, très bien décorés, literie et douche de qualité, adorable terrasse avec jaccuzzi. A noter que la plupart des hôtels sont de l'autre côté de la route alors que celui ci dispose d'un accès direct à la plage. L'ensemble est géré par Maryvonne, divine, gentille et très attentionnée. La meilleure hôte ! Elle est accompagnée d'Hazel, tout aussi souriante. La villa a été préparée pour notre bébé (chaise haute, barrière piscine, lit bébé). Une grande attention nous a été portée tout au long du séjour. Kayak et barbecue à disposition gratuitement. L'île est sublime et nous recommandons Anse Lazio, Anse Georgette, le snorkeling autour de Félicité, Coco, Grande soeur et une escale à curieuse et évidemment La digue. En revanche, évitez absolument les excursions bateaux via Holiday charter qui manque totalement à leurs obligations de sécurité, n'hésitant pas à maintenir les sorties par tempête. Nous avons risqué nos vies à cause de cette agence.
