• Adam (8/5): Lovely pub stay - Lovely heritage building. Room 36 (queen ensuite room) has recently been renovated - very clean, very warm, very charming. Great food downstairs in the bar and bistro - Leah took great care of us in the bistro. Mattress is too soft - we both kept ending up in the middle. The room is quite small, a proper cupboard to put all the extra pillows and our bags and clothes would have been handy.

• Malcolm (4/5): Not what we expected, but ok'ish. - The bed was Very Comfortable! One of the best I can remember in any hotel/motel! The food at the restaurant was lovely but it was a shame they didn't do breakfast. The room was sold as a "Family Suite". My idea of a "suite" and more especially a "Family Suite" is 2 bedroom and a bathroom. While you could argue that it had a bathroom, the tiny "bathroom" ("room" is generous as it was more a BathCupboard) did have a toilet and a shower.. squeezed into the smallest space they could. It turned out to be a single room with a corner bit with toilet/shower. And a sink in the bedroom area. We never saw any evidence of staff except at the bar, who we checked in with. The train track across the road which ran ALL night was not great.. so take earplugs! There was no TV in the room.. I kind of expect such a think in a Family Suite!

• YUN YOUNG (5/5): - 1. Location as I was travelling in the area. 2. Spacious room 3. Checked in late so no separate staff for the accommodation but the bar staff knew and was easy to get the keys and check in 4. Shared kitchen was good to get tea and coffee 5. Room was clean and had the towels 1. Knew the booking was for a shares toilet which was clean but not convenient 2. Early morning there was a fire alarm. Was dealt with but took and hour. 3. Room was cold at night but didn't know how to get the heaters working
• Ethel (9/5): A great place to stay, in a lovely place to visit and explore. - A very beautiful, well maintained old style pub. The room was very comfortable. I loved the windows that opened and the garden view with autumn leaves. The bed and heating combined with the effective window coverings ensured a good dark room for sleeping. Dinner in the downstairs restaurant was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient. The range of dishes was great with a good array of tasty vegetarian & vegan choices. The fresh figs with Goat's cheese was perfect! There was nothing that I didn't like.

The meals in the bistro were also really delicious and the staff were lovely. Very happy! We were positioned quite far from a bathroom, but that was only a minor inconvenience.

• Helen (6/5): A pub stay with over priced dining and facilities - The hotel which is a pub with different bar and dinning areas had good options for dining and drinking and right in heart of Bundanoon. The hotel pub is very noisy - freight trains passing through the night were very noisy and band played well past 10pm. Also the piping in room made dripping noises and the bathroom light when turned on lite up the entire room as it’s just frosted glass used to seal the bathroom from room!

• Rebecca (7/5): A pretty village but an unremarkable stay. - Location was good. The view over the carpark wasn’t awesome, but the room was clean and OK sized. We really didn’t have any interaction with anyone at the hotel at all. We arrived at 5pm and no one was on the front desk, so we had to check in at the bar. We took ourselves to our room. There was no light in the corridor upstairs, and no one to ask to fix it, so I just used the torch on my phone to find our room number. And when it was time to leave the following morning, again there was no one at the front desk so we just dropped the keys and left. The room wasn’t bad, just not a very welcoming interaction.

• andrew (6/5): A big price for a dodgy room - We have been to this lovely hotel many times for dinner, which is always excellent. We had a large room with old furniture which needs money spent on it to bring it up to the standards of the twenty first century. The room had a queen bed and was advertised as a regular rental of $200 per night. The room had power supplied by a powerboard suspended from the jug lead with which also connected to the bed lights and fan. There was no fridge or TV in the room. The man at the bar dealing with reception sent us upstairs only to find we were downstairs, which we had requested "if available".

The outdoor area was lovely and our room (we chose an ensuite) was clean and comfortable. There was no fridge in our room, however there was a fridge in a common area. All in all a lovely stay.

• Ravi Kanth (3/5): Not recommended - Ensuite bathroom is a just bathroom with glass partition within the bedroom itself and the ceiling of bathroom is kept open to bedroom, so foul smell from bathroom will get into bedroom as the glass walls of bathroom are not extended upto ceiling. Never imagined and expected something like thus that too in Australia
• Richard (7/5): A nice nostalgic night among the inebriated - The building was great, the communal bathrooms are great fun all things considered with the high quality finishes, the bedrooms are small but clean and benefit from thermal massing. I was in the brigadoon wing (ground floor looking at the carpark) and it was pretty nice, but the resident break room smelt awful and you wonder why the staff don't air it out. The doors were unanimously noisy with clumsy door knobs so people going in and out of their rooms became the close personal business of everyone else on the floor. I had to knock on a door at 12.30 am to stop a scrum of kids who were clearly ready to continue to joke and give loud opinions until 6am, they were very polite and apologised and immediately piped down so ultimately it was all good. You expect noise until 12am in a pub hotel, it's just when it went further than that that i had to think of my long drive in the morning. A word on the staff, lady at the front desk was brisk and nonplussed; the English bar tender was class; the lady who ran the restaurant wait staff was imposing but warm; the father helping his son pick the lock of the staff only door in the brigadoon wing was charming. The town itself was good for a night and a morning - we did the Fairy Bower walk which was great, then Axe Thai was very tasty and well staffed, in the morning the weekend antique lady near the cafe ran by a mum and her daughters (or something like that) was kind and had good stuff. You want to support the IGA but it seems to have lost business to the hideously overpriced servo next door. I was in the brigadoon wing (ground floor looking at the carpark) and it was pretty nice, but the resident break room smelt awful and you wonder why the staff don't air it out. Kitchenette didn't a full stock of bowls and cutlery for early breakfast. Ants in room in the morning. Small things that didn't impact much but can be improved.
