sebastien (8/5): Good stay, thank you - Nice stay, bedroom is clean, the owner is nice. Its a house where the family live. In the second floor you have a place to rest like a rooftop. Quiet area, small old street, some street food around. Very good location, not far from downtown. I recommend.

Valérie (10/5): Accueil chaleureux et familial - Accueil très chaleureux et familial, belle terrasse avec vue sur la ville, lit très confortable, très peu de touristes dans le quartier qui n'est pas trop bruyant. Très belle rencontre avec des personnes toujours prêtes à rendre service.
Kevin (8/5): Bis zum nächsten Mal - Das Personal scheint hier eher eine Familie über mehrere Generationen zu sein und Oma ist trotz gesundheitlicher Einschränkung ein echtes Bündel Fröhlichkeit. Wir waren schon vor 2 Jahren hier und man hat uns doch wieder erkannt und Oma hat uns direkt ein Zimmerupgrade gegeben. Neben dem super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist die Dachterasse ein besonderes Highlight an der Unterkunft. Hier kann man sich tagsüber im Schatten aufhalten. Ventilatoren wären noch gut. In unserem Zimmer 4 - 3 hat es etwas gerochen. Ich vermute die Klimaanlage.

Harold (5/5): - Quiet residential area. 15 minute walk to/from Hua Lamphong station. The Mountain Goat coffee shop is nearby, with very good coffee. There is a quaint morning local market on the same street. AC (room 2-2) was shut off during the day so the room was not habitable then, and was too cold when turned on at night. You do get a blanket though.

Muy buen ambiente con las además personas. Mención especial para "Mama" y su marido, así como las empleadas.. estarás como en casa son gente estupenda.

Andreas (9/5): Nice, friendly and cozy - Lovely owners, it's urban as the name states, but it also has the comfort of having your own room with AC, shower, heck, even a couch! 10 minute walk away from Hua Lamphong station (Blue Line).

Ofek (4/5): לא מוצלח - זול, היינו שם לילה אחד לפני טיסה, לא צריך יותר מזה לפחות יש מים חמים אין באמת שירות, לא היה לו את ההזמנה והיינו צריכים להראות בטלפון המזגן עבד ולא היו בטריות בשלט אז לא היה אפשר לסגור אותו מגבות ניילון כאלה שלא מייבשות כלום ריח לא טוב של צבע בחדרים

Cappadoro (7/5): Bon rapport qualité/ prix - L'emplacement, le roof top L'équipement, frigo, micro-ondes, eau chaude et froide gratuite, des rideaux dans les lits dans le dortoir ce qui est plus intime. Je n'ai pas apprécié que l'on me force la main pour un tip , mon séjour à coûté 594 bath , le propriétaire a voulu me rendre la monnaie sur 600 , j'aurais volontiers laissé les 4 baths si on ne m'avait pas forcé la main. Du coup j'ai réclamé ma monnaie exacte. Également un incident avec ma réservation que l'établissement à annulée, prétendant ainsi que je n'avais pas honoré ma réservation et que je n'étais pas dans l'établissement. Erreur ou pratique frauduleuse, je n'en sais rien, booking s'est chargé gérer la situation. Mais coup de stress dont je me serais bien passé...

Glen (9/5): - Good air conditioning. We waited around 25 minutes for a Grab driver to accept our pickup request and be dispatched. I feel this needs to be said due to the property's location and the way local drivers are more picky with what jobs they will accept.
Thomas (8/5): Great balcony, little privacy - Amazing location, 15 min walk to Chinatown/Hua Lamphong metro/train station. A great, cheap local street market right outside the door. A great shared balcony on the 4th floor (east walk up) with an incredible view over the city, even in the rain. Large, comfortable bed with good sized bathroom/shower. The deluxe bedroom has a window facing the shared balcony where people have breakfast/dry clothes, so don't expect to keep the curtain open, not much privacy. The owners are a charming older couple who live on the ground floor, so you feel like your staying with a family, for good and bad. You can't have guests, even in private rooms, there are long term renters in the building also, and everytime you enter you see the owners, it can feel a bit like being babysat.

Дольше находиться я бы не советовала - После совершенного проживания хозяева отменили бронь и сообщили букингу , что мы не приехали . Зачем была эта ложь ? Могли снять штраф ни за что . Местоположение хоть и рядом с центром , но крайне неуютное . В душевой черная плесень и слизни .

This is a great place for people who want a budget travel. Room had access to massive balcony,where you can rest and eat. Washing machine and tumble dryer provided. For people who like walking, takes1.5h to get to the Grand Palace or Wat Arun.

Rose (10/5): Exceptional - What I like most about Urban Hostel Bangkok is the couple who owned and managed it. They are elderly couple but they are the best host. They gave suggestions where to go in Bangkok. They are so accomodating and kind. They even gave us some charms and fruits which made us so touched. We will come back foe sure. Since it's family owned facility, it has no elevator, but it's okay for us.
Mikhail (8/5): Very good - I had a private room located on the upper floor with a direct access to a shared rooftop lounge zone. It was clean and comfortable for me. The check-in zone looked pretty scare with owners living right in that lobby, but i was travelling single this time and it was OK for me. Streets outside are not shiny luxury boulevards - there is a poor life around, with a real local cheap (but tasty) street food.

Kat (7/5): A decent room - It is very conveniently located close to Chinatown. It is certainly an option for a very short stay. The hostel appears to be a family house, which I didn't realise until I arrived. It would greatly benefit from a renovation. While the room was not dirty, there was mould all over the bathroom and ants crawling on the bed. The room was close to a water pump that is pretty noisy at night. Outside the room is a lovely terrace, which is where guests can gather. Fortunately no one used it at night while I was there but I can imagine it gets pretty noisy.

