• DeeAnna Lynn (6/5): - No food at hotel other than snack shop and we need to leave at 7am and they serve breakfast at 730. Sleeping is poor bc ligjts remain on all night with tennis court outside window and only sheer curtains on window. Disappointing stay.

We’d booked 3 nights at the hotel but ended up staying for 10 nights as we were massively let down by the villa owner on the day of arrival in Kefalonia (we’d booked 5 months prior). Caroline on reception and owner Spiro couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely family run hotel. 20 minutes walk to supermarket and restaurants on the seafront. However the restaurant in the square, few minutes walk is very good and great atmosphere. Would suggest a car to explore other beaches. Alternatively “Hop On” boat hire just by the hotel is run by a nice couple so you can explore the coast and go to beaches than cars are unable to. Would recommend this hotel to friends & family.

The views from the hotel both out to sea and inland over the forests and mountain are wonderful. The hotel was very welcoming and friendly. Sami is the best town on this lovely island. Quiet out of season but lots to see and do, and great food.
• marianne (10/5): Super sauf .. - L'hôtel était super sympa, bien situé calme et reposant, le personnel vraiment adorable. Seul bémol l'isolation avec les chambres d'à côté, nous entendons tout ce qu'il se passe . Admettons à la limite que c'est difficile de changer cela, changez au moins le shampoing par pitié, il est vraiment pas à la hauteur de tout le reste ! Vraiment le pire shampoing que j'ai utilisé, rajouter au moins un peu d'huile olive pour ne pas se retrouver les cheveux en paille en sortant de la douche svp .

Lots of options for breakfast and staff are very happy to help. The bathroom sink was abit small and lacked storage but other than that wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Please note I was upgraded to a room in the hotel rather than the room I booked so this is not a review of the basic garden room. This hotel did try to get credit card details from me "for security" despite having paid in full, in advance, but to their credit when I challenged it they did back down.

• Richard (8/5): Not quite as good as we expected - We had one night here in preparation for a boa excursion on the following day. The room was ok but no tea or coffee provided despite there being a kettle and mugs. No water in fridge. The balcony was very small and the breakfast was disappointing with the lack of fresh fruit. Nice surroundings and reception were particularly helpful.

• Nigel (10/5): Relaxing seafront stay - Very enjoyable stay in the Garden Suite. We had a very relaxing stay, making good use of the pool, with the additional option of the sea at the front of the hotel. Service was very attentive from all the staff. Plenty of loungers available at all times. Well situated, a 20 minute stroll from the main restaurants in Sami, which was a lovely walk by the sea. Would definitely return.

• Barinder (10/5): A memorable and fantastic stay. - I cannot say enough good things about my stay here. Kefallonia has without doubt been the highlight of my trip and thats largely in part thanks to Spyros, Mary and the rest of the team who made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived in the hotel (and provided reassurance and support when I had stupidly left my phone and cards in the taxi that brought me there!) The room was comfy, the cleaniness excellent and the service overall was just top notch. It can be a bit of a challenge to sometimes get to other parts of the Island from Sami, but Spyros and his team were always on hand to ensure I was able to get to where I needed to be with minimal hassle. I certainly will be back again for sure!! Thank you so much for making this stay so memorable!

• Olga (10/5): - The staff and service at Sami Beach Hotel was above and beyond. Everyone goes out of their way to get to know you and you truly feel like you are a part of a family. The hotel has a great pool and has the option to be by the beach with service for food and drinks from the bar. The hotel is located near a few restaurants and just a short walk away is the town of Sami that offers more shops and restaurants to choose from.If you do not rent a car, the hotel operates their own taxi service that is very efficient and convenient. The staff is very hard working and really care about making sure you have a great experience during your stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone, and look forward to returning in the future.

• PAULA (10/5): Wonderful vacation at Sami Beach Hotel - If you are planning on going to Kefalonia, I strongly recommend you to stay in Sami, at Sami Beach Hotel, for sure. My wife and I just wanted to relax by the pool, looking at the beach, feeling fresh wind and having some drinks. We didn´t expect the care the staff would take with us. The staff are very friendly and helpful, starting with Mr. Spyros, the owner, always concerned about our well being. Many options for the breakfast, where you can find local sweets, season fruits and, of course, true Greek yogurt. At the pool bar, refreshing drinks and great food to taste. The pool is extremely clean and seems brand new. The garden is carefully treated and looks beautiful. The room has a comfortable bed, safe box, minibar and a good bathroom. The beach is right in front, just a few steps far. Moreover, you can rent your car at the hotel, an automatic one (you´d better rent an automatic because of the hills), with very good rates and in really good conditions. After all, it was an unforgettable trip and, besides astonishing beauty of the beaches, Sami Beach Hotel and its staff made it even more special. Alex and Paula

Loved the view and the ambiance. A peaceful location with a 15 minute waterfront stroll into Sami to the harbour restaurants at night. Lovely pool though we love to swim in the sea which you could do in front of the hotel. Great having sunbeds provided there as well as plenty around the pool so no fighting for them! Would highly recommend and would definitely return. (Most of the guests there come every year!) Thanks to the lovely team at Sami beach for making our week so enjoyable and relaxed!

Port de Sami à une quinzaine de minute de marche par la promenade de bord de mer. Au niveau des points d'amélioration : la déco, un peu vieillotte globalement et impersonnelle au niveau de la chambre. Globalement une excellente option de séjour.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This place was great. The hotel has everything you need. The staff are super-friendly and fantastically helpful. The ladies in the breakfast room are absolutely crazy (in a good way!) and give you a great start to the day! Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the pool is fantastic. Its only a 15 minute walk into town(which seems far away the first time but isn't really!) and there's also a bus to Agia Efimia which is a nice town also. My ONLY let-down of the hotel (and it's minor) is the choice of beer at the bar. Only small expensive bottles and we didn't like the stuff they had on draught. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food, but everything else there was fabulous and I'd definitely return.
• Claudietta (10/5): - Beautiful structure, very near to the marvellous Melissani lake (12 minutes walk) and to the Sami port (15 minutes walk). Rooms clean and bathroom with good and hot showers. Our room had a beautiful view on the swimming pool on the sea!!! Also pretty the interior setting: everything is white and turquoise, with shells and other details related to the sea. The swimming pool is clean and warm, you don’t need to wear a cup; there’s also a Jacuzi and tennis and table tennis, with a garden to relax in the back. Delicious breakfast, international but also with typical Greek specialities (yogurt, cake with apple and cinnamon, fresh fruits...), and starting from 9:00 AM you can eat in the outside area. We chose it for its position, since we wanted to visit the surrounding areas, but I think it would be a good choice also for a longer holiday.

• Linda (10/5): A real Greek gem suitable for families and couples - this genuine family run hotel is a real gem. we booked it last minute and were welcomed with a complimentary drink and perfect Greek (and some English hospitality) from all the staff. rooms were lovely and clean with the best bathroom i have ever had in a Greek hotel (I have been visiting Greece for 27 years)/. friendly bar by the pool where people gathered in the evening for a chat. Peaceful beautiful location right on the beach with turtles and a taverna in 2 mins walk. easy walk along the beach to sami town to and many ferries to various places from Sami. top rate place, would highly recommend

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good location and excellent outside space - The hotel's customer service is excellent and the outside space around the pool is just perfect, overlooking the beach with a nice poolside bar too. The location of the hotel is ideal for a short 10 minute walk into Sami for eating at the many tavernas and ideally placed if you hire a car and want to tour the island. We have no hesitation in recommending Sami Beach Hotel.

• William (10/5): Great hotel - Hotel is amazing. Great staff, great location. Only area for improvement is that the hotel is a little outdated. It's not rundown at all, It's actually one of the cleanest hotels I've seen. Just a few things that could be improved. Updated bathrooms, and A.C. unit. As humid and warm as it is by the ocean, the a.c. couldn't seem to keep up. But overall I would recommend this hotel 100% and will definitely look to stay again if ever on the island.