Lollofunky (9/5): Superb - Good price, very good location, nice owner, I love the balcony, perfect for reading and talking with new friends. I booked the dormitory. 14 beds. As you all know, you never know who you will share the room with. In this case I was unlucky. One guy was snoring. One guy was talking during sleep. Two guys kept on going out and back all through the night. The door could not be closed since the owner doesn't have 14 swipe cards. The actual bed was a bit hard - and this I like - but it made squeaky sounds every time I moved.

It's getting really hot when you don't use the AC. (which means when you are out as well) We stayed 5 nights and they didn't even ask us to clean the room once. Hard mattress, but not the worst that someone can find.

Chloe (9/5): Great stay, would recommend to anyone! - Comfortable bed, good shower, amazing balcony (deluxe room), air con worked. Owners upgraded me to the deluxe room, not sure why but it was great. Balcony was my favourite, views all over the skyline/city. There weren’t much restaurants in the area, owners were helpful but the language barrier meant I wasn’t really sure where was good to eat. Didn’t feel as though I could eat anywhere locally as there were just stalls, no seating really. Was manageable though as I spent most of the time away from the hostel.
Celine (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was nice although not everybody could speak English and the check in at 2am worked well. The hostel feels more like you're staying with a family in their home and less than a hostel. The older lady, who manages the hostel, sleeps on the couch in the reception area/common room/entry. The bathrooms were dirty and it was all quite run down unfortunately. The AC worked and the beds were okay to sleep in, so if you arrive in the middle of the night and just need a place to stay for a night, it's okay. But if you plan on staying longer, I wouldn't recommend it as this is not really a place you want to hang out or to meet other people.

Staff was friendly Black mold in bathroom, clutter everywhere, we put the please clean room sign up and no one cleaned, the next day we Asked for the room to be cleaned - came back to clean towels. No bed making or sweeping floors. The water tanks were outside our window and they started up every hour making it hard to sleep. The hotel laundry was drying right in front of our room door

Andrea (7/5): Not great not terrible, at least was cheap! - The reception is open 24h and the staff is really nice and helpful, their English is not great, but they make the effort to understand you. The breakfast is not had and it’s 100Bath (omelette with bread and the or coffee). We had a problem with our taxi the night we arrived and they helped us. Our room, that was in the 4th floor, was next to a machine that was very noisy and prevent us from sleeping. Also, some bugs and unpleasant insects visited our bedroom.

Clean-ish Lobby was the family's living room and had an elderly home vibe with old people watching TV most of the time. Common facilities were super dirty and messy. The room has no actual balcony or terrace it is the common area for smoking which is dirty and messy. No noise insulation whatsoever.
Khin (8/5): Fair value and Friendly owners - Location is very near to the city center and china town. It is 10 minutes walking distance to Hua Lamphong station. The surrounding has lot of street vendors. Owners are friendly. AC is very good for hot weather in Bangkok The building is old and the bed is a little not comfortable. But, there is no staff who will help with us with luggages. So, we have to carry by ourselves from 3rd floor.
Eoin (10/5): Highly Recommend - From Don Mueang Airport you can get here for just 5 Baht. You take the old train from airport to Hua Lampong station, and the hostel is just a 4 minute walk from there. From Hua Lamphong Station you can take the underground Metro to Si Lom and Sukhumvit and arrive in minutes. You can walk from hostel to river and get a 5 baht boat across the river to arrive at Icon Siam mall in 25 minutes. The hostel is truly awesome. The owners warm and friendly. A roof garden on roof. Rooms super cosy and very quiet at night. Everything was awesome

Erin (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very big and clean, I liked the balconies and upstairs deck, I loved that I could do laundry there, it was quiet, there were nice bedside reading lamps, it was close to a train stop, and most of all, I loved the sweet little old lady that worked there. She always greeted us with a big smile and was very accommodating and welcoming.
Udayan (9/5): Superb - The location of the hostel was in the city centre. They also allowed and prepared the room for early check in. Nothing that I would dislike about
Otto (7/5): Average - The room was spacious with a king bed and couch. We were on the 4th floor and had a nice patio to watch the skyline and there were tables to have drinks. Laundry service and water cooler available on 3rd floor was nice. A/C nice and strong. It’s ran by an older couple who are friendly however they didn’t know much English and the other staff knew no English which was hard to communicate. They didn’t know much regarding buses/tours even thought there was postings all over their walls. The shower was nice/strong however the water leaked all over the floor.
Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, big kitchen with a washing machine and dryer, the rooftop balcony is nice for hanging out. We really had everything we needed for our last couple of days in Thailand. Definitely excellent value for money.

Lasse (5/5): Doublebooked room but good value for money - Good value for money. Nice location with walking distance to china town and Lumphini park We arrived in the middle of the night as we came with a night bus. I had notified the staff of this beforehand, but still came to a doublebooked room, as they thought i wouldnt show up. After a long discussion with the owner at 5am in the morning we were allowed to get a few hours of sleep for free in their dorm and then we checked in at 2pm the following day to our room. It was an okay sollution, but we still weren't happy with the situation as we felt like we wasted half a day because of bad sleep in the dorm and waiting for the room to be ready. Also, in the 3 nights we spend there, our room was never cleaned.
Rebekah (8/5): Very good - The location is great- only a 10 minute walk from Hua Lumphong station. It's on a quiet street, plenty of restaurants and a 7-eleven nearby. The room was a decent size and very clean (as was the bathroom), with great AC. I like that there's a small kitchen available to use, with a hot/cold drinking water dispenser. They also have a washer and dryer to use for 40 baht each. I really like the upstairs terrace - it's a nice sitting area to relax. The family who runs it is pleasant. The bed was very firm, which isn't a positive or negative, just a personal preference.
